Overview
########

Despite it's NFE status, Haunter has made quite the impact since its arrival in PU. It sits in a good Speed tier outspeeding common threats like Chatot and Mr. Mime and it's base 115 Special Attack is one of the highest in PU. Its terrific typing is good offensively, but combined with Levitate it is one of the best defensive types in the game!

Despite all these positive traits it has one major downside that stands out: Its absolutely terrible defenses. This undermines the godly typing it has and forces Haunter to rely on its immunities. It also has a hard time beating certain special walls like Lickilicky, and Sneasel, a common pokemon that can very easily Pursuit trap Haunter gives it a lot of trouble. However, if you play Haunter to it's strengths it can rip teams apart.

Moves
========

  • Shadow Ball is the most reliable Ghost STAB move it has access to, and it hits opposing Ghost- and Psychic-types.
  • Sludge Wave is also a strong STAB move that hits Dark- and Normal types that Shadow Ball can't hit, and it has a higher damage output if they are both neutral hits on the target, Sludge Bomb can be used as well for it's higher Poison chance, although this leaves Haunter walled by Quilladin which is rising in usage.
  • Substitute is a great move on Haunter because of the switches it forces. It can also dodge status moves and Sucker Punch.
  • Disable works well with Substitute because of Haunters excellent defensive typing and speed, allowing it to wall opponents who only have one move to hit Haunter with. Pain Split is useful for wearing down special walls and gaining back lost HP from Life Orb and Substitute. Will-O-Wisp can catch Pokemon trying to check Haunter like Piloswine, Sneasel and Kecleon.

The overview (well, and everything else) should be in bullet points until you have 2 QC checks, but what you have is good so I would just condense it into bullet points and keep what you have now saved somewhere else until you go to write the whole analysis up.
