So since it can technically not evolve and would be broken as all f*ck, is it safe to say she isn't allowed?
I don't think its capability to evolve is relevent. XY OU does not even have a dozen pokemon that avoid a 2HKO. Here, we have next to nothing. Some calcs (note that I did fix the special attack. I use Moonblast as a placeholder for Light of Ruin.
252+ SpA Choice Specs Floette Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Chansey: 147-174 (41.1 - 48.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

252+ SpA Choice Specs Floette Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Rhydon in Sand: 159-187 (75 - 88.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252+ SpA Choice Specs Floette Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Piloswine: 205-243 (99 - 117.3%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO
252+ SpA Choice Specs Floette Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Sealeo: 187-222 (94.9 - 112.6%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO
252+ SpA Choice Specs Floette Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 252 SpD Pignite: 214-253 (108.6 - 128.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252+ SpA Choice Specs Floette Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Porygon2: 144-169 (75 - 88%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

I think my argument for quickban holds (assuming it is allowed).

It'd probably be pretty relevant to include calculations against Doublade, Magneton, Lairon, Metang, Klang, and Whirlipede. While some of these Pokemon aren't the best to use in Middle Cup, they hold key resistances to Light of Ruin, and all of which can immediately threaten Floette-E with supereffective STAB.

Ugh it's been a while since I've seen anything Middle Cup, what have I missed?

floette would probably end up suiciding to recoil long before it kills chansey lol

however considering as this particular form of floette cannot evolve into florges it should be banned based on principle alone (there is no AZ Flabebe or AZ Florges in the game, so technically speaking AZ floette is a stand out pokemon by itself)

Pikachuun

the entire waruda machine

In order to be absolutely certain, we should test to see if it's allowed in in-game middle cup first, because that's what this meta is based on.

EDIT: Hey 2:27 me, you're an idiot. Have a rice day.

Anyway, AZ's Floette is most likely an alternate Forme and therefore will not have evolved or be evolvable, and may even have vastly different stats to go with its painful Light of Ruin attack. On that basis it will most likely be banned-- I don't know much about this little thing though. Don't know what's been leaked on it.

there isn't an AZ Flabebe or AZ Florges in the game afaik. AZ Floette is effectively speaking a stand-out entity, that is illegal if you run it with other Floette due to species clause. despite that, simply because AZ Flabebe/Florges doesn't exist, we should ban AZ Floette from MC by principle as well.

swadloon sticky web offense was pretty strong the last time i tried it. you've got a nice selection of hard-hitters in the tier too including frog, pikachu, marill and p2.

I hope this will be as much fun as LC! I'll definitely try it!
Things I'm excited about:
1. Frogadier
2. Marill (Azumarill 2.0)
3. Similar strategys to LC.
Things I'm not excited about:
1. Fletchinder (I'm tired of gale wings)
2. Stallers such as porygon2,dusclops,and chansey.(Since I'm an LC player, I'm way more used to hyper offense)

I really want this to come back. I'm so excited to use Pignite actually!

This is my own Pignite set, I didn't search for any other sets of it, so it might be already done.

RELEASE THICK FAT! (Pignite) @ Assault Vest
Ability: THICK FAT
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Flare Blitz
- Low Sweep
- Sucker Punch
- Stone Edge

This set is made to force switch-ins and check a good number of special attackers.

A little set I'd like to share for people having trouble with Combusken:

Lampent @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Flamethrower
- Shadow Ball
- Psychic
- Clear Smog

This guy makes Combusken runs away in fear, especially if Combusken's running the usual Protect/Swords Dance/(Fighting move)/(Fire Move). It only renders Combusken's STABs useless, but it can hit back in the form on Shadow Ball. Flamethrower and Shadow Ball is for STAB, Psychic's there for additional coverage and Clear Smog helps reset any extra stat boosts your opponent has

Lampent still loses to common pokemon like P2/Chansey/little froggeh, etc.

A more reliable set would be this:

Lampent @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
-Flamethrower
-Shadow Ball
-Psychic/Energy Ball/HP Fighting
-Trick

Lampent is already kinda sub-par in Middle Cup, for reasons I stated above, but this set is a better way to salvage the niche it has of countering Busken. Energy Ball lets you hit Water and Ground types, revenge killing Frogadiers that haven't changed type (Most of its Protean-changed types are dealt with by the STABs), among others. One shortcoming that makes it sub-par is being walled by Chansey and P2, especially Chansey, so Trick lets it at least cripple these walls. HP Fighting is just coverage for Darks and whatnot, as well as at least denting P2.
