And so, here we are at the Crystal Tower, home to some mad magician called Atharla! Today, the wizard has been alerted, as two Pokémon Trainers decide to use his tower as the arena for this battle! The trainers? Long time veteran: Objection, & his low key opponent: DFrog! Time to see what this match will be like!

# Abilities: All

This battle takes place inside a tower that appears to be made of crystal. Actually, it's made of an unknown but incredibly sturdy material that has been enchanted to have a crystalline appearance. Because of this, any attempts to dig through the ground will fail. There is no water source available, nor are there any signs of plant life to use as a grass source or even any debris to use as a rock source.

This tower is the home of the powerful wizard Atharla. She is aware of the battle taking place in her home and has sealed off access to higher parts of the tower with an invisible, impenetrable wall. That doesn't mean she's going to leave you alone though. Taking a break from spell research, Atharla will observe the battle through her scrying mirror and use some of her low-level transmutation spells to make things a little more interesting. At the end of each round, she will cast a spell on each pokemon. The spells are as follows:
  • Tauros' Strength: This increases the pokemon's attack rank by 1. This spell may only be cast on a pokemon that used physical attacks on every action of the round.
  • Zoroark's Cunning: This increases the pokemon's special attack rank by 1. This spell may only be cast on a pokemon that used special attacks on every action of the round.
  • Ursaring's Endurance: This increases the pokemon's defence rank by 1. This spell may only be cast on a pokemon that was hit by physical attacks on every action of the round.
  • Noctowl's Wisdom: This increases the pokemon's special defence rank by 1. This spell may only be cast on a pokemon that was hit by special attacks on every action of the round.
  • Persian's Grace: This increases the accuracy of the pokemon's moves by a flat 10% after all other modifiers. This spell may only be cast on a pokemon that missed at least once in the round. A move simply failing or hitting a Double Team clone does not count.
  • Ninjask's Speed: If the pokemon's current speed stage is negative, it is reset to 0. Otherwise, it is increased by 1 and does not decay next round. This spell may only be cast on the pokemon with the lowest actual speed at the end of the round.
  • Enlarge: If the pokemon is affected by Minimize, the move's effect is removed. Otherwise, the pokemon's size class is increased by 1 (with a maximum size class of 7) and its weight class is increased by 2 (with a maximum weight class of 12). This spell may only be cast on pokemon that, at least once in the round, used Bodyblock or any damaging move whose BAP increases as the user's size class or weight class increases (such as Stomp or Head Smash).
  • Shrink: The pokemon's size class is reduced by 1 (with a minimum size class of 1) and its weight class is reduced by 2 (with a minimum weight class of 1). This spell may only be cast on pokemon that, at least once in the round, used Dodge or Take Cover or was hit by any damaging move whose BAP increases as the target's size class or weight class increases (such as Low Kick or Vital Throw).
Only one spell may be cast on each pokemon in each round. If a pokemon meets the preconditions for multiple spells, one is chosen at random. A pokemon that switches out (or uses a move like U-turn/is hit by a move like Roar if switch=KO) has all spell effects on it removed.

Definitely an uphill battle on my behalf considering I don't have a pokemon with a Rank higher than 2 in any stats but anything is possible. Super effective attack are my best bet, of which I have few.

Thunderbolt ~ Confusion ~ Thunderbolt
I would sub but there's literally nothing I could effectively prevent given the massive speed difference and current movepool of Ralts

Magical Madness! Objection vs. DFrog (3v3 Singles) - Round 1

DFrog, your Ralts should have 34 Speed with a -Speed nature, not 35. Also, Iron Fist is no longer a Trait.

OBJECTION VS. DFROG

Round One - Fight!

And so, Objection opens the fight by sending out his Breezi: Syndrome! As Training Items are permitted, Objection figures to give his Breezi an Exp. Share & sent him forth to battle! DFrog counters by sending out his Ralts: Jäger! DFrog also gives his Ralts an Exp. Share, & the with the stage set, battle begin!

The battle in this enchanted tower begins with Jäger tracing Syndrome's Persistent ability, as Syndrome starts the attacking by hurling poisonous sludge at Jäger! The sludge never looked like missing, & the Ralts was badly poisoned as a result! Sadly though, it did trigger Jäger's Synchronise Ability, but Syndrome's body was resistant to the poison, & was immune! Jäger then counter-punched by zapping the Breezi with a powerful bolt of lightning, dealing some damage! As the poison started to seep away at Jäger's strength, Syndrome then exacerbates it by firing drops of poison onto the Ralts! The poison in Jäger's system makes the attack far more potent, but not as much damage was dealt as Syndrome hoped! Jäger then focused, before striking the Breezi with a weak, telekinetic, mental assault, dealing some damage! While it fails to disorientate Syndrome, the Breezi then returned the favour with his own mind games, subjecting the Ralts into a mental state where it cannot repeat, with the help of dark energy! Jäger then caps off the round by zapping Syndrome with another bolt of lightning, dealing some more damage, as the poison in his body starts to gain in strength!

Round end, & what is this? Atharla the female wizard has come to the battle wondering what all the fuss is all about! She then decides that she wants to influence the battle with the help of her spells! Syndrome was first afflicted, gaining the wisdom of a Noctowl, but the wisdom was then balanced out as Jäger was afflicted with the cunning of a Zoroark! After that, Atharla then decided to sit down & spectate the match. While Jäger managed to get a head start, it looks like he cannot do much to Syndrome next round, providing Objection does not switch! What will happen next round? We will find out soon enough.

Magical Madness! Objection vs. DFrog (3v3 Singles) - Round 2

OBJECTION VS. DFROG

Round Two - More Damage!

Syndrome begins the round by insulting Jäger with some unspeakable words involving how the Ralts could not float! This enraged Jäger, as he then responded by casting a ball of shadows in the direction of the Breezi, unsettling, but not enough to make Syndrome crash land. Syndrome then fights back by bombing Jäger with more drops of poison, exacerbating the Ralts' poisoned state by dealing large damage! All Jäger could do in return, however, was pepper Syndrome with white leaves from his body, dealing pitiful damage. Satisfied, Syndrome continued with his tried & true tactic of peppering the Ralts with exacerbated drops of water, as Jäger then responded by blasting the Breezi with another ball of shadow. At this point, Atharla then rose from her throne again, & went to cast spells on the Pokémon, afflicting Syndrome with another dose of Noctowl's Wisdom, & afflicting Jäger this time, with Ninjask's Speed, making the Ralts faster!

Another round done, & with Jäger heavily crippled, it looks like DFrog will continue to have a rough time against the Breezi with ever-strengthening poison affecting his system! What will happen next round, let us find out! Well, not now, soon.

OBJECTION VS. DFROG

Round Three - A One-Sided Struggle...

Syndrome begins the round impressed by Jäger's shadowy attacks, & claps his feet around, asking Jäger to repeat the move! Jäger responds by doing nothing, affected by his mental state of not trying to repeat, as the disappointed Syndrome simply fires more drops of poison on Jäger for more damage! Jäger is still nervous about attacking though, & simply rams into Syndrome, dealing damage to both, as bot Jäger's mental state or not repeating & repeating ends! Though, it was too little too late, as Syndrome simply swatted the Ralts with a kick, taking it out! 3-2 Objection!

Round end, & it seems like Atharla does not want to help anyone this round, as she simply sits on her throne, doing nothing. Nevertheless, Objection seems to have the advantage now, with DFrog's Ralts down for the count! Can DFrog haul back Objection's advantage? Find out next round.

Alameda Slim begins the round by letting out a shriek which unsettles Bosco, before making some unspeakable swears aimed at the Shroomish, enraging it to the point where all it could do is attack! Attacking is what Bosco does, though, as he fires a seed from his body, firing it at Alameda Slim, & exploding for nasty damage! Bosco does not let up though, as he then fires two more explosive seeds at the Sandile, peppering him for more damage, when suddenly, Alameda Slim retaliates by striking Bosco with a swipe of his claw for intense damage! This does not dishearten the Shroomish, as he fires another explosive seed at Alameda Slim, striking for even more damage, but once again, Alameda Slim retaliates by slashing at Bosco for more damage. This time, Atharla gets off his throne, & fires spells, afflicting Alameda Slim with the endurance of an Ursaring, & afflicting Bosco with the strength of a Tauros!

Round end, & the two new Pokémon have been badly battered & bruised after one round of action! What will happen next round? That is coming soon to a forum near you (No, not the a forum either).

Magical Madness! Objection vs. DFrog (3v3 Singles) - Round 5

OBJECTION VS. DFROG

Round Five - More Switches & Crits

Not satisfied with having a Sandile to fend off a Shroomish, Objection then withdraws Alameda Slim, & sends out Edgar the Scraggy in his place! Objection does not give any items to Edgar, as DFrog responds to the switch by replacing his Shroomish with Faust the Chimchar, who comes out to play once more!

Edgar (M)

Stats: 4 / 3 / 1 / 3 / 48
SC/WC/BRT: 1 / 2 / 15
Boosts: N/A

Edgar starts by rushing at the Chimchar, striking him critically, & shocking him into submission, where Faust cannot attack! Faust then recovers from the powerful attack, & then kicks back at Edgar, hitting critically once, & dealing some damage! But Edgar had other ideas, & the Scraggy retaliated with one powerful fist to the face for some powerful damage! Faust stumbles, but recovers to let off a star-shaped wall of fire, which sears the Scraggy...critically! No Burns though, as Edgar suddenly envelops his fist with a draining aura, before swinging it at Faust, striking him & replenishing some lost health! At this point, Edgar rose once more, & afflicted Edgar with the Speed of a Ninjask, before afflicting Faust with the endurance of an Ursaring!

Round done, & it seems that Objection is simply extending his advantage now. Can he maintain it with the new-found speed advantage? Or will DFrog start to make a comeback? Find out next time on CAP ASB Tower Matches...

Magical Madness! Objection vs. DFrog (3v3 Singles) - Round 6

OBJECTION VS. DFROG

Round Six - Nothing Special

Edgar begins the round by using his new-found speed to get the jump on Faust, swinging his arms & striking the Chimchar with one swift chop, but Faust then responds by firing off a star-shaped wall of fire that sears the Scraggy for some damage! Faust does not let up though, thrusting towards Edgar at a blistering pace, before slamming him with his paws, forcing him to cringe, recovering from the speed before retaliating with another swing of the arms! He hits Faust on the forehead, but all it does is make the Chimchar's tail (or lack of it) burn brighter, as he fires off another star-shaped blast of fire at Edgar, torching him for some extra damage! Atharla then rose from her throne once more, but was not amused with Edgar, so she gave him no spell. She did, however, afflict Faust with the speed of a Ninjask, making the Chimchar the faster Pokémon again!

Round End, & well... Just issue actions.
