guh, i think itemless roost archen is the way to go here, checks vullaby and archen, rocks, and checks fighters / fires (which chou can be overloaded taking care of a ponyta + fletch for example) also helps versus sun.

nüguns (Archen) (M)
Ability: Defeatist
Level: 5
EVs: 180 Atk / 76 Def / 196 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Acrobatics
- Stone Edge
- Roost

So we should try to grab some hazards here, if possible, but something to take into account is how well the team fares vs Vullaby, who Foongus invites in. None of the team switches in on it, Chinchou really dislikes taking a Knock Off since it's a 3HKO and Chinchou's only recovery is Berry Juice. Offensive Vullaby also outspeeds everything except Scraggy and nails almost everyone with either Knock Off or Brave Bird.

I also want to suggest a gimmicky pawn set with sr + rock tomb but that's kinda bad.

Pawniard adds prio to blanket check most sweepers, and don't compound too many weaknesses. Also has sr.

Alternatively sr SD dril can function as a cute lure to weaken Vullaby and lead against dwebble.

There are probably about 5 more valid options but these are what I see rn

Pawniard @ Eviolite
Level: 5
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 156 Atk / 36 Def / 116 SpD / 196 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Knock Off
- Iron Head
- Sucker Punch
- Stealth Rock

Takes on Vullaby well enough when combined with Chinchou, more priority is nice, kinda fights of Floon, Sucker Punch helps vs sun, and SR are SR, which it can get up with relative ease.

aaaaaand there's the snipe

What a beautiful face, I have found in this place
So looking at the team, 3/5 mons are weak to fletchling and the two flying checks can either be trapped or easily whittled down. Also, there is a noticeable lack of hazards on the team which would help a Scraggy or Timburr sweep immensely, as well as whittling down the opponent. This leads me to suggest Omanyte as the final mon on the team.

Omanyte @ Eviolite
Level: 5
Ability: Weak Armor
EVs: 76 HP / 196 SpA / 236 Spe
Timid Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Scald
- Knock Off
- Toxic Spikes

This set lets you switch into most flying types and get up as many hazards as possible. As mentioned before it brings hazards to a team that greatly appreciates it. Omanyte is considered by many to be the best hazards setter right now, and it helps round out this team a lot in my opinion. It even deals with Vullaby pretty well so thats a great plus.

Tirtouga @ Eviolite
Ability: Solid Rock
Level: 5
EVs: 84 HP / 52 Atk / 92 Def / 236 SpD / 20 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Aqua Jet
- Knock Off
- Stone Edge

Gives an additional flying which can actually beat Diglett 1v1 in most cases with Aqua Jet. Aqua Jet also can help to deal with Drilbur. Gives the team access to hazards with stealth rocks. Beats all flying types barring Drifloon.

Why is this team so god damn slow

196+ Atk Honedge Shadow Sneak vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Gastly: 18-24 (94.7 - 126.3%) -- 81.3% chance to OHKO

Also its not like gastly is really switching into much on this team. Also why we need hazards.

Scraggy sweep becomes a hell of a lot easier with hazard pressure, rocks weaken stuff like birds and floon, rips apart larvesta who this team despises along with pressuring Ponyta to let Chou have an easier time, makes sash diglett shenanigans harder, generates freer switchins for Scraggy when the opponent tries to remove hazards.

Hazards are overall a Very Good Thing, although granted not the highest priority ever.
