Hey, no need to bump the thread like that! Thanks for that tho, but Id rather handle the bumps myself.

Reserving Mega Camerupt
This hasnt been done so Im taking this

Camerupt-Mega @ Cameruptite
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 Def
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Toxic
- Earth Power
- Fire Blast

This is pretty much a counter. Fast mega camerupt is easily the best way to run it in this metagame but that comes with the price of being a bit shakier against manectric, but not that much since mega camerupt natural bulk let it take its attacks with ease. HP Ice is a 4hko, immune to tbolt and resists overheat. HP Water is even more uncommon than hp grass so yeah, nothing else to say. Really solid response.

Alright, time to update this thread once more. Thanks for your contributions everyone (some pretty neat ones), winners are as follows:

Counter: Seismitoad (Chompers) | Mega Camerupt (MrAldo) | Rhyperior (BrandonBeast)
Check: Druddigon (michaeloche) | Tangrowth (with AV) (Kableye) | Dugtrio (Thatwackycruton)
Special mention: Cradily (fran17) | Lanturn (TrulyDevious)
Beautiful, we can move on to the next mon!

Victim of this week is:

Omastar @ Shuca Berry
Ability: Weak Armor
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shell Smash
- Hidden Power [Grass]
- Ice Beam
- Hydro Pump

Congratulations, we have very few RU mons by usage left to cover thanks to each and everyone of your support. Take a clap for your effort. Shell smash omastar is a pretty potent special setup sweeper on a tier that isnt abundant with those. Ability to use fletchinder and emboar locked into flare blitz as setup bait is notable and +2 omastar can hit really hard. Shuca berry is like the best item for it. Discuss!

Lord Death Man

is a Community Contributoris a Tiering Contributor
Slowking @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 164 Def / 96 SpD
Calm Nature
- Calm Mind
- Scald
- Slack Off
- Psyshock

This set (along with almost any CM King set) is a counter (I think?). Omastar struggles to 2hko this Slowking set, while Slowking can easily use Calm Mind the turn it comes in and then have a solid shot at OHKOing Omastar (while dodging a 2hko). I chose specially defensive because it doesn't need as much HP left to reliably take on Omastar, but even bold, max defense variants handle it assuming you're not statused and at max HP. Regenerator makes it hard for you to be worn down as well.

+1 0 SpA Slowking Scald vs. -1 0 HP / 0 SpD Omastar: 261-307 (92.8 - 109.2%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO
+2 252 SpA Omastar Hidden Power Grass vs. 252 HP / 96+ SpD Slowking: 184-218 (46.7 - 55.3%) -- 14.8% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Abomasnow as a counter.

Abomasnow @ Assault Vest
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
- Blizzard
- Giga Drain
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard

A customized bulky Abomasnow. Even at +2, Hydro Pump and Ice Beam only 3HKO, and Aboma can OHKO back. Not only that, but the lost HP can be recovered with Giga Drain. Even if Aboma came in on an attack, if Stealth Rock isn't up, it can take another hit and KO. You can also run 252 HP / 100 SpD so that Aboma isn't 2HKOed by Ice Beam with rocks up, then KO back with Giga Drain.

+2 252 SpA Omastar Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Abomasnow: 137-162 (35.6 - 42.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

+2 252 SpA Omastar Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 100 SpD Assault Vest Abomasnow: 123-145 (32 - 37.7%) -- 1.2% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

252 SpA Abomasnow Giga Drain vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Omastar: 520-616 (185 - 219.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Lanturn @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Volt Switch
- Heal Bell
- Thunderbolt / Scald

Lanturn is a Hard Check to Omastar. It can't stop Omastar from setting up, but it can wall every hit Omastar could throw at it, even at +2. Water Absorb is also nifty, as it allows you to recover health off of a good prediction, letting you possibly switch into Omastar and negate some of the hazard damage, though Omastar usually doesn't switch out after it boosts. Being at -1 doesn't help Omastar's case, either, as it lets Lanturn KO Omastar easier.

+2 252 SpA Omastar Hidden Power Grass vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Lanturn: 206-244 (45.3 - 53.7%) -- 92.6% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery (turns into 2% chance to 2HKO without Rocks)
+2 252 SpA Omastar Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Lanturn: 77-91 (16.9 - 20%) -- possible 7HKO after Leftovers recovery
Omastar Hydro Pump vs. Water Absorb Lanturn: 0-0 (0 - 0%) -- aim for the horn next time
4 SpA Lanturn Thunderbolt vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Omastar: 206-246 (73.3 - 87.5%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
4 SpA Lanturn Volt Switch vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Omastar: 162-192 (57.6 - 68.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Yes, I didn't wait a week and a half to do it. Shocked?

Jellicent @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 248 HP / 216 SpD / 44 Spe
Calm Nature
- Taunt
- Will-O-Wisp
- Recover
- Scald / Hex

Role: Counter

Jellicent is immune to Hydro Pump courtesy of Water Absorb and takes very little from Omastar's coverage moves, even a +2 HP Grass fails to 2HKO if Jellicent still has its Leftovers. It can burn with either Will-o-Wisp or Scald, and if running Hex, can do some nice damage with that as well if it lands a burn.

252 SpA Omastar Ice Beam vs. 248 HP / 216+ SpD Jellicent: 32-38 (7.9 - 9.4%) -- possibly the worst move ever
252 SpA Omastar Hidden Power Grass vs. 248 HP / 216+ SpD Jellicent: 88-104 (21.8 - 25.8%) -- possible 5HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 252 SpA Omastar Hidden Power Grass vs. 248 HP / 216+ SpD Jellicent: 172-204 (42.6 - 50.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Leftovers recovery

0 SpA Jellicent Scald vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Omastar: 102-120 (36.2 - 42.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
0 SpA Jellicent Hex (130 BP) vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Omastar: 163-193 (58 - 68.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after burn damage

edit: calcs had sdef, but the onsite set is pdef; this is supposed to be sdef jelli

Hard Check

Meloetta @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- U-turn

Meloetta with a Scarf outspeeds even +2 Timid Omastar, and with its great special bulk, tanks unboosted Hydro Pump. In return, it can OHKO with Focus Blast or even Psychic after a Shell Smash. Though no recovery means it can't switch in twice.

252 SpA Omastar Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Meloetta: 135-159 (39.5 - 46.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
+2 252 SpA Omastar Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Meloetta: 267-315 (78.2 - 92.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 SpA Meloetta Focus Blast vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Omastar: 348-410 (123.8 - 145.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Hariyama as a Check

Hariyama @ Assault Vest
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Close Combat
- Knock Off
- Bullet Punch
- Fake Out

can enter on all Omastar moves at +0 and survives a +2 hpump, CC clearly OHKO even without the defense drop, a bit shacky though because it has to remain healthy during the match to properly check Omastar, and has no recovery (with Wish support should be ok)

252+ Atk Hariyama Close Combat vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Omastar: 338-398 (120.2 - 141.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Omastar Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 252 SpD Assault Vest Hariyama: 118-141 (27.5 - 32.8%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
+2 252 SpA Omastar Hydro Pump vs. 0 HP / 252 SpD Assault Vest Hariyama: 237-280 (55.2 - 65.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Counter

Tangrowth @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Giga Drain
- Knock Off
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power Ice

I'm aware that the standard set for AV Tangrowth in RU is max special attack, but I frankly find the OU set to be more efficient in most cases. While it does take a large chunk from a +2 ice beam, between the recovery from regenerator and Giga Drain, Tangrowth can leave the matchup in pretty nice shape. Even if the Omastar user decides to go right for the kill with Ice beam as you come in, it will do about 35%, enough to be mostly healed off by regenerator. I think that AV Tangrowth makes for a pretty nice answer to Shell Smash Omastar, since it's rather easy to keep growth in good health to take it on again and again due to regenerator.

0 SpA Tangrowth Giga Drain vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Omastar: 472-556 (167.9 - 197.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 SpA Omastar Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Tangrowth: 132-156 (32.6 - 38.6%) -- 98.9% chance to 3HKO
+2 252 SpA Omastar Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Tangrowth: 260-308 (64.3 - 76.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

eelektross as a hard check

Eelektross @ Assault Vest
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 252 SpA
Quiet Nature
- Knock Off
- Giga Drain
- Flamethrower
- Volt Switch

Simple stuff. Eelektross lives Lord Helix's moves at +2 if at full HP, so it can switch in on the Shell Smash and KO with Giga Drain. Unboosted moves all do less than half damage, so that's p. nice too.

+2 252 SpA Omastar Hidden Power Grass vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Eelektross: 96-114 (25.6 - 30.4%) -- 9% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Omastar Hidden Power Grass vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Eelektross: 49-58 (13.1 - 15.5%) -- possible 6HKO after Stealth Rock

+2 252 SpA Omastar Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Eelektross: 145-171 (38.7 - 45.7%) -- 16% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Omastar Ice Beam vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Eelektross: 73-86 (19.5 - 22.9%) -- 8.8% chance to 4HKO after Stealth Rock

+2 252 SpA Omastar Hydro Pump vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Eelektross: 264-312 (70.5 - 83.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Omastar Hydro Pump vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Eelektross: 133-157 (35.5 - 41.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock

252+ SpA Eelektross Giga Drain vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Omastar: 416-492 (148 - 175%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Alright, time to update this thread once more. Thanks for your contributions everyone (great ones around here), winners are as follows:

Counter: Slowking (Lord Death Man) | Tangrowth (with AV) (Thatwackycruton) | Jellicent (michaeloche)
Check: Meloetta (Froggyboy) | Eelektross (Ryoma Nagare) | Hariyama (NaCl)
Special mention: Lanturn (Miyami~~)
Excellent, moving to our next target!

Victim of this week is:

Weezing @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 212 SpD / 44 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Taunt
- Will-O-Wisp
- Sludge Bomb
- Flamethrower

Now this is an interesting set. This set was posted by Spirit on the suspect discussion thread so Im yet to see how to handle this. We will be both educated on this one. Please be creative and dont nom every psychic type in existence, thank you (that doesnt mean you cant nom them!)

DO YOUR RESERVATIONS ON 48 HOURS OR ILL TAKE THE RESERVATION FOR MYSELF. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. IT TAKES 5 MINUTES.

Poopa as a hard check / gsi

[filler image since I'm doing this turbo]

Hoopa @ Life Orb
Ability: Magician
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 29 HP
- Hyperspace Hole
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Knock Off

Thanks to that JUICY 80/130 special bulk, partial Ghost typing, and those 4 Special Defense EVs that definitely matter to the integrity of this set, Hoopa can easily switch into Weezing's attacks (and Taunt since you're not carrying sub like a pleb). The biggest problem here would be getting status'd by will-o or sludge bombo's poison, which would be pretty harsh with the life orb recoil on par. Well, what does Hoopa do you ask? You click Hyperspace Hole and it falls right through (It OHKO's if you're not tagging along)!

PS: watch out for pursuit trappers, specially scarf drapion!

0 SpA Weezing Sludge Bomb vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Hoopa: 33-40 (10.9 - 13.2%) -- possible 8HKO

0 SpA Weezing Flamethrower vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Hoopa: 45-54 (14.9 - 17.9%) -- possible 6HKO

252 SpA Life Orb Hoopa Hyperspace Hole vs. 252 HP / 212+ SpD Weezing: 354-421 (105.9 - 126%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Mega Camerupt as a Counter

Camerupt-Mega @ Cameruptite
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 248 HP / 176 SpA / 84 Spe
Modest Nature
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic

Nothing too clever or heat here, just a standard set using Camerupt's excellent type match-up against Weezing and strong wallbreaking capacity to counter Weezing. Mega Camerupt is immune to Will-o-Wisp and resists both Sludge Bomb and Flamethrower, both of which do absolutely pitiful damage.

0 SpA Weezing Sludge Bomb vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Mega Camerupt: 41-48 (11.9 - 13.9%) -- possible 8HKO
0 SpA Weezing Flamethrower vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Mega Camerupt: 27-32 (7.8 - 9.3%) -- possibly the worst move ever

Camerupt can then proceed to hit it with Fire Blast for large amounts of damage or Toxic or Stealth Rock as the Weezing switches out because it barely touches Mega Camerupt.

176+ SpA Sheer Force Mega Camerupt Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 212+ SpD Weezing: 249-294 (74.5 - 88%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery

@ Leftovers
Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Rock Blast
- Earthquake
- Substitute

This is a set I've used back in the time which was very funny to use. Rhyperior can switch on everything bar WoW, and can proceed to setup a sub on the obviously WoW and get a free +2 with SD. Sludge Bomb and Flamethrower won't break the sub, doing around the 10% of damage :)

Rotom @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 120 HP / 136 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Substitute
- Will-O-Wisp
- Discharge
- Hex

Rotom eats up any hit from Weezing, and can burn it if not Taunted, as well as fish for paralysis with Discharge. Hex does a decent amount of damage as well, and can deal with Weezing especially since Weezing lacks reliable recovery. Rotom is therefore a hard check

Sigilyph @ Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 Spa / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Psyshock
- Heat Wave
- Air Slash
- Roost

Sigilyph functions as a soft check. Basically, you switch into Weezing, eat a will-o-wisp, and click Psyshock to dent it or force a switch.

252 SpA Life Orb Sigilyph Psyshock vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Weezing: 250-296 (74.8 - 88.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery

Most shit immune to burns is going to do ok here generally

Delphox @ Choice Specs
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fire Blast
- Psychic / Psyshock
- Dazzling Gleam / Switcheroo
- Grass Knot / Switcheroo

Delphox is a hard check to Weezing. It switches into any move (doesn't really care for Taunt or Flamethrower and takes nothing from Will-O) and proceeds to pressure it with Fire Blast or Psychic STAB. Sludge Bomb poisoning is really the main thing keeping Delphox from outright countering Weezing since that means it likely won't outlast Weezing. Switcheroo can be used if full coverage isn't warranted for your team and Life Orb is an option if you want full coverage and the ability to switch moves. Just know Life Orb jeopardizes Delphox's ability to outlast Weezing, especially if it gets poisoned. Make sure you have hazard control to give Delphox the best possible chance to outlast Weezing.

0 SpA Weezing Sludge Bomb vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Delphox: 84-100 (28.8 - 34.3%) -- 3.5% chance to 3HKO

Do I really need to show what the other logical moves do?

How did I miss this? n_n

Houndoom @ Life Orb
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Fire Blast
- Dark Pulse
- Hidden Power [Water] / Hidden Power [Steel]

Role: Hard Check

NP Houndoom is a solid check, as it can switch in on Will-o-Wisp or Flamethrower and can set up on it before getting taunted. Fire Blast is almost always an OHKO after rocks and Flash Fire, and a solid 2HKO unboosted. However, Sludge Bomb has a strong chance to 2HKO after rocks, and will if it poisons or you take LO damage.

252 SpA Life Orb Houndoom Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 212+ SpD Weezing: 196-231 (58.6 - 69.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery
252 SpA Life Orb Houndoom Dark Pulse vs. 252 HP / 212+ SpD Weezing: 142-169 (42.5 - 50.5%) -- 46.5% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery
252 SpA Life Orb Flash Fire Houndoom Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 212+ SpD Weezing: 292-344 (87.4 - 102.9%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

0 SpA Weezing Sludge Bomb vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Houndoom: 102-121 (35 - 41.5%) -- 69.9% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock

Meloetta @ Choice Specs
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Psychic
- Focus Blast

Meloetta can switch in on anything, then easily KO in return. It doesn't care about WoW or Taunt, and deals with both attacks, a 5HKO and a 7HKO, respectively. Meloetta OHKOs with Psychic.

Sorry for taking this long. Winners are as follows!

Counter: Mega Camerupt (Vore Gidal) | Sigilyph (Miyami~~) | Meloetta (Aubisio)
Check: Delphox (EonX) | Rotom-N (Arifeen) | Hoopa (Ryoma Nagare)
Special mention: Rhyperior with a cash set (fran17) | Houndoom (michaeloche)
Excellent stuff, thanks for your constant help!

Victim of this week is:

Mismagius @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Taunt
- Will-O-Wisp
- Hex
- Dazzling Gleam

Really interesting mon right here. Has a really solid niche with being a really nice spinblocker on offensive teams that rely a lot on hazards (sticky web being the main one) and with its great speed it is able to stop pretty much any flygon variant from defogging which is neat.

DO YOUR RESERVATIONS ON 48 HOURS OR ILL TAKE THE RESERVATION FOR MYSELF. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. IT TAKES 5 MINUTES.

Exploud as a hard Check

Exploud (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Boomburst
- Surf
- Fire Blast
- Sleep Talk

yay, Exploud is immune to Mismagius STAB and take neglectable damage from Dazzling Gleam, also being a special sweeper means that he does not care a lot being wisped (even if it limits his staying potential), giving to Exploud opportunities to almost freely switchin to spam Boom.

252 SpA Mismagius Dazzling Gleam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Exploud: 98-116 (28 - 33.2%) -- guaranteed 4HKO
252+ SpA Choice Specs Exploud Boomburst vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Mismagius: 283-334 (108.4 - 127.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
