Okay, it's great that you posted some spreads, but in many of them you only varied the Attack IV and nothing else. Remember that you would only ever use a Mild spread if you were going to use the Attack stat in the first place (Otherwise you'd use Timid/Calm/Bold/Modest as your nature). Try to explore the other stats a bit instead of just varying the Attack stat, there are assuredly a lot more legal combinations that are reasonable and don't gut 30 points in Attack and so forth. Thanks for your work so far, though, I appreciate it!

I already recognized your post, SM. I asked firecape to start from Mild and add some extra ones, since there aren't a lot of them. Anyway, "you can't have too many spreads" if they are all reasonable and varied. Thanks for reminding me, though!

Okay, I have finally finished verifying every single IV combination in the OP, and I also have all of the necessary IV combinations for me to begin the writeup part of this article. Once I finish that, I'll aim to get it GP'd, and then I will begin the most tedious part of this article—yes, it's even worse than verifying the IV combos—in HTMLing it.

In many cases for competitive Pokemon, using a Pokemon with the maximum in all IVs is either suboptimal or altogether impossible. Usually, it is impossible A ubiquitous scenario would be when the Pokemon needs a specific type Hidden Power type in order to achieve obtain a very specific coverage move. Furthermore, in some cases a lower HP stat can reduce Stealth Rock damage taken, for Pokemon weak to it, or facilitate the creation of five Substitutes in a row with Leftovers recovery. As if to make things worse, some legendary Pokemon are unable to have certain IV spreads, making it even more difficult to find the right combination of IVs that are both allowed legal with a certain nature and able to yield the desired type for Hidden Power. This article was created in order to facilitate the process of finding the right IV spread for your Pokemon, regardless of the nature or Hidden Power type you need. Note that only competitively useful combinations are given in the tables below.

As mentioned above, sometimes you need your Pokemon to have a few less fewer HP IVs in order to take less damage from Stealth Rock or create more Substitutes. For this reason, viable IV spreads with possible combinations of 30 HP and 31 HP are provided. Because of this, viable IV spreads with possible combinations of 30 HP IVs and 31 HP IVs are provided. If a set has more than two IV combinations, or two of equal HP stats, it is because there are completely different combinations that can be used, each of which are useful in their own way.

Finally, you will notice that many of the following IV combinations have very low Attack stats. These low Attack stats are useful for specially offensive Pokemon so that they take less damage when they are confused and hit themselves. Separate spreads are provided for each Hidden Power type and each relevant nature with the highest possible Attack IV as well as the lowest.
