Bulky Support
########
name: Bulky Support
move 1: Scald
move 2: Will-O-Wisp
move 3: Recover
move 4: Shadow Ball
ability: Cursed Body
item: Leftovers
evs: 252 HP / 144 Def / 100 SpD / 12 Spe
nature: Calm

Moves
========
  • Scald is used to hit Fire-types like Mega Charizard Y, Talonflame, Rotom-H, Mega Camerupt, Heatran, and Arcanine super effectively. Also used to get STAB-boosted damage off on foes
  • Will-O-Wisp is used to damage the Attack of Pokemon like Mega Kangaskhan, Landorus-T, Mega Metagross, and Bisharp
  • Recover is used to get back lost HP to lengthen Jellicent's time on the field as much as possible
  • Shadow Ball is used to hit Aegislash, Mega Metagross, and Cresselia super effectively. Also used to get STAB-boosted damage off on foes

Set Details
========

  • Given spread and Calm nature allows Jellicent to survive a Choice Specs-boosted Dark Pulse from a Hydreigon and makes Adamant EQ from Lando-T a 3HKO
  • Speed EVs invested allows Jelli to jump slower mons that try to outspeed base 60
  • Cursed Body is used to direct moves away from Jellicent and if hit to give the chance of disabling the foe's move that hit it
  • Leftovers is used to recover lost HP and to further gain HP back when Recover is used the turn before

Usage Tips
========
  • Lead along with Politoed for rain to start so that Scald gets boosted
  • Stay in until rain dies
  • if Mega Zard Y comes out while rain is active switch out bc of likelihood of Solar Beam
  • Will-O-Wisp physical attackers to cut attack in half
  • Use scald for damage + chance of burn and super effective damage against common attacking types
  • use Shadow ball on specially defensive pokemon to cut their SpD down to make it easier to KO them with scald
  • recover whenever low on health to stay on field as long as possible

Team Options
========
  • Politoed is a good teammate because its Drizzle can boost the power of Scald and lower the power of Fire moves and to make Mega Zard Y's Solar Beam take two turns
  • Flying-types like Talonflame and Thundurus are good w/ Jellicent bc they can take out Grass-types and provide Tailwind and Thunder Wave support, respectively
  • Conkeldurr is a good teammate because it can use Mach Punch on Dark-types that threaten Jellicent
  • Ground-types are also good teammates because they scare off Electric-types that scare Jellicent
  • Grass-types appreciate Jellicent because it resists Ice-, Fire-, Bug-, and Poison-types which Grass-types are weak to
  • Pokemon that are weak to Fighting are good teammates of Jellicents because Jellicent is immune to Fighting
