Finally this is getting approved. I hope Great Sage/Jibaku should re-test Gyarados before banning it in #ubers no fair IMO. The quest to bring back the old Uber moderators begun!

[Overview]

STRONGEST RAW WATERFALL IN THE GAME!!! F*ck you Great Sage Adaptability Crawdaunt. Taunts your ass, regardless of your size. Intimidate scares out any Ubers, even Groudon. Moxie lets it become even scarier every turn because you will be OHKOing everything. Gyarados's unique attributes lets it rule Ubersland, for further info ask user Girl93.

[SET COMMENTS]

This set destroys anything. End of story. What more you do you need to stamp this?. Waterfall is strong STAB, but is weather dependent and you can only hurt people in rain, right? NO, Gyarados's Waterfall is a 100% OHKO on Ho-Oh. Earthquake lets you hit Steels immune to Toxic and isn't reliant on weather. Bulldoze is the better option to slow down threats who are usually faster than Gyarados such as Groudon. Dragon Tail lets you phaze stuff—and it sure feels good to smack their asses. Of course, this set uses Gyarados's most powerful move: HYPER BEAM. Such as powerful move with base 150 power will nail down anything not named Giratina and Arceus Ghost. It also preys on the lower Special Defense of most Ubers such as Groudon, Dialga, Kyurem-B and Zekrom, OHKOing all of them at +6 with a Modest nature. Last it is Gyarados's signature attack you must use it, and it has great neutral coverage in Ubers. Bounce is one of the best attacks in the game, you hop up high into the air and slam them down next turn. Ugh, Gyarados flies? Imagine a huge fish, over 20 feet tall falling right on top of you, that taste will be AWESOME! Oh it squashes Bug Arceus the most dangerous form ever.

Leftovers to stay healthy and fit like trickroom, the GYMNAST. Outrage is just OP; why? It kills Giratina, and will OHKO 100% as long as you pass it a Shell Smash and is holding a Life Orb. Moxie can be used over Intimidate if you are feeling confident; otherwise, use Intimidate to frighten opponents and chop down their attack. Double Team is used because Gyarados is Gyarados, check out in the anime how it uses Dragon Rage—you can't stop it from boosting. If you are a guy who wants to just destroy things, Choice Band is the way to go. You don't need defensive EVs; Gyarados can survive a -6 Bolt Strike from Zekrom and reply with Outrage for the OHKO. Steel Arceus, Fighting Arceus, Gastrodon, Forretress and Lucario are all safely walled.

Fire Blast destroys Ferrothorns that are nutcases. It maims strong Jibakus and smelly Furries too. Earthquake smashes his masterpiece known as Heatran. Blizzard is for the whole Dragon Slayer thing, it OHKOes almost any Dragon in the tier save Kyurem, Giratina, Dialga, Palkia, Reshiram, Zekrom, Latios, Latias and Giratina-O. Even the goddess Shaymin-S is slayed in one shot. Rayquaza, Salamence, Dragonite, Garchomp and even the mighty Haxorus can just forget about surviving a Blizzard. Keep in mind when using Blizzard that you should use a Rash nature with Ice Gem to guarantee the mentioned OHKOs. Rash > Mild because you need to preserve Gyarados's amazing Attack stat and amp up that spectacular base 60 SpA.

Thunder lets you abuse the common rain and slams Kyogre for a solid 3HKO with Life Orb. It also lets you take out opposing Gyarados, which is pretty damn important for any Ubers team. Impish vs Adamant is the age old argument of Bulk vs. Power, and either way works because Gyarados has the highest RAW Defense of any Ubers, better than Lugia. Giratina does not count because it sucks. Gyarados will make a fine replacement over Giratina-O as your wallbreaker thanks to its higher Attack and Defenses as well as a lack of a Dragon weakness. Adamant is used when you don't need the SPECIAL attacks, just pure manly power; according to Smogon's statistics, Gyarados really is one of the most manly Pokemon around, so in sum: Adamant for brawny guys, Impish for haughty asses and Rash for lesbian wannabes. You can just use Modest Gyarados if you are shy.

[Other Options]

Dragon Dance? Sorry, Gyarados doesn't dance well. Strong Fishy, Double Team set, Choice Band, Splash Plate, Angry Fish, and Triple Status(Scald, Thunder Wave, Toxic) are all excellent options. If you want pure power, LEER is an option to soften up walls, especially Lugia and Arceus. After a Leer you can 2HKO them at worst. Splash can be used to trick the opponent into thinking you are a noob and show them how to win with 5-6. Tackle uses Gyarados's high Attack stat and will land a solid hit on almost anything save Aggron. Twister can be used to tear apart towns and smash down Rayquaza in about 5 hits; it's pretty awesome if you ask me.

[Checks and Counters]

A counter to Gyarados does not exist due to its sheer versatility and power. Groudon? ICE BEAM. Ferrothorn? Roasted by Fire Blast. Palkia? Eat an Outrage then come back. Lugia the Great? STONED by Edges. Giratina? Dragon Dance + Dragon Gem Outrage OHKOes Giratina after SR and Spikes. Skarmory? THUNDER. For you to safely beat Gyarados, your best choice would be the right switch-in on the right set. Trying to counter a Fire Gem Gyarados with Fire Blast using Ferrothorn is just dumb—you won't succeed. For that I propose Gyarados as S-rank in the Ubers Viability list.

Your best bet vs. Gyarados is just by asking trickroom on how to beat it or just pray the opponent sucks. You can't stop Gyarados EVER. He will keep on appearing as long as trickroom is alive.

Who finds out the odd replay not featuring Gyarados gets Hops in #ubers!

This set is amazing, I watched a lot of your replays and I saw how it even beat DR members! :O This set is just sooo good, I hope it gets onsite soon as it'll revolutionize Ubers. Did you try selfdestruct on it? I think you can use an Action Replay to teach it that, just don't tell your opponent you did or they might get mad. Anyways, it's no wonder this Pokemon has made you so legendary TR. It's just THAT good.

Banned deucer.
Arceus seems to give you some trouble, so I suggest slashing Hyper Beam on somewhere. The power it brings is unparalleled and it has great neutral coverage in ubers
