Today we have a battle between two of Maxim's Pokemon and two of Dogfish44's Pokemon. Representing Maxim are two Poison-types, Grima the Grimer and Algaeon the Skrelp. In Dogfish44's corner are two Fighting-types, Panda the Pancham and Umbra the Scraggy.
Seizing the initiative, Umbra and Panda immediately begin wailing on Algaeon with a Thunder Punch from the former and a Crunch from the latter. Fearing that more of this is to come, Algaeon hides behind a Substitute, but Grima has other plans. Tapping into Umbra's mind, she Disables that punching manoeuvre that her ally had fallen victim to earlier. Unsure of what to do, the Scraggy Struggles to break through the Skrelp's decoy. However, even with assistance from Panda and her Hidden Power, it's still not enough to breach his defences. From the safety of his cover, Algaeon swamps the arena with a Sludge Wave, catching his teammate in the sludge but it's not like she minds too much.
And then it all goes south for Panda. First, she gets struck by Grima's Thunderbolt, which leaves her paralysed. So paralysed, in fact, that she can't even move! Her opponents can though and Algaeon wastes no time in Playing Rough with the Pancham. The bruising leaves her feeling weakened and then Grima hurls a Mud Bomb in her eyes, leaving her vision impaired. Umbra's Crunch finally destroys Algaeon's decoy, but the Skrelp's venomous skin inflicts a nasty poison on her. Fortunately, Umbra's own skin peels away and removes the toxins with it.

As Panda was unable to move earlier, the first thing she decides to do this round is try to regain control of her limbs. She doesn't attack while she does this, but it works and her paralysis is cured. Umbra focuses on Crunching Algaeon repeatedly while the Skrelp covers everyone in a couple of Sludge Waves, but he falls before he can pull off a third. At first it seems he has the last laugh as the Scraggy's final bite transfers some of his toxins into her, but Umbra simply sheds her skin and the poison along with it. Grima focuses on wearing Panda down with more Thunderbolts, and the last one leaves her paralysed again, but not before she strikes the Grimer with a couple of Power-Up Punches, the first of which hits her in a weak spot despite the Pancham's visual difficulties.
All in all, a rather interesting round considering the lack of variety in actions.

Feeling bolder than ever before, Umbra launches into an assault on her one remaining foe. She begins with a Fire Punch before Grima can react. Grima hurls a Mud Bomb at Panda but this time only catches her on the torso. Despite everything, Panda is able to retaliate and she does so by Crunching on Grima, striking a weak spot in the process! Umbra decides to follow her ally's example and she too Crunches before Grima zaps Panda with a Thunderbolt, incapacitating her. Grima's joy at knocking out an opponent is short-lived, however, as one more Crunch from Umbra seals her fate.
