Project Monotype Teambuilding Competition V3.2 [index]

Balance flying w/ Celesteela

Nothing too creative just a standard balance psychic team that uses celesteela.

Togekiss - A part of the teams speed control that comes with handy coverage moves in flamethrower, air slash, and dazzling gleam. Trick allows it to help break the normal eviolite core a little or to take away a prized item from the opponent.

Celesteela
- The main defensive tank on this team, takes many physical hits thanks to its typing and stats. The leech seed + protect combo will successfully stall foes and force some to switch out because of celesteela's hard hitting (in terms of BP anyway) heavy slam and fire blast for coverage.

Charizard-Y
- The staple special attacker of the team, what it lacks in speed it makes up for in wall breaking power. Nothing too different about this set, due to the nature of this team I decided that roost would be a better option over defog since there are other defoggers on the team anyway.

Skarmory
- Our main rock setter and setup canceler. With its also high defense, skarmory can setup rocks and sustain itself with roost to make sure they stay up. Due to skamory not being the only physical tank here, i decided that using rocky helmet over leftovers would be ideal as it will help skarmory stop injured spinners from clearing rocks.

Mantine
- The main specially defensive tank on the team. Sports as the only defogger as well and also is not running haze as skarmory already has whirlwind. Besides that this is just standard mantine.

Landorus-T
- The electric immunity and physical speed control of the team. Thanks to Lando's high attack it can usually clear many grounded threats with its powerful STAB earthquake. I deicded to use scarf over setup because of the knock off utility and helping more with the psychic and dark matchups with u-turn pivoting.

So I built this team with Celesteela and Mega Aerodactyl in mind since they both have amazing synergy. Celesteela on the team is seen with a stall breaker set that is also used to check threats like nihilego. Mega Aerodactyl is the speed control of the team thanks to its high base speed. I opted for an all out attckaer offense set with pursuit to take out Pokemon such as Victini which can otherwise be a trouble due to its wall breaking prowess. Next up I added Landorus to improve match up vs steel since the team is using Mega Aerodactyl. I have Landorus stealth Rock to compress roles and it forces switches so that goes well. Next I added Tornadus-T with its wall breaker set and knock off support which helps vs normal type teams. Mantine is the defogger of the team and a secondary check to Greninja which is a huge threat to flying mono teams. Gliscor was added to improve match up vs stall and normal teams with its classic stall breaker set. Hope you enjoy this team. Thank you.

This is a really fun squad thats totally out of the ordinary. In OU people have been abusing terrain+seed lucha to automatically get the unburden boost and it thought that its actually fire, so I went around building a squad for Monotype with this idea. This is the only type where hawlucha can access terrain and only through a niche setter. Jumpluff puts mons to sleep, sets up terrain, spams leech seed and when its time for Hawlucha to clean it can z memento in Hawlucha making the setup easier. Naturally this tea, doesnt really struggle against Steel so I replaced Flamethrower on Celesteela for Giga Drain which would help me take out annoying Ground and Water's. Then Zapdos defogs and spreads Toxic, enough speed to outpace 295, aka Vincune and Nidoking and is a nice pivot for the team. I could have used Mega Char Y but I needed to role compress to I went with Mega Aero as my rocks setter and it doubles as a Pursuit trapper for hawlucha weakening potential switchins. hf with my flames.

This is the team I used to make MLT. We have Aerodactyl as our lead and Stealth Rocker, that provides additional team support with Tailwind. Mega Charizard Y serves as a wallbreaker that can use Sun to extinguish Rain and Sand, evening out those matchups with its own Sun. Landorous Therian is our Scarfer and physical pivot, and can switch into and revenge kill many Electric type Pokemon. Dragonite is our physical wallbreaker, with a Choice Band to pound through bulky teams such as Normal that may give this team trouble, and can also act as a revenge killed with ExtreemeSpeed. Thundurus Therian is our special Scarfer and pivot, and can outspeed base 100s at +1 which is really nice. HP Ice can be used to hit Ground types and ThunderBolt/Volt Switch can be used to deal damage/pivot. Celesteela can set up on many Pokemon, as it does not have a Stealth Rock weakness and can easily get 1 or 2 autotomizes under its belt, and can even use its natural physical bulk to check things such as Scizor. Flyinum Z is used if Celesteela needs that extra push to knock out a certain threat and to keep the snowball of beast boost going.

Overview
This is a a team around Mega Latias and Naganadel, two very threatening set up sweepers. Mega Latias drastically improves the normal match up since stored power set with refresh can sweep a normal mono type team which is otherwise a bad match up for Dragons. Naganadel is the other set up sweeper on the team with its threatening nasty plot set that can steam roll teams very easily with a +2 nuke thanks to Dragonium Z. The team has Garchomp as the offrnsive stealth Rock setter with focus sash to ensure it gets up rock , Dragonite as wall breaker and to abuse powerful extremespeed which is handy to clean late game and pick off faster threats. kyurem-Black is the mixed wall breaker with life orb and Roost ,breaking walls along with Dragonite. Finally the team has scarf Latios as a speed control with defog to clear off hazards which may hinder Dragonite and kyurem-Black on the team,it also has memento as a last resort to help set up sweepers on the team.

Overview
I wanted to showcase Kommo O z moveset with this team,it's an Omni boost set which acts as a good Cleaner/Wall breaker after Z move.
Added Cobalion on the team for general utility support such as Stealth rock and thunder wave. Terrakion is the speed control of the team able to kill threats such as Blacephalon,Mega Daincie and Tapu Koko. Keldeo is the special wall breaker of the team sporting a choice specs set which allows it to hit hard weakening walls.
Gallade mega is a good swords dance sweeper that also pressures mono poison teams and is able to break open the defensive core vs Mono poison teams.
Lastly I added scrafty because I didn't wanted the team to be revenge killed everytime scarf Latios comes in and it puts in work vs psychic match up well.

Everything is pretty self explanatory, Kommo goes for coverage to hit almost everything. Also soundproof is to make sure that Ditto doesn't pose a threat if it copies Kommo's stat boosts amd now it can 1v1 other Kommo easily. Then Breloom uses Jolly over Adamant because I wanted it to be faster due to it not having a sash and Jolly being able to outspeed Adamant Diggersby. Also Terrakion's pjab is to hit Tapu Bulu and it can outspeed all non Jolly variants of Mega altaria at +2 and can poison it.
