Smoker has bad blood with Virgo since he threatened to kill him while he was in the cage. Not to mention he fucked up his G5 unit and bitch-slapped Tashigi like a Detroit street hoe. Add the fact he has his heart so he needs to get that back somehow. Best case scenario is that Sanji loses this fight (rightfully so since Virgo is VA level and I don't think Sanji is quite near that level yet), and then Smoker comes to clean up for him.
On a random note again.. I hope Sanji loses a shoe this fight and has it stuck on Virgo's face lol
I would like a giant as the 10th nakama. No Monet/Kinemon please. Strawhat giant vs Sanjuanwolf is much much more interesting than Sanji+Jimbe vs Sanjuanwolf. Unless of course, Jimbe doesn't join the SH crew (highly unlikely) which means there are still 2 spots to go.
I kind of want to see Monet to do something =S
Not yet for now! Which would mean that Luffy is scratching the surface of Admiral level, which is toooo early for New World standards.
And with Monet, she's just a huge ball of mystery. It's difficult to tell which organization she's loyal too. She works as a double agent for Doflamingo, but she came across completely aloof when CC tried to kill Virgo with the gas. Most people say she favours Law's company, but she was laughing mischievously when Virgo gave Law the d. I hope she doesn't become the next Robin of the crew u_u
Let's remember that VAs level vary. It goes from Admiral level(Garp) to fodder(that giant VA who Luffy knocked out). So Sanji and Zoro could defeat/tie most VAs. It all depends on how strong Vergo is. From the looks of it, i'd say Sanji would lose to Vergo. He looks stronger. He hasn't done anything to confirm it but if he is as strong as Smoker then yeah, Sanji would lose.

Ceasar's fruit might be the strongest fruit we've seen to this date. Regardless Monet doesn't want to be under control of Don Quixote -- that's the only reason that Ceasar is still in this story.
Vergo vs. Sanji is going swimmingly and I enjoyed that fight scene.

Its quite impressive to see Monet's relatively calm demeanour for nothing. She's clearly stronger than CC. Not to mention, she's still the ONLY character in this arc who hasn't expressed the tiniest flicker of discomfort. What a bad bitch

That said, a shitload was implied / set up this chapter...both for this immediate arc and the future.
1.) New World new island name confirmed: "Dressrosa" Don Flamingo's base? Significant because of point 2.
2.) We're getting actual names of Flamingo's crew...if it wasn't "confirmed" before, it's basically directly implied now...Luffy and Crew will face off against Don Flamingo as their New World initiation. Oda loves doing things in 2s, and since he already used a Shichibukai to initiate Luffy into the Grandline, it's appropriate he'll use one again for the New World. "Baby 5" and "Buffalo" are going to sort shit out on Punk Hazard, and possibly bring Caesar / Monet / Vergo back with them. Baby 5 is probably the young girl, but we don't who Buffalo is...could be any of huge fat guy, dark looking gun guy, okama, crazy woman, or old guy. Those 5 + Baby 5 + Don Flamingo + Caesar / Monet / Vergo are coincidentally 10 members, just like Luffy's crew if either Jinbe joins or Kinemon joins. Look forward to the SHs getting to Dressrosa (possibly some islands in between like overall Baroque Works arc and getting to Alabasta) and facing off against Don Flamingo, most likely before the Big Mam arc.
3.) Kinemon clearly implied he knows something about the kids and their connection to the dragons...and the girl at the end tells us Momonosuke actually turned into a little dragon. Is the little dragon Brooke / Kinemon beat him? Or is it another little dragon?
4.) Caesar and all the scientific stuff going down on Punk Hazard is important too. You have: a.) His self created Shinokuni...the WoMD. b.) the mysterious SAD that causes even Don Flamingo and Vergo to flip out...which can only be created by Caesar c.) Caesar's candy experiments to turn children into giants (not entirely successful yet) d.) The (successful?) transformation of children into dragons
These 4 are all pretty big developments, and 4 kinda gives us more insight into what Law meant when he asked Smoker "What are YOU marines doing here?" which at that time implied Marines were being shady themselves (basically confirmed now).
Then there was also Sanji implying he'd be in trouble if he kept facing Vergo (so he is "close to VA" power?), another combo attack with Kinemon (more evidence for him joining?), and a general repetition of emotional type words with Don Flamingo..."smiles," "SAD," "misery" It looks that might be a theme of that arc.
All in all, lots of crap...but fucking breaks -.- (PKGaming called it lol)

This is definitely the best chapter of the entire arc, god damn. The following arc feels like a parallel to Baroque Works arc, only this time every member looks straight up savage and not fodder material. I'm honestly impressed with Doflamingo's crew, they just feel so legit power-level wise; Virgo, Monet, Caesar, Top hat dude, Old couple, Baby 5, etc.. I agree with Aldaron that this might be the first legit face off in New World, and quite possibly be the deciding factor to their readiness when they face off Big Mom's crew in the future. It feels like Doflamingo's a stepping stone to a bigger battle in the New World and I'm pretty hyped for it. Too bad we have frequent BS breaks.

Going back to the VA power levels, wasn't Lucci supposed to be around that level as well? Admiral is probably the only level you can base on power because, like was said before, you have Garp and one-shot fodder in the same rank, a total bitch was in charge of CP9 too. Marine ranking isn't all based on power just like bounties aren't.
Sanji vs Vergo makes me wonder how the Marine techniques and Haki interact. Unless Sanji's legs were previously injured, which I think prem said they were, Vergo's Tekkai must've been really damn good to just take Sanji and Armament. I wasn't sure if Sanji even had Armament yet but OP Wikia lists Zoro and Sanji under the list of users so I'll go with it. Maybe Tekkai and the like ignore Haki? It would be nice to go just a bit more into them, ESPECIALLY WHEN SANJI GETS THE RANKYAKU.
