    Abilities:
Flash Fire: (Innate) This Pokemon thrives in high temperatures, and takes the energy of any opposing fire attack, nullifies the damage, and uses the additional power to boost its own fire attack’s Base Attack Power by two (2). Self-targeted attacks do not give the boost.
Flame Body: (Innate) This Pokemon’s external temperature is kept at such a high level that any contact attack used on this Pokemon has a 30% chance of burning the opponent.
Shadow Tag (DW): (Innate) Upon entry into battle, this Pokemon’s Shadow expands across the arena and dissipates, forcing opposing Pokemon to stay within 10 meters of this Pokemon. The Shadow entirely negates the ability to switch for every Pokemon except those who also have Shadow Tag.
Levitate: (Command) The Pokemon hovers above the ground, avoiding all Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude for three (3) actions. Earth Power's effectiveness is reduced by 3 BAP. Levitate: (Trait) This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude. Earth Power will have three (3) less Base Attack Power. Dig and Dive can strike a Levitating Pokemon if their user is over Size Class 4, has Levitate, is 3.5m or larger, or is a Flying-type. Otherwise Dig and Dive will miss. Ground moves can still hit. Levitate Pokemon will retain the Levitate trait when they use Skill Swap on an enemy, and will steal the opponent's ability (the user can specify if they want a foe or ally to gain Levitate from a Skill Swap.) If a Pokemon with Levitate uses Role Play, they will copy the opponent's abilities and retain Levitate.

Two aspiring gym leaders battle here today. Kaxtar has brought four fighting-type pokemon while danmantincan is using four fire-type pokemon. At first it looks like Kaxtar's team has the edge as they are all fully evolved, but when danmantincan sends out Meg the Pignite and Sanaki the Larvesta, he equips the Pignite with an Eviolite to boost her bulk, while giving a Shed Shell to Sanaki, who evolves into a Volcarona! These pokemon should be a match for Kaxtar's Chinook the Tomohawk and Heracross the Heracross.

And immediately Sanaki and Meg combine their Flamethrower attacks to scorch Heracross! He doesn't get burned but he does get hit rather badly. But he's not worried at all and he flies up and knocks Sanaki back with an Aerial Ace! Chinook throws some Stealth Rocks over at Sanaki and Meg. They're not doing anything now but I'm sure their time to shine will come soon.

Suddenly, Sanaki grabs the letter C from the Unown soup below and holds on to it, as though waiting for something. Chinook strikes Meg with an Air Slash but Meg shrugs this off and Yawns at the Tomohawk, making her feel drowsy. Heracross continues to attack Sanaki, this time using a Stone Edge, and suddenly the Volcarona uses Unown C to Counter that attack, doing a lot of damage to Heracross. I don't think he can last much longer. The Unown certainly couldn't last and, after expending its energy, has fled the arena.

Chinook and Meg then grab some Unown of their own. Chinook goes for the letter A while Meg takes the letter F. But before either of them can strike, Chinook is hurled around telepathically by Sanaki. These pseudo-Psychic powers are quickly shrugged off as the Tomohawk uses Unown A to Aeroblast the Pignite. She strikes a vulnerable area and knocks Meg down. Heracross suddenly Digs underground and makes his way towards Meg. But then Meg uses Unown F to Fly into the air! We now have a flying Pignite! You saw it here first, ladies and gentlemen. Heracross pops up, expecting to strike his opponent, but instead he is hit from above by Meg. This knocks him down and he doesn't get back up. Astonishing!

Yeah, Kaxtar, you're not allowed to give one item to more than one pokemon in a battle unless you have more than one of that item (and I checked to see if you had more than one exp share - you don't). Please choose a different item for Gallade.

Replacing Heracross is a pokemon with a nickname: Demi Gravidon the Gallade. Sanaki and Demi Gravidon both reach for some Unown. Sanaki takes the letter S while Demi Gravidon picks the letter B. And suddenly Sanaki uses Unown S to charge Shadow Force by disappearing into the shadows! Demi Gravidon, meanwhile, uses Unown B to Bounce up high, avoiding a Will-O-Wisp from Meg. Chinook then performs a Rain Dance to summon a torrential downpour over the arena, but suddenly falls asleep! Meanwhile, Sanaki emerges from the shadows only to find that her Shadow Force has hit nothing! Suddenly, she is struck from above by the Gallade's Bounce attack.

Things go downhill for Team danmantincan. Sanaki and Meg strike Demi Gravidon with Flamethrower attacks but the rain puts out some of the fire and weakens the attacks. Demi Gravidon creates a massive Rock Slide over his opponents and one of the rocks strikes the Volcarona in a very sensitive area, causing her more pain than normal! She can barely hold on. As if that wasn't bad enough, Chinook appears to be slowly waking up.

Sanaki pulls back a little though as a Gust of wind she summons blows Demi Gravidon away. The winds are striking vulnerable parts of the Gallade, but he soon retaliates with an Earthquake. Sanaki suddenly takes to the air as does Chinook, leaving Meg to take the hit. She holds on, but then gets hit by Chinook's Air Slash, which finishes her off.

As soon as Lethe the Lampent is sent out, the rocks on Team danmantincan's side of the arena spring into action and knock her about. Sanaki realises that her opponents will try to knock her out now, so she prepares to Endure their attacks. Demi Gravidon catches her by surprise by Feinting before striking, but she hangs in there. Chinook calls upon the Earth Power to deal more damage to Lethe, who shoots a Will-O-Wisp straight at Demi Gravidon, giving him a nasty burn.

The burn on Demi Gravidon makes his Shadow Sneak less effective than normal, but Sanaki was prepared for it anyway. She then uses Unown H to Hex the Gallade while Lethe uses a Hex of her own. The combined power of the two hexes has Demi Gravidon writing in pain until Chinook calls upon the Earth Power for a second time in the round. Those attacks are so powerful that I doubt Lethe could take another one.

Demi Gravidon continues trying to take down the Volcarona, but his Shadow Sneak is, once again, endured successfully. Sanaki then breathes fire on him with Flamethrower once more, hoping to intensify the burn, but the pouring rain puts some of the flames out. Just as Lethe prepares to finish off the Gallade, she is struck by a third Earth Power from the Tomohawk and this one extinguishes her flame. She must be returned to her pokeball immediately.

And danmantincan sends in his last pokemon: Heather the Monferno. But it quickly evolves into Heather the Infernape! Perhaps this might help turn things around. Oh wait, Demi Gravidon just knocked out Sanaki with one last Shadow Sneak. Heather tumbles into Chinook and strikes with her Acrobatics while the pouring rain helps Chinook's Hurricane hit the Infernape.

Demi Gravidon then realises that there's a way he can hang on for a little longer and he uses Unown R to Refresh himself, getting rid of his burn! Heather and Chinook continue to trade blows with a ThunderPunch and Air Slash respectively. But once the Gallade joins in with a Psycho Cut to Heather's face, the Infernape realises that she is doomed. With one last Acrobatic attack, she tries to knock Chinook out, but fails. Chinook, on the other hand, finishes her off with another Hurricane. Kaxtar has won, and he didn't even need to use all of his pokemon!
