Rules:
Species Clause: A player cannot have two of the same pokémon on its team.
Item Clause: A player cannot have two of the same items on its team.
Sleep Clause: A player cannot put two or more different opposing Pokémon to sleep using attacks that induce sleep to opposing pokémon.
Evasion Clause: A player cannot increase their Pokémon's evasion stat with a move that specifically increases evasion. Items or indirect boosts, such as abilities, do not break this clause.
OHKO Clause: Players cannot use Horn Drill, Guillotine, Sheer Cold, or Fissure in any of their Pokémon's movesets.
Battle Timeout: If a player exhausts the timer, he/she loses.
No members who are on the Wifi Blacklist in Smogon's Wi-Fi forum may join.
Generation clause: This means you may only use Pokemon that belong to the dex entry of your chosen Gen. For example, a player that has chosen Hoenn cannot have Tyranitar on its team.
Baton Pass Clause: You may only use one Pokemon with Baton Pass per team.
Ubers are banned. For purposes of this tournament, Torrent Greninja and Blaze Blaziken will be allowed. Blazikenite is still banned.
Battles will be at level 50
Single battle format, 6v6.
Format will be single match, double elimination.
You may change teams between each round.
You may not change Generation during the tournament.
Have your FC (friend code) and IGN (in-game name) in your signature.


Rounds will not be extended unless in the case of a substitute.
If the battle is not completed, the more active user will move on.
Post the battle video here in the thread afterwards.

Remember guys this is a single match, double elimination. You only get one match per round but if you lose you have a second chance so use it well. If we complete the matchups faster then we can move on to second round faster as well. Go contact your opponents and don't forget to post the videos here!

So no matter how far we are in the original bracket, we will always have a second chance?

Yes, in order to be eliminated, you'll have to lose twice - hence double elimination. Once you lose once you are sent to the loser's bracket, if you lose your match (any match) on the loser's bracket, you will be eliminated from the tournament. If you click on the brackets link you'll see it more clearly.

I'll ask at the end of tournament if people liked having a loser's bracket as opposed to single elimination. Depending on how fast matches are done in the future this could be also double match (2 out of 3) instead of single.

OK thanks, I've done non pokemon tournaments where if u at least made it to round 2, u don't get a second chance so I just wanted to clear that up.

I need another day or so to get the finishing touches on my kanto team. I know for a fact that it can be finished before the seventh though, so I don't think that'll cause an issue. So yeah, I'll be the replacement.
EDIT: I'll be battle ready by tomorrow.

I guess this means I'm in. As I write this, my team is finished and I'm ready for battle. I sent a message to Pink Floyd as well, so hopefully we'll get something worked out quickly.

I guess I'll just edit my last post so that I don't double post. Anyways, I won my battle against Pink Floyd. The code is ZF5G-WWWW-WW2N-9H5U. GG Floyd. Sorry that it was a bit haxy.

ok guys, Round 2 is on the way! For the people that lost on 1st round remember there is losers bracket so check back next round to see who you are paired up with. Also, you can keep track on the link I provided on the OP. That way you can check how the brackets are done. Good luck all, mods plz lock this one
