I'm excited for what I assume will be a Fire slate. A lot of my favourite mons, even in lower tiers, are Fire mons.

is a Top Artist

Name: Magmortar
New Typing: Fire/Dark
New Stats: 95/95/67/135/95/105
New Abilities: Flash Fire / Mega Launcher
Movepool Addition(s): Dark Pulse, Aura Sphere, Dragon Pulse, Grass Knot
Justification: With access to Mega Launcher, which is pretty obviously flavored thanks to Magmortar's cannons, comes the Pulse moves bar Water Pulse. Flash Fire is a pretty common Fire-type ability while Grass Knot, while a tad strange, is learnt by Infernape, Emboar, Simisear and Darmanitan.
Niche in OU: Due to the abilities very limited range, Mega Launcher isn't seen much in OU, with Fire/Dark also being a neat typing not seen around much. With both of these traits and solid speed, Magmortar can rampage around in OU like an insane clown egg thing, with an awesome coverage movepool with Grass Knot, Aura Sphere and Thunderbolt.

Name:
Torkoal
New Typing: Fire/Ground
New Stats: 100/85/140/125/90/20
New Abilities: White Smoke/Dry Skin
Movepool Addition(s): Slack Off, Foresight
Justification: With a terracotta-like shell, Torkoal gains the Fire/Ground typing. To reitorate the toughness of its shell, the main stat increases were given to HP and Special Defense, alongside Special Attack. White Smoke has for a long time been a signature ability to Torkoal, and is still a rare ability, so I decided to continue having it. As an extra-heated tortoise, Dry Skin seems lika suitable ability. Being slow and rather elderly, Torkoal seems one to Slack Off, and with teeny-tiny eyes, it needs some Foresight to see a foe properly.
Niche in OU: Torkoal has been made into a Swiss army knife of a wall/tank, with a pretty awesome ability that makes a once pretty bad typing rather nice, and a whole slew of supporting moves such as, to name a few: Stealth Rock, Rapid Spin (which you can use Foresight to use on Ghosts), Clear Smog, Slack Off, Will-O-Wisp and even Lava Plume's burn chance, with a solid Special Attack stat to boot. However, while it has excellent 100/140/90 defenses, Torkoal's Special Defense is still below average and can be exploited, not to mention having so many moves at its disposal can cause a hecka-lot of 4MSS. Either way, a very handy wall or tank.

Name:
Pyroar
New Typing: Fire/Normal
New Stats: 106/71/92/129/66/126
New Abilities: No Guard/Unnerve/Scrappy
Movepool Addition(s): Inferno, Focus Blast, Boomburst
Justification: Retaining the original signature typing, Pyroar mainly gets small but noticeable stat boosts in its HP, Defense, Special Attack and Speed, with its main upgrade being two of its old godawful abilities, Rivalry and Moxie, being replaced by No Guard and Scrappy, both referencing its loose and scrappy nature as the king of the jungle. As a powerful Fire-type, Inferno is expected, while Focus Blast is common on fully evolved pokemon.
Niche in OU: With No Guard, Pyroar can become a really irritating pokemon, with high speed and the ability to use no-miss Inferno to burn everyone around, which gets especially irritating with its upgraded HP and Defense, not to mention no-miss Focus Blast and Fire Blast. With Scrappy, Pyroar can alternatively be able to Boomburst a ton of stuff, while still being able to deal with Steel-types with Fire Blast and Rock-types with Focus Blast.

Current Abilities: Flame Body / Flash Fire / Magic Guard
I'd say something witty about Run Away being changed to Magic Guard but I got nothing :v Still, you should prob fix that.

magmortar.gif

Name: Magmortar
New Typing: Fire/Fighting
New Stats: 85/105/67/135/95/105
New Abilities: Flash Fire / Mega Launcher / Vital Spirit
Movepool Addition(s): +Aura Sphere +Dragon Pulse +Dark Pulse +Eruption
Justification: Magmortar gaining the Fire/Fighting typing is due its access to several Fighting attacks including Mach Punch (not even all Fighting types get this). Mega Launcher is selfexplainitory. Flash Fire is common to fire types. Pulse Moves go hand in hand with Mega Launcher and Eruption is very justifiable on this thing.
Niche In OU: Whether wallbreaking with Specs + Pulse moves, sweeping with Scarf Eruption or eating up Fire attacks with a Assault Vest, Magmortar is a versatile threat. 105 speed is an ok speed tier for a wallbreaker, and it gits really hard with its STABs. Choice Scarf allows it to sweep teams easily in conjucntion with Eruption, granted that priority is removed. It even has a queer Belly Drum set, which is better than it sounds.

torkoal.gif

Name: Torkoal
New Typing: Fire/Steel
New Abilities: White Smoke / Sturdy / Dry Skin
New Stats: 90/85/160/125/90/40
Movepool Addition(s): +Slack Off +Flash Cannon
Justification: Torkoal is based on land tortoises and coal mines. Coal mines have metal in it. Dry Skin because its gotta be dry with all that heat its in.
Flash Cannon is standard while Slack Off makes sense for such a slow lazy turtle.
Niche In OU: Is it a better Heatran? In some regards. It has much better physical bulk and arguably better abilities, and reliable recovery + Rapid Spin. (BAN ME PLEASE) walls fire types to hell and back and can stallbreak. Torkoal is as versatile as its competition, sporting massive physical bulk and access to the aclaimed Shell Smash turning it into a threat (combined with Sticky Web ofc). Rapid Spin + Slack Off allows it to be a consistent form of hazard removal and a great check to many of MoU's most fearsome physical threats (barring a swift Earthquake).

rapidash.gif

Name: Rapidash
New Typing: Fire/Fairy
New Stats: 75/120/80/100/90/125
New Abilities: Flash Fire / Flame Body / Magic Guard
Movepool Addition(s): +Play Rough +Moonblast +Jump Kick
Justification: Its a flaming unicorn. Sub fairy typing and MG make too much sense. Play Rough and Moonblast are STABs and Jump Kick is because its a horse that kicks.
Niche In OU: A physical attacking Fairy is very needed in the meta. Magic Guard rids it of SR damage, LO Recoil and Flare Blitz recoil, meaning its alot harder to wear down. It also (shits on Yanmega) comfortably check most Dragon, Dark and Fighting types in the tier.

Name: Torkoal
New Typing: Fire/Steel
New Stats: 110/85/150/95/110/20
New Abilities: White Smoke / Oblivious / Unaware
Movepool Addition(s): Recover, Flash Cannon
Justification: Torkoal's shell could have metal in it, so a part Steel typing isn't completely unbelievable. Oblivious and Unaware come from its dopey look. Flash Cannon is standard STAB for Steel types. Recover keeps it from being worn down.
Niche in OU: Torkoal is an Unaware user that can eliminate its opponents boosts with Clear Smog. It can also run a niche set with Oblivious so it isn't shut down by Taunt.

Name: Rapidash
New Typing: Fire/Fairy
New Stats: 85/135/80/85/90/115
New Abilities: Flash Fire / Pixilate/ Magic Guard
Movepool Addition(s): Close Combat, Play Rough, ExtremeSpeed, Earthquake
Justification: The Fairy typing comes from how unicorns are regarded as magical. Flash Fire is fitting already and Magic Guard suits a Unicorn well. Pixilate only really requires a fairy typing for flavor. Play Rough and Close Combat come from how powerful horse kicks are. ExtremeSpeed comes from its Silver entry stating that it can reach 150 mph in ten steps. Earthquake was given to most fully evolved Pokemon before Gen V.
Niche in OU: Magic Guard not only eliminates stealth rock damage but cancels out recoil damage as well. This makes Rapidash a fantastic Wall Breaker. Pixilate along with ExtremeSpeed makes Rapidash much harder to revenge kill at the cost of longevity. Close Combat or Earthquake prevent it from being walked by Rock types and Heatran. Physical attackers are rare in OU not only among Fire types but Fairy types as well.

I've been watching this Pet Mod since the beginning, and I finally decided to try a submission.

formerly the someone
Name: Pyroar
Typing: Fire/Normal
New Stats: 91/82/90/129/90/108
New Abilities: Mold Breaker / Pressure / Justified
Movepool Addition(s): Boomburst, Dazzling Gleam, Morning Sun, Lava Plume
Justification: Pyroar is the righteous lion king/queen, who's known for having a strong roar. A sound wave explosion and having something to do with the sun seem to fit to me, as well as being justified. Pressure is basically a more viable Unnerve flavor-wise. Lava Plume is there because it's a Fire type, and Dazzling Gleam is there because Pyroar's mane is based on a Japanese ritual with lights, and the move is a flash of light.
Niche In OU: With an special attack, speed and ability that are the same as Keldeo's, and moves that allow it to perform similarly, Pyroar can be an amazing all-out attacker threat. Comparing it to the pony, we can see that it has the advantage of STAB Boomburst, Lava Plume which substitutes Scald, Fire Blast which substitutes Hydro Pump, as well as some coverage outside of Hidden Power. To make up for it's relatively bad typing, Pyroar also gets recovery with Morning Sun, and Mold Breaker to hit Flash Fire/Heatproof/Thick Fat using Fire moves and Soundproof Pokemon using Noble Roar/Boomburst, as well as other random abilities like Fur Coat, Unaware, Multiscale, etc.

Magmortar
New Typing:
Fire/Electric
New Stats: 75/105/77/135/95/103
New Abilities: Flame Body/Mega Launcher/Sheer Force
Movepool Addition(s): Eruption, Volt Switch, Aura Sphere, Dragon Pulse
Justification: Magmortar's ability to learn both Thunderbolt and Thunderpunch is unique among non-legendary Fire types; coupled with its design and colour scheme, I believe Magmortar fits a Fire/Electric typing. Volt Switch is due to the move being given to virtually all Electric types, while Eruption is given to it as it lives in volcanoes. Mega Launcher fits the Pokemon's design of having cannons for hands, and Sheer Force fits its powerful diverse movepool and species name as the Blast Pokemon. Aura Sphere and Dragon Pulse are moves that take advantage of Mega Launcher, and I believe Magmortar's cannons make them suitable flavour-wise as well.
Niche in OU: High mixed attacking stats, great offensive typing, decent speed, two powerful abilities and a huge movepool serve to make Magmortar the most powerful and effective special-based / mixed Fire type in the metagame, and also the most effective Electric type too. Fire Blast and Thunderbolt are devastating STAB moves that have great coverage together; coupled with Sheer Force, anything not resistant or a dedicated special wall is going to be blasted apart; Focus Blast is also boosted by Sheer Force and annihilated specially bulky Pokemon who threaten Magmortar, such as Tyranitar and Heatran. With Life Orb boosting those attacks and a Hidden Power Ice for Garchomp and Dragonite, fewthings will take Magmortar's attacks lightly. He also has a few physical options to deal with Pokemon such as Blissey.
Additionally, Magmortar has the option of a Mega Launcher set that covers a different set of checks and utilises the weaker but more reliable Aura Sphere for fighting-weak checks; coupled with a powerful Mega Launcher-boosted Dragon Pulse for the Dragon types that resist his STABs, Magmortar's coverage is almost flawless in this scenario, perfectly suited to a cleaner set; it can utilise Flame Charge for more reliability but it limits his coverage.
Basically, a powerful special-based wallbreaker that has a unique typing and amazing coverage, making it unique among both Fire- and Electric-types in the OU metagame.

Torkoal
New Typing:
Fire/Poison
New Stats: 70/115/150/115/100/40
New Abilities: White Smoke/Simple [HA]
Movepool Addition(s): Gunk Shot.
Justification: The speed increase allows it to be competitively viable after a boost, while still remaining slow enough to suit its design. The offensive and defensive boosts are simply done in a way that is balanced while keeping Defense highest and Spec Def lowest. Simple is a powerful ability that suits Torkoal's looks and design as a slow-moving (and based on its expression, slow-thinking) Pokemon.
The typing is due to both the noxious smoke it gives off, and its ability to learn Sludge Bomb, Clear Smog and other Poison-type moves naturally. Gunk Shot gives it a great physical Poison STAB move.
Niche in OU: Three words: Simple Shell Smash. After a boost, Torkoal's Adamant Max Attack or Modest Max Spec Att stat reaches an astounding 1083 - enough to slow away even the toughest walls in a maximum of two hits. Thanks to his improved 40 base speed, a simple Shell Smash boost also grants him an astounding 537 Speed, outpacing all but the fastest Scarf users and all Dragon Dance users in the metagame. With a White Herb, he also keeps his great physical bulk, able to easily tank the priority moves that come his way; for the record, the most powerful super-effective priority move in OU, Azumarill's 252+ Atk Choice Band Aqua Jet, only deals 59.5 - 70.9% - not able to KO even after SR damage.
Between his good natural bulk, narrow but efficient physical and special movepool, and devastating and unique access to Simple Shell Smash, Torkoal is set to take OU by storm.

"I am in incredible pain. Please remove my shoulders from my body."
Name: Magmortar
New Stats: 75 HP / 95 Atk / 67 Def / 135 SpA / 95 SpD / 123 Spe
New Typing: Fire/Ground just seems fitting seeing as it lives in volcanic craters and is even named after magma.
Movepool Addition(s): Eruption
New Abilities: Flame Body / Vital Spirit / White Smoke
Justification: It's Magmortar, except it doesn't play like Magmortar. While Magmortar functions as a tank/breaker, this version functions as an incredibly fast and powerful special sweeper and revenge killer. With a nice special attack stat of 135, it can also run a bulky breaker set, although that's not recommended due to its 4x weakness to the common water type, and its lacking physical bulk. Although, a speedy Specs set could work.
Niche in OU: A Pokemon that can revenge kill and wallbreak, filling two major roles on hyper offensive teams. Slap a Life Orb on that and you're good to go!

Name: Torkoal
New Stats: 70 HP / 135 Atk / 140 Def / 85 SpA / 140 SpD / 20 Spe
New Typing: Fire/Rock. I shouldn't have to explain why.
Movepool Addition(s): Head Smash
New Abilities: Rock Head / Dry Skin / Shell Armour
Justification: Torkoal a wallbreaker and stallbreaker? Yup! With Rock Head it can deal recoil-free damage with Double-Edge and STAB Head Smash, while eating up any attack the opponent wants to throw its way. Alternatively, it can run a more stall-oriented set with Dry Skin, being a defensive rain Pokemon and a Suicune check. Although, it's not perfect. It has a 4x weakness to ground in a tier full of EQ, which means there are several common Pokemon it can't wall and will get seriously injured if it tries to. People building around Torkoal are suggested to pack a Levitater to switch into threats such as Garchomp and Lando-T.
Niche in OU: Stallbreaker, Suicune hard check, wall, water check in general (minus Secret Sword Keldeo).

Name: Pyroar
Typing: Fire/Normal
New Stats: 101/68/85/133/75/128
New Abilities: Intimidate / Adaptability / Dry Skin
Movepool Addition(s): Boomburst, Shadow Ball, Scald, King's Shield
Justification: A royal lion deserves a royal shield. He's a normal type so Shadow ball is kinda a thing. He also has really dry skin, so while cats can adapt to any climate, Dry skin is because of the Savanah and desert. Scald is to give Dry Skin some watery resale value, and Boom Burst is a loud fuckin' roar.
Niche In OU: As if I need explain: Fire/Normal is decent coverage, resisted only by rock types and Ghosts with a secondary that resists fire. Shadow Ball and Scald fix both of these issues, though you'll still have resistors if you want coverage. Adaptability lets you hit hard with Boom Burst, and Dry Skin lets you laugh at water types, and provides a counterpoint to any Grassers that exist to stop your rain team. Intimidate is there for a scary king.

Name: Rapidash
New Typing: Fire/Fight
New Stats: 65/130/70/110/80/135
New Abilities: Flash Fire / Lightningrod / No Guard
Movepool Addition(s): High Jump Kick, Thunder, Play Rough, Focus Blast
Justification: Horses LOVE to kick. The horn aims for you, and Horses play rough. Focus Blast is Special Fighting move.
Niche in OU: No Guard Inferno is pretty nice, and Thunder (Zap Cannon might've been too much) goes well with it. You can also Mega Horn or Iron Tail for some bizarre reason if you're insane but HJK is Blob stoppage. You can also use Boltbeam resistance with Lightningrod (aim for the horn) though with 0 improved defenses over the original form, you have no recourse. Actually, compared to Infernape, this thing has a barren movepool, so even though it's faster, and stronger in both Attack stats, it cannot really boost unless through Lightningrod.

Name: Torkoal
New Typing: Fire/Dragon
New Stats: 120/85/145/100/120/20
New Abilities: White Smoke / Contrary (HA)
Movepool Addition(s): Recover, Steam Eruption, Dragon Tail, Draco Meteor
Justification: A Fiery Gamera is the theme here, a turtle dragon if you will. It's lazy, won't listen to rules. The dragon moves are standard Dragon fair and Steam Eruption... well, it's a geyser, it erupts steam... and coverage.
Niche in OU: I WILL get a Contrary dragon in there, even if it's slow as shit. Even still, it has better coverage and starting SpAtk than Serperior, Torkoal is a Trick Room's Contrarian. When not being a contra, it's a sturdy Fire/Dragon type, albiet without the greatest of attacking potential. It is very durable, however, so let it take a few hits and can Clear Smog enemy filth.

You can go physical and defensive with Superpower, like using Curse without the speed drop.

Name: Magmortar
New Stats: 90 / 105 / 82 / 125 / 95 / 93
New Typing: Fire
New Abilities: Flash Fire, Mega Launcher
Movepool Additions: Aura Sphere, Dragon Pulse, Dark Pulse, Eruption
Justification: Mega Launcher was added due to Magmortar's arm cannons, Aura Sphere, Dragon Pulse, and Dark Pulse were added to take advantage of Mega Launcher,
and Eruption was added because Magmortar lives in volcanoes.
Niche in OU: An extremely versatile wallbreaker. Magmortar can run special sets with Specs and Mega Launcher, physical sets with a Band, and Belly Drum sets. It can also attempt to sweep with a Choice Scarf and Eruption, but it might be too slow for that.
Example Sets

Name: Torkoal
New Stats: 95 / 100 / 140 / 105 / 90 / 60
New Typing: Fire/Ground
New Abilities: White Smoke, Shell Armor, Dry Skin
Movepool Additions: Slack Off, Rock Polish, Ancient Power
Justification: Ancient Power and Shell Armor were added because Torkoal is a turtle, and they have incredibly long lifespans, and Slack Off provides reliable recovery
Niche in OU: Torkoal's niche hasn't changed, but it has become better at what it does. Increased speed and attacking stats allow Torkoal to run Shell Smash effectively, and reliable recovery allows it to safely pull off defensive sets.
Example Sets

Name: Pyroar
New Stats: 86 / 108 / 80 / 127 / 74 / 115
New Typing: Fire / Fighting
New Abilities: Pressure, Mold Breaker, Moxie
Movepool Additions: Focus Blast, Storm Throw, Slack Off, Flare Blitz
Justification: Focus Blast and Storm Throw allow Pyroar to take advantage of its new typing, Flare Blitz allows physical sets to have a powerful Fire-type move, Pressure is essentially a more viable version of Unnerve. Moxie and Slack Off were added as references to real-life lion behavior.
Niche in OU: Pyroar's movepool and improved stats make it difficult to predict what it's going to do. It could be running physical sets, special sets, mixed sets, or even support sets.
Example Sets

Name: Rapidash
New Stats: 90 / 120 / 85 / 90 / 90 / 125
New Typing: Fire / Fairy
New Abilities: Flash Fire, Unburden, Reckless
Movepool Additions: High Jump Kick, U-Turn, Work Up, Play Rough
Justification: Unicorns are usually associated with magic, so a Fairy typing was appropriate. Play Rough is the obligatory physical STAB move, High Jump Kick was added because horses have powerful kicks, and Unburden was added because horses can move incredibly fast. Reckless was added primarily for competitive reasons.
Niche in OU: Rapidash has enough recoil moves to be a powerful Reckless-based wallbreaker. It's also the fastest user of Unburden.
Example Sets

What's the problem with typed slates lol
Boring, predictable, and they lack variety.

Name: Torkoal
New Stats: 100 / 90 / 160 / 110 / 90 / 40 (BST 590)
New Typing(if any): Fire / Ground
Movepool Addition(s): Slack Off, Power Gem, Calm Mind, Psychic
New Abilities(if any): White Smoke / Shell Armor / Dry Skin
Niche in OU: Think Primal Groudon with Groudon's stats, but slower, bearing recovery, with Rapid Spin, being a special attacker, and not overriding weather. So not actually that much like Primal Groudon. It does have the exact same bulk as Primal Groudon, and very similar defensive typings (Torkoal is able to heal from water, and needs a different loophole to hit it 4x)

I've noticed you vote for yourself, as the top vote no less, very very frequently. I don't think it's really in good sport voting for your own submission 3 times in one slate... isn't that kinda being a bad sport? I never vote for myself more than twice per slate, and I feel bad even doing that.
