What a time
[OVERVIEW]
**Fire**:
Victini's good Speed and amazing STAB move in V-create turn it into one of the most fearsome Choice Scarf users in the Monotype metagame. To increase Victini's offensive presence, it has access to fantastic coverage moves in Bolt Strike, Glaciate, and Energy Ball and a move to pivot with in U-turn. Defensively, Victini's decent bulk due to its all-around base 100 stats makes it one of the few bulky offensive Pokemon Fire teams have access to. This is only supported by its rare Psychic typing, which lets it switch into Fighting-type attacks from the likes of Mega Medicham and Breloom. However, since V-create lowers Victini's defensive stats and Speed, it is left vulnerable to revenge killers. Victini still suffers from the dreadful weakness to Stealth Rock, which hinders it from effectively pivoting with U-turn and switching in and out due to the stat drops from V-create. Victini is also weak to common moves like Scald, Knock Off, and Sucker Punch. Lastly, Victini's Speed stat puts it in the populated base 100 Speed tier, which creates Speed ties against other Choice Scarf base 100 Speed Pokemon such as Jirachi.

Moves
========
V-create is Victini's strongest STAB move and turns Victini into a wallbreaker. The sheer power of V-create lets Victini OHKO or at least weaken most Pokemon, such as 2HKOing Mew and OHKOing Zapdos after Stealth Rock damage. Bolt Strike is used to KO Flying- and Water-type Pokemon like Gyarados, Togekiss, Keldeo, and Azumarill. Zen Headbutt is Victini's secondary STAB move and allows it to beat Fighting- and Poison-type Pokemon such as Infernape, Terrakion, and Dragalge. Zen Headbutt is also useful for cleaning up late-game, as it does not have any drawbacks, unlike V-create. U-turn lets Victini pivot and gain momentum, and it is also useful to lure in Dark-type Pokemon such as Tyranitar and Hydreigon and then switch out.
Set Details
========
Maximum Speed investment with a Jolly nature and Choice Scarf allows Victini to outspeed Choice Scarf Kyurem-B and Speed tie with other Choice Scarf-using base 100 Speed Pokemon such as Jirachi. Maximum Attack investment allows Victini to maximize the power of its moves. Victory Star is used to increase the accuracy of V-create, Bolt Strike, and Zen Headbutt.
Usage Tips
========
Victini can be used early-game to scout and pivot out with U-turn. Victini functions as an excellent revenge killer due to its Choice Scarf, which lets it outpace and KO most Pokemon that are weak to its STAB moves. V-create turns Victini into a fantastic wallbreaker and can even help Victini break through a few walls due to its sheer power, which lets its teammates clean up later. Against some setup sweepers that boost their Speed, try to switch Victini in as soon as possible. For example, if an opposing Gyarados is allowed to set up Dragon Dance twice, it will outspeed and OHKO Victini. Try to avoid status effects like poison and paralysis, as they can heavily hinder Victini's chances to revenge kill. Even though Victini can function as a wallbreaker, it has a hard time actually switching into walls, as it hates status, and has a more difficult time breaking physical walls such as Hippowdon and Porygon2. Victini can get worn down very easily if Stealth Rock is on the field. This also hinders its ability to U-turn in and out freely, so removing them before bringing in Victini is a must. Due to V-create's stat drops, Victini needs to be careful of locking itself into it. Setup sweepers that resist V-create such as Mega Gyarados and Belly Drum Azumarill can easily take advantage of Victini once it's locked into it. Similarly, you need to be wary of being locked into Bolt Strike, as this gives Ground-types such as Diggersby, Landorus, and Gliscor a free switch in.
Team Options
========
Torkoal is a reliable entry hazard remover for Victini. Torkoal can also set up its own Stealth Rock to deal chip damage throughout the game and acts as a defensive backbone for Victini. Mega Charizard Y is another good entry hazard remover and provides a Ground immunity. Mega Charizard Y works exceptionally well with Victini due to its great offensive stats, which let it take out counters to Victini such as Slowbro and Swampert, and its ability to set up Drought for Victini. Under the sun, Victini turns into an excellent wallbreaker. Volcanion provides a Water immunity and can cripple Pokemon with Steam Eruption burns. Volcanion can also KO and threaten Ground- and Rock-type Pokemon that normally threaten Victini. Victini can U-turn into Volcanion and Mega Charzard Y, both of which take great advantage of being able to break down Victini's switch-ins. Heatran can be used as an alternative Stealth Rock user, cripple defensive Pokemon that wall Victini with Toxic, and also help Victini against Fairy-type Pokemon such as Mega Diancie, Gardevoir, and Togekiss. Rotom-H forms a VoltTurn core with Victini; helps Victini against Flying-type Pokemon like Landorus-T, which would otherwise beat Victini; and provides a Ground immunity. Volcarona works exceptionally well with Victini, as it appreciates Victini's wallbreaking ability to help it clean up easier late-game. On the flip side, Volcarona can take out bulky Psychic- and Dark-types that could wall Victini. Infernape can run a number of roles to better suit Victini. Infernape turns into a fantastic counter to Dark- and Rock-type Pokemon such as Tyranitar, Bisharp, and Cradily with an offensive Life Orb set, while it can also run a more supportive set with Stealth Rock and Taunt to deal with Pokemon that could wall Victini. Infernape also has access to Mach Punch, which lets it pick off threats weakened by Victini. Entei functions as a great wallbreaker and late-game cleaner, threatening Flying- and Fairy-type Pokemon for Victini that beat Victini such as Landorus-T and Diancie. Like Infernape, Entei too has access to a priority move in Extreme Speed.

Other Options
==============
**Fire**:
Victini can run Energy Ball to deal with Rock- and Water-type Pokemon that can otherwise easily wall it, such as Gastrodon, Omastar, and Slowbro. However, Victini prefers running Zen Headbutt because it is a decent STAB attack that hits targets like Terrakion, which Victini can use to clean consistently late-game. Glaciate can be used to threaten Dragon-type Pokemon and lower their Speed; however, with 0 Special Attack investment, it won't deal much damage to most bulky Dragon-types such as Latias, Kyurem-B, and Hydreigon. Trick can be used to cripple walls such as Porygon2, Chansey, and Zapdos. However, Trick will leave Victini with a less useful item than Choice Scarf in most cases. A specially offensive set can be run with Choice Scarf to utilize Victini's fantastic special movepool, but the physical set is much more stronger and acts as a better wallbreaker. Similarly, a Choice Band set can be run to increase its Attack even more but misses out on outspeeding Pokemon such as Keldeo, Weavile, and Terrakion.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Fire**:
**Gastrodon**: Gastrodon's Water / Ground typing allows it to be immune to or resist Victini's attacks barring Zen Headbutt and the rare Energy Ball. Even then, Zen Headbutt does minimal damage and Gastrodon can easily Recover it off.
**Ground-types**: Ground-type Pokemon like Hippowdon and Garchomp easily tank both of Victini's STAB moves and can either stall it out or KO it with their Ground-type STAB move although they need to be cautious of Energy Ball or Glaciate.
**Dragon-types**: Although Dragonite and Garchomp fear Glaciate, most Dragon-types such as Latias, Latios, and Kyurem-B barely take any damage from it. For non-Glaciate sets, all Dragon-types resist V-create and take little damage from Zen Headbutt. Latias can stall Victini out with Roost, while Garchomp and Dragonite can OHKO Victini with Earthquake.
**Rock-types**: Rock-types such as Tyranitar, Terrakion, Aggron, and Mega Diancie can take one hit from Victini and OHKO back with their respective Rock-type move.
**Heatran**: Heatran is immune to V-create and takes little damage from Victini's other moves. It can then Toxic stall Victini, damage it with Earth Power, or set up Stealth Rock.
**Paralysis**: Paralysis hinders Victini's role as a revenge killer and makes it easy to revenge kill instead. Pokemon with paralysis that can take on Victini would include Rotom-W, Lanturn, and Porygon2.
**Entry Hazards**: Entry hazards, especially Stealth Rock, heavily hinder Victini's ability to switch in and out freely with U-turn. Other types of entry hazards such as Spikes and Toxic Spikes reduce Victini's longevity greatly.
**Revenge killers**: Speed and defensive stat drops from V-create make Victini incredibly easy to revenge kill. Pokemon such as Keldeo, Hydreigon, and Landorus outspeed Victini after one V-create, while Choice Scarf Terrakion and Choice Scarf Latios outspeed it anyway. Sucker Punch users such as Bisharp also trouble Victini.
