Bronzong @ Figy Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Recycle
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic / Earthquake / Trick room
- Gyro Ball

Specially defensive bronzong walls all non shadow ball variants of magearna and is capable of dealing with non ghostium-z magearna. Gyro ball takes advantage of magearna's increasing speed due to shift gear, toxic and stealth rocks are utility moves so that this pokemon can pull its weight in games without magearna, and recycle vastly increases bronzong's longevity.
Trick room is slashed as a potential option if bronzong is the chosen stealth rock user for a trick room team. Again, the recycle set allows it to consistently set up trick room and it's typing, ability, and bulk allow it to survive longer and better support the team.

Calcs:

0 Atk Bronzong Gyro Ball (99 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Magearna: 85-102 (28.2 - 33.8%) -- 0.5% chance to 3HKO
After a shift gear:
0 Atk Bronzong Gyro Ball (150 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Magearna: 130-154 (43.1 - 51.1%) -- 4.7% chance to 2HKO
0 Atk Bronzong Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Magearna: 116-138 (38.5 - 45.8%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

252 SpA Magearna Corkscrew Crash (160 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Bronzong: 84-100 (24.8 - 29.5%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Magearna All-Out Pummeling (160 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Bronzong: 113-134 (33.4 - 39.6%) -- 20.1% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Magearna Twinkle Tackle (195 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Bronzong: 103-122 (30.4 - 36%) -- guaranteed 4HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Magearna Shadow Ball vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Bronzong: 114-136 (33.7 - 40.2%) -- 33.9% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Magearna Never-Ending Nightmare (160 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Bronzong: 226-268 (66.8 - 79.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Shadow ball into never-ending nightmare will KO this bronzong without activating it's berry. Any other combination of attacks bronzong will shrug off, eat it's berry, and deal heavy damage in return. Aura sphere, flash cannon, fleur cannon, and thunderbolt all do less than 25%, so bronzong is guaranteed to get its berry off (assuming the magearna is not double dance).

If the chosen set is the trick room setter bronzong will live the z move, set up trick room, and either sacrifice itself to bring in another trick room abuser or chip away with gyro ball.

Excadrill @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rock Slide
- Rapid Spin

Excadrill can check the double dance Magearna set pretty well as it doesnt take much from unboosted Ice Beam and is able to kill it back with Earthquake.

252 SpA Magearna Ice Beam vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Excadrill: 140-165 (38.6 - 45.5%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+1 252 SpA Magearna Ice Beam vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Excadrill: 209-247 (57.7 - 68.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 Atk Mold Breaker Excadrill Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Magearna: 300-354 (99.6 - 117.6%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO

You need to be wary about Z-Focus Blast sets though. since they can easily OHKO Excadrill.

252 SpA Magearna Focus Blast vs. 4 HP / 0 SpD Excadrill: 372-438 (102.7 - 120.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO -> Non Z move Focus Blast knocks it out without any boosts

Rotom-Heat @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Overheat
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power Ice

Standard BoltBeam SG Magearna really struggles to break through Rotom-Heat through virtue of typing, who can deal massive damage back with +1 Overheat, even if it's got a Calm Mind or 2 up. Has to be wary of All Out Pummeling
252 SpA Choice Specs Rotom-Heat Overheat vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Magearna: 486-572 (161.4 - 190%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Rotom-Heat Overheat vs. +1 0 HP / 4 SpD Magearna: 324-384 (107.6 - 127.5%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Choice Specs Rotom-Heat Overheat vs. +2 0 HP / 4 SpD Magearna: 242-288 (80.3 - 95.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 SpA Magearna All-Out Pummeling (190 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Rotom-Heat: 195-230 (80.9 - 95.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Alolan Marowak and SpD Rachi win.

Round 19: Turning The Tables
Find a Pokemon which can help a very powerful teammate patch up a middling or low speed stat.

Things to consider: TR, TWind, Webs. I be judging on the quality of the post itself in particular this time around to justify not letting the first Webs sub auto-win.

Cresselia @ Mental Herb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Ice Beam
- Trick Room
- Moonlight
- Lunar Dance

For majority of TR teams, Cresselia is a necessary staple to all teams because of its access to Lunar Dance and TR. Cresselia literally turns the tables in a match by allowing a guranteed TR (because of Mental Herb which avoids stuff like taunt, torment, attract, disable, etc; 252 SpA Choice Specs Greninja-Ash Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Cresselia: 354-416 (79.7 - 93.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO lives lol) and healing any mon to sweep the opponent's team because you dented the opponent's team with ur nukes earlier with ur premiere TR mon. Many TR abusers such as Marowak-Alolan, Mega Heracross, Magearna, Crawdaunt, Mega Mawile, etc usually struggle with Lando-T after the TR ends, but Cresselia can come in freely on Lando-T majority of the time (outside of the play of the opponent predicting a switch and sding and then using SSS/Fly Z which it ends up being a 81.3% chance to OHKO Cress from full). Moonlight helps Cresselia be kept around for a later use if you can't get an opportunity to sweep ur opponent. Lunar Dance enables u to also restore ur PP to full if u ran out of something like Close Combat and Lunar Dance has priority over hazards.

OK so this week was really dead so I'm gonna make a post and then I'll decide what happens from here.

Latios @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Draco Meteor
- Psyshock
- Defog
- Tailwind

Tailwind Latios is an interesting set which takes advantage of Tornadus's very high Speed stat to use Tailwind just before it gets taken out in order for a moderately slow wallbreaker to completely tear apart offensive teams. Pokemon like Tapu Lele, Mega Charizard Y, Kyurem-B, Lando-T, Mega Pinsir etc. all benefit massively from this due to their sky high firepower making them a complete nightmare to deal with under Trick Room, rendering Scarf users like Keldeo unable to revenge kill them (without needing to set up RP in the case of Lando) for a few turns.
