thought it was doubles x_x

also darkamber I have absolutely no clue what your substitution means. Going with Gerard's interpretation.

also Shadow Sneak cannot be used evasively iirc (I've gotten away with it, but apparently it doesn't work). Sorry!

Round One!

Fantine starts us off today by jumping in her own shadow and popping out of the other end. Upon popping out, she swiftly attacks Cetus for a nice chunk of damage. Cetus turns around with surprising agility for a grounded fish and shoots a beam of confusing light towards Fantine, confusing it! Seeing that Fantine is Yawning loudly at her, Cetus Protects herself from harm. Cetus then sprays a jet of boiling water at Fantine, dealing decent damage. Fantine attempts to yawn again, but hits herself in confusion! She then snaps out of confusion.

Round Two!

Before even the trainers can blink, the round has started. Cetus wallows feebly, managing to summon Rain even inside the Old Chateau. Problem, house? It seems that there is a problem, as a Duskull comes out and Night Shades the poor fish! Fantine adds some more pain by slashing Cetus sharply with her shadowy claws, dealing quite some damage. I guess losing her hair made Fantine a bit more aggressive o.o Just like last round, Cetus sees that Fantine is about to Yawn and quickly Protects herself from the contagious effects of Yawning. Foiled again. And just like last round, Cetus shoots another disorientating beam of light towards Fantine, causing her to become confused... again. Luckily, she doesn't hit herself this time, but manages to land another Shadow Claw!

Round Three!

Cetus starts the round off for us, shooting a jet of boiling hot water at Fantine. Fantine doesn't take the hit too well, especially under rain; in fact, it seems that Fantine is now suffering from a 2nd Degree Burn! Fantine retaliates with another Shadow Claw, dark claw marks visible on Cetus' flank. Cetus prepares another jet of hot water, but quickly changes her action to a Protect as Fantine attempts to pass a contagious Yawn to her; it seems that Fantine is keeping a remarkably clear head even through confusion. As if to reinforce this point, Cetus shoots another beam of confusing light at Fantine, but it fails as Fantine is already confused! Funnily enough, Fantine immediately snaps out of confusion afterwards and attacks with another vicious Shadow Claw.

Round Four!

Fantine starts the round this time, attacking Cetus with a quick Shadow Sneak, leaving Cetus at low health. Cetus gets annoying again by sending another strange beam of light towards Fantine. Fantine hasn't seem to wizened up to this trick as she becomes confused yet again! Fantine attempts to strike with a Shadow Claw, but she hits herself as Cetus shields herself from the non-existent attack! As Fantine snaps out of confusion, she attacks with another shadow sneak, knocking Cetus out.

Round Five!

As Cetus is recalled into the Pokeball, her trainer sends out Takedown the Beldum. It looks like a tough fight for Takedown to continue; can Takedown deal triple the damage Cetus did to seal the match? Takedown starts us off by headbutting into Fantine with an Iron Head. Doesn't deal much damage, and doesn't flinch. o.o Fantine responds by sending some ghostly ghastly flames towards Takedown, burning him and reducing its already not-very-good damage potential. Takedown now uses another Headbutt, but this time, there's some willpower-disrupting potential. Nevertheless, Fantine is unphased as she Yawns loudly, making Takedown quite drowsy. Takedown uses the Iron Head again, and Fantine slashes with the much-used Shadow Claw attack. Hopefully something interesting will happen soon!

Ok my little cat, you'll begin with an Iron Defense to make his attacks even more pittyful, then just use Shadow Claw, he should be sleep now so you'll Chill last action

PS: i really thing there's a mistake in damage, he lost 6 damage to burn (2 per action) and Shadow Claw is an STABed neutral attack, it couldn't have done 1 damage (it should have done around 10 (7+3) damage)

Round Six!

Takedown smacks Fantine with a Zen Headbutt, dealing some minor damage. Fantine responds by infusing her ghostly body with more steel, increasing her physically defensive capabilities by a nice two stages. Takedown now charges with an Iron Head, dealing absolutely mediocre damage. Luckily for it, Fantine is taken aback by Takedown's straightforwardness, causing her to flinch! As Takedown falls asleep, Fantine just chills off, recovering some spent energy.

Round Seven!

While Takedown sleeps silently in his yawning-induced sleep, Fantine isn't quite so silent, slashing loudly at the metal thing with shadowy claws, dealing significant damage. Takedown wakes up in terror and sees the evil shadow fox glaring at it. Takedown immediately goes into a metal headbutt, dealing some minor damage. Fantine licks the headbutting Beldum with a ghostly tingle, also dealing really minor damage. As Takedown goes into yet another type of Headbutt, Fantine slashes at it one more time. The round ends with both Pokemon having taken about equal damage and the burn slowly sapping both Pokemons' health.
