Project LC Next Best Thing - [The Foo' Nominating]

#51
Looks like fran17 is our winner! Congratulations!

Sorry for the poor quality guys, I'm on mobile. I'm going to try to do a major update in about a week or so.

As Merritt suggested, our next Pokemon will be Slowpoke! Voting will (hopefully) start the 27th!

Slowpoke @ Eviolite
Ability: Regenerator
Level: 5
EVs: 196 HP / 236 Def / 36 SpA / 36 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Disable
- Scald
- Psychic
- Slack Off

Disable Slowpoke, while it's not really speedy to pull off, it's bulk can make for it and anulate any attack he seems important to block, making it really threatening against Fighting-types such as Croagunk and Timburr, as they lose one of their STAB attacks and Knock Off, respectively, and can't efficiently get rid of it, while Poke forces them to switch out for either restoring its health, attacking or switching out to a teammate that can take advantage of a move that has been disabled.

@ Psychium Z
Ability: Regenerator
Level: 5
EVs: 36 HP / 76 Def / 196 SpA / 116 SpD / 76 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Future Sight
- Scald
- Fire Blast
- Slack Off

still something for tricking's slam run... a more offensive oriented spread to prepare for a grass/fight type sweep (snivy+a boosting fight type works best), you just do future sight and then you try to bait the poison type; works better with the fight type since you're probably going to send it in front of the dark mon the oppo sent to beat poke, and it does a good chunk to spritzee/snubb as well so not a big problem. z-future sight does a lot to poke's checks such as chou or staryu

#54
Slowpoke @ Electrium Z
Ability: Regenerator
Level: 5
EVs: 196 HP / 116 Def / 196 SpA
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Flamethrower
- Psychic
- Zap Cannon

This new sets now legal. 4 attacks so that it hits literally everything for neutral damage and Slack Off's less useful with no eviolite bulk.

List of common slowpoke switchins:

Vullaby - dropped
Slowpoke - click x
Staryu - dropped
Agrimer- Havoc + 2 scalds likely beats it while the knock off fails to 2hko.
Pawniard- Havoc + Flamethrower 2hko's
Kabuto - dropped
Frillish - dropped with psychic first into havoc
Wingull - literally fried

Mienfoo @ Poisonium Z
Ability: Regenerator
Level: 5
EVs: 236 Atk / 36 Def / 236 Spe
Adamant Nature
- High Jump Kick
- U-turn
- Knock Off
- Poison Jab

I use this set along Scraggy to lure out Fairy-types and KO them. BJ Snubbull just dies (if you get the intimidate drop you'll need some chip damage), Spritz you need to knock off, get rocks + spikes, or have some chip damage beforehand. Since Fairy-types tend to switch directly into HJK, it's not that hard to get the chip. Slap a bird check with it and you can then sweep with DD Scraggy relatively easily.

Ait so just assuming this is dead as fuck right now, but will make this early SM nomination just because it deserves a mention:

Zbounce (Mienfoo) @ Flyinium Z
Ability: Regenerator
Level: 5
EVs: 236 Atk / 36 Def / 236 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Bounce
- High Jump Kick
- Knock Off
- U-turn

Zbounce kills shit like Croagunk/Foongus/PumpkabooXL after a Knock, which are all common switch-ins to Foo (especially once they've seen the HJK). This set is not particularly common, but has seen usage on different occations (Much like the set above, although Poisonium Z has only been used in an LC tour once to my knowledge).

Felines should we start voting process soon? Only 2 sets here but giving ppl like a day then starting so we can finish at least this one tyvm <3
