[OVERVIEW]

Mega Manectric is Electric's fastest pivot, sporting a base 135 Speed stat that lets it outspeed most of the unboosted metagame, including Weavile and Latios, allowing it to gain momentum off of the opponent's switches with Volt Switch. Prior to Mega Evolving, Manectric still has a good base 105 Speed, which lets it outspeed threats such as Garchomp and Landorus along with the highly populated base 100 Speed tier. Mega Manectric also has decent base 135 Special Attack and access to Overheat and Flamethrower, which allow it to deal with Grass-types that could switch into its Electric-type attacks such as Ferrothorn. Before it Mega Evolves, Manectric's ability Lightning Rod allows it to absorb Electric-type moves. Unfortunately, this isn't very beneficial, as the majority of Mega Manectric's teammates are resistant to Electric-type attacks. Mega Manectric gains Intimidate when it Mega Evolves, which it can use to support its teammates by lowering the opposing Pokemon's Attack. However, its main asset is its high Speed, as its Special Attack is too low to break through most walls. Mega Manectric also can’t use Intimidate to its best effect because of poor physical bulk, and it doesn't add any particularly good resistances to Electric-type teams. Using Mega Manectric comes with the price of not using Mega Ampharos, which has a better defensive typing and more Special Attack. Nevertheless, Mega Manectric is still a viable option for offensive Electric teams because of its high Speed and offensive coverage.

[SET]
name: Offensive Pivot
move 1: Volt Switch
move 2: Thunderbolt
move 3: Hidden Power Ice
move 4: Flamethrower / Overheat
item: Manectite
ability: Lightning Rod
nature: Timid
evs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
=======

Volt Switch can be used to pivot out of Mega Manectric's checks as well as gain momentum by forcing switches. Thunderbolt is a secondary STAB move and is stronger than Volt Switch that also doesn't force Mega Manectric to switch. Hidden Power Ice is used to hit Ground- and Dragon-types that resist or are immune to Mega Manectric's other moves, such as Landorus and Dragonite. Flamethrower hits Grass-types such as Breloom harder than Hidden Power Ice. Overheat can be used instead for more power and to OHKO Ferrothorn and Excadrill, but it lowers Mega Manectric's Special Attack, which can force it to switch out.

Set Details
=======

252 Speed EVs and a Timid nature are used to maximize Mega Manectric's Speed to better revenge kill opposing Pokemon. 252 Special Attack EVs are used to hit as hard as possible. Lightning Rod is used prior to Mega Evolving to absorb Electric-type attacks and boost Mega Manectric's Special Attack. Manectite is required to Mega Evolve, which gives Mega Manectric a huge Speed increase and Intimidate, enabling it to outspeed threats such as Mega Diancie and patch up its poor Defense, respectively.

Usage Tips
=======

It is better to Mega Evolve Manectric early-game to gain the Speed increase and force Pokemon such as Keldeo out. Intimidate helps force out frail physical attackers such as Weavile, but bringing Mega Manectric into attacks isn’t a good idea because it has a bad defensive typing and is frail even with Intimidate. However, Mega Manectric can still Intimidate the foe and then use Volt Switch to gain momentum by switching to another Pokemon that can deal with the foe's weakened attacks. Instead of trying to unsuccessfully break through walls, Mega Manectric should use Volt Switch to switch to a teammate that can break through the opposing Pokemon. If the opponent has an Electric immunity, be careful when using STAB attacks because Manectric is unlikely to OHKO most Ground-types with Hidden Power Ice if they switch into an Electric-type attack, and Mega Manectric will be KOed in return. Bringing Mega Manectric in before entry hazards have been removed is generally a bad idea because it will easily get worn down by them and, when combined with constant damage from status, left susceptible to priority such as Weavile's Ice Shard.

Team Options
=======

Mega Manectric forms a great VoltTurn core with most Electric-types. It can apply constant pressure by pivoting into wallbreaking teammates such as Thundurus and Magnezone with Volt Switch. Magnezone is an invaluable teammate because, with Choice Specs, it can break through walls that Mega Manectric cannot and also 2HKOes Mega Venusaur with Flash Cannon. Life Orb Thundurus is a good partner because it can cripple faster threats to Mega Manectric with Prankster Thunder Wave. Thundurus can also use Grass Knot, which hits most Ground-type Pokemon relatively hard, or use a physical set to help beat the Porygon2 plus Chansey core. Thundurus and Mega Manectric can also allow one of them to sweep by the other weakening their similar checks. Zapdos is a great partner for Mega Manectric because it is bulky enough to take attacks that are directed at Mega Manectric, especially after Intimidate. Zapdos is immune to Ground-type moves, can Defog the entry hazards that would chip away at it and can spread status with Toxic, which can break walls Mega Manectric can't such as Gastrodon. Rotom-W has Levitate and can use its STAB Hydro Pump to deal with Ground-type Pokemon that would threaten Mega Manectric, as well as spread burns with Will-O-Wisp while greatly appreciating Mega Manectric's Intimidate. Eelektross has Levitate and is a physical attacker with access to Knock Off and Drain Punch, allowing it to pressure Porygon2 and Chansey.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Mega Manectric doesn’t have a wide movepool; its common set runs almost all of the coverage it has. Hidden Power Grass can be used over Hidden Power Ice to 2HKO physically defensive Gastrodon and sometimes OHKO non-Assault Vest variants of Seismitoad, but then Mega Manectric is completely walled by Dragon-types. Protect is also an option to let Mega Manectric safely gain Speed on the turn that it Mega Evolves, but then it can't use either Thunderbolt or Volt Switch, so it's usually not worth it.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Mega Manectric is unable to break through most of the tier's specially defensive walls such as Zapdos and Clefable, and the latter can set up on it with Calm Mind.

**Chansey**: Chansey can recover health with Soft-Boiled and wear down Mega Manectric with Toxic and Seismic Toss while taking minimal damage due to its unmatched special bulk.

**Mega Venusaur**: Mega Venusaur takes little damage from all of Mega Manectric's moves because of Thick Fat and can recover its health with Synthesis.

**Lanturn**: Because of its Water typing and Volt Absorb, Lanturn is able to safely switch into all of Mega Manectric's attacks.

**Revenge Killers and Choice Scarf Users**: Mega Manectric is susceptible to being revenge killed by faster Pokemon, such as Choice Scarf Excadrill.

**Ground-type Pokemon**: Most Ground-type Pokemon such as Hippowdon, and Mamoswine, check Mega Manectric because they are immune to its STAB moves and can KO it with their Ground-type STAB attacks.

**Residual Damage**: Residual damage from poison, burns, and entry hazards tends to stack up when Mega Manectric uses Volt Switch often, making it easier for priority users to pick it off.

**Dragon-type Pokemon**: Most Dragon-type Pokemon resist Electric- and Fire-type moves, aren't OHKOed or 2HKOed by Hidden Power Ice, and can OHKO Mega Manectric in return.

Banned deucer.
[OVERVIEW]
  • Give examples of notable Pokemon it outspeeds.
  • Name Grass-types that Flamethrower and Overheat target.
  • Give details about is abilities, explain what they do.
  • "Its main asset is its high speed, as its Special Attack is too low to wallbreak effectively." You have this line twice.
Moves
  • Name a few Pokemon that Hidden Power Ice hits.
  • Again, need examples for Flamethrower targets.
Set Details
  • I'd put the Speed and Special Attack investments in separate sentences. The way you wrote it sounds a bit lazy.
  • Talk about Manectite. Say how it gives Manectric a big boost in Speed and talk about relevant Pokemon it outspeeds base 110 Speed Pokemon such as Mega Diancie etc.
Usage Tips
  • Give examples for Pokemon that Mega Manectric forces out.
  • List a few priority moves that Mega Manectric doesn't appreciate.
  • Mention how hazards can wear down Mega Manectric, so bringing it in before Defogging should be avoided if possible.
  • Also mention status and how it cripples Mega Manectric's longevity.
Team Options
  • Mention how Zapdos can use Toxic to wear down walls that Mega Manectric can't break. List a few examples.
  • Talk about Rotom-W's ability to spread burns with Will-O-Wisp, also wearing down walls for Mega Manectric.
  • Point out how Eelektross has access to Knock Off and Drain Punch to threaten Chansey and Porygon2 which are huge threats to Electric-type teams.
  • Don't say Choice Band Thundurus. A Life Orb variant of Thundurus is also considered a wallbreaker and is more common than Choice Band.
  • Talk more about Thundurus and its ability to spread paralysis with Prankser Thunder Wave. Also mention its access to Grass Knot which is very useful coverage for Electric-type teams.
Other Options
  • Don't talk about Magnezone, just say that Hidden Power Grass is inferior coverage compared to Hidden Power Ice.
  • Put Protect here as it can be useful for getting off a safe Mega Evolution or scouting choice-locked Pokemon. Mention how it has to give up Volt Switch or Thunderbolt in order to run Protect so it's usually not worth it.
Checks and Counters
  • Rename "Entry Hazards and Status" to "Residual damage".
  • Give a few examples of priority moves.
  • List a few Ground-types that threaten Mega Manectric.
  • What move can Chansey use to restore its health? Talk more about how it can easily tank Mega Manectric's hits thanks to its unmatched special bulk.
  • "Setup Pokemon" seems like an unfitting title as not all setup sweepers check Mega Manectric. Rename it to "Bulky Pokemon" as Clefable doesn't need Calm Mind to beat Mega Manectric and max HP Volcarona doesn't get 2HKOed by Thunderbolt. I'd replace Volcarona with something more fitting, though, such as Cradily or Zapdos.
  • Give Mega Venusaur its own section since it completely walls Mega Manectric.
  • Make a section for revenge killers and Choice Scarf users.
  • Give Lanturn a mention since it effectively walls Mega Manectric.
  • Make a section for Dragon-types as they resist Mega Manectric's STAB attacks and Fire-type moves. Most Dragon-types such as Latios don't get 2HKOed by Mega Manectric's Hidden Power Ice and can OHKO it in return.
After implementation, QC 1/3.

The writing and grammar needs work. I recommend going over the Spelling and Grammar Standards or checking out analyses from good writers such as Eien and Zarif.

implemented, except for outspeeding scarf 80's which isnt true

Overview
- Mention that Mega Manectric's quick Volt Switch is very useful for gaining momentum in a match
- Add that Manectric is a little slow before it Mega Evolves
- Add that, although Manectric isn't bulky at all, Intimidate does provide a useful cushion for many attacks and allows Manectric to support its teammates

Moves
- Add that Hidden Power Ice also hits Dragon-types, specifically Dragonite

Set Details
- Don't forget to mention Mega Manectric's Intimidate here. It just helps patch up Mega Manectric's average bulk.

Usage Tips
- Add how to best utilize Mega Manectric's Intimidate; yes, it won't rely Intimidate itself, but it still provides a good cushion. Intimidate is also very useful on Mega Manectric because it allows it to support its team well. Being able to Intimidate the foe, Volt Switch out quickly, and then bring in the appropriate partner, is useful in some situations
- Mega Manectric isn't particularly weak to priority moves; it only fears priority if it is severely worn down by hazards and other forms of damage though. So instead, just say that Mega Manectric can be worn down by hazards pretty easily if you aren't careful and use Volt Switch frequently, then can be taken out by priority.

Team Options
- Add that defensive partners like Zapdos and Rotom-W appreciate Mega Manectric's Intimidate
- Mention that Thundurus, like Eelektross, can also use physical sets to beat special walls like Chansey and P2. It also shares a few of the same checks as Manectric, so it can wear them down nicely.
- Also give Magnezone a mention; it helps break through bulky Grass- and Dragon-types that Mega Manectric has trouble with sometimes, like Latias or Mega Venusaur

Other Options
- Looks good

Checks and Counters
- Mix the "Specially Defensive Pokemon" and "Bulky Pokemon" section; they seem redundant together.
- Remove the "priority" section; I don't see priority as something that Mega Manectric particularly dreads. Move this info into the "Residual Damage" section by saying that residual and entry hazard damage tends to stack up when Mega Manectric using Volt Switch often, making it easier for priority users to pick it off. I'd think of residual damage being the real problem for Mega Manectric in this case instead of priority directly, most of which is weakened by Mega Manectric's Intimidate anyways.

Implemented, will convert to sentences soon

Overview:
- Lightning Rod is kind of useless because Manectric is on an Electric team.
- 105 Speed isn't what I'd call slow. It outspeeds the populated base 100 Speed tier, including big threats such as Mega Charizard Y and Mega Medicham, and beats both Garchomp and Landorus.
- You say Mega Ampharos has a better movepool, but then you say Mega Manectric is used for its coverage. This feels a bit conflicting?

Set:
- Mega Manectric is a pivot that relies heavily on Volt Switch. It should be first.

name: Offensive Pivot
move 1: Volt Switch
move 2: Thunderbolt
move 3: Hidden Power Ice
move 4: Flamethrower / Overheat
item: Manectite
ability: Lightning Rod
nature: Timid
evs: 252 Spa / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

Moves:
- Switch order of Volt Switch and Thunderbolt to reflect the ordering in the set.
- Need more detail for Thunderbolt. You could just add that it's more powerful than Volt Switch
- Talk about Volt Switch helping Mega Manectric pivot out of its checks. Mention that because Mega Manectric can force switches, that's how Volt Switch keeps momentum up.
- Specifically name Ground- and Dragon-types for Hidden Power Ice.

Usage Tips:
- Keldeo isn't forced out by Intimidate, which is sort of how this sentence reads. Maybe add something like Weavile?
- Definitely bring up that Mega Manectric can't stay in against walls, as its lack of power leaves it incapable of dealing meaningful damage. Instead, it should Volt Switch to an appropriate check.

Team Options:
- Rotom-C is really bad on Electric, don't mention it.
- Not every Magnezone uses Choice Specs, you need to specify that.
- I'd mention that Mega Manectric forms a very powerful Volt Switch core with most of those Electric-types. In particular, it can bring Magnezone or Thundurus in as the opponent switches to a wall.

This reads very fragmented. It's like every sentence abruptly stops and a new idea comes next. Try to make the lines flow together and lead into one another. Something like mentioning in the Overview that its Speed helps it use Volt Switch right after you talk about how fast it is.

Other than that, well done, QC 3/3

Volt Switch is a STAB attack and is the most important move because it is can be used to pivot out of its Mega Manectric's checks as well as gaining gain momentum by forcing switches. Thunderbolt is a secondary STAB move and is stronger than Volt Switch. Hidden Power Ice is used to hit Ground- and Dragon-types that are immune to or resist Electric- and Fire-type moves (This feels a little weird because you don't reference Fire-type moves until afterwards, so a reader might not understand why resisting Fire-type moves is relevant. Maybe this should be changed to "...Ground- and Dragon-types that are immune to or resist Mega Manectric's moves..."?), such as Landorus and Dragonite. Flamethrower hits Grass-types such as Breloom harder than Hidden Power Ice does. Overheat can be used for more power and to OHKO Ferrothorn and Excadrill, (AC) but it lowers Mega Manectric’s Special Attack.

It while also greatly appreciates appreciating Mega Manectric's Intimidate. Eelektross has Levitate and is a physical attacker with access to Knock Off and Drain Punch, allowing it to pressure Porygon2 and Chansey.

[OTHER OPTIONS]
=======

Mega Manectric doesn’t really have a wide movepool, (AC) as its common (Consider removing if there's only one set?) sets (Does it have more sets than listed above?) runs almost all of the coverage it has. Hidden Power Grass can be used over Hidden Power Ice, (RC) which to 2HKOs physically defensive Gastrodon and sometimes has a chance to OHKO non-Assault Vest variants of Seismitoad, but then it Mega Manectric is completely walled by Dragon-types. Protect is also an option to let it Mega Manectric safely gain Speed on the turn that it Mega Evolves, but then it can't use either Thunderbolt or Volt Switch, so it's usually not worth it.

[CHECKS AND COUNTERS]
=======
**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Mega Manectric is unable to break through most of the tier’s specially defensive walls such as Zapdos and Clefable, and the latter can set up on it with Calm Mind.

**Chansey**: Chansey can recover health with Soft-Boiled and wear down Mega Manectric with Toxic and Seismic Toss while taking minimal damage due to its unmatched special bulk and wear it down with Toxic and Seismic Toss.

**Mega Venusaur**: Mega Venusaur has takes little damage from all of Mega Manectric's moves because of Thick Fat and can recover its health with Synthesis.

**Lanturn**: Because of its Water typing and Volt Absorb, Lanturn is able to safely switch into all of Mega Manectric's attacks because of its Water-typing and Volt Absorb.

**Revenge Killers and Choice Scarf users**: Mega Manectric is susceptible to being easily revenge killed by faster Pokemon, such as Choice Scarf Excadrill.

**Ground-type Pokemon**: Most defensive and offensive Ground-type Pokemon such as Hippowdon and Mamoswinecheck Mamoswine check Mega Manectric because they are immune to its STAB moves and can KO it with their Ground-type STAB attacks.

**Residual Damage**: Residual damage from poisons, burns, and entry hazards damage tends to stack up when Mega Manectric using uses Volt Switch often, making it easier for priority users to pick it off.

**Dragon-type Pokemon**: Most Dragon-type Pokemon resist Electric- and Fire-type moves, (AC) and aren't OHKO'd OHKOed or 2HKO'd 2HKOed by Hidden Power Ice, and can OHKO it Mega Manectric in return.[/quote]

edit:
I accidentally wrote Water Absorb instead of Volt Absorb for Lanturn in Checks and Counters, sorry!

We talked about this on Showdown to make sure it still means what you want, so adding this change in Team Options:
"Thundurus has similar checks to Mega Manectric, and one can weaken them while allowing the other to sweep."

"Thundurus and Mega Manectric can allow the other to sweep by weakening their similar checks."

[OVERVIEW]

Mega Manectric is Electric's (fix apostrophe) fastest pivot, sporting a base 135 Speed, (AC) which lets it outspeed most of the unboosted metagame including such as Weavile and Latios, allowing it to gain momentum off of switches with Volt Switch. Prior to Mega Evolving, Manectric still has a good base 105 Speed, which lets it outspeed threats such as Garchomp and Landorus along with the highly populated base 100 Speed tier. It Mega Manectric also has a decent base 135 Special Attack and access to Overheat and Flamethrower, (AC) which allow Mega Manectric it to deal with Grass-types that could switch into its Electric-type attacks, such as Ferrothorn. Before it Mega Evolves, It Manectric's has the ability Lightning Rod prior to Mega Evolving, which (optional, reason is repetitive sentence structure but I wish I could come up with something more elegant) allows it to absorb Electric-type moves. Unfortunately, this isn't very beneficial, (AC) as the majority of Electric-types are resistant to Electric-type attacks. Mega Manectric gains Intimidate when it Mega Evolves, which it can use to support its teammates by lowering an opposing Pokemon's Attack. However, its main asset is its high Speed, as its Special Attack is too low to break through most walls. Mega Manectric also can't (fix apostrophe) use Intimidate to its best effect because of its poor physical bulk, and it doesn't add any particularly good resistances to Electric-type teams. Using Mega Manectric comes with the price of not using Mega Ampharos, which has a better defensive typing and more Special Attack. Nevertheless, Mega Manectric is still a viable option for offensive Electric-type teams because of its high Speed and offensive coverage.

Moves
=======

Volt Switch is a STAB attack and is the most important move because it is (fluff) can be used to pivot out of its Mega Manectric's checks as well as gaining gain momentum by forcing switches. Maybe this should be changed to "...Ground- and Dragon-types that are immune to or resist Mega Manectric's moves..."?), ("_other_ moves" but yeah sure) such as Landorus and Dragonite. Flamethrower hits Grass-types such as Breloom harder than Hidden Power Ice does. Overheat can be used for more power and to OHKO Ferrothorn and Excadrill, (AC) but it lowers Mega Manectric's (apo) Special Attack. (add why this is a bad thing)

SET DETAILS (lowercase all these)
=======

252 Speed EVs and a Timid nature is are used to maximize its Mega Manectric's Speed and to be able to revenge kill opposing Pokemon better. 252 Special Attack EVs are used to hit as hard as possible. Lightning Rod is used prior to Mega Evolving to absorb Electric-type attacks and boost its Mega Manectric's Special Attack. Intimidate is used to support Mega Manectric's teammates and patch up its poor Defense. Manectite is required to Mega Evolve, which gives Mega Manectric a huge Speed increase, enabling it to outspeed threats such as Mega Diancie.

USAGE TIPS
=======

It is better to Mega Evolve Manectric early-game to gain the Speed increase and force Pokemon such as Keldeo out. Intimidate helps force out frail physical attackers such as Weavile, but bringing Mega Manectric into attacks isn't (apo) a good idea because, (AC) even with Intimidate, (AC) it has a bad defensive typing and is frail. However, Mega Manectric can still utilize Intimidate by Intimidating the foe and then using use Volt Switch and to gain momentum by switching to another Pokemon that can deal with the foe's weakened attacks. Instead of trying to unsuccessfully break through walls, Mega Manectric should use Volt Switch should be used to switch to a teammate that can break through the opposing Pokemon. If the opponent has an Electric immunity, be careful when using STAB attacks because Manectric is unlikely to OHKO most Ground types with Hidden Power Ice if they switch into the an Electric type Electric-type attack, and Mega Manectric will be KOed in return by opposing Ground-type STAB. Bringing Mega Manectric in before entry hazards have been removed is generally a bad idea because it will easily get worn down by them, (RC) and, (AC) when combined with constant damage from status, (AC) moves it leaves it left susceptible to priority such as Weavile's Ice Shard.

TEAM OPTIONS
=======

By itself, Mega Manectric forms a great VoltTurn core with most Electric-types. It can apply constant pressure by pivoting into wallbreaking teammates such as Thundurus and Magnezone with Volt Switch. Magnezone is an invaluable teammate because, (AC) with Choice Specs, (AC) it can break through walls that Mega Manectric cannot, (RC) and also 2HKOes Mega Venusaur with Flash Cannon. Life Orb Thundurus is a good partner because it can cripple faster threats to Mega Manectric with Prankster Thunder Wave; (Add Semicolon) as well as having access to use Grass Knot, which hits most Ground-type Pokemon relatively hard; (Add Semicolon) or use a physical set to help beat the Porygon2 + (plus is better) Chansey core. Thundurus has similar checks to Mega Manectric, and one can weaken them while allowing the other to sweep. Thundurus and Mega Manectric can also allow the other to sweep by weakening their similar checks. It can also use a physical set to help beat the Porygon2 and Chansey core. Zapdos is a great partner for Mega Manectric because it is bulky enough to take attacks that are directed at Mega Manectric, especially after Intimidate; (Add Semicolon), (RC) is immune to Ground-type moves; (Add Semicolon), (RC) and can Defog away the entry hazards that would chip away at it; (Add Semicolon) . It and can also spread status with Toxic, which can break walls Mega Manectric can't, such as Gastrodon. Rotom-Wash has Levitate and can use its Water-type STAB Hydro Pump (assuming HP Water is not a thing this works since it's Rotom-W yeah, but it was fine as is) to deal with Ground-type Pokemon that would threaten Mega Manectric, as well as spreading burns with Will-O-Wisp. It while also greatly appreciates appreciating Mega Manectric's Intimidate. Eelektross has Levitate and is a physical attacker with access to Knock Off and Drain Punch, allowing it to pressure Porygon2 and Chansey.

OTHER OPTIONS (remove brackets)
=======

CHECKS AND COUNTERS (same)
=======
**Specially Defensive Pokemon**: Mega Manectric is unable to break through most of the tier's (apo) specially defensive walls such as Zapdos and Clefable, and the latter can set up on it with Calm Mind.

**Lanturn**: Because of its Water typing and Volt Absorb, Lanturn is able to safely switch into all of Mega Manectric's attacks because of its Water-typing and Volt Absorb.

it's just kinda poor form since you're regurgitating dex info rather than describing relevant battle scenarios, something quick like "usually forcing it out" or "potentially making it setup fodder" should do

(Mega Mane doesn't have a choice about running it) Manectite is required to Mega Evolve, which gives Mega Manectric a huge Speed increase and Intimidate, enabling it to outspeed threats such as Mega Diancie and patch up its poor Defense.

Usage Tips
=======
It is better to Mega Evolve Manectric early-game to gain the Speed increase and force Pokemon such as Keldeo out. Intimidate helps force out frail physical attackers such as Weavile, but bringing Mega Manectric into attacks isn’t a good idea because, (comma) even with Intimidate, (comma) it has a bad defensive typing and is frail even with Intimidate.

Mega Manectric forms a great VoltTurn core with most Electric-types. It can apply constant pressure by pivoting into wallbreaking teammates such as Thundurus and Magnezone with Volt Switch. Magnezone is an invaluable teammate because, with Choice Specs, it can break through walls that Mega Manectric cannot and also 2HKOes Mega Venusaur with Flash Cannon. Life Orb Thundurus is a good partner because it can cripple faster threats to Mega Manectric with Prankster Thunder Wave.(end sentence);(remove semicolon)Thundurus can also use Grass Knot, which hits most Ground-type Pokemon relatively hard;(remove semicolon),(AC) or use a physical set to help beat the Porygon2 and Chansey core. (the whole semicolon list thing was weird. I just made it two sentences) Thundurus and Mega Manectric can also allow the other one of them to sweep by the other weakening their similar checks. Zapdos is a great partner for Mega Manectric because it is bulky enough to take attacks that are directed at Mega Manectric, especially after Intimidate.(end sentence);(remove semicolon) Zapdos is immune to Ground-type moves;(remove semicolon),(AC) can Defog the entry hazards that would chip away at it;(remove semicolon),(AC)(same as before) and can spread status with Toxic, which can break walls Mega Manectric can't, (comma) such as Gastrodon.

OTHER OPTIONS
=======
Mega Manectric doesn’t really have a wide movepool,; (comma) (semicolon) as its common set runs almost all of the coverage it has.

[CHECKS AND COUNTERS]
=======

**Lanturn**: Because of its Water-(hyphen)typing and Volt Absorb, Lanturn is able to safely switch into all of Mega Manectric's attacks.

**Revenge Killers and Choice Scarf users Users**: Mega Manectric is susceptible to being revenge killed by faster Pokemon, such as Choice Scarf Excadrill.

**Ground-type Pokemon**: Most Ground-type Pokemon,(AC) such as Hippowdon and Mamoswine,(AC) check Mega Manectric because they are immune to its STAB moves and can KO it with their Ground-type STAB attacks.

[OVERVIEW]

Mega Manectric is Electric's fastest pivot, sporting a base 135 Speed stat, (comma) which that lets it outspeed most of the unboosted metagame,(AC) including Weavile and Latios, allowing it to gain momentum off of the opponent's switches with Volt Switch. Prior to Mega Evolving, Manectric still has a good base 105 Speed, which lets it outspeed threats such as Garchomp and Landorus along with the highly populated base 100 Speed tier. Mega Manectric also has a decent base 135 Special Attack and access to Overheat and Flamethrower, which allow it to deal with Grass-types that could switch into its Electric-type attacks, (comma) such as Ferrothorn. Before it Mega Evolves, Manectric's ability Lightning Rod allows it to absorb Electric-type moves. Unfortunately, this isn't very beneficial, as the majority of Electric-types are resistant to Electric-type attacks. (This needs clarification. Do you mean it's not useful because Manectric would resist the moves anyway, or because Electric-types resist Manectric's STAB?) Mega Manectric gains Intimidate when it Mega Evolves, which it can use to support its teammates by lowering an the opposing Pokemon's Attack. However, its main asset is its high Speed, as its Special Attack is too low to break through most walls. Mega Manectric also can’t use Intimidate to its best effect because of its poor physical bulk, and it doesn't add any particularly good resistances to Electric-type teams. Using Mega Manectric comes with the price of not using Mega Ampharos, which has a better defensive typing and more Special Attack. Nevertheless, Mega Manectric is still a viable option for offensive Electric teams because of its high Speed and offensive coverage.

Moves
=======
Volt Switch can be used to pivot out of Mega Manectric's checks as well as gain momentum by forcing switches. Thunderbolt is a secondary STAB move and is stronger than Volt Switch (that's it?) (mentioning that it's a STAB move that doesn't force Mane out would be nice). Hidden Power Ice is used to hit Ground- and Dragon-types that resist or are immune to Mega Manectric's other moves,(AC) such as Landorus and Dragonite. Flamethrower hits Grass-types such as Breloom harder than Hidden Power Ice does. Overheat can be used instead (subjective but I like it) (so do I) for more power and to OHKO Ferrothorn and Excadrill, but it lowers Mega Manectric's Special Attack.

Set Details
=======
252 Speed EVs and a Timid nature are used to maximize Mega Manectric's Speed to be able to better revenge kill opposing Pokemon better. (the original sentence comes off as too pedestrian to me) 252 Special Attack EVs are used to hit as hard as possible. Lightning Rod is used prior to Mega Evolving to absorb Electric-type attacks and boost Mega Manectric's Special Attack. Intimidate is used to support Mega Manectric's teammates and patch up its poor Defense. (Mega Mane doesn't have a choice about running it) Manectite is required to Mega Evolve, which gives Mega Manectric a huge Speed increase and Intimidate, enabling it to outspeed threats such as Mega Diancie and patch up its poor Defense.
