[OVERVIEW]
<p> Reuniclus is generally looked at as the #1 Trick Room setter in OU, and possibly the whole game. It usually runs Trick Room, of course, a STAB, and Focus Blast to counter Tyranitar and other Dark-types that want to switch into Psychic/Psyshock and trap it with Pursuit. </p>

<p> Trick Room is the signature move, it allows Reuniclus to destroy opponents much easier. Not much detail needed here, almost every Reuniclus user runs it with Trick Room. </p>
<p> Psyshock vs. Psychic: the Psychic STAB debate. Psychic has a higher base power and would seem preferable at first, however Psyshock counters Chansey and Blissey much easier, so it’s your choice. </p>
<p> Focus Blast is the coverage move Reuniclus uses most frequently, and allows it to make a mark on Tyranitar on the switch (if it hits; that 70% accuracy isn’t very nice). The sole reason for HP Fire is to surprise Scizors coming to switch in to Pursuit-trap Reuniclus—it is an easy OHKO as long as Reuniclus’s Life Orb is intact. Energy Ball is for Gastrodon, and Shadow Ball is also somewhat viable for the Fighting-Ghost coverage Cofagrigus is famous for using in RU. Or, if you don’t need the extra coverage, you can opt for Reuniclus’s very powerful Calm Mind (especially considering its Special Defense is weaker than its Defense with this EV spread and nature). </p>
<p> Relaxed nature is to speed itself up in Trick Room and at the same time boost its physical bulk. This can help it to tank hits from Scizor or other physical attackers a little better, depending on the set. </p>
<p> Life Orb is better because it is essentially a free 30% damage bonus on all of your attacks, as long as Reuniclus doesn’t get hit with Gastro Acid, Worry Seed, or Skill Swap, but each of these are almost never used. </p>
[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
<p> Breloom is a top partner for Reuniclus because it covers Dark-types, most notably non-Scarf Tyranitar, and has Spore. If you want to use Reuniclus as a dark-type lure, Terrakion is great, as it gets a free boost and can then proceed to set up or attack as the dark-type switches out. Just be careful not to have Trick Room already up if you do this, because Terrakion works better without Trick Room. </p>
<p> Of course, you will also want other Pokemon that can function well in Trick Room. For offense, you could use Scizor, Tyranitar, or Metagross. Defensively, Ferrothorn is an excellent choice, as it can quickly set up hazards, and becomes even faster if using Curse (though not a lot of sets do, unfortunately). Another good choice is Jellicent: it can outspeed set-up sweepers and use Taunt, Toxic, or Will-o-Wisp, or just start attacking extremely hard with STAB Water Spout. The problem with Jellicent, however, is that it shares two weaknesses with Reuniclus. </p>
[OTHER OPTIONS]
<p> Signal Beam, Flash Cannon, and Thunderbolt all have potential, but are overshadowed by the other options, HP Fire, Energy Ball, and Focus Blast. With the B2W2 move tutor, Reuniclus also gets to use Icy Wind, but that move has a low base power and is counterintuitive in Trick Room. Hyper Beam is also completely worthless since Trick Room is only for 5 turns. </p>
<p> Reuniclus has some physical attacks, such as Rock Slide and Fire Punch, which give good coverage but poor damage output. Just stick to special attacks. </p>
[CHECKS AND COUNTERS]
<p> Gliscor won’t take much damage from anything but Psychic. You can’t counter both Scizor and Gliscor, and this set is designed to counter Scizor, so HP Ice is not usable. If Reuniclus’s coverage moves are HP Fire and Energy Ball/Flash Cannon/Shadow Ball, Heatran completely walls Reuniclus and can then set up. </p>
<p> Tyranitar switching in on any of the main moves other than Focus Blast (Energy Ball won’t do much because of Sandstorm, even though it is super-effective) can Pursuit-trap Reuniclus. However, if Trick Room is up, Reuniclus can hit Tyranitar with Energy Ball or Focus Blast. Likewise, Chandelure with Shadow Tag can trap it and KO Reuniclus with STAB Shadow Ball, and Jellicent can immediately Taunt Reuniclus to block Trick Room from even being set up. </p>
