Hi me and theangryscientist will be taking over for Havak now.

Smogon Mario Kart 7 Tournament​

rules

- All Items On.
- All Characters and Karts are allowed.
- Random Track Selection for every race.
- Four races will be played per group.
- No Glitch Shortcuts.
- Obviously, no Action Replay codes.
- Disconnections result in a loss and elimination.
- The two players with the most points from four races advance.

* If there is a tie between players for positions, the races will be replayed where possible. For example, if Player A wins the Group with 40 Points, but Players C and D finish on 28 Points each, the two players in question would race each other in another four races. If there is again a tie, a sudden death race will take place with the winner advancing. The same goes for any potential three-way or even four-way ties, with first and/or second place advancing. All of these races will use the same rules as the main group stages.

You may have noticed that some of the groups are bigger than others. This was done to accommodate as many players as possible. Regardless of your group size, the top 2 from each group will advance from each round.

Deadline for round one is approximately 2 weeks from now: Sunday, January 29 at 6:00 PM CST. It will likely be very difficult to find subs for this, so be active or be disqualified!

I can;t swing by the chat anymore, because in my effort too explain why the chat was on +R, I accidentally copied the text from said spammer and pasted it (resulting in my IP being banned), so yeah I cant go on IRC anymore, which is stupidity on my part, because it was a nice place to chat. If anyone in my group is reading this, just send me a message about when you are free to race and i'll do my best to respond.

MrcRanger97 PMed me a few days ago saying that he is dropping out of the tornament. I told him to post here but he hasn't.

For anyone in my group, please try to go on IRC for as long as possible. I tried to organise it through PMs but that didn't work out so IRC might work better. For the record, I have the day off tomorrow (by my timezone) so that would be a good time if possible.

I'm going to extend deadline another week. Deadline is now Sunday, February 5th. Please, PLEASE get your races done, as after that date I'm just going to award wins based off of activity.

Also, if you don't have IRC access, you're crippling your ability to organize races. Mibbit is a free, easy-to-use browser-based IRC client. mIRC is downloadable and you never have to register as long as you hit continue twice.
