not sure what advice you're looking for, but I would say you shouldn't be worried about finding trades, there are a lot of people looking for what you're offering (4-5IVs). When I started out I had nothing as well, had to wait a few weeks before I had enough to create a thread, and even then it was smaller than yours. The cool thing about trading is it's a win/win. So your list should grow rapidly if you put time into it.

Thanks I hope that is the case, I'd hate to think just because I missed out on some of the instacheck stuff just since I was pretty new, that I'll never have a chance to get Comp quality shinies

The only other advice I could give is to focus on getting the 'correct/perfect' 5 IV spreads - eg 31/31/31/x/31/31 on your Jolly Tyrunt instead of 31/x/31/31/31/31 (since Attack is it's most important stat).

Without trying to sound rude, I think it's just kind of expected and assumed that all details of a Pokemon (nature, egg moves, ability, IV spread) are the competitive standard, or the most desirable for the most common or specific sets/builds for that Pokemon.

When I first started my trade thread, I had a lot less Pokemon than you do (and still not a lot compared to some other threads), but eventually you will expand through trading with people. Just use whatever you can to breed more and more that you can potentially offer.

And personally, I wouldn't worry about missing out on Instacheck. You will eventually find someone who is willing to trade you a competitive shiny for something you have. Then you can clone it and trade for other shinies etc.

if you're really into comp. shinies, it is best you learn how to clone (you'll need two DS). Otherwise it might be tough.

I have a shiny modest gooey goomy 5IV no attack that I don't need, do you want that for your jolly 5IV no sp.attack tyrunt with 4 egg moves? (note : nobody else will give you deals like that, it's basically a gift)

EDIT : damn didn't notice the wrong IV spread on the tyrunt! then I'll give you the goomy free of charge. But do what Nuns4Hire says, work on your IV spreads.

If you need some advice, I noticed you were trading your own mons, possibly parents? (Based on what i gathered from the zeus froakie). You should try to breed your own and then trade those instead of trading then losing them. The mons you have are all pretty good, just trade around, go to others threads and ask them if theyre interested in your stuff. If they are, your thread will expand and then when you have a decent amount, you can trade multiple for shinies.

I started with around 5-10 mons on my thread, and through what I just said, I have the biggest shop on smogon.

A helpful tip is to breed something no one else had and start trading those around!

Mostly. Sorry if I go into too much detail in the paragraph below, but I figure it's better that than miss things out.

It's usually relatively quick with a pair of pokemon with the 5IVs you want (1/12 chance each egg will have the correct 5IVs and be the wanted gender, down to 1/6 if gender doesn't matter). Hidden abilities make it a bit more difficult, since they are only inherited 60% of the time, and sometimes the random number generator will just troll you. I have spent an entire evening trying to breed a 5IV male HA swinub before, but equally some come out correct gender, ability and IVs on the first batch of eggs.

Then you can trade whatever you breed for females when you have a male from the same egg group with the same 5IVs, or males/breeding pairs in egg groups you don't have, so almost every trade lets you add something new to your shop, which you can breed for other people straight away.

If one of your games is Japanese language (give the number of JP pokemon you are offering) you can also breed people parents for Masuda method. This is great, because they generally don't care about the ability on the pokemon, so you can either use them to get rid of any you bred previously with the wrong ability or breed to order and perhaps get some spare females (which are generally more trade-able).
