item: Leftovers
evs: 252 HP / 156 Def / 100 SpD
nature: Calm

Moves
========

Scald is Jellicent's main attack, doing solid damage with a chance to burn its target. Will-O-Wisp lets Jellicent cripple physical attackers. Recover keeps Jellicent operating longer. Protect allows Jellicent to scout as well as dodge double targets. Protect is normally mandatory in doubles, but Jellicent is bulky enough that Hex or Shadow Ball can be considered. Ice Beam can be used in the final slot if you want to deal with Landorus-T and Dragon-types faster.

Set Details
========

The given EV spread allows Jellicent to survive Hydreigon's Choice Specs-boosted Dark Pulse, Mega Salamence's Double-Edge, and two Earthquakes from Landorus-T. Cursed Body is used over Water Absorb, as the possibility of crippling your opponent's Pokemon is far more useful for this set than a Water immunity. Jellicent makes a solid Leftovers user thanks to its bulk.

Usage Tips
========

Use Jellicent's useful array of resistances to come in and start spreading burns. Use Recover when Jellicent's taken a beating. If the opponent is likely to switch Pokemon, it's best to go for a Will-O-Wisp or Recover as they switch, as a Pokemon that is resistant to Jellicent's attacks is likely coming out.

Team Options
========

Jellicent enjoys the company of Pokemon that can buy it some time to burn the foe. In this sense, Mega Kangaskhan and Amoonguss make for good partners. Grass- and Fire-types, such as Amoonguss, Ferrothorn, and Heatran, synergize well with Jellicent. Fighting-types such as Conkeldurr and Fairy-types such as Sylveon help deal with Jellicent's vulnerability to Dark-types such as Hydreigon.

This was taken over from rhythms since jio wanted a bulky jellicent set. If you can both look this over and change what you want until you're happy with it, I can write this up and add it to the current jellicent analysis.

You only need 60 Def EVs to make Landawg's eq a 3HKO, idk what happened with that calc o_o

Talked with Jio with this on IRC. We agreed that Hex probably deserves a mention and that the defense investment be changed to live an Adamant Mega Sal's Double Edge.

This is now QC 1/2. I could give it a QC mark myself, but I'd like another member to look over it first

Scald is Jellicent's main attack, doing inflicting solid damage with a 30% chance of a to burn. Will-O-Wisp lets allows Jellicent to cripple physical attackers. Recover keeps Jellicent operating longer. Protect allows Jellicent to scout as well as dodge double targets. (Remove Full Stop) Protect is normally an almost non negotiable attack in doubles and is almost a non negotiable attack in Doubles, but Jellicent enough where it can consider running Hex or Shadow Ball can be considered.

Set Details
========

The given EV spread allows Jellicent to survive a Choice Specs-boosted Dark Pulse from a Hydreigon, (RC) and a Mega Salamence's Double Edge, (AC) and it makes Adamant EQ from Lando-T a 3HKO, (RC) and allows it to always live Mega Salamence's Double-Edge. Cursed Body is used as the possibility of crippling lets you cripple your opponent's Pokemon and is far more useful for this set than Water Absorb, (AC) which makes its making a water resistance an immunity. Jellicent makes a solid Leftovers user thanks to its bulk. Ice Beam can be used in the final slot if you want to deal with Landorus-T and Dragon-types faster more effectively.

Usage Tips
========
Bring Jellicent in and Use your useful array of resistances to come in and use its resistances to start spreading burns. Recover when Jellicent's taken a beating. If the opponent is likely to switch, they will most likely be switching into a Pokemon resistant to your attacks, (AC) so it's best to go for a burn or Recover as they switch as a Pokemon resistant to your attacks is likely coming out.

Protect is normally an almost non-negotiable (kind of a weird word choice imo? is it okay to say "mandatory" instead?) attack in doubles, but Jellicent (there's something missing here) enough where that Hex or Shadow Ball can be considered.

The given EV spread allows Jellicent to survive a Hydreigon's Choice Specs-boosted Dark Pulse from a Hydreigon, Mega Salamence's Double-Edge, and two Earthquakes from makes Adamant Landorus-T EQ from Lando-T a 3HKO, and allows it to always live Mega Salamence's Double-Edge. Grass- and Fire-types Fire- and Grass-types, such as Amoonguss, Ferrothorn, and Heatran, synergize well with Jellicent naturally well ("by virtue of their typing" or ", forming a Fire / Water / Grass core" or something imo). Fighting-types such as Conkeldurr and Fairy-types such as Sylveon help deal with Jellicent's vulnerability to Dark-types like such as Hydreigon.

Protect is normally mandatory attack in doubles, but Jellicent's is (sounds better in my opinion, but is rather unnecessary) bulky enough that Hex or Shadow Ball can be considered.
