Going for Vulcan the Tepig, shock horror ability is Blaze.

Start with a Will-O-Wisp to weaken him, then increase your Speed with a Nitro Charge. Finish up with Yawn.

Let's go with an evasive Quick Attack to dodge his Will-O-Wisp, then hit him with a Rock Slide to try and make him flinch, and then finish with a Force Palm.

*Riolu(M)
Nature: Adamant (Adds * to Attack. Subtracts * from Special Defense)

Abilities:
Steadfast: (Innate) If this Pokemon is flinched, it becomes aware of the speed difference and increases speed by one (1) stage to make up the difference.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to today's match. The arena today might not look like much, but the battle that happens here is sure to liven this place up, especially if any pokemon should end up in the water, of their own will or otherwise. So who have we got today? Well it looks like today's battlers are iiMKUltra and danmantincan. It's always good to see fresh faces in the arena because nobody knows what to expect from them.

Well it looks like iiMKUltra has chosen to kick off with a Tepig named Vulcan. That's some good naming there, pal. And the opponent danmantincan sends out a Riolu named ... Riolu? O ... K ... let's get ready to battle!

Vulcan is using her natural fiery powers to create a flame, but this flame is no ordinary one. It looks to me like a Will-o-Wisp and it's floating towards Riolu but it looks like Riolu saw this one coming and is dodging the flame while trying to land a Quick Attack on Vulcan. I've seen stronger attacks from a Magikarp, but it looks like Riolu pulled off the evasive part well enough.

Not wanting to wait for the Tepig's next attack, Riolu picks up some rocks that just happen to be lying around (because all grassy islands have rocks) and creates a Rock Slide right over Vulcan. Being a Fire-type, Vulcan was never gonna like having rocks dropped on her, but Riolu dropped so many of them on her that the Tepig struggles to get out from underneath them and is unable to attack when she does.

Seizing the opportunity, Riolu smacks Vulcan with a powerful Force Palm that knocks her off-balance. Vulcan doesn't get back on her feet, but it's clear that she's still got some fight left in her. Maybe she's bored. Yep, I'd say she's bored because she's now Yawning at Riolu, and you know what they say about yawns being infectious ... or was that smiles?

You're up danmantincan.

Ok, good job last round Riolu! I'll definitely have to give you a nickname eventually. Let's start things off by using an Agility and getting to those ruins for cover. Then hit Vulcan with a Rock Slide, followed by another Rock Slide, while using the ruins for cover.

After his success (or luck) in the previous round, danmantincan feels that Riolu can take some time to build up his speed and rush to a good spot of cover. Riolu's sudden burst of Agility is making reaching the ruins a piece of cake but Vulcan has other plans. Once again, she's trying to burn Riolu with a Will-o-Wisp. Will Riolu's cover be enough to avoid the ghostly flame?

Yes it is! That's the second Will-o-Wisp attack to miss him! It's not iiMKUltra's lucky day today is it. From inside the ruins, Riolu starts gathering rocks at his new high level of speed and creates another Rock Slide over Vulcan, but the Tepig is having none of it this time. She's heating up inside ... quite a bit ... and WHAM! Nitro Charge straight into Riolu's side! I swear that Tepig is now a little bit faster than it was before.

With his last attack being less effective than he hoped, Riolu runs back into the ruins and gathers more rocks than last time before dumping them on Vulcan's head. It looks like his plan worked, because this Rock Slide did more damage than usual, kinda like a critical hit, and Vulcan, surprised at how fast Riolu managed to get that many rocks down on her, hesitates and is unable to attack. iiMKUltra must be infuriated by now. But as if Arceus himself sensed iiMKUltra's fury, Riolu suddenly drops to the ground. Not dead, not knocked out, just asleep ... but it looks like a pretty intense sleep to me. This could be iiMKUltra and Vulcan's chance to turn the tables!

Will-O-Wisp him until it hits, Defense Curl once, and then hit him with a Nitro Charge.

If that isn't clear:
<iiMKUltra> ok
<iiMKUltra> so if wow hits
<iiMKUltra> dc - nc
<iiMKUltra> if wow misses once
<iiMKUltra> dc
<iiMKUltra> if wow misses twice
<iiMKUltra> just wow

Since danmantincan's actions are just going to be sleep-sleep-sleep I'm just going to update now.

-------------------------------

This looks like Vulcan's time to shine everyone! How will she take advantage of Riolu's tiredness? Well, once again, she's trying a Will-o-Wisp and this time it's on target! But amazingly, Riolu's now-burning insides are not even close to waking him up! While he's still asleep, Vulcan curls up into a ball to increase her defences. Naturally, this Defence Curl won't provoke Riolu to wake up, but now Vulcan's trying another Nitro Charge. It hits Riolu hard, but Riolu is only just starting to wake up and is too dazed to do anything this round. How will he fare with a nasty burn?

danmantincan's turn now.

Your still good Riolu! Let's hit Vulcan with a Force Palm to knock him into some ruin walls. Then create an Earthquake to make the ruins crumble on top of him and finish with a Rock Slide.

Let's end this quickly. Nitro Charge, making sure to stay away from the ruins, then Overheat when he gets too close. Finish with a Superpower.

With Riolu still feeling a bit tired, Vulcan takes advantage of her speed by landing a quick Nitro Charge and trying to keep her distance from the ruins, but Riolu catches up to her and whacks her with a Force Palm that knocks her straight back at them and paralyses her, slowing her down to almost a complete stop. Before she can react, Vulcan feels the ground shaking and looks up to see the ruins starting to collapse as a result of Riolu's Earthquake! She tries to move but cannot and feels the full force of the attack, which ultimately proves to be too much for her. iiMKUltra must return her to her pokeball.

It appears we are going first again because you are so awesome Riolu!

Let's start things off with Foresight to lock on to that ghost. Then hit it with 2 Force Palms. If it is paralyzed by the first Force Palm, then hit it with a Blaze Kick.

Okay. Trick Room to make you as fast as possible, then FeatherDance to weaken him. Then hit him with your best Meteor Mash.

A Nohface, huh? Rumour has it that some of the first Nohface (which have already evolved into Kitsunoh) were made in a secret laboratory far, far away. What we do know is that Riolu is going to have a hard time landing its Fighting-type attacks on Banquo here.

Wait, it looks like it's scanning Banquo. This must be that Foresight move I've heard stories about. Banquo's looking a bit less ... ghosty now ... and more like something you can punch. But wait, what's happening to the arena? What are these multicoloured walls about? Did the pokemon just make a rift in time and space and take us all to an alternate dimension? Oh wait, that's just Trick Room, but to the pokemon it looks like they are in an alternate dimension. Suddenly Riolu's looking really slow and Banquo's moving really fast.

Now it looks like Banquo is shaking a load of feathers off of him and towards Riolu. That's a funny way to do a Featherdance but it works, and just in time too. Riolu, having already seen how effective paralysing his opponents is, is going for that tactic again with a Force Palm. No such luck for him this time, but Banquo is still showing signs of pain.

Not wanting to waste any time, Banquo punches Riolu in the face and how he's seeing stars - literally. That was a Meteor Mash, and it's definitely left an impression on Riolu, but Riolu is not going to give up until he's paralysed the Nohface. He launches another Force Palm at Banquo and this time he succeeds in stunning his victim! danmantincan and Riolu just keep getting so damn lucky! But it can't be long before he succumbs to the burning.

Trick Room is going to be in play for another 4 rounds. iiMKUltra, once you're done raging about how much hax danman is getting, it's your turn.

Ok Riolu, I'm gonna call you "Haxxxy"

I want to to start the round with a Swords Dance. Then I want you to hit Riolu with 2 Reversals. Once you've done you job this round, I'm going to switch you out for;

*Growlithe(M)
Nature: Naive (A 15% increase (rounded up) in Base Speed and a +5% increase in accuracy (e.g. 85 becomes 90) on this Pokemon's attacks. Subtracts * from Special Defense)

Intimidate: (Can be Activated) When this Pokemon initially goes out into the battlefield, it generates an intimidating roar or war cry that shakes all opponents on the battlefield, reducing thier Attack stage by one (1). The attack drop is maintained at the end of each round. If an opponent switches in a new Pokemon, Intimidate can be activated again.

As a result of being paralysed, Banquo decides on an action that won't take much effort: Yawn. Once again, Riolu (now named Haxxxy? I guess that works) is starting to feel sleeeeeeeeeepy ... but not sleepy enough to prevent him from playing with sharp things in his Swords Dance. With them, he cuts through the feathers that plagued him mere moments ago!

However, Banquo has another plan: he will put a Curse on the pokemon whose good fortune crippled him and KO'd his companion. It pains the Nohface greatly to do this, but it might just be worth it. Undaunted by his new affliction, Haxxxy summons up the last of his strength and attacks Banquo with a Reversal, which seems to be really, really, really powerful!

Banquo's resolve does not falter (yet) and he fires off another Meteor Mash, managing to avoid becoming totally paralysed for a full round! Haxxxy is well and truly on his last legs now and he attacks one more time with Reversal, this time taking down his opponent but ultimately succumbing to the burns and the curse. Ladies and gentlemen, both pokemon are down and out!

Clearly some supernatural being is at work here, because iiMKUltra has had such misfortune since sending out his first pokemon and is now down to his final one. He's just praying that he gets some good fortune to balance things out, but with a Dratini for an opponent and then something else afterwards, it'll take more than a prayer to Arceus.

With the god of hax on his side, danmantincan orders his Dratini to open fire with Thunder Wave, paralysing the limbless Koffing. Polaris tries to react, but is unable to move. iiMKUltra's not going to be too happy with that, and it gets worse. Dratini is now emitting a strange energy that I can only guess is a Dragon Pulse. It's a pretty powerful attack and unfortunately Polaris still can't move! Just for good measure, Dratini finishes the round with an Ice Beam that freezes Koffing solid ... nah I'm just kidding. Now, an incredibly annoyed Koffing is finally able to pull off a move: Sludge Bomb. It looks like fate was briefly smiling upon him because Dratini is now suffering from poison!
