[OVERVIEW]
**Dragon**
Strong revenge killer with a choice scarf and great coverage, which allows it to outspeed almost the entire metagame and hit hard with powerful special attacks
Nice check to the many powerful and popular fighting type pokemon such as Mega-medicham, Mega-Lopony, Terrakion and Heracross, and to poison types such as Mega-Venusaur, Gengar, and Nidoking
Can also cripple bulky walls with trick
Psychic typing causes it problems as it is vulnerable to Knock off, U-turn and pursuit trapping from the likes of Bisharp, Tyranitar and Mega Scizor, all of which are extremely common
Stab combination is walled by steel types such as Bisharp and Heatran, making it much tougher to break through them
Weak to Ice-type attacks such as Ice Shard from Weavile and Cloyster, as well as Ice-type coverage on special attackers such as Nidoqueen's Ice Beam and Victini's Glaciate
[SET]

Moves
========
Draco Meteor is the strongest stab move, denting unresistant targets. However, it forces Latios to switch out due to the Special Attack drop.
Psyshock is the secondary stab move that hits pokemon whose defense stat is weaker.
Thunderbolt takes a big chunk out of Flying-types such as Skarmory and Togekiss that resist Draco Meteor, narrowly missing the OHKO without rocks, hits bulkier Water-types like Alomomola and Empolion super effectively as well
Defog can be used as a last-ditch bid to remove entry hazards at the cost of momentum, or after Trick
Energy Ball can dent bulky water types such as Swampert that resist Thunderbolt
Trick is useful for crippling walls by taking Eviolites or Leftovers away from them
Hidden Power Fire can llure Ferrothorn and Mega-Scizor, OHKOing them both after Stealth Rock, but prevents Latios from speed-tying with other scarfed base 110-speed Pokemon.
Set Details
========
Maximum speed with a timid nature and Choice Scarf allow Latios to outspeed the crowded Choice Scarf 108 speed tier, and speed tie with base 110's with a Choice Scarf.Power Fire lowers the
If the speed is not needed, a modest nature can be used for extra power instead.
Levitate is the only available ability, protecting Latios from ground type attacks
Usage Tips
========
Against offensive teams, use Latios as a revenge killer; don't switch it in as it does not take neutral or super effective hits very well
If you don't predict a switch-in, Draco meteor is a safe move to use unless fairies exist
Double-switch out if you predict a steel type to switch in to preserve your momentum as most steel types do not take too much damage from any move Latios carries, barring hidden power Fire. Skarmory does get nailed by Thunderbolt though.
Against defensive teams, Latios works well as a hit and run attacker. It can also use trick to cripple walls that would otherwise have an easy time against it such as Chansey, Porigon2 and ferrothorn. Choice Scarf also takes the sting out of Ferrothorn's Gyro Ball, which does serious damage to many offensive Dragon-types.
Team Options
========
Wallbreakers are necessary to bring opponents into KO range of Latios's attacks. Kyurem-b and Choice band Dragonite are just a couple examples,.
Physical tanks such as Garchomp and bulky Salimance can take hits for Latios, who does not have much room to take chip damage because of all the switching it has to do. Salimance and Garchomp can whittle down enemy health with poison or rough skin damage, respectively. Garchomp is also Dragon's best stealth rock setter, which can help to net KO's.
Defog support from Mega-Latias or Salimance is also nice to have if latios does not run it already, due to the hit and run nature of this set, but is not mandatory.
A slow U-turn from Hydreigon can be used to escort Latios into battle safely.
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
Life orb and choice specs can be used for extra power. Roost is vital on the Life Orb set to keep Latios in top condition in order for it to check the threats it needs to check.
Memento is useful for bringing in a setup sweeper such as Tyrantrum
Latiosite is an unwise option as the 40-point increase to attack is pointless, and Latios hits harder with a life orb anyway.
Earthquake can be used to lure some of Latios's checks such as non-Air Baloon Heatran and Excadrill
Checks and Counters
===================
**Dragon:**
**U-turn and Knock Off: Both of these moves are devastating to latios, even without stab. With a stab bonus, both of them almost always OHKO after stealth rocks.
**Status: Latios can generally shrug off poisons and burns, but paralysis from Klefki or Togekiss stops it from revenge killing. Along with stealth rocks, poison and burn damage can quickly wear Latios down because of switching
**Steel-types: Ferrothorn, Mega-Scizor, and Klefki wall this set. Skarmory can also survive if Latios does not carry Thunderbolt. Ferrothorn does, however, not like being tricked a Choice item.
**Fairy-types: Mega Gardivoir resists any move Latios has and forces it out with the threat of Pixelate Hyper Voice, an easy OHKO. Mega Diancie can check Latios with the threat of Moonblast, but can't switch into Psyshock as it is a 2hko.
