The format of the tourney will be sort of like MUTE was a year back, like with the teambuilding terms. However, instead of teams of 5, you will be in teams of 3.
Format is simple as in whichever team gets 2 wins advances.
On a reference to signing up, the other player on the team needs to confirm, (ie, the other player can like the sign up post the partner posted, or post 'confirming'.
If you don't have a team, you can post
'in as free agent', and by default you would be teamed up with 2 other free agents, and you three would be notified via post that you are a team. So, don't do this unless you really don't care who your team-mates are, and also, don't be a douche and abandon your team after you have been put in the team because you found another one (unless you talk to other 2 obv) :p
The spots are on a first basis category.
Ideally 16 teams is what would be wanted, but if more teams still want to sign up after that, the next amount of teams wanted would be 24, but if exactly 24 team aren't reached, only the first 16 teams would be entered in the tourney.
Each of three match ups will be labeled as Group A, B, and C.
All Match Up A's will have the same restriction, and so will all B's and C's.
For example:
Group A: Must use Mewtwo or Scizor but not Yveltal.
Group B: Must use Pokemon X or Y but not Pokemon Z.
Group C: Must use Pokemon A or B but not Pokemon C.
(The restrictions won't necessarily all just be using one Pokemon and not another.
The type of restriction will change each round, just like MUTE did).
And the battles for each of the teams will be as follows:
Team A vs Team B
Group A: n00b vs MMZ4
Group B: Ultra vs Venturi
Group C: RXL vs iampie
So it should (hopefully) be clear what you have to do for each match up.
Note:
-Since each round will impose a new restriction, you need to be able to build a new team which coheres with each restriction for every round.
-VM (post on their wall), don't PM (inbox) your opponent in case the need of activity
-The restrictions might be odd, so thing to note
Standard XY Uber Rules:
Sleep Clause Mod: Limit one foe put to sleep
Species Clause: Limit one of each Pokemon
Moody Clause: Moody is banned
OHKO Clause: OHKO moves are banned
Endless Battle Clause: Forcing endless battles is banned.
Just quick note: make sure that before you do you battle with your opponent and that the team that you are going to use for the battle actually coheres to the restriction; as once you see your opponents team they are reluctant to play as you have the advantage of knowing their team and can bring a team accordingly.
TL DR; Make sure the team you bring to the battle is the proper one, If not, each case would have to be dealt with on its own I guess, so don't let this situation happen.
Battles should be played on PS, but if both players agree PO is cool too.

- One Pokemon can't be used to fulfill both types. So if Psychic / Fighting are listed, you can have an Alakazam and Lucario on your team but not Gallade (as it is both Psychic/Fighting).
- Also, you cannot use Arceus to fulfill your type condition. So from previous example of "Psychic/Fighting", neither Arceus Psycic or Fighting may be used.
- Mega Evolutions whose original forme has a typing that is not allowed, but the Mega Evo has a typing that is allowed, can be used on the condition that they Meg Evo on the first turn it's sent out (for example Mega Char X, which loses its Flying type upon Mega Evo, and any other Mega to which it might apply)
