<p>Lileep is a wonderful addition to many teams in the Little Cup metagame. As the tier is dominated by the likes of Chinchou and Staryu, a hard counter to the aforementioned Water-types is incredibly useful. Also, Lileep has excellent defensive stats which can be used to check threats such as Murkrow, Ponyta, and Larvesta, all omnipresent threats in the Little Cup metagame. Finally, Lileep is one of the best walls a sand team can have as its already good Special Defense stat is boosted by 50 percent under sandstorm. Unfortunately, Lileep's Rock typing is a curse as well as a gift. Little Cup is plagued with offensive Fighting-types such as Mienfoo and Scraggy, who can both take advantage of Lileep's mediocre offensive traits. Additionally, Lileep faces tough competition from Ferroseed, who can set up Spikes and Stealth Rock. Don't let these faults deter you from using Lileep, however; if you need its services, Lileep will deliver very effectively.</p>

The EVs are used to make Lileep a good mixed wall, capable of checking special attackers such as Chinchou and physical attackers such as Murkrow. If you don't want Lileep to be a mixed wall, an EV spread of 232 HP / 32 SpA / 220 SpD / 24 Spe with a Calm nature can be utilized to make Lileep an excellent special wall.</p>

Since Fighting-types can easily switch in and set up on Lileep, Choice Scarf Murkrow and Taillow make for good partners as they check threats such as Mienfoo and Scraggy. Finally, Magnemite is a good partner for dealing with Ferroseed and Bronzor; both of these Steel-types wall this set with ease and can set up hazards or Toxic, respectively.</p>

Barrier is a possibility to boost your Defense, but is largely outclassed by Stockpile. Mirror Coat is a nice surprise for taking down powerful special attackers including Misdreavus and Gastly. Lileep has access to Sunny Day as well, so it can act as a bulky weather supporter. If utilizing Sunny Day, be sure to use SolarBeam as your STAB move of choice.</p>
