Seed I'm trying to hit fb100958 2009 11 14 16:57:40

Some results

16:57:34 2380
16:57:36 2362
16:57:34 2307
16:57:36 2446
16:57:31 2352
Okay. If you're aiming for 2009 11 14 16:57:40, and you keep landing on :34, then you need to pick a new date\time that allows you to hit your target seed but with those seconds. Like 2009 11 15 16:52:34. Are you doing this?

Also, I should point out that Emloop time is not the same as the delay time. For instance, to hit delay 639 with my flash cart Platinum, I had to set the time to 1038 in Emloop. You get similar discrepancies with real carts as well - for my copy of Soul silver, I needed 895 to hit delay 695.

Third, I highly recommend not using Start+Select+L+R. You get a more consistent seconds when you start from the main menu.

Right and this is now the crucial point that I'm trying to make. I'll choose 16:52:34 (actually I have lol), and the seconds will go down to 16:52:26. And it keeps happening over and over again. Also, I can't adjust the delay time until I get this right first, because it's so frustrating.

Okay.

What is the exact output you're getting from Wichu's program, for the seeds you landed on? From the CSV, I mean?

I meant the ones you landed on. How do you know you landed on 16:52:26?

Oh I don't keep record of those. I use the search flips thing to find what seed I landed on. If you want, I can do some test tries and then save them to csv.

That would be preferable. You might not even be in the correct delay range; you could get the same first 10 coin flips with a completely different delay.

Anyway, I'm modifying the RNG Reporter Seed Finder to scan for high delays, so working with them will be easier. I have to run out for an errand right now, though.

So there's a possibility I can't even hit what I'm trying to achieve? I thought anyone could hit a high delay regardless of number. I guess everyone is different lol. So when you do that, I should have a better idea of what I can do?

It's not that you can't hit the seed, it's just that because you don't know they delay range you're actually hitting, coin flips are not an accurate way of verifying your seed. Because you could actually be hitting delay 2058, and getting a HTTTHTTHTH pattern that by sheer coincidence matches delay 2380, 4 seconds off or whatever it is. If you're searching a wider set of delays and seconds, the odds of this happening increases.

So you need to plug IVs into Wichu's program, or use the (modified) Seed Finder.

heres a interesting question. is it possible to RNG the stats for a pokemon you trade ingame??? like the beldum i can trade with the NPC in silph co. how do i RNG the stats of the beldum im gonna get??
Im pretty sure the IVs are the exact same as the poke you trade to them. So if you have a 31/31/31/31/31/31 poke and you trade it to the NPC, the beldum should have the exact same IVs, and nature as well. I remember this happening with 3rd gen games, im not sure if its the same for the 4th gen.

I know from experience that it doesn't work for Gaspar the Haunter you get in DPPt.

Might be a dumb question but, when RNG Breeding for IV's is it recommended to do your coin flips? And if you do wont the NPC's in the Area advance the Frame? Or do you just collect the egg hoping you hit your delay?

First, collect the egg.

Then do coin flips to verify your seed. If it's the right one, hatch it to check if you hit the right frame. If not, try again.

There are two RNGs: one regular one, and one used for egg natures and coin flips. Both use the same seed. So if you know what your seed is in one, you know what it is in the other.

Ok so do your Journal Flips, Collect the egg and then do coin flips to see if got it?

@PokeTroopa: Yes. Just make sure that you save before picking up the egg, but after it's made so that it will still be there when you begin to abuse for the IVs.

Whaten De FuurK??? What on earth could cause my Delays to switch back and forth between even and odd?!?!?!?! Plus it's varying waaaaay more than normal. Normally I hit my delay 2/3 or 2/5 times in that area.

I'm not inserting any GBA game?!?! Plus, my taps are being "decently" consistent. I'm looking through the list of coinflips to find my delay.

Well I was told to go out into grass and catch a pokemon, then use emloop with the same delay of 2383, and input that into the seed finder using stats. This is what I got from an Illumise in the resort area:

Type Seed Seconds Delay
Initial 6100497 51 1166

Okay... try that in the Seed Finder, except search by IVs, not stats. Searching by IVs lets you search through the higher delays, I just discovered.

Ah. I was wondering because I caught 5 pokemon in the resort area, and none of them gave me a reasonable seed. If that's the reason, then if I catch another pokemon, could you give me an iv battle (sorry if can't ask because of circumstance), because metalkid's calculator won't give me exact ivs for pokemon around 50.

seems i have quite the bad luck after long!!! while i hit my delay on my ID my id finder gave me delay:8009 ID: 55684 SID: 15474 for
PID: F1951463 when i enter my ID in the RNG reporter it gives me 15472 with my ID that would allow Naive 31/30/30/31/31/31. so before i try anything more can someone see if they yield the the same results, thanks.

Ok can someone tell me if im doing this wrong?
Im trying to RNG Breed and heres what im doing
1: I already have the egg ready and the Parents are in the correct order
2: My Time and Date i need is 2009-7-4 and 14:00:12
3: So i set my DS to that date and set the time to 13:59
4: I then hit Start on my Stopwatch as soon as i hit confirm on the DS
5: Go into my game wait for the Stopwatch to hit 1:00 and SR
6: Mash A into my Game
7: The Journal Pops up and it says Caught ____
8: Now my Frame is 8 so i would flip the journal 3 times because the first page says caught ____ correct?
9: press start and mash A so i an get the egg
10: check my coinflips to see if i hit my delay right?
11: Then hatch the egg if i got the required coin flips if not repeat steps 3-10
I am doing this right right?
EDIT: Thanks so much Riddlinkid and Ericcc!

You need to calibrate for your initial frame first, or you might have but you didn't mention what your frame was. Chances are since you didn't do that, you're going past your frame because of NPC movement between the time you close the journal and the time you pick up the egg. Do the calibration step first, then you should know how many journal flips you need to do. The egg will always start on frame one, so by advancing 8 times (two because of the journal opening, and 6 because of your flips) you will actually never be able to hit frame 8.

NVM, I got what I needed from the wondercard pokemon:

Type Seed Seconds Delay
Initial FB10087F 40 2166

I'll use the seed finder for now on.

Calibration for finding your frame is VERY important in trying to RNG an egg. To do this, just set your clock/date to whatever time(doesn't really matter-but must be two days away from your target date). Collect the egg from the daycare man as FAST as possible. Try mashing your L button along with the A button when collecting the egg. After you've collected the egg, catch a wild Pokemon. Input it's stats into seed finder, and then hit find. Click OK. Select "Breeding DPPT" and hit generate. Find the IV's of your Pokemon that you've hatched, and find it on that list. There is a corresponding frame next to the IV spread that your hatched Pokemon might have. DO THIS A LOT OF TIMES. Reason being is that if you miscalculate, and decide you are on a frame of 6 when you were really smashing your button too slowly, and were actually on a frame of 5, or 4, you will never get to your desired frame. *If you find that you're getting the same frame over and over again, then go ahead and start doing what you're doing from step 1 in your question. If your target frame in the desired spread that you chose in Time Finder is, for example, 10, and the frame that you're saved on happens to be, for example, 4, you would need to flip the journal to a page(or have it open on a page) with a "Caught/Defeated ___" on it, 3 times. Because each flip advanced the RNG by two.

Also, If the journal opens, the RNG doesn't advance if it doesn't automatically open to a "Caught/Defeated ___ " page. Meaning, if it just opens on a page with none of these on it, the RNG doesn't advance. The little cowgirls walking around the town advance the RNG every time they move, so try saving at a time when they're put >_> Personally, I like to do this when the Buneary is going into the little green barrel. This is just the way I like to do it so you don't have to if you don't want xD.
Just make sure the cowgirls don't move from Point A(when you press Continue) to Point B(when you collect the egg).

Good Luck! Keep trying and you'll get there!
