Arena
Pwnemon's Hypernatural Emporium
Welcome to Pwnemon's Nature Emporium!

...What, are you surprised that I'm leading you indoors? You say a Nature Emporium should be out in nature? You know I'm always in pursuit of the best: Nature wasn't natural enough for me, so I made an arena that was supernatural! No, wait, that word's been taken... HYPERNATURAL! Pwnemon's Hypernatural Emporium. I like it.

Anyway, what do we do in here? We stimulate the senses of grass-type Pokemon by rapidly cycling between all the common natural types of weather—sun, rain, and sandstorms (no, you're not the first person to point out that sandstorms aren't common, shut up and battle me). Such stimulation drives these Pokemon into overdrive, unleashing their full natural talent. Unfortunately, it also causes them to produce bucketloads of sap—even the ones not based on trees shut up—which is a bug that will be fixed at a later date but until then grants them all the ability Sticky Hold! So yeah, aside from the endangered animal pet store in the back of questionable legality, that's basically all we do here. Now let's battle!

Summary: (if youre really too lazy to read my minimal flavor smh)
- Cycles between Rain, Sand, and Sun every round
- Grass-types all have Sticky Hold

Yet another beautiful day here in the Grass Gym. Undoubtedly more popular of the newer gyms on the scene, possibly because of its largely unbiased arena rules. Walking in we have the Bug typed leader himself Rediamond. Although he brings a couple less bugs than one might have hoped.

Stealing an idea from Frosty lets run down each players potential key Pokemon. For Pwnemon this educated eye sees Ambrose the Pyroak' as the powerhouse. Rock Headed Flare Blitz aside it's only directly weak to one of Red's STABs and 120 starting HP is just silly. Meanwhile it looks like Scadi the Syclant is going to be as important as ever for Rediamond. Those dual STABs look mighty frightening in here, but as always using a Syclant is a tricky proposition. Basically she's the very definition of a glass cannon.

Either way lets get this one going! PM me those leads!

..... Oh yeah, as soon as we find out what the weather is.

SAND (INF)

Right off the bat we have both powerhouses on the field for the respective trainers and they look ready to kick it off hard. Scadi shows off her power right away with a Bug Buzz targetting both Alec's horrible defences and worst weakness. Unfortunately for Corpus the Bug leader himself has made a rather large blue and forgotten that Heracross can't even learn X-Scissor!. Instead poor Corpus just Struggles away aimlessly. Ambrose is making no such mistake and unloads his big weapon with a Flare Blitz at Corpus that hits hard. Alec makes a sacrifice for the team and Switcheroos away that pesky Rocky Helmet, albeit at the cost of his own boosting item.

Alec clearly thinks that many more blows are coming his way and he gets ready to Endure it all. Fortunately for him and unfortunately for Rediamond the Sand Veil really kicks in and both Scadi's Blizzard and Corpus' Megahorn completely miss their mark on Alec and he escapes the action totally unscathed! Ambrose does have to wear a little from the snowy attack but nothing he can't handle. Especially when he pummels Scadi back with frankly ridiculous damage from another Flare Blitz.

The end of the round is somewhat more successful for Red as another Bug Buzz finds its mark on Alec but Corpus completes a pathetic round by just missing altogether with another Struggle. Alec is forced to resort to the age old Hyper Beam to do decent damage to Corpus while Scadi's crushing weakness comes back to haunt it, as is often the case as the combination of a second Flare Blitz and the Sandstorm do just enough to send her out of the match and give Pwnemon an early lead!

Just as Rediamond begins to realise the pickle he is standing in the sand on the field mystically turns to rain. No prizes for guessing our leader might have a double switch up his sleeve here.

RAIN (INF)

With the rain clearly prompting Pwnemon's choice of team, Red kind of has no choice to make a bit of a switch too. But the whole round is a bit of a boring one, with the Leader chipping away a bit of damage here and there on both Celeste and Shade while also ensuring a pesky Burn doesn't hamper Penny. Rediamond on the other hand spends basically the entire round setting up one hell of a Hex at the opposing Ghost type. Sure it might do almost three quarters of Penny's total HP in damage but the end result still leaves our challenger drastically behind in the HP stats. Maybe the return of some Sand will give him a chance to catch up.

It's time you abandoned the game and found your own road to happiness.

Looking to press the advantage and move in for the kill Alec... Protects himself? Well that's hardly a way to bring your foes down fast, especially while Ambrose flat out flinches at the crush of a Rock Slide from Corpus. Sand Veil didn't even hax it up this round but Shade did waste his time throwing a fiery Hidden Power into Alec's shield. Finally deciding to get on with the job Alec unleashes a huge Suuuuuper Sucker Punch, like what a sucker that Shade was as the hit takes him within an inch.. but unfortunately for Pwnemon not enough to bring the Gengar down before a bit of a Sludge Bomb does indeed take Alec out. I guess Pwnemon will have to settle for taking one KO in this otherwise domination. Speaking of domination Ambrose has some of his own to show off with repeated Flare Blitzes, one to knock Shade the heck out and another to both burn and cripple Corpus. At least the Heracross got one hit in with another Rock Slide on Ambrose, but Sand Veil wasn't even needed as Rediamond im sure totally facepalmed while his Stone Edge went totally awry. I mean at least he now has Guts and Swarm active to blast the crap out of a Grass mon with some Megahorning right? Becuase I'm sure he will totally get a chance to hit before going down. And yes, you are reading the most negative flavour ever, sorry Rediamond.

Banned deucer.
i wont pretend to understand why you traced what you did

Ludicolo: Fake Out Gardevoir ~ Icy Wind Gardevoir ~ Leech Seed Gardevoir
IF Gardevoir uses Protective/Evasive then chill and pushback
IF Gardevoir is going to use encore on you next action then use Hydro Pump Gardevoir that action

Pyroak: Heat Wave ~ Flare Blitz Heracross ~ Flare Blitz Heracross
IF Heracross uses Protective/Evasive and you're using heat wave then flare blitz Gardevoir and push back
IF you are tormented and would be using flare blitz and used flare blitz the previous action then flame charge gardevoir and pushback
KO: IF heracross is KOed when you attack then redirect to Gardevoir

I'm waaaaay to lazy to try and salvage this.

Pwnemon is definitely moving in for the kill here, but moving first means it needs to be done slowly. Celeste and Corpus combine to avoid the Fake Out flinch and get off one more decent hit before the Heracross goes down, but even still it's only somewhat of a dent in the mighty Pyroak's amour. Ambrose the responds with a Heat Wave that manages to hit both foes and take Corpus out for good. All eyes then turn to Celeste who cops two Flare Blitzes from Ambrose, including a whopping one to start. Celeste wants to have last revenge with a Destiny Bond but that was a little silly seeings that she's not even going down this round. Emma takes it easy and drops the Gardevoir's speed and sticks her with Leech Seeds as Pwnemon eeks this one out for another, albeit forgone, round.
