Once upon a time, there was a desert. The conditions situated throughout the desert was extremely, extremely HOT! There seems to be a couple of cool, prickly cacti here and there, and they got some healthy, NUTRITIOUS water in them!

One blazing summer, two humans took a stroll throughout this desert. They are Fire Blast and Kaxtar. Both of them wandered and wandered in search of treasure for several haunting days, until finally something showed its face. It was... a hot chick. A REALLY HOT CHICK! Both Fire Blast and Kaxtar immediately began to fight and argue about who gets to have her. After a long hour, they have come to a conclusion? A Pokemon battle! A perfect test of one's might and strength!

Tepig, you're up (with Blaze)!

Start with a Yawn to try and get him asleep. Then use a Defense Curl to set yourself up nicely for a Rollout. If at any time he uses a non-attacking move, create a 15% substitute.

Round 1: Desert Battle

Ahhh, the desert. Deserted, dry, and always shining in incredible heat. A Sunny Day! You know what? It's perfect for a Pokemon battle! Of course, I spy one already! And I know who's battling...

Hedwig begins the match with a screeching Uproar that bellows through the arena and creates bulges within the hills of sands. The opponent, Scarlet, is in deep pain as a consequence of the uproar and cannot perform her Yawn duty! Either she's not tired enough or that the uproar was just way too intimidating!

Seeing how she's at the advantage, Hedwig gets Worked Up for no apparent reason other than to be worked up and boosts her offensive capabilities slightly. Now Scarlet takes the free action to set up a nice, round Substitute (15%) in front of her to cushion future assaults. Better safe than sorry should I say myself!

With her higher special offense, Hedwig flies a bit toward Scarlet and slashes the air with a sounding, rippling wave that crashes onto the substitute. It barely holds on as it absorbs the attack, which is great news for Scarlet! From behind, Scarlet comes out of the dusty air in a Rollout assault and flings her onto the owl for some irreversible damage! Essentially, Scarlet pounced upon Hedwig, whose now stuck onto the ground from the move for a limited amount of time. Looks like Scarlet, who is now already behind the Substitute, rolled her flat!

Hedwig
A1: Uproar > 9 + 3 + (3-2 x 1.5) = [14 Damage] [6 Energy]
A2: Work Up > [6 Energy]
A3: Air Slash > 8 + 3 + (3-2 x 1.5) + (1-0 x 1.5) = [14 Damage] [5 Energy]
surprisingly, uproar IS stronger than air slash!

Scarlet
A1: Yawn > [7 Energy]
A2: Substitute (15%) > [12 Energy]
A3: Rollout > 4 + (3-1 x 1.5) x 1.5 = [11 Damage] [5 Energy]

Fire Blast's turn!

Hedwig confuse that pig till he can't take it anymore.
Then set up a reflect so you become invincible (sorta)
finish with another powerful air slash, powerful enough to slash air!

Round 2: Deep Heat

Still sunny as always!

Noticing that she must eliminate that ugly substitute once and for all, Hedwig gets up from being crushed and immediately uses a Confusion attack to blast the substitute mentally and decimate it into crumbling pieces of nothingness. Right from behind, though, comes a Scarlet on the Rollout! This attack rolls right through the poor owl once again! THE PAIN! Afterward, Scarlet rolls back into his starting position, ready for MORE rolling!

Hedwig knows for sure that she must lessen this unbearable pain and swiftly sets up a screen of Reflect to deflect off some of the incoming damage. There's Scarlet, mean, cruel, UGLY, approaching through to soft sand as fast as a rolling tire! Her Rollout had to squeeze through the reflect this time and then smash onto Hedwig, but at least the damage was softened. Hedwig immediately switches sides of the screen as Scarlet... doesn't really return to her old starting part - she's making a u-turn backward in that same Rollout! Quickly, Hedwig attempts to stop the hardball with a crisp Air Slash through the air right on the pig. Scarlet appears to have staggered a bit, but... SHE'S NOT STOPPING! By then, the end result is a squished owl and a happy piggy. =)

Apparently, Hedwig's Uproar effect has worn off. Getting sleepy?

In terms of location, Hedwig is closeby this cactus, for the sake of landmark, while Scarlet is rolling back to, let's say, her 5 feet away starting location.

Hedwig
A1: Confusion > [does enough to destroy sub] [3 Energy]
A2: Reflect > [8 Energy]
A3: Air Slash > 8 + 3 + (3-2 x 1.5) + (1-0 x 1.5) = [14 Damage] [5 Energy]

Scarlet
A1: Rollout > 4 + (3-1 x 1.5) x 1.5 = 11-5 = [6 Damage] [5 Energy]
A2: Rollout > 7 + (3-1 x 1.5) x 1.5 = 15-5 = [10 Damage] [6 Energy]
A3: Rollout > 10 + (3-1 x 1.5) x 1.5 = 20-5 = [15 Damage] [7 Energy]

To my understanding, Rollout is interesting in its own that consecutive use will not add 4 energy and instead only add 1 as said in its description.

Kaxtar's turn!

Hedwig, start with an Air Slash do some damage. Then follow with a Confusion to make the pig confused about where you are. Then Roost on top of a cactus (where there are no spikes) so that Scarlet rollouts into the cactus, damaging himself.

Round 3: Blazer

AH MY HEAD IT'S SWEATING BALLS

Okay not really.

ANYWAY, Scarlet's on her way back to Hedwig with a fast-paced Rollout assault! Sensing the movement, Hedwig flutters a little forward and delivers an alarming Air Slash! This cuts through the wind impressively hard and strikes Scarlet's ball formation, stopping it completely! Must this be a flinch or a flinch? I think it was a flinch!

Keeping up her momentum, Hedwig goes ahead and gives Scarlet the Confusion of a life time! But... it was kinda weak, as in it didn't really do much! Scarlet easily shrugs off the weak attack and continues her last Rollout attack and successfully CRUSHES Hedwig onto the sand! Sometimes I wonder if Scarlet is actually a wheel.

After being smacked so many times from the Rollouts, Hedwig smartens up a bit because she is a wise owl after all, right? She flutters a bit upon the nearby tree... err, cactus, and Roosts to improve her longevity. OoOOoOO, is she safe? Scarlet the wheel, after u-turning back, is cycling straight at Hedwig's location at turbo speed! She's rolling... Rolling... ROLLING! ... POW! She just ran into that cactus as if it were nothing! The impact of the Rollout smashes the cactus so hard that it literally broke off and causes Hedwig to crash off it! However, in the process, it seems like Scarlet did indeed take some cactus damage!

Both contenders are pretty close to each other, near a fallen cactus (however that works but it's Pokemon so yeah of course it works!).

Use Sub after his air slash to get a free protection against his second air slash on action three. Then, use a Defense Curl to boost your subsequent Rollouts but 4 base power points a piece. If you got flinched by the first Air Slash, replace Defense Curl with
Sub.

Round 4: Exhaustion

I don't think anyone cares about the sun... =(

Continuing her latest trend of attacking, Hedwig flutters about and slices the wind with her Air Slash technique, which slashes onto Scarlet with amazing force. However, that doesn't stop out beloved piggy from stopping! She goes ahead and creates a safe and sound Substitute to take incoming damage and protect her own hide from being pork! By then, Hedwig's safe Reflect has worn off. Even double the trouble!

Seeing how pesky Scarlet can be, Hedwig ponders her mind and then Works Up about how happy it can be to thrash Scarlet into oblivion, IF she can do that! Scarlet prepares for her own combo with a nice, round Defense Curl behind her still-perfectly-fine Substitute.

Uh-oh! Hedwig might be in for some trouble! She hastily conjures a swift Air Slash toward the Substitute in hopes of breaking it, but to no avail as no Substitute is still in tact! From behind the Substitute comes a storming Scarlet in a Rollout! Ah, looks like Hedwig's just too slow to dodge the attack as Scarlet heavily rolls over the poor owl into smashed marshmallow. Oh so poofy pop!

Scarlet's rollouting her way outward (say 5 feet), while Hedwig's fluttering nearby two other cacti, though smaller this time around.

Round 5: Roasted Piggy

Looks like both Pokemon are definitely getting pretty intense in this forsaken desert! God damn heat! Whose idea was it to battle here again?

Hedwig seems pretty well-prepared though. She's kinda sitting at place with a watchful eye at Scarlet, who's just about to prepare a Rollout! By the time Scarlet reaches Hedwig, though, the owl is already gone! Where? Up! Up! It's an Agility dodge skyward! Scarlet uncurls and becomes a little startled from the sudden change!

From the sky, Hedwig sends a quick Confusion downward, which strikes the old worn-out Substitute of Scarlet and shatters it into pieces. That bought Scarlet some time to plan an airborne assault despite being a grounded pig. Despite the spikyness of the cacti, Scarlet attempts to climb the tallest one available and jumps upward into a Rollout formation toward the flying Hedwig! Did it hit? Barely, I would say! Seems like parts of Hedwig's feet were roughly damaged, but the rest of her body seems okay!

The finishing touch is coming! Hedwig quickly delivers the decisive Air Slash straight at the falling Scarlet, pounding her even harder toward the ground in her desperate attempt to survive. CRASH! And Scarlet falls onto the sand and creates a "massive" mist of dust into the air. After the dust clear up, it is inevitable to say that Scarlet has fainted! From there, Hedwig's getting a bit tired and flies to the lower grounds of the arena, awaiting her next opponent.

Okay, Kaxtar sends out a new mon, then Fire Blast orders. Then, Kaxtar orders!

Hedwig, start with a powerful Air Slash. Follow up with a Pluck. At the end, Chill, but if your health is below 20 use Roost.

If Shroomish uses a move such as spore, poison powder, leech seed etc. use Whirlwind to blow away the powder and crash Shroomish into a cactus.

We can do this Shroomish! Begin with a Poison Powder...on yourself! This should trigger Hoothoot's whirlwind, making it so that both air slash doesn't work and I get poisoned. Next, use Stun Spore, then Spore. However, I want you to move behind Hoothoot after the stun spore; this might throw off Hoothoot's sense of direction, and maybe allow one of your spore attacks hit! Worst comes to worst, he burns some energy on Whirlwinds.

Round 6: Emerald Shrooms... Enter the Desert!

Poor Scarlet. I'm sure she did the best she could do. Now how about you Emerald? You're type-disadvantaged, but I expect nothing short of awesomeness for this round!

As Hedwig eyeballs down Scarlet and attempts a swift Air Slash, Emerald immediately begins to shake himself and spray a bountiful amount of PoisonPowders around his area. Immediately Hedwig changes orders and summons a dusty Whirlwind that becomes more like a wild dust devil in the desert! This blows Emerald and the powders straight across the desert, but luckily the little shroom didn't manage to hit his head on a cactus! While Emerald was rolling through, parts of the PoisonPowder got in contact with Emerald's breathing system and poisoned him!

Hmm, no good. Hedwig thinks up another plan and tries to hop over for a nice Pluck, but Emerald has other mischievous plans in session. Emerald shoots out a shower of Stun Spore across the air that attempt to cripple Hedwig into lunch. Seeing how being a crippled bird is no bird at all, Hedwig kicks up another Whirlwind right off the bat and attempts to blow away the lethal powders before they get into contact. The move succeeds and blows them right away onto a towering cactus, which receives the Stun Spore and becomes fully paralyzed! For Emerald, he scores lucky again as his head is not poked by any cactus yet!

This time around, Hedwig attempts to just take it easy. She's tired, can't she get a break? NAAAH, as Emerald can be seen hopping straight across the desert in an attempt to get behind Hedwig. bong bong bong! Hedwig takes the hopping as a serious threat and locks eye-contact on the little shroom. It seems like moving around this wise owl is impossible, so Emerald gives her the Spore of a lifetime... but not before Hedwig summons yet another Whirlwinding hell! This swirls parts of the powder and Emerald across the desert... but just somehow of a miracle, parts of the Spore got in contact and gave Hedwig a small light sleep! How? Just how? Maybe because Spore is pretty special and 100% accurate? Who knows. As for Emerald, it seems that he was certainly knocked onto a cactus this time around! This causes some bleeding, but not much as his Poison Heal easily restores the cells and skin back to normal.

Sleeping owl is sleeping nearby some knocked down cacti, while Emerald is facing her directly... with many evil intentions.

Kaxtar's orders!

Alright, let's get some more status going!

Begin with a Stun Spore. He's still sleeping, so take your time to make sure you don't miss. Then, use another Spore. Because he's slower than you after the paralysis, he can't Whirlwind the spores away. Finish with a Leech Seed; again, take your time. Hoothoot will be sleeping by this point sleeping and we really don't want a miss.

While sleeping, chill Hoothoot! Second turn, if you successfully chilled use confusion to damage Shrommish and distort the spore. Finish by Air Slashing Shroomish. If you did not successfully chill, then chill instead of using confusion.

Round 7: Sleepy Owl

Let's get back into action. It appears that Emerald has a perfect opportunity to do exactly one mischievous thing. He hops right in front of Hedwig's sleepy face and releases a very accurate scatter of Stun Spores that immediately cripples the poor bird!

After receiving the paralysis, Hedwig wakes up from her sleepiness and chills a bit as she IS about to run out of energy! Good thing that doesn't require any paralysis restrictions... but then Emerald, still in front of Hedwig's wise face, fires off another ounce of powders - this time a Spore! This puts Hedwig into a nice, long, deep sleep. She just can't get enough sleep these days! I know I don't either.

As Hedwig snoozes off, Emerald continues his torture by spouting out some Leech Seeds onto Hedwig's face. This plop and immediately suck out the life of Hedwig for Emerald's own personal use. After the deal is done, the wind howls in boredom across the golden sands on how nothing exciting really happened. Sleep does that.
