Arena: ASB Arena

Surrounded by thousands of screaming Pokemon fans, the ASB Arena can be best described as a standard Pokemon battling arena. In the center of the arena lies a dirt-based floor outlined to show two separate sides (with a white Pokeball center). Surrounding the dirt is a moat filled with water. The moat is about fifteen feet wide and creates a perimeter around the dirt arena. The arena itself is eighty feet wide, one hundred feet long. All moves, weathers, and abilities are legal for the match, since it's an outdoor arena with a large water source and packed dirt. Pokemon must stay in the arena (or the dimensions of the arena in the case of Flying Pokemon, who cannot leave the arena and cannot fly higher than sixty feet). This prevents Pokemon from injuring the crowd watching the tournament. There are no outside interruptions by fans, Pokemon, or other elements not associated with the current battle.

Abilities:

Hello, ladies and gentlemen, to this Gym Leader Match! this match promises to be a blast, as Orcinus and Dan stare down. Orcinus leads with Camerupt, whilst Dan sends out a Ninetales, who causes this battle in true fire-style, the sun blazing down on the arena.

Volug leads with a spew of toxic liquids, striking Pompeii hard and setting a timer on his lifespan, very smart considering how much damage the part ground type will do. Pompeii, however, believes this is aa very suitable time for such damage, releasing an incredibly earthquake that shreds through the ASB arena, shaking even the usually protected crowds. Which is both hilarious and probably going to lead to a slew of moaning.

Declaring a poisoned Camerupt unwanted at the moment, Orcinus shuffles around his team, calling in Simion, a shiny Infernape who also wields an Expert Belt.

Leading the attack, Simion goes in for a quick hit, taking Volug by surprise momentarily, who attempts a roar but sounds less like a fox, and more like a mouse.

Volug retaliates, by using a mystical aura to siphon out a huge amount of Simion's health. However, that also pulled a lot of energy from Volug, so that might not have been as damaging as either party thought.

This match continues as we now know danmantican's full team, whilst orcinus still has some room to move around in. Heather instantly leads with a fast shield, as Simion leaps in for an almost as fast strike, which simply bounces off Heather.

Now attacking, Heather leaps up and pummels Simion with an aerial kick, using him as a platform to jump from and get a second kick in. Simion, expecting the second swipe, graps the kick as is comes back down, sending a shockwave through his arm in a painful manner, before taking Heather down to the ground in a single swing, shaking the earth with the force of the throw.

Orcinus Duo sends out his final Pokemon, Pyroak, who lets out a mighty roar upon being sent out. Actually, it seems that's a roar of pain from the Stealth Rocks that danmantincan had set up. Rough!

Regardless, Pyroak starts off by creating a massive Earthquake that does some major damage to danmantincan's Infernape. It looks like the attack was also boosted by the Life Orb Pyroak is holding, although every battler knows the cost at which that comes... Infernape doesn't seem to be able to even attack back, still cooling down from that combination last round.

Pyroak, invigorated by the sunlight, then finishes off the monkey with an Earth Power before it can react. I guess that Bulldoze from last round payed off.

Both battlers have two Pokemon left, so things should really heat up now!
