Lord Jesseus vs. Arcanite in the Alphabet Soup (ShinySkarmory refs)

Status

ShinySkarmory, recovered from his nervewracking reffing at the Burning Place, drove up to the magnificient tower where his next reffing was to take place. Apparently, it was the Realgam Tower, where years before it was built as a front for Cipher to give out Shadow Pokemon. Now that Cipher's been eradicated, the place was a full-blown battling paradise, complete with a simulator that could effectively simulate any kind of arena! What kind of battle do we have today?

Arena: What's hip lately? Seems like the Alphabet Soups been popular, let's give it a whirl.
The battlers are on a solid platform in the middle of a giant bowl filled with delicous broth. No move restrictions at all, because you can safely go seismetoad on the platform and there is plenty of broth to swampert your enemies with. In the soup, there is one of each letter unown floating in around aimlessly. They are all close enough to pick up, and a battler may use one action each round (they can't just use three unowns) to use any move that begins with that letter. Once an unown is used, it cannot be used again.
ShinySkarmory walked up and stood in front of the ref's monitor, which allowed him to view the battle from any angle, along with all pokemon's status, HP, and energy. Thank Arceus he didn't have to estimate himself this time! The battling trainers stepped into their cubicles without even a handshake, and the simulated arena paused for a second while their pokeballs were scanned. Basically, the pokemon would control a replica of themselves by moving naturally within their pokeballs, which allowed them to gain experience without being exposed to any harm! Finally, he saw the arena reappear, with virtual images of both trainers appearing on the rim of a soup bowl! What pokemon could they be bringing to this fight?

Resultingly it feels it can weather every strike, and will not dodge an attack even if ordered to. Only when a OHKO move is issued by the opponent does sense return, and the Pokemon acts normally. Additionally even with their extra skill, the power and exhaustion involved in using OHKO moves prevents them from being benefitted by No Guard, they will have their normal accuracy.
  • Steadfast: (DW) (Innate) If this Pokemon is flinched, it becomes aware of the speed difference and increases speed by one (1) stage to make up the difference. This speed boost is maintained at the end of each round. (Not yet active)

According to the simulator, Lord Jesseus will send out his pokemon first, then Arcanite will send out his pokemon with orders, and then Lord Jesseus will give orders for his pokemon.

A quick look at the HUD reveals that Lord Jesseus has only first forms and Arcanite has all seconds! Will Lord Jesseus be able to overcome the disadvantage?

Edge and Gilgamesh, show them what you're made of!

Gilgamesh, Dynamic Punch Aron, then Dynamic Punch Slowpoke then set up a nice light screen!

Edge, set up a light screen, then go for a Glare on Aron, and then a Glare on Slowpoke!

Ok Slowpoke, they're going down the status route, so let's try a Safeguard! Aron that DynamicPunch is going to hurt, and unfortunately you'll be confused before Omega can protect us. But try your best to Metal Burst it back at him!
Slowpoke, Trick Room and then Yawn Machoke. Aron, Head Smash Servine until the end of the round.

On one side of a platform, a Servine and Machoke appeared; on the other side, a Slowpoke and Aron. How will both parties fare in a giant soup bowl?

Actions
The Servine's speed enables him to quickly erect a special attack nerfing wall in the arena. Gilgamesh launches himself across the arena and smashes Beta with a massive punch which knocks Aron head over heels! Aron seems to be disoriented from the impact, but nonetheless explodes his anger into a powerful counterattack! Meanwhile, Slowpoke just sits there, but the HUD confirms that it's setting up a Safeguard...

Edge does an intimidating glare at Aron, but the Safeguard prevents Aron from being frozen in place! Gilgamesh seems to have gotten sick of Slowpoke just sitting there, so he does another massive punch, but this one doesn't seem to have been as effective as the previous one. Aron, in his confusion, strikes himself accidentally. Slowpoke is still just sitting there, but now a pink box appears around the combatants!

Suddenly, Slowpoke is on top of the speed tier! It's still a little sleepy, though, so it yawns at Machoke-that kind of thing is contagious! Aron keeps on the offensive, launching himself head-first into Servine and dealing some nice damage. For some reason, Machoke tries to set up a Light Screen- and fails, because one is already in place! Finally, Edge tries to paralyze Slowpoke with a glare, but he's having none of it; Safeguard blocks it again!

General: Trick Room (3 rounds)

It looks like Arcanite, despite having more powerful pokemon, is falling behind! How can he turn this battle around? Lord Jesseus will start this round.

EDIT: Aron seems to have refocused after Machoke's powerful punch.

I don't think I should still be confused, even if it was 4 action confusion the Self-Harm would lower the stage...
Also Grass doesn't resist Rock, head smash does normal damage.

Anyway, Slowpoke I want you to use the Unown Letter P to unleash a powerful Psycho Boost upon Machoke, while Aron uses F to attack Servine with Freeze Shock! Luckily Trick Room turns our evasion drops into accuracy boosts to secure 100% accuracy on these moves.
Machoke will fall asleep after that, so we'll concentrate of Servine. Aron, Head Smash it while Slowpoke uses Pay Day! The latter is weak but gets us some TC, how lovely!
For the final action, Aron use Head Smash on Servine again (hopefully this will finish it). Slowpoke, use Pay Day again, this time against Machoke.

You should say how long the confusion was in the calcs for reference.

Gilgamesh, grab unown u, and use uproar on slowpoke! Then, we'll finish Aron off with a Dynamic Punch, followed by a Vital Throw!

Edge, grab an unown T, and use Trick Room against them! Then Leaf Tornado Slowpoke, and finish up by grabbing unown a, and using Aura Sphere on Aron!
IF Aron has less than 26 HP remaining on a3, use unown s to use Seed Flare on Slowpoke!

For the purposes of this reffing, Unown-based attacks cost 0 energy. If this is incorrect, I'll edit in energy costs. Also, Uproar targets a random enemy and locks you in for 3 actions, but I ignored the lock-in because it was technically used by an Unown.

Coming into the round, the soup is ripe for an Unown frenzy. Which side will come out on top?

General: Trick Room (3 rounds)

Actions
This round starts with Aron apparently channeling his inner Kyurem; he's surrounded by ice and it's starting to crackle with electricity! Slowpoke joins in the Unown abuse with a swarm of Unown P unleashing a powerful Psycho Boost on Machoke! Machoke seems fazed, creating an uproar from all the Unowns! Servine uses the power of the Unowns to undo Slowpoke's magic, putting his team ahead in the speed tier. Aron's finally done preparing, and strikes Servine with all his might, dealing severe damage.

Servine, finally freed from the mysterious field effect, unleashes his signature move upon Slowpoke for solid damage, while Machoke unleashes a similar flurry of punches from last round that knocks Aron for a loop again. He doesn't look like he's doing so well, but he still pulls off a Head Smash against Servine, for more damage! Slowpoke just makes his trainer more TC with Pay Day, which also seems to strike a critical part of Servine's body-the tail, perhaps?

Shaymin- err, I mean Servine- unleashes a powerful Seed Flare on Slowpoke, severely denting the... whatever Slowpoke is. Machoke seems to be just standing waiting for something to happen, so Aron snatches the opportunity to smash Servine again, finishing it off! It vanishes from the simulation while Slowpoke grabs more cowbell- I mean TC- for Slowpoke. Machoke stops waiting and grabs Aron, hurling it into the soup for the KO!

Servine: Trick Room (Speed returns to normal), -10 energy, Unown T used.
Aron: Freeze Shock (attack) (hit; 965) (no crit; 907) (no freeze; 891) (14+ (4-3)1.5)1,5=23 damage, Unown F used.

Unown remaining:

It looks like Lord Jesseus has miraculously managed to maintain his advantage, and collect some extra TC to boot! Can Arcanite manage to turn this match around in the 11th hour?
EDIT: All Unown related actions last round will stand. I will add the energy costs, though. The Unown use rules stated by Leethoof are in effect. Also, I have fixed Lord Jesseus's Grass and Rock thing.

I'm now adding flavor for this round and adding energy costs for used Unowns. Also, I accidentally wrote Machoke as having used Aura Sphere, even though he used Vital Throw. (Vital Throw still easily scores the KO, though.)

Coming in to say, as official ref of Unown soup, Unowns cost regular energy and only one can be ordered per poke per round.

Unown remaining:

The battle is quickly coming to a close! Who will win?

Actions
Machoke reaches into the soup and pulls up an Unown Z, which uses one of the only two moves available to it: Zap Cannon! It hits Slowpoke for massive damage, but Slowpoke has an Unown-based trick of its own: a Mirror Coat that turns the tables on Machoke, who barely survives the counterattack. Machoke desperately goes for one last shot with two of its massive punches. Slowpoke staggers from the blow, but manages to unleash a third Pay Day that ends the fight!
Action 1
Machoke: Zap Cannon (hit) (no crit; 756) (paralyzed) (12+(2-1)1.5)1.5= 20.25=20 damage
Slowpoke: (attack succeeds; 607) Mirror Coat (25*1.5)= 30 damage, - 13 energy.

Action 2
Machoke: Double Dynamic Punch Combo (22.5 base power, 40 energy, always confuses combo) (no crit; 470) (22.5+3+(5-3)1.5)0.66=18.81=19 damage, - 39 energy.
Slowpoke: (attack succeeds; 434) Pay Day (4+(4-3)1.5)=5.5=6 damage, MACHOKE is KOED!

End Battle!

GG!
Arcanite's Rewards:

Machoke gets 1 EC, 2 MC, 1 DC, and one KOC.

Servine gets 1 EC, 2 MC, and 1 DC.

Arcanite gets 2 TC.

Lord Jesseus' rewards:

Aron gets 1 EC, 2 MC, 1 DC, and 1 KOC.

Slowpoke gets 1 EC, 2 MC, 1 DC, and 1 KOC.

Lord Jesseus gets 2 TC, plus another 3 TC from Pay Day.

I get 4 RC.

Thanks for battling!

EDIT: Fixing Calcs based on Arcanite's point. Please wait...

EDIT 2: Calcs are fixed, but now the images seem to have disappeared (at least on my computer)

Ummm, no. Zap Cannon should do 12x1.5+1.75 = ~20 Damage according to my calcs. It also always paralyzes. (You said it wasn't a crit)

Therefore it should survive the mirror coat (If it passes Paralysis), and 1 pay day. Then my Combo will confuse...

Arcanite, even with the fixed calculation, Slowpoke still KOs you before you KO it. You lose either way, especially because Dynamicpunch doesn't inflict Confusion if a Safeguard is up.

Posting the fixed calcs to clear up any confusion.
