Unfortunately for TheWolfe, Lord Jesseus is packing one of the best pokemon to use against Tyranitar: Sigma the Machamp. Even though Azazel manages to shake him up with an Earthquake, he soon takes the full force of a DynamicPunch that leaves him dazed. It's not enough to disrupt his attempt to Brick Break Sigma, but the Machamp follows up with a Low Kick, using Azazel's bulk against him, and finishes the job with a fast Bullet Punch before he can do anything.

Wow, the pokemon are dropping fast!

And the next pokemon to enter this dangerous arena is Chugga the Weezing, who opens with a Psybeam to Sigma's head. Sigma retaliates by throwing a heavy rock at Chugga - a real Smack Down that has left the Weezing almost incapable of floating! It turns out in fact that Chugga's underside is a weak spot as Sigma's Earthquake seems to hurt it very badly, so after hurling a Sludge Bomb at him, Chugga focuses on hardening its bottom. This results in the next Earthquake being not quite as painful, and the Psybeam attack combined with the sandstorm and the vicious swarm have almost brought Sigma to his knees. But, for the first time since Tau the Alakazam's arrival, both pokemon are still standing after that much time.

Kind of strange for the pokemon named Alpha on Lord Jesseus' team to be the only one so far that isn't fully evolved. Wait, what's this? Is he ... OK, I take that back, he is now fully evolved. This makes him barely faster than his opponent, allowing him to Dig underground to avoid any incoming attacks. However, Alpha gets impatient with Chugga and just strikes immediately afterwards. The Weezing still seems disoriented though and, once again, he only manages to hurt himself. The now-Tyranitar calls upon an Earth Power to finish off his opponent. Chugga the Weezing is down and out!

Sure is good the EQ occurs before TTar goes under. Also Sandstorm means you'll take more damage this round then I do.
I think.

As of this post, combos can now be used on the last action of a round, but they force a cooldown on the next action. Not that it matters this time round given how much energy the combo costs in this case.

TheWolfe figures that his best bet is to send out Roy the Blaziken. Roy doesn't appear to be doing much though. He's just standing there, idling. He doesn't even flinch when Alpha stomps the ground, creating an Earthquake. Wait, what's he doing? He's charging towards Alpha and ... yes, he's Countering that attack! It's as if he's trying to tell the Tyranitar not to try that again. But Alpha doesn't listen and causes another Earthquake, pissing off his Blaziken opponent enough to make him Counter again. Then suddenly, Alpha jumps high into the air! I didn't know Tyranitar could jump that high! Wait, what's gonna happen when he lands?

An Earthquake measuring 8.4 on the Richter scale. That's what happens when a Tyranitar jumps high into the air and lands heavily on the ground. It looks like that powerful attack knocked the wind out of both pokemon, but Alpha in particular is looking too exhausted to battle any longer. Roy, on the other hand, is standing triumphantly in the middle of the arena ... until the swarm of insects remind him how dangerous it can be to not appear dangerous. In fact, they seem to be particularly vicious this time around, and it looks like Roy can't weather the assault! He's down too! This is going to come down to the wire!

Beta the Aggron and Hype Dog the Swampert prepare to fight for their trainers. Both of them go straight for seismic activity. Beta's Earthquake is strong, but Hype Dog's Mega Earthquake is much stronger. Beta then Protects himself from Hype Dog's next attack. It turns out this was a good idea - a Swampert cooling down after executing a powerful attack is very dangerous. It's not dangerous enough to deter the swarm of insects however. The Aggron charges head-first into Hype Dog, delivering a powerful Head Smash to the Swampert, but she causes another Mega Earthquake that proves to be too much for Beta to handle.
