• Huntail can be a Shell Smash sweeper but is generally outclassed by Gorebyss and Barbaracle. Huntail also has priority in Sucker Punch but Carracosta does that as well. Huntail can be mixed unlike the other Shell Smashers thanks to its decent special attack.
• Huntail has the ability Water Veil making it immune to burns allowing it to set up on Will-o-Wisp users as well as not get crippled from a Scald or Lava Plume burn.
• Huntail faces competition from Bulk Up Floatzel who has less bulk but access to Taunt as well as a high base speed.

• Substitute should always be used when there is a pokemon who will most likely click Taunt or Encore. Pokemon like Liepard and Skuntank are perfect bait examples.
• Never try to rush Huntail's set up, usually it can come in on a pokemon that doesn't threaten it and set up from there.
• Never try to "over due" Huntail's set up as it is a very easy pokemon to kill with a strong move that is super effective or special.
• Huntail can abuse its ability against Will-o-wispers like Weezing and Misdreavous to set up on since neither of them can threaten Huntail to much and Huntail gets a free turn to set up substitute or Coil

Team Options
========

• Physical partners to receive these boost like Tauros and Rhydon, these two mentions also appreciate the accuracy boost.
• Pokemon that appreciate the defense boost when setting up like Lilligant and Xatu who can boost there Special Defense as well.
• Huntail doesn't like taking prior damage since it can not stay in to long anyways so hazard removal is a good option, some examples are Cryogonal and Shiftry.
• Huntail appreciates the help from Toxic Spikes since it makes it so pokemon can not use Huntail as set up fodder. Pokemon like Weezing and Garbodor can do this very well especially Garbodor since it can remove Toxic Spikes from your side as well.

• Huntail shouldn't set up to early as it isn't the srongest pokemon in the world and other pokemon can still take hits from hits like Hariyama and Cradily
• Huntail should also try to avoid coming in as much as possible before the sweep since it can get wittled down extremly easy and further limits the amount of set up opportunities

• Pokemon that remove hazards help in allowing Huntail to have an easier at time setting, pokemon like Cryogonal and Skuntank can perform this role well.
• Huntail does not like fighting types since most of them can take a hit either OHKO or bring it to close death. Pokemon like Mesprit and Musharna can do this well.
• Huntail dislikes bulky waters so pokemon like Cacturne and Electivire can assist in Huntail's sweep.
• Memento users can create a lot more set up chances so pokemon like Jumpluff and Skuntank can help make Huntail's sweep a lot easier.
• Huntail likes pokemon that can remove revenge killers such as Sawk, Rotom, and Combusken so options like your own Rotom and Mesprit can help as well. These two in particular can also trick walls like Quagsire that can stop Huntail.

• Huntail can run an offensive Coil set but it is outclassed by its Shell Smash variant which allows it to run mixed and gain speed.
• Huntail can Baton Pass Aqua Ring and Iron Defense but these options aren't as good and often are excluded due to having not enough room in the movepool.
• Huntail can use Refresh over substitute which helps out a bit better against faster pokemon with status moves but it is not recommended due to Substitute also being able to block Taunt and Encore as well as take hits for Huntail.
• Super Fang and Whirlpool are options but it really doesn't fit into Huntail's play style.
• Huntail can use Aqua Tail over Waterfall for slightly more damage but it has a chance to miss as well as no flinch chance.
• Crunch can be used over Sucker Punch but this removes Huntail's niche and becomes completely outclassed by Barbaracle and Carracosta
• Bounce can be used to it hit grass and fighting types but since this move is a two turn move it becomes very easy to play around.
• Hidden Power Electric can be used to hit water types like Mantine and Poliwrath who don't really care for Sucker Punch and have Water Absorb

Checks and Counters

**Grass and Electric types** These types of pokemon can prevent Huntail from setting up. Pokemon like Electivire and Vileplume are pokemon that generally scare Huntail out. If using the Shell Smash variant grass types must be wary of the ice move.

**Taunt and Encore** Both of these moves can completely stop Huntail from setting up. Liepard usually carries one of these options.

**Entry Hazards** These limit the amount of set up opportunities that Huntail has. Huntail can scare some of these pokemon out like Claydol and Piloswine.

**Revenge Killers** These pokemon generally have a coverage move to hit water types and it doesn't help that Huntail's bulk is average. Pokemon like Sawk and Rotom tend to stop Huntail from doing what it wants to do.

**Quagsire** Quagsire can break Huntail's Substitute quite easily for the CoilPass variant it isn't scared of Shell Smash if it has since it has two abilities that stop Huntail from doing enough damage to it.

Locking this, there are a whole host of issues here.
The overall quality is extremely subpar, and to put it bluntly, this looks worse than whats on site now.

Mental Herb makes no sense whatsoever and I have no idea why you'd slash it.

The fact that you put a Shell Smash set is rather troubling, as anyone who plays this tier would know that it is utterly outclassed by Carracosta and Barbaracle and Coil pass is Huntail's only niche. In addition, you said that Hydro Pump hits Hariyama harder which makes literally no sense at all.

When I get some time I'm going to make some edits to the analysis on site, I decided this doesn't need a full revamp.

I appreciate your efforts to contribute, but please learn a bit more about the tier before reserving something else.
