Keep eyes peeled for strange things.

Japanese company has released a save editor working with x/y for japanese cartridges only.
Have to pay them ~$70 for the dongle
This opens up a rather gigantic can of worms :(
I *think* Singles/Doubles battlespot'll be fine because hack checks
Free passerby battles are probably going to go to....an unhappy place.

Banned deucer.
I saw a youtube video when a guy a had Zard-Y mega evolve into a Zard-X, and all his pokemon were over Level 100. (like level 231 arcesus, etc)

Its kinda messed up. They can get any mons, as right now with that device.

Fortunately, Battle Spot actually makes these kinds of checks so if you're playing ranked or even unranked there should not be a problem. Just keep away from regular Wi-Fi battles and you'll be fine. iirc you can't trade the egregious stuff over Wi-Fi either.

Would you mind sharing a link?

Actually, yeah. If anyone comes across one of these things in a passerby/unranked match, could you save the Battle Code or take some video or something? Sara didn't give any concrete proof in the OP, although many of the code distributing links look fairly convincing.

Hey guys, I understand you're concerned and looking for information but please keep the video sharing and conversations to private channels and off this thread. It's getting a little off-topic since at the moment these affect only private Wi-Fi battles, and not Battle Spot. Most of the known information are in the threads the OP linked. In short, looking for information is fine, but it's getting a bit beyond that and into the curiosity/entertainment aspect. We don't want to give any semblance of endorsing cheating.

Ethan, I can only tell you that there are reputable people within the research community who have gotten their hands on the device and it does indeed work. Be wary of "private" Wi-Fi battles, but Battle Spot appears to block any egregious hacks.

Question: is this a problem I have to worry about on Battle Spot Free Battle? Are the battle spot hack checks applied there?

Isn't it illegal for some company to sell a save hacker for another company's game?

I'm so glad battle spot checks for hacks....
