Overview: Five of the best active ORAS Ubers players have assembled to present you with a challenge reminiscent of the retired Smogon Frontier. Your objective is to beat all of them within a month's time, gaining the title of Champion. The one with the title of Champion at 2:30PM December 21st, GMT -5 is the winner of the year's installment of the Ubers Challenge.

Rules (failure to read these could result in disqualification):

• Post "in" here to apply as a challenger.
• The challenger and/or the HRUC member must post the result of a game in the thread within a reasonable time frame after it occurred (think 24 hours, but I'll be fairly lenient with this).
• Either the challenger or the HRUC member is mandated to save and post replays after a win or a loss. Failure to do so renders the result of the match void. This tour, like any other, is a lot more fun with replays and this prevents any and all disputes about the victor of a match. It also gives the average player more of an edge via researching their opponents, as all replays will be posted in the OP under each HRUC member's profile.
  
  • The result of a game is not rendered void if a suitable number of witnesses can confirm that the game did indeed happen and are in agreement on the victor. However, if a game occurs while replays are down, please save a log of it using pastebin or a similar resource.
• Don't battle on Pokemon Online unless both the challenger and the HRUC member agree to it. PO sucks.
• Matches are best of one, unless both parties agree to play a best of three series instead.
• Matches have the standard clauses and bans. (Sleep Clause, Species Clause, Moody Clause, OHKO Clause, Mega Rayquaza ban, and HP % Mod).
• Smashpass is banned, as per this tour's tradition.
• One is allowed to challenge HRUC as many times as they wish. However, after a challenger's loss is posted they must wait 48 hours to partake in the Challenge again. Additionally, they start over with a clean score (meaning none of their wins prior to this loss count). Members have the right to refuse consecutive matches, but if one is deliberately johning in any other instance and it becomes detrimental to the tour as a whole please notify a subforum moderator or myself.
• HRUC members may also challenge but they will have to battle the substitute in place of themselves.
• In the case of a HRUC member also being the Champion, challengers will have to beat that player twice-- once as a HRUC member and later on as the HRUC Champion.
• After/if a champion is crowned, future challengers of HRUC must beat all its members before challenging the Champion (and then beat the Champion) to gain the Champion title.
• One does not have to battle the HRUC members in any set order. If someone isn't available in the immediate future for you, just move on and challenge the next guy and come back to them when you both find a time that works.
• If for whatever reason you can't play one of the members, you may challenge the substitute in their place (the substitute cannot play in place of the champion). The same rules that apply to matches vs the regular members apply to the matches vs the substitute.
• Lastly, state your identity before you challenge a member for HRUC.
