Well the reason I am doing this for is to get legit 3+IV Dittos for breeding. And I am considering this being an alternative to Chaining in XY. After a chain of 60+ all the dittos are guaranteed to have 3+IVs, but it takes more than an hour to get there and you have to stay focused before and after that.

DexNav might not be the be most effective, but the most reliable way to do so (it's probably much easier to use the DexNav (without the ambition to get a chain) while watching tv or some sweet streams on the internet than trying to get a 60+ chain).

If you're not against cloning, you can just get a 6IV German Ditto, as well as nearly any HP combination Ditto, from Most's giveaway thread in Wi-Fi. It's legit as far as Smogon itself is concerned, else he wouldn't be providing them in the first place, but not everyone necessarily likes clones or RNG abused Pokemon. (not really possible in gen 6, and possibly onward)

Regardless, chaining in X/Y is just to potentially get better odds of a shiny, not better IV's. (you can get 2+IV Ditto from a Normal type Friend Safari that has them. I think pikapal's has them)

You still have to sneak up to the Pokemon to battle it. Move too fast and it flees. And it's only still in grass. I've mentioned the pains of trying to even find anything in caves, much less actually trying to sneak up on it.

While I personally don't see why you would care about having a clone of what's ultimately just going to spend almost all of its time in the day-care holding a Destiny Knot, (only reason to take it out is if what you're breeding needs egg moves it doesn't already know) I'll just leave it at good luck getting a decent Ditto.

In short, just keep plugging away at it, though I would go Naive for an Infernape that cares about its Special Attack over Jolly which hinders the stat anyway.

Just pointing out you don't really need 6IV unless going mixed. (and for that matter, special attackers like Gengar don't necessarily need a 0 in Attack. The less the better in case of Foul Play/confusion, but it's still situational) Happy breeding!

I'm more curious about this than anything else; but say you have a copy of Platinum and a copy of Pokémon Battle Revolution. While I of course know those two can interact; can they interact if PBR is in a Wii U? I'm not sure if it has the capability to connect to DS games or if that was gutted.

Maybe? The Wii U knows how to connect to a 3DS, don't see why it can't connect to a normal DS while emulating the Wii.

BREAK Evolutions are similar to LvXs. The only difference gameplay-wise is that you can evolve BREAK Evolutions when they're on the bench, whereas you can only evolve LvXs when they are your active Pokemon. The reason they exist is just a different formatting to the old LvX cards.

Lucky Egg is not factored into any Pokemon's tiering. Anything can become better with boosted exp. which skews it's viability. The same as the Exp. Share...

Well... it seems the tier list makers are relenting on EXP. Share, albeit on the assumption that if used one generally only faces trainers they can't avoid IIRC... Pretty much as long as its not over-leveled for an important battle, then a Pokemon's viability isn't likely to be noticeably skewed if I understood their reasoning behind concluding EXP. Share isn't as utterly broken as initially believed right.

I could be wrong though.

Gen VI Exp. Share isnt that bad if you are gunning through the game and only fighting mandatories with the occasional encounter as I have done myself on XY and ORAS. I lifted the ban for XY but threw in a recommendation that Exp. Share runs for normal players should be gun runs (i.e. do not fight everyone) so as to stop people from getting overleveled everything.

It is only utterly broken if you beat every trainer with it on like what 90% of players tend to do with it on.

As for Lucky Egg I do not care about it for XY; you can use it but it is not doing anything relevant outside of cutting down the minimised grinding time as a result of Exp. Share even further.
