[Overview]

[/COLOR]
  • With empressive all-around stats, Kojofuu makes a great addition to many Little Cup teams.
  • 85 Attack, 55 Special Attack, and 65 Speed mean it's hard to stop Kojofuu.
  • Has U-turn and Regeneration, which make an excellent combo to keep Kojofuu at full HP.

[SET]
name: Choice Scarf
move 1: Hi Jump Kick
move 2: Payback
move 3: Stone Edge
move 4: U-turn
item: Choice Scarf
ability: Regeneration
nature: Adamant / Jolly
evs: 236 Atk / 36 Def / 236 Spe

Set Description:
  • Excellent coverage, Attack, and Speed make for an excellent Choice Scarf set.
  • Hi Jump Kick is the main STAB move with an awesome 130 Base Power.
  • Payback hits Ghost-types.
  • Stone Edge hits Flying-types.
  • U-turn is an excellent scouting move, hurts a lot from 19 Attack, and allows Kojofuu to abuse Regeneration.
Additional Comments:
  • Bounce can be used for super effective coverage against Fighting-type Pokemon.
  • If Hi Jump Kick scares you, Brick Break is an option.
Teammates and Counters:
  • Ghosts can switch into Hi Jump Kick and do major damage to Kojofuu. This can be taken care of by a Pursuiter.
  • Bulky Poison-types don't take a ton of damage from Kojofuu's attacks, but luckily Diglett can take care of those. Any Ground-type can, really.
  • U-turn is an excellent luring tool for Fighting-types counters, so running two Fighters would make for an excellent offensive combo. Mankey in particular looks good, since they both have U-turn.

[SET]
name: Lead
move 1: Fake Out

move 2: Hi Jump Kick / Brick Break
move 3: Payback / Stone Edge
move 4: U-turn
item: Focus Sash / Life Orb / Berry Juice
ability: Inner Focus
nature: Jolly
evs: 236 Atk / 36 Def / 236 Spe

Set Description:
  • Inner Focus stops other Fake Out leads from beating Kojofuu.
  • Fake Out screws over opposing Sash leads, forcing them to use whatever priority they have in the begininng.
  • Hi Jump Kick hits hard, Brick Break is more reliable.
  • Payback hits Ghosts while Stone Edge hits fliers (like Scyther).
  • U-turn lets you get out before fainting against a counter.
Additional Comments:
  • Focus Sash lets Kojofuu survive an attack from the likes of Abra while it U-turns out.
  • Life Orb gives Kojofuu some more power to its attacks, making it far more effective mid-late game.
  • Berry Juice gives Kojofuu more reliability against various Pokemon who are faster and can't OHKO Kojofuu, but have priority.
Teammates and Counters:
  • Depends on item.
  • Focus Sash has problems with other priority leads that use Focus Sash.
  • Life Orb has problems with Abra and other Pokemon who survive Fake Out but OHKO on the following turn or have two fast priority attacks like Focus Sash.
  • Berry Juice loses to similar Pokemon as Life Orb, but has less power and usefulness mid-late game.
  • Pokemon that beat Focus Sash Aipom and Meowth make good partners, so Geodude and other Rock-types are good.
[SET]
name: Calm Mind
move 1:
Calm Mind
move 2: Aura Sphere
move 3: Baton Pass
move 4: Substitute / Hidden Power Rock / Hidden Power Ice
item: Berry Juice / Salac Berry
ability: Regeneration
nature: Timid
evs: 196 Def / 76 SpA / 36 SpD / 196 Spe

Set Description:
  • Weaker Special Attack, but Baton Pass and the ability to set up on Bronzor make this set work.
  • Aura Sphere is for STAB.
  • Baton Pass allows it to pass the boosts to another Pokemon.
  • Substitute helps it manage its HP and block status.
  • Hidden Power Rock OHKOes Bug/Flying-types while Hidden Power Ice hits Gligar
Additional Comments:
  • Can opt to sweep or pass boosts.
  • Hidden Power Ghost can be used to hit Ghosts super effectively, however most Ghosts can't do anything that dangerous to a Calm Mind boosted Kojofuu.
Counters:
  • Fast Pokemon with Taunt or that use physical attacks.
  • Munchlax, if it realizes you're purely special.
  • Wynaut helps give Kojofuu a chance to set up.
  • Something fast with high SpA would make a great recipient. Even something with priority would be good, like Croagunk.
[SET]
name: Bulk Up
move 1: Bulk Up

move 2: Hi Jump Kick / Brick Break
move 3: Stone Edge
move 4: Substitute / Baton Pass
item: Berry Juice / Salac Berry
ability: Regeneration
nature: Jolly
evs: 116 Def / 196 SpD / 196 Spe

Set Description:
  • Sets up on weak physical attacks.
  • Fighting + Rock give great coverage.
  • Baton Pass allows it to pass the boosts to another Pokemon.
  • Substitute helps it manage its HP and block status.
Additional Comments:
  • Can opt to sweep or pass boosts.
  • Payback can be used to hit Ghosts are Psychic-types.
Counters:
  • Fast Pokemon with Taunt or that use special attacks.
  • Wynaut helps give Kojofuu a chance to set up.
  • Something fast with high Attack would make a great recipient. Something with priority is especially good.

[Team Options]

  • Generally, Pursuiters are helpful to take out Ghosts and Psychics.
  • Diglett helps remove bulky Poison-types.
  • Runs good 2 Fighting strategies.
  • Wynaut helps Kojofuu set up and removes other faster Scarfers.
[Optional Changes]

  • A Choice Band set could be useful, but it is too slow to abuse properly.
[Counters]

  • Wynaut traps Kojofuu using the wrong attack.
  • Ghosts set up on Kojofuu's Fighting-type attacks.
  • Slowpoke takes very little from Kojofuu's attacks.
  • Poison-types take little as well.
  • Diglett helps trap Poison types.
  • Pursuters help beat 3/4 counters listed.

Why use Brick Break on the Bulk up set? Drain punch has the same power and accuracy, but heals you, Hi Jump Kick is far more powerful and Low Kick 2.0 lowers the opponents speed.
The same applies for the lead set, Low Kick 2.0 probably would be helpful there.

Edit: remove the Scyther mention.

Yeah, on all the sets bar the lead, Drain Punch is a lot better than Brick Break.

I use it on the scarf set, and Regeneration+Drain Punch makes it last forever.

Which is nice.

Slash Regeneration on the lead set. It has a decently fast Fake Out of its own, and it can Fake Out-->U-turn midgame for free damage and health and scoutery.

Which is nice.

Where's Swords Dance?

Also, I run HP Ice over Payback on the lead set, as Stone Edge hits just as hard as Payback, and surprising/revenging Gligar with it is quite satisfying.
