Welcome to the gen 6 Joimmons development thread! This is where you can discuss changes on this pet mod. For reference: Gen 5 Thread. It shall be implemented in Joim's Lab after Skillmons is finished. Joimmons is playable in the Ubers, OU, and Doubles formats.

Introduction
Joimmons is the epitome of pet mods. It's one of the most subjective pet mods, if not the most. There are three type of key changes on this pet mod: Flavour, balance, and because I like it. This pet mod includes elements that have been seen in other OMs or pet mods... and it works greatly. The main points of Joimmons:
  • Most balanced metagame in an OU environment.
  • All fully evolved Pokémon must be viable in OU.
  • Less luck elements (but not like Skillmons), but luck pays off better than currently.
  • Mewtwo is the best Pokémon.
  • The metagame must be FUN to play.
  • Typechart should be perfectly balanced.
So, without further ado:

Typechart
The typechart gets updated. Changes and their explanation:
  • Steel resists Water. Steel Pokémon are stainless and water can't do anything against some metals. However, now Steel is weak to Bug, while Bug resists Steel. Bugs are too small and can penetrate it. Electric won't be super effective on Steel, since stainless steel is a very poor conductor of electricity.
  • Ghost resists Psychic. Ghosts haunt Psychics and have super effective moves against them, so they resists Psychic powers too now.
  • Poison is super effective against Water and Poison resists Water, since poisoned water is a big no-no and water can't really easily cleanse poisons like, say, cyanide.
  • Dragon-types are thoroughly changed: Ice is now neutral against Dragons. Most of them already have secondary types weak to Ice-type anyways. Dragons will always have STAB on Fire-type attacks (but never a double STAB), furthermore, Dragon-types are all immune to Fire attacks. Why? Because they are fucking dragons, that's why; they breathe fire, they live in lava mountains. Screw you, other types, Dragon is supposed to be the legendary type. Dragons now resist the Bug-type as puny bugs won't do shit to an almighty Dragon. Dark-types are resisted too as Dragons aren't scared of them. Normal- and Poison- types resisted as well since they can't dream of damaging a powerful Dragon. However, Fighting-types hit now Dragons super effectively as they are heroes that can slay even the most dangerous beasts and will resists Dragons. Additionally, now Normal- and Ice-types resist Dragon hits, for they can conquer with their strong spirit even these mighty creatures. Fairy-type changes still apply.
  • Water now hits Ice super effectively and otherwise, as cold water melts ice and super cold ice freezes cold water.
  • Poison is now immune to Poison. Self explanatory.
  • Bug hits now Psychic-types with neutral damage. What can a puny bug do to Psychic types? (I know Psychic are weak to common fears, but Psychics need to be buffed to have more presence on OU).
  • Psychic-types resist Normal damage now. Too stupid for them.
  • Psychic-types are now weak to Fairy-type, though.
Weather and pseudo-weather
Added a new weather, Toxic Rain, and a new ability that sets it for 5 turns, Contamination, and an item that will make its duration 8 turns, Toxic Rock. Toxic Rain increases the accuracy of Poison-type moves to 100%, and hits non-Poison-, non-Bug-, and non-Steel-types by 1/16 every turn. It also lowers Defense and Special Defense to these without the aforementioned types or the Poison Heal or Toxic Body(new) abilities.

Hail is now granting a 50% damage increase to all Ice-type damaging moves.

The new ability Trickster, makes the user induce automatic Trick Room upon switch in by 5 turns . By now only Reuniclus posses this ability instead of Overcoat. It's a pseudo-weather, which means that it's available to use besides a weather.
Gravity now last 8 turns.

Hazards
Stealth Rock now deals fixed 12.5% damage.

New hazard added: Black Ice has Ice-type damage for those who switch-in. It deals 12.5% damage upon switch in but 25% damage to Dragon-types.

As for Spikes, they can be stacked now up to five times, dealing 1/12, 1/8, 1/6, 1/4, and up to 1/3 damage to non immune types. That means you will need an additional layer to deal the same damage but at the same time you can get more damage. Toxic Spikes are still removed by Poison-types.

Rapid Spin and Sticky Web get a much wider distribution. Rapid Spin now ignores immunities as well.

Black Ice distribution:
Abomasnow, Cryogonal, Froslass, Forretress.

Move changes and distribution
  • Scald has now a 100% burn rate, but its Base Power is 40 now.
  • Recharge moves now have 250 Base Power.
  • Will-O-Wisp, Toxic, and Leech Seed have now 100% accuracy.
  • Escavalier gets Hone Claws.
  • Shuckle gets Leech Seed.
  • Ferrothorn gets Synthesis and Rapid Spin.
  • Jellicent gets Rapid Spin.
  • Ludicolo gets Weather Ball.
  • Venusaur gets Weather Ball.
  • Psystrike now has a 30% chance to lower Special Attack and Special Defense.
  • Ampharos gets Tail Glow.
  • Farfetch'd gets Hurricane.
  • Rotom-S gets Hurricane.
  • Poliwrath now gets Close Combat and Focus Punch.
  • New move: Rejuvenation. Lasts 5 turns. Can be buffed to 8 turns by items and Healer ability. Every Pokémon on your side gets healed 6.25% at the end of every turn. It may critically hit, granting 12.5% healing every turn, and each turn can crit the residual for 12.5% healing on that Pokémon on that turn.
Pokémon changes
Lower tier Pokémon get buffed: BL gets +2, UU gets +5, BL2 gets +7, RU gets +10, BL3 gets +12, NU and NFE get +15, BL4 gets +20, PU and LC get +25 to all their stats. This changes won't apply to Pokémon buffed by this mod.
  • Mewtwo, new king of Ubers Anything Goes, gets a deserved buff to be the very best like no one ever was:
    • Its Special Defense is now 154.
    • Its abilities are now Adaptability, Storm Drain, and Download.
    • Holding Griseous Orb will grant it a Base Power increase of 50% on all its attacks without recoil or move lock.
    • Mega Mewtwo Y gets now the ability MEWTWO. It grants the aforementioned buffs to Mewtwo, but additionally increases its speed and its defenses by +1. Always.
  • All hidden abilities are available.
  • Zapdos gets Hurricane.
  • Charizard gets abilities: Levitate, Moxie, Solar Power. Furthermore it is now Fire/Dragon type on its base form.
  • Heatran gets Levitate as DW ability, also eventless Eruption.
  • Arcanine gets Drought.
  • Jellicent gets now Drizzle and Hydration as its possible abilities.
  • Spiritomb gets the following abilities now: Tinted Lens, Scrappy, and Shadow Tag. Furthermore, using Stick doubles its Speed, and increases its Defense and Special Defense by 50%. This boost does not work if Spiritomb is using Shadow Tag.
  • Gyarados gets Water/Dragon typing and gets Levitate.
  • Dragonite gets Spacial Rend and is boosted by Soul Dew (in Ubers).
  • Light Ball now doubles Pikachu's defenses and speed too, grants Pichu a 2.5 boost on offenses and defenses, and a 1.5 boost to Raichu's offenses.
  • Ampharos has a new stat distribution: 80 HP, 50 Atk, 75 Def, 115 SpA, 90 SpD and 110 Spe. It gets no boost to these stats by tier shifting.
  • Blastoise has now the abilities Drizzle, Hydration, and Rain Dish.
  • Ferrothorn has now the abilities Iron Barbs, Levitate, and Heat Proof.
  • Lapras gets Water Absorb, Hydration, and Snow Warning.
  • Delibird gets Vital Spirit, Insomnia, and Snow Warning.
  • Vanilluxe gets Ice Body, Snow Warning, and Snow Cloak.
  • Rotom-S now gets Static and Lightningrod.
  • Slaking gets now Mold Breaker and Thick Fat.
  • Gengar gets Nasty Plot.
  • Snorlax gets Slack Off.
Critical Hit changes
I think this is the crown jewel of gen 6 Joimmons. Everything can critically hit now.
  • Healing moves get a x1.5 healing boost. Critical hit Softboiled will heal 75% of the HP.
  • Critical Hit statuses ignore immunities.
  • Residual Damage can critically hit. Its damage is then doubled.
  • Critical Hit burning will make all its residual damage to be doubled. Same for poison.
  • Critical Hit toxic will multiply x4 each stage instead of x2.
  • Critical Hit paralyse makes you unable to move 50% of the times and divides your speed by 8 instead of 4.
  • Critical Hit freeze cannot be thawed.
  • Critical Hit partial trapping moves will deal double the damage for their duration.
Items
Item changes:
  • lel
New items added:
  • Black Arrow: Your attacking moves deal 50% more damage to Dragon-types, but you are hit 50% more by Dark-types.
  • Clerical Mace: You cannot be Taunted and your move choice cannot be limited by the likes of Disable or Torment, but you cannot use direct attacking moves.
Tiering
Most Ubers are unbanned. More to follow.

Clauses
Ubers have no clauses whatsoever but Species Clause. OU by now has Evasion Clause, OHKO Moves Clause, Species Clause, also Soul Dew and Ubers banned.

Notes on the metagame
  • Despite Ferrothorn's new status as great spinner, it can be now OHKOd by Bug Bite / Bug Buzz / Signal Beam.
  • Despite Dragons looking OP, Sawk murders most of them.
  • Chansey and Blissey are now excellent walls against special Dragons and the first can even take a couple of Outrages.
  • Ice and Poison types are much better, usable in OU now.
  • Ampharos is OU usable now without its Mega.
  • Dragons have changed from neutral hitters to defensive tanks. If they look OP to you, wait to see your dragon OHKOd by a non-STAB Close Combat or Focus Blast.
Final notes
To be able to use a new ability or move in Pokemon Showdown!, it's possible that you must write it in the Import/Export function, as trying to use the GUI will default to existing abilities / moves, but if you write them down they will work.

I know this isn't centered around Joimmons Ubers, but could we give Reshiram a buff since it is completely unviable in the actual Ubers metagame. Resisting Dark- and Normal-type attacks is good for it (helps it compete with Ho-Oh), but every dragon getting STAB on Fire-type attacks isn't. A buff to Turboblaze, giving it a Fairy / Dark Aura effect ("...is emitting a blazing aura..." lol), would be neat and give it a slight niche over other Dragons. Turboblaze Blue Flare is now ridiculous, but Ho-Oh, Reshiram's Speed, and there being no way for Reshiram to set up outside of Flame Charge make it OK imo.

Just a question: Dragons are now neutral to Ice, but the Black Ice hazard deals double damage vs. dragons? How does that make any sense? Wouldn't a Fairy-based hazard make more sense if you want to have a hazard hit Dragons SE?

First, balance. Then, most Dragons have a secondary typing weak to Ice. Besides Kyurem they hate icy caves with black ice that gets in between their paws.

Mega Mew Psychic Type 100/120/120/120/120/120 stats Protean lel

Rotom-N is still largely outclassed by his forms. I suggest we give him Dazzling Gleam, and maybe a better ability like IDK Speed Boost Prankster.

Also Kyurem-N deserves to resist his own type's Black Ice. Maybe make Ice resist it, and have it be neutral on everything else but Dragon. And also give Kyurem Refrigerate so it becomes a monster.

Where Mewtwo says fuck you to greninja, who's now in HIS domain!

Mewtwo should have 200 special and physical attack.
