Heaven or Hell...

~A horrific fusion of freezing cold and blistering sand blanket the field, turning the barren landscape into a No Man's Land. This aberration of nature freezes the waters and chokes the air, ruthlessly obliterating any sentient life. The ground is perpetually unstable; whatever earth was there has been reduced to diamond sharp particles of hail and dust that mix into the air. Kaxtar and Mewtwo appear ready for combat, with Kaxtar wearing a protective suit and Mewtwo using his psionic powers to repel the weather coming its way. The Smogon ASB Emergency Squad is on standby should this 'simple' training battle take a turn for the nasty...~

Arena: Hail and Sand
Hail and Sand
This arena has patches of both soft sand and solid ice. To make matters worse, a SandHail Storm is raging, damaging non-Steel, Ice, Rock and Ground types 5 HP per action, and this weather can not be altered. However, this strange weather give Ice and Ground moves +2 BP, and activates Sand veil, Ice Body, 100% Acc Blizzard, Rock type SpD boost, and all other Hail/Sandstorm effects. The only water is frozen solid, and no vegetation can survive the harsh elemental conditions.

Scyther Jade (F)
Nature: Adamant (ATK up 1; SpA down 1)

Jade has had a rough past. When she hatched, her broodmates rejected her because she was alternately colored. Or shiny. Or red in places. One of those. Anyhow, her lifelong homelessness has forced her to hunt, carve, and keep watch for herself. If anyone says this brutal monster is untrained, they don’t know her one bit.

Type: Bug/Flying
Bug: Bug STAB; More mobility in dense brush or forest conditions. Gain an extra guaranteed attack on multi-hit moves.

(e.g. Aerial Ace goes from 6 to 9, Mach Punch goes from 4 to 6, etc.) The Energy Cost for a one-hit or two-hit attack is increased by one (1). Each hit in a multi-hit move is boosted by one (1) Base Attack Power, and the Energy Cost for multi-hit attacks is increased by two (2).

Notes:
-I updated the Flying type description for Gligar as well as Swampert's speed penalty from its nature (it's 10% extra accuracy on incoming attacks).

Kaxtar sends out first.
mewtwo15026 sends out after and attacks first.
Kaxtar attacks after.

Well, we both know who's coming out for each side, so let's cut to the chase.

VLADDY AND JADE: Let's be polite here. :)
Shake Hands with Regice ~ Shake Hands with Gligar (Jade, be really careful. XD)
--- --- --- ---
VLADDY: Hey, look at that! It's a Pokemon that's slower than you are!

Start by sending an Ice Beam in Gligar's direction, then follow it up with a Rock Slide. Cap off the round with another Ice Beam! Make sure, however, that you make as much noise as you possibly can Round 1; we don't want Jade to get Taunted.

Noisily Ice Beam Gligar ~ Rock Slide both ~ Ice Beam Gligar
Be as obnoxiously noisy as you possibly can.
IF (you won't take direct damage on Action 2) THEN (Focus Punch Regice Action 2)
--- --- --- ---
JADE: Just do what you can to help Vladdy!

Start by creating 4 clones of yourself; keep your back turned to Gligar so it doesn't Taunt you. Follow up by slugging that Regice, then attack it with your wings!

Double Team (4 clones) ~ Brick Break Regice ~ Wing Attack Regice
Ignore Gligar as best you can; hang out around Vladdy.
IF (you get hit with a Rock Slide after Action 1) THEN (change remaining actions to Counter ~ Brick Break Regice)

Regice: Icy Wind Scyther, Swampert if able (Until Scyther has no DT clones remaining)~Ice Beam~Ice Beam
Gligar: Dig Swampert~Acrobatics Scyther~Acrobatics Scyther

LET'S ROCK!

Jade forges several illusionary copies of herself, each of them spreading themselves across the field. Unfortunately, the violent weather shreds through them effortlessly including the real Scyther. Vladdy hopes to make up for his partner's shortfall by firing a crystalline beam at Gligar. However, the flying scorpion dodges the attack with ease by burrowing deep into the glassy sand. Now, the monolithic Regice releases its blistering cold breath, chilling both Jade and Vladdy for heavy damage. Furthermore, their own muscles rebel even further against the hellish weather. In addition, Gligar swoops from underneath the Swampert catching him off guard.

With his prey slowed by Regice's might, Gligar launches himself into Jade cutting into her carapace for massive damage. She struggles to fight back with a series of focused strikes upon Regice. Her efforts are admirable, but do far less than she hoped against its glassy exterior. The giant glacier momentarily pauses on which target to hit, but ultimately sets his sights on Vladdy piercing him with its concentrated Ice Beam. Shaking off the attack, Vladdy uses his incredible strength to launch several boulders upon his foes, yet they do little to slow down his adversaries.

Once again, Gligar launches himself one more time upon Jade leaving behind a harsh gash on her chest. Severely weakened from both the powerful attacks and weather, Jade nonetheless jets through the stormy skies and slashes Regice with her razor-sharp wings. Undaunted, Regice hesitates again to pick a target, settling once more to pierce Vladdy with chilling precision. Vladdy answers back with an Ice Beam of his own, hitting Gligar this time around for significant damage. Having taking a horrific beating this round, Jade unleashes her full power, powering up her Bug attacks to her fullest potential. Yet, will it be enough to keep her alive?

Since the Double Team "clones" are merely illusions that have no real stamina, they get dispelled easily through any kind of incoming force. Since the corrosive weather strikes from all over the place, the clones couldn't sustain themselves and therefore vanished.

LET'S ROCK!

Hurting badly, Jade darts to take cover cover behind her teammate. Unfortunately, the now faster Gligar closes the gap easily finishing her off with the third Acrobatics in a row. With one target down, Regice can now fully concentrate its chilling breath on Vladdy lowering his speed even further. Now all alone, Vladdy bears down and harnesses several glacial pillars upon Gligar, battering it for great damage.

Shaking it off, Gligar swoops deep into the glassy sand again. Vladdy decides to follow suit, using his mighty hands to tunnel into the ground. Regice takes aim and pierces the Swampert for critical damage, yet Vladdy doesn't show his pain one bit and succeeds in submerging itself underground. Gligar pops up from the sand where Vladdy was just moments before, but he only strikes air. Vladdy however launches himself right through Regice dealing good damage.

Now with Vladdy weakened sufficiently, Gligar slashes Vladdy at deadly speeds while Regice follows up with its Ice Beam. Vladdy can no longer take any more punishment and collapses along with Jade. The winners are Kaxtar and his Pokemon!

Current ruling is that weather doesn't dispel Double Team clones, as far as I know.

Really? Weird. That's going to change things a whole lot. Should I re-ref this whole match from the beginning guys? I want to know before I conclude.
