Moving PS forums back to Smogon

As you may have noticed, a few sections of the Pokemon Showdown forums have been removed or moved back to the Smogon forums. Showdown is the best Pokemon simulator on the internet and Smogon is the best competitive Pokemon forum. This move is therefore to ensure that the two can continue to focus on what they do best. The structure of each will be as follows:

On the PS forums:

• News
• Discipline Appeals
• Pokemon Showdown!

On the Smogon forums:

• Pokemon Showdown!
  • Room Suggestions
  • News (links directly to the PS forum)
  • Discipline Appeals (links directly to the PS forum)

We will still be hosting the Discipline Appeals subforum on the Showdown forums. This is due to the single sign-on system we have there, which simplifies the process of making an appeal. Additionally, the Pokemon Showdown general discussion will remain, as well as the News subforum, which sends you weekly news updates upon logging onto the Sim. The links located in the subforum section will take you directly to the relevant sections of the PS forums.

We have also set up a Room Suggestions subforum, so that we can have a more organised approach to room creation. Please make sure to read the guideline before making a suggestion.

Moderation will be slightly stricter than it was on the PS forums, but don't be too intimidated. We don't bite (at least not most of us) and if you have any questions feel free to PM a subforum moderator or another member of Showdown staff!
