Its_A_Random Desert: Nightmare jigglypuff vs. Paradoxus! (2 vs 2 Singles)

Status
Not open for further replies.
Greetings, everyone, and welcome to the peacefully arid sands that we know as the Its_A_Random Desert. Named after famous Ground-type Gym candidate Deck Knight Its_A_Random, these sands are the home to such exotic creatures as regular non-Gligar scorpions, regular non-Drilbur small mammals, and, most importantly, regular non-Cacturne cacti. Approaching from the distance are the two eager battlers who thought it wise to participate in a battle here. One is a small ball of marshmallow fluff who inhabits the dreaded overlap between fear and dreams. The other is a man who went back in time and killed his own grandfather. Nightmare jigglypuff is the former; Paradoxus is the latter.

Its_A_Random has been kind enough to provide a full description of what takes place in this desert. That information is below, courtesy of the Its_A_Random Desert Official Travel Guide.
Basically, everyone has a Thirst Counter. If the Thirst Counter for a pokemon goes to 10, then that pokemon di-i mean faints. There are 5 cacti in the general vicinity. At anytime you can break a cactus using a move (counts as an action) and drink the water from it, which is the same as using a Chill.

There is a 5% chance of rain at the beginning of a round. If it rains, rain is in effect for that round and the Thirst Counter for all pokemon out drops back to zero.

Surf cannot be used since there isn't any water. Dig uses 5 more energy than usual, since the sand keeps coming down when you dig through it. Pokemon that thrive in the sand have their Thirst Counter drop every even round. They also don't spend as much energy using Dig.

The rules for this battle are listed below. Please read them before battling.

Round 1 Begin!

Time for a flavor cop-out: haiku!

The battle is fierce.
Spork and Peppy Le Pew are
Called forth to battle.

Spork's Disable fails.
He hasn't seen Taunt; he knows
Not what to look for.

Peppy mocks Spork with
Taunt; in his rage, Spork cannot
Use his status moves,

Like Confuse Ray, which
Fails due to that mighty Taunt.
Oh, poor Taunted Spork!

Peppy's Crunch inflicts
Massive damage to poor Spork:
A critical hit!

Spork summons thunder,
A bolt of which strikes Peppy,
Hurting him greatly.

Peppy's second Crunch
Does less than before, but it's
Super effective!

Desert sands buffet
Both Pokemon; Thirst Counters
Increase to 1 now.

End Round 1

Interesting haiku(s?). I'm not quite sure that they're allowed to bleed together, but whatever.

Spork, you took some great damage there, there's not that much we can do about that though, so Shadow Ball ~ Thunderbolt ~ Shadow Ball.

Posting to let you guys know that I have all the calcs done and I'm ready to post, but I have to leave now. I'll be back in about three hours, and the round will be up within fifteen minutes of then.

What gender is Peppy Le Pew? The gender would determine my ability, so please say.

EDIT: Mold Breaker is my ability. Let's start with a Protect because i'm scared of Toxic. Then Scary Face, then Dual Chop!

Sorry for the double post (and the lateness), but I won't be able to ref this until Saturday. If I get on tomorrow, my mom will probably rip up my internet cable. If you guys can wait until then, great, it WILL be up Saturday. If you want to find a subref, however, that's fine with me as long as I get word of it.

The reason Stunky has less HP than it did before is because I miscalced Dual Chop in the last round; it actually did 3 more damage. Paradoxus, it's your move, though I have a feeling you won't really get to do anything...
