Gengar(*) Purple Boss (M)
Nature: Timid

Type: Poison/Ghost
Poison: Poison STAB; immunity to Poison/Toxic, see and breath through smog/smokescreens/haze uninhibited. Able to use Wrap and Bind without losing focus. Superior senses in urban settings.
Ghost: Ghost STAB; brief intangibility that nullifies Normal and Fighting-type attacks. Can move through walls for a brief period of time but must remain in motion. Superior senses in low light and inside dark buildings. Have no vision reduction in hazes.

Abilities:
Levitate:
Type: Trait
This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading Ground moves like Bulldoze, Dig, Earthquake, and Magnitude. Other Ground moves can still hit. Levitate Pokemon will retain the Levitate trait when they use Skill Swap on an enemy, and will steal the opponent's ability (the user can specify if they want a foe or ally to gain Levitate from a Skill Swap.) If a Pokemon with Levitate uses Role Play, they will copy the opponent's abilities and retain Levitate.

Mind (Mr. Mime) (F)
Nature: Timid
Type: Psychic
Psychic STAB; less susceptible to blinding, more susceptible to sound-based assaults as far as locking on with Psychic attacks, can lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Abilities:
Soundproof:Type: Innate
Pokemon with this ability emit their own powerful electrostatic or sound-dampening field, making them immune to sound-based moves other than an ally's or their own Heal Bell. (Known sound moves: Bug Buzz, Chatter, Echoed Voice, Grasswhistle, Growl, Heal Bell, Hyper Voice, Metal Sound, Perish Song, Relic Song, Roar, Round, Screech, Sing, Snarl, Snore, Supersonic, Uproar.
Filter:Type: Innate
This Pokemon has a special energy barrier that reduces the Base Attack Power of any opponent’s super-effective attack by two (2).
Technician (DW):Type: Innate
This Pokemon is more skilled at performing weaker moves, causing any of their attacks that normally have 6 or less Base Attack Power to have their Base Attack Power multiplied by 1.5. (e.g. Aerial Ace goes from 6 to 9, Mach Punch goes from 4 to 6, etc.) The Energy Cost for a one-hit or two-hit attack is increased by one (1). Each hit in a multi-hit move is boosted by one (1) Base Attack Power, and the Energy Cost for multi-hit attacks is increased by two (2). Because Technician is a multiplier on single hit moves, its effect is applied to Base Attack Power before any additive effects.

darnit, i was hoping you wouldn't notice that...

well, three excellent abilities, but I think I shall go with soundproof to avoid watt's bug buzz

#5
No Bug Buzz? Curses.
Well, we can't let him get screens up!

Fang, get out there and hold this Life Orb

Show them your Sheer Force! (Enable it)

Attract (Mind) ~ Crunch (Mind) ~ Shadow Claw (Mind)

IF Mind uses Magic Coat a1, Shadow Claw (Mind) that action.
IF Mind attempts to Encore Attract, replace a1 with a Crunch (Mind)

Watt, use Compoundeyes, please, and hold this Destiny Knot!

Attract (Purple Boss) ~ X-Scissor (Mind) ~ Leech Life (Mind)

IF you are Taunted, Volt Switch (Mind) and push actions back.
IF Mind attempts to Encore Attract, replace a1 with an X-Scissor (Mind)

Not too much else we can do with only two substitutions.

Attraction can only occur between Pokemon of different genders in the same Egg Group.

Endquote I'm going to cry why do you keep doing stuff like this in our matches. :(

And yes, I did choose soundproof so I could perish song. :D

FUCK YOU'RE RIGHT.

I WAS GOING BY THE BLOODY MOVE DESCRIPTION:
Data Audit said:
Attract: The Pokemon flirts with an opponent, releasing pink hearts from its body. It causes opponents of the opposite gender to be infatuated with the Pokemon and reduces their chance of attacking or otherwise using their attacks productively.
GODS DAMN IT I SPENT LIKE 20 CC ON THAT DESTINY KNOT

So the DAT is outdated? May I reorder in light of this? (although if attract works regardless of egg group this makes destiny knot so impossibly overpowered, and I would like this to be confirmed with a second source)

Shadow Claw -> Mind (5 EN, 2 HP)

Purple Boss' Perish counter fell to 2!
Watt's Perish counter fell to 2!
Fang's Perish counter fell to 2!

Well, it looks like orcinus can easily win this one with his Perish Song and Soundproof shenanigans, but can he keep Mind alive for long enough to make this more than a tie for him, or will EndQuote be able to completely wipe him out in the next two rounds!?

Fuck I meant teleport

Shoot. Well, okay. Whoops.

Orcinus derpbag.

See this is why I'm glad we're having tha social group eeeeeek. No matter. Waterwarrior, what's the ruling?

No matter, not affecting anything.

Mind: Protect-Thunder Wave Galvantula-Protect
Purple Boss: Torment Fang-Protect Mime-Hypnosis Galvantula

If Galvantula uses volt switch
-On Gengar A1, replace Gengar's A1 with hypnosis Galvantula
-On Gengar A2, replace Gengar's A2 action with protect and A3 with disable volt switch
-On Gengar A3 AND on Mime A2, replace Gengar's A2 with protect Mime and A3 with disable Volt switch
This sub overrides all: If Galvantula uses a volt switch+agility combo on Gengar,
-replace Gengars action with protect if it can be used successfully, and gengar's next action with disable volt switch
-and Gengar cannot use protect successfully, replace minds action for that round with fake out Galvantula

I lied still editing

Jesus fuck how am I supposed to sub against volt switch + agility

You know of I hadn't brought it up I wonder if endquote would've thought of it

Ah he probably would've. Damn.

OKAY NOW IM DONE

I thinker against all forms of volt switch possible. Volt switch+sucker punch wouldn't work since I'm not attacking anything...and those are the only two priority moves available

God I hope this works

FINISHED

#14
lol, his name is Waterwarrior.

The social group idea just keeps getting better and better.

EDIT: He called you wanderer. I would never laugh at the noble heritage of warriors of the water.

#15
..... What the hell am I missing? Why is my name funny?? What social group?! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!

Anyways, since orcinus ordered illegal actions, he would have to re-order. Obviously, the only change to the illegal actions would be changing Agility to Teleport, and he ordered second. SO, just changing the illegal Agility to the legal Teleport (which is just changing the name of the move, the EN costs and effect are the same) would be the easiest thing to do, and the logical thing. Carry on guys.

#16
I've been up all night trying to figure out a way to win this.
As far as I can figure out, I have to take down Purple Boss first.
This battle is the most unfair, one-sided, and blatantly ridiculous thing I've ever seen.
When one player doesn't even have the slightest hope of winning, no matter what they do, something is wrong.
I was furious for a while, but now I'm just resigned. Battles like this simply cannot happen.

Fang: Focus Punch + Bite Combo (Purple Boss) ~ Cooldown ~ Waterfall (Purple Boss)
Keep Sheer Force enabled, please!
IF Purple Boss is somehow KOed a3, replace that action with a

Watt: Thunder + Thunder Combo (Purple Boss) ~ Cooldown ~ Thunderbolt (Purple Boss) (who I think is already koed but mind is protecting so whatever)
Dig deep into your electric-typing, try to fight off paralysis, k?

Dear RNG gods. Please let the Thunder combo hit. Please let Watt be able to fight off Paralysis. Please let everything crit. Love, EndQuote.

#17
I'd just like to make it clear that, yes, I always knew that EndQuote was screwed. But hey, maybe you can find another way around or something? Also, it appears I forgot to add Life Orb last round.

Pre-Round stats:

Purple Boss
HP: 90
EN: 60

Mind
HP: 90

Perish Song (2 rounds)

Watt
HP: 100
EN: 81
Perish Song (2 rounds)
Taunted (5a)

Only two more times.... and a shit-ton of Protecting
Action 1
Mind used Protect! (7 EN)

Torment -> Fang (10 EN)
Toooormeeeeennt~

Zeus' Wrath -> Purple Boss ((8+12)1.75) -1 = 34 EN)
RNG roll (to hit, <=635/1000 hit) 393 = hit
RNG roll (to crit) 1 = crit
RNG roll (to para, <=60 para) 78 = no para
((12x2.25)+3+3+(5-3)1.5) = 36 DMG

Focus Bite -> Purple Boss ((10+4)1.5 = 21 EN, 2 HP)
RNG roll (to crit) 6 = no crit
(15+6+2+(5-2)1.5)(1.5) = 41.25 DMG

Action 2
Protect > Mind (7 EN)
But.... they can't attack

Thunder Wave -> Watt (7 EN)
Watt was paralyzed! (25%)

Watt and Fang must cooldown!

Action 3
Mind used Protect! (7 EN)

Hypnosis -> Watt (7 EN)
RNG roll (to hit, <=87 hit) 29 = hit
Watt fell asleep!
RNG roll (for intensity, <=66 1 action) 54 = 1 action

Waterfall -> Purple Boss (5 EN, 2 HP)
RNG roll (to crit) 16 = no crit
(12+3+(5-2)1.5) = 19.5 DMG
Purple Boss fainted!

Watt is asleep!

So, its becoming clearer and clearer than EndQuote really can't win. However, playing devil's advocate, you could've at least drained Mind's EN by sending the combos her way... would it KO her? No. Would it make it slightly more possible to KO Mind? Sort of.

Post-Round stats:

Hey, at least you get a KOC out of this... right? Right?

#18
I ran the calcs.
Because Fang is Tormented and Watt was going to be hypnotized, there wasn't a way to force the Protects to cost enough energy.
I'm going to post actions in a bit.

#19
I didn't know Volt Switch would remove Perish Song.
Maybe I have a chance...

Watt: Volt Switch (Mind) ~ Thunder (Mind) ~ X-Scissor (Mind)
If you still have a Perish Count a2 or a3, use Volt Switch (Mind)
If Bide is used, Protect the action it releases.
The first substitution takes priority over the second.

Fang: Roar (Watt) ~ Shadow Claw (Mind) ~ Crunch + Giga Impact (Mind)
If Watt still has a Perish Count a2 or a3, use Roar (Watt)
IF an evasive move is used a3, use the combo on a2 instead.
The first substitution takes priority over the second.
Keep Sheer Force Enabled

Get at me, Orcinus. XD

Yeah I realized I screwed up when I saw that fang was no longer taunted. I spent ten minutes last night trying to figure out a way out of roar+switch, but nothing came up. Doubleslap+Fake Out is definitely a combo I want to try out sometime soon though.

Another solution, endquote, would've been to volt switch (fang) in round 2. I would've subbed against it, but then I realized I had no way past volt switch+agility (fang), so I didnt want to give you any ideas with my subs.

But let's do this mind. We can win this anyways. It's just a bug.

Well, I'll admit the wording in Perish Song's description would make one think that you can't get out of one inflicted by the opponent... Although, I must say that I'm sorry that, due to the late reffing, I screwed you guys out of some moves...

Orcinus, the hell is with you and putting pokes on timers this match?

RNG roll (for para, <=20 para) 54 = no para
Volt Switch -> Mind (4 EN)
RNG roll (to crit) 14 = no crit
(7+3+(5-5)1.5) = 10 DMG
Watt's Perish Count went away! Watt is no longer taunted! His ass is saved!

Roar -> Watt (7 EN)
Better safe than sorry, I suppose

Toxic -> Watt (1 DMG)

Action 2
Mind used Evasive Teleport! (6 EN)

Shadow Claw -> Mind (5 EN)
Mind evaded the attack!

RNG roll (for para) 16 = full para
Watt was paralyzed! It couldn't move! (drop to 15%)

Toxic -> Watt (1 DMG)

Action 3
Mind used Substitute! (18 EN, 20 HP)

RNG roll (for para, <=15 para) 63 = no para
X-Scissor -> Substitute (5 EN)
RNG roll (to crit) 7 = no crit
(8+3+(3-3)1.5)(1.5) = 16.5 DMG
The substitute took the damage!

Giga Crunch -> Substitute
RNG roll (to hit, <=95 hit) 2 = hit
RNG roll (to crit) 5 = no crit
(23+(5-3)1.5) = a hell of a lot more than 3.5
The Substitute faded!

Toxic -> Watt (1 DMG)

Fang's Perish Count fell to 0! Fang fainted!

With Substitute shenanigans and Perish counts finally running out, we're down to one poke per side! With 5 chills remaining for both pokes and a a rather large amount of HP for both Pokemon, who will come out victorious?!
