Yeah, I promised I would do this and now I finally have the time to get working on it. I removed a few of the moves and reworked all the comments with the updates, and also changed some of the comments on some sets. Hope I did well.

[SET]
name: Psychic Spooker
move 1: X-Scissor
move 2: Spore
move 3: Pursuit
move 4: Seed Bomb / Knock Off
item: Leftovers
ability: Dry Skin
nature: Adamant
evs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 6 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Out of all the things Parasect can do, scaring off Psychic-type Pokémon seems to be the most threatening. Pursuit and X-Scissor give Parasect a very effective way of hitting Psychic-, Dark-, and Grass-types super effectively. Spore speaks for itself, being the only 100% accurate sleep move that will incapacitate any Pokémon, effectively causing a switch.

The choice for the last move depends on what you would like Parasect to do. With Seed Bomb Parasect can take use of its other STAB attack and hit Ground-, Rock-, and Water-types for super effective damage. Knock Off can work extremely well in conjunction with Spore, as once you cripple a Pokémon with sleep, you can Knock Off an item, which can result in ruining your opponent's strategy.

The EVs are pretty self explanatory, max HP to ensure Parasect can survive a few weaker attacks, enabling it to hit back with his STAB attacks. Max Attack is to boost its average Attack stat and allow him to hit harder.

Parasect has issues with pretty much everything that carries a Fire-, Rock-,Ice-,or Flying-type move, and because of this Parasect has to watch out for the vast majority of the UU metagame. The most dominant counters to Parasect are Blaziken and Honchkrow. Blaziken can come in on any move, besides Spore, and then threaten Parasect with Fire Blast or another Fire-type move. Honchkrow may be the most threatening of the three, as it can easily come in on Spore due to the ability Insomnia and will only take neutral damage from X-Scissor while dishing out the moves Drill Peck or Heat Wave to score a OHKO. Since Fire-type attacks will be aimed at Parasect most often, having a Pokemon with the Flash Fire ability, such as Arcanine, makes for a good partner. Arcanine can use a STAB Fire-type attack on Honchkrow, while hitting Blaziken with any one of his neutral moves. Milotic is also a very good counter to Blaziken and Honchkrow, not getting hit super effectively and can retaliate against them with Surf and Ice Beam respectively.

Since Parasect is also weak to Stealth Rock, carrying a spinner such as Hitmontop or Claydol may also be helpful if you want Parasect to stay around for a little longer. Parasect also can help take out the Ghost-type Pokémon which render Rapid Spin useless.

[SET COMMENTS]

Choice Band Parasect has average coverage to say the least, but it does come with a few handy moves. X-Scissor and Seed Bomb together will hit anything that doesn't resist them hard, while Pursuit may hit a fleeing Ghost-type for heavy damage.

What's a Parasect set without Spore? Spore is what makes this set almost worth running. Since when Parasect comes in the first thing on a persons mind will be Spore, they will switch out in fear allowing Pursuit to get its damage boost and harming the fleeing Pokémon. Spore is also a good move to help see your opponents counter for Parasect. The EVs are a little odd, 48 EVs go to Speed so Parasect can out run 4 Speed Quagsire, and max Attack so Parasect has as much power behind its attacks as possible. The rest is dumped into HP to allow it to take some hits.

When it comes to walling this set, Registeel can stop it with both its arms tied behind its back. Since Registeel is so dominant, using a Blaziken can help break it down with its STAB Fire-type moves. Blaziken can also switch into Will-o-Wisps from Spiritomb, which were aimed at Parasect, and hurt it with Fire Blast. Torterra and Nidoking both do a good job of taking out registeel as well, comfortably switching into its Thunder Waves, and in Nidoking's case, Toxics as well. Steelix also proves to be an issue for Parasect, but once again Blaziken also helps in removing Steelix from the game. Rapid Spin is helpful to allow Parasect to switch in more than five times.

name: UberSect
move 1: Spore
move 2: Stun Spore
move 3: X-Scissor / Seed Bomb
move 4: Aromatherapy / Light Screen / X-Scissor
item: Leftovers
ability: Dry Skin
nature: Adamant
evs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 96 Def / 156 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]

Although Parasect is weak in OU, it can be surprisingly decent in Ubers. It's not the greatest choice for walling, but it has a unique movepool and resistances which can make it an interesting choice for your Uber team. The biggest advantage Parasect has in Ubers is its ability, Dry Skin. Dry Skin not only makes Parasect immune to Water attacks, but it makes it so that they actually replenish its health. Parasect will also recover a sizable chunk of HP every turn in the rain. Another big selling point for Parasect is its access to a 100% accurate sleep move, Spore, which almost guarantees that Parasect will cripple an opposing threat. The Grass/Bug-typing may be fraught with weaknesses, but it also comes with some key resistances, most noticeably a 4x resistance to Ground. A Life Orb Rock Polish Groudon's Earthquake deals 25.39% maximum, barely a 3HKO even when you factor in Parasect losing HP in the sun. Furthermore, Parasect is 4HKOed by Choice Specs Kyogre's Thunder.

The use of this set is very simple. By coming in on one of Parasect's resistances, you get the chance to incapacitate an opposing Pokémon with Spore, and then possibly cripple another foe with Stun Spore. Seed Bomb and X-Scissor are both powerful STAB attacks that hit specific targets: X-Scissor hits the numerous Psychic-types and Darkrai super effectively, whereas Seed Bomb allows for a powerful hit on Groudon and Kyogre. Leftovers allow Parasect to heal 18.5% in the rain a turn, and only take 6.25% damage in the sun. It also turns many 2HKOs into 3HKOs with rain support.

The EVs allow for Parasect to 2HKO Darkrai, Latias and Latios with X-Scissor, as long as they don't invest significantly in Defense. With Seed Bomb, Parasect can 2HKO a standard Choice Kyogre and can 3HKO a max HP Groudon. In the last slot you have a choice of a team supporting move. With Aromatherapy, you can make Parasect a cleric for your team, and use it to heal burns inflicted by Giratina and wake up Pokémon that get put to sleep by Darkrai. If you want Parasect to perform better against Kyogre's Ice Beam or Dragon Pulses from Latias and Latios, then Light Screen is another viable option. It is recommended that you run at least one attack move on Parasect so it is not completely crippled by Taunt. Any combination of the moves can be used, though.

Other moves such as Protect, Synthesis, and Grass Knot deserve some mention. Protect allows for scouting out Choice Pokémon with Protect but generally is a poor option as it wastes a turn in using it, when you could be doing something beneficial to your team. Synthesis is really only a good move to use when the sun is shining, but even then switching Parasect in to take damage along with Dry Skin sapping away a nice chunk of his HP is an uneasy thought. Grass Knot allows Parasect to hit the extremely heavy Uber Pokémon for some damage, but is generally a poor option over his physical attacks due to Parasect's low Special Attack stat.

Parasect hates Ho-oh, Groudon,Giratina, and Giratina-O with a passion. Groudon can be weakened with Seed Bomb, but Parasect risks being OHKOed by Stone Edge, and Parasect also takes damage from the sun. Ho-oh is also very hard to handle as it resists both X-Scissor and Seed Bomb and can OHKO Parasect with Sacred Fire. Giratina has a monster of an HP Stat; Parasect will hate getting set up on and will also dislike getting burned. In order to stop these threats, Kyogre is recommended. Kyogre can come in on Ho-oh and remove its power behind Sacred Fire by bringing in the rain, then using Water Spout or Surf; Kyogre can also OHKO Groudon with Surf. Palkia or Kyogre help in taking down both the Giratina formes with Spacial Rend and Ice Beam respectively. Also a Choice Scarf Dialga can pose a threat to all of these Pokémon except Groudon (and Ho-oh if the sun is shining).

This set works better with Rapid Spin support, so adding in Forretress to your team to help take care of Spikes and Stealth Rock will be very helpful. Forretress and Parasect share common counters, so you need one Pokémon to take care of them both.

[SET]
name: Swords Dance
move 1: Spore
move 2: Swords Dance
move 3: X-Scissor
move 4: Seed Bomb / Brick Break / Aerial Ace
item: Leftovers
ability: Dry Skin
nature: Adamant
evs: 204 HP / 252 Atk / 48 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

Thanks to Spore, Parasect can help take full advantage of Swords Dance. Since Spore tends to cause switches rather easily, Parasect can use that time to use Swords Dance to boost his attack. He then can attempt to hurt the opponents’ team with his chosen attacks.

The choice between Seed Bomb, Brick Break, and Aerial Ace depends almost entirely on your team. Seed Bomb will hit the UU Water-type Pokémon, like Slowbro, for super effective damage, while Brick Break will hit Steelix for 2x damage and Probopass for 4x damage. Aerial Ace is if you would like to hit a Roserade for 2x damage, but otherwise it doesn't give too much coverage.

No matter your choice of moves, Flying- and Ghost-type Pokémon will cause this set trouble. To remedy this problem, adding a Honchkrow to your team can be beneficial. Honchkrow can take care of the pesky Ghost-type Pokémon with STAB Sucker Punch, or Pursuit a fleeing Ghost-type. A Pokémon like Altaria can cause Parasect a really rough time, so something like Slowbro or Registeel, which carries Ice Beam and Ice Punch respectively, can take care of it with relative ease. Rapid Spin support is once again useful.

name: Status
move 1: Spore
move 2: Stun Spore

move 4: Pursuit / Knock Off / Aromatherapy
item: Leftovers

nature: Impish / Careful
evs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]

Parasect can be one of the most potent status inflicting Pokémon in the UU metagame. With Spore and Stun Spore, Parasect can cripple 1/3 of the opponent’s team, given the opponent switches out after the initial Spore. Not only that, but with the ability, Effect Spore, the opponent’s Pokémon has a 30% chance to be paralyzed, poisoned, or put to sleep if Parasect is hit with a physical attack

As sleep tends to cause switches, both Pursuit and Knock Off have merits. A sweeper like Blaziken would hate to lose its Life Orb, while a Ghost-type Pokémon would too hate to get hit by a Pursuit as it was fleeing. Aromatherapy can be helpful to your team if you do not carry a status absorber and wish to rid your team of harmful statuses.

As stated above, Altaria can come in and cause Parasect issues thanks to its ability, Natural Cure, which removes status when Altaria switches out. Slowbro with Ice Beam once again fixes this issue, as Altaria cannot OHKO Slowbro. Steelix and Registeel can also give this set problems if they carry Rest, but thankfully, Blaziken or Honchkrow can take them out with Fire- or Fighting-type moves. If you’re very desperate to get rid of Steel-type Pokémon then Probopass can trap them with its ability and hurt them with Earth Power. As always, Rapid Spin is recommended on your team somewhere if you choose to run Parasect.

[Team Options]

Parasect has a few issues, most notably its Stealth Rock weakness and its lackluster coverage. Removing Stealth Rock and Spikes from the field will help Parasect not get KOed as quickly and allow him to spread status through Spore. Running Parasect on a stall team will not be helpful, as the sleep Parasect induces will actually harm your Pokémon thanks to it preventing Pokemon from becoming poisoned.

When using Parasect on your team, Blaziken and Honchkrow are your main bets when it comes to offensive combos. Blaziken and Honchkrow can both take down Shaymin with their Fire-type moves, Honchkrow can hurt opposing Blaziken with Drill Peck, while Blaziken can hurt opposing Honchkrow with Vacuum Wave. Probopass also deserves a mention in the offensive section, as he can take down the opponent’s Steel-type Pokémon with Earth Power and allow Parasect more freedom when attacking.

When it comes to defensive combos, Claydol really does help Parasect a lot. Claydol can take Fire-type attacks aimed at Parasect rather easily, and Rapid Spin spikes away. Camerupt also provides a solid defensive combo with Parasect, attracting Ground- and Water-type moves which Parasect can easily absorb, while Parasect brings in Flying- and Fire-type moves which Camerupt can come in on with ease.

Parasect’s biggest problems come from the Steel-type Pokémon in UU and the teams based around them. Registeel and Steelix’s most common team mates are Blaziken, Milotic, Mismagius, Shaymin, and Roserade. All these Pokémon, besides Milotic, are handled by a mixed Honchkrow, where Milotic has problems dealing with Parasect on its own.

[Other Options]

Pretty much everything Parasect can do has been listed, but if you want to try a gimmick set with Counter and Focus Sash then that’s about it. Parasect can also try to use Yache Berry, but it won’t have much use. Occa Berry has some use on Rain Dance teams, but otherwise don’t bother with it.

[EVs]
252 Attack is a must on any Parasect which is trying to cause damage. Parasect's HP usually needs investment in order to help it to stand a chance against hits. Its speed, while terrible, may need a few points to help out speed the occasional -Speed natured or paralyzed foes. 48 Speed should be used when Seed Bomb is included in the moveset, as this allows Parasect to out speed minimum Speed Quagsire.

[Opinion]

Parasect's main weapon remains as Spore. Putting a counter to sleep with 100% accuracy is something every Pokémon wishes it could do. Parasect's typing makes it a nice switch in to Choice Ground-, Grass-, and Fighting-type moves, and its defensive stats are fairly good. It also has a very good movepool for being annoying, coupled with two useful abilities.

The disappointing thing is Parasect's typing gives it two common 4x weaknesses: Flying and Fire. It has the burden of being both slow and frail, which is a shame because Parasect boasts a respectable 95 base Attack. Parasect's Speed is so bad that even Jolly and a Choice Scarf don't do much for it -- 261 Speed isn't worth the EVs and drop in power of Jolly.

Parasect's new ability makes it different from other Grass-types; it now hates the sun! This makes Dry Skin Parasect useful for Rain Dance teams, sporting both a Grass- and Electric-type resistance.

[Counters]

Spore tends to make countering Parasect more difficult, but usually anything with a strong STAB move which Parasect doesn't resist should easily 2HKO the mushroom.

In addition to this, Parasect cannot handle Flying-types. Its movepool and typing mean that he cannot damage or survive assaults from them. Noctowl is a brilliant Parasect counter because Insomnia blocks Spore and status sets are ruined by Psycho Shift. Vital Spirit Primeape can also switch in on Spore and X-Scissor and pose a threat with Ice Punch. Steel-type Pokémon cause Parasect issues if they are Rest Talkers, and they resist both of Parasect’s STAB attacks.

His Speed, while terrible, may need a few points to help to out speed the occasional -Speed natured or paralyzed foes. 48 Speed should be used when Seed Bomb is included in the moveset, as this allows Parasect to out speed minimum Speed Quagsire.

Noctowl is a brilliant Parasect counter because Insomnia blocks Spore, and status sets are ruined by Psycho Shift. Vital Spirit Primeape can also switch in on Spore and X-Scissor and pose a threat with Ice Punch. Steel-type Pokémon cause Parasect issues if they are Rest Talkers, and they resist both of Parasect’s STAB attacks.

Quick nitpicks

Psychic Spooker

Parasect has issues with pretty much everything that carries a Fire-, Rock-, or Flying-type move, because of this Parasect has to watch out for the vast majority of the UU metagame. The most dominant counters to Parasect are Blaziken, Shaymin and Honchkrow. Blaziken can come in on any move, besides Spore, and then threaten Parasect out with Fire Blast or another Fire-type move. Shaymin does have to be wary of X-Scissor, but once it is in Air Slash is an easy OHKO for our little bug. Honchkrow may be the most threatening of the three, as he can easily come in on Spore due to the ability Insomenia and will only take neutral damage from X-Scissor while dishing out the moves Drill Peck or Heat Wave to score a OHKO. Since Fire-type attacks will be aimed at Parasect most often, having Arcanine with the ability Flash Fire will be extremely helpful to pair along with Parasect. Arcanine can use a STAB Fire-type attack on Honchkrow and Shaymin, while hitting Blaziken with anyone of his neutral moves.

Added in the fact Honckrow can come in on Spore because of its ability. Also I think you should add in Milotic in there to work great alongside Parasect because it can manage with Blaziken and Honckrow best. Shaymin alone looses to Clefairy.

Swords Dance

No matter your choice of moves, Flying- and Ghost-type Pokémon will cause this set trouble. To remedy this problem adding a Honchkrow to your team can be beneficial. Honchkrow can take care of the pesky Ghost-type Pokémon with STAB Sucker Punch, or Pursuit on a fleeing Ghost-type. A Pokémon like Altaria can cause Parasect a really rough time, so something like Slowbro who carries Ice Beam, can take care of it with relative ease. Rapid Spin support is once again useful.

Removed "or Heat Wave" because its pretty random. Pursuit is better to manage with fleeing Ghost-types such as Mismagius or weakened Spiritomb. I think you should also mentioned Steelix because a standard Steelix can shrug off +2 Brick Break from Parasect dealing around (44.63% - 52.54%) to it. With leftovers, its a clean 3HKO. Steelix can roar it away, use Explosion or can set-up Stealth Rock.

Ok, thank you Imp for the grammar check, and I fixed those two things you pointed out, franky. I also mentioned Milotic in the Psychic Spooker set.

This is almost done, it just needs a couple of things:

- Take out references to Shaymin and Crobat
- Counters section needs to be expanded...Noctowl and Primeape are the only two pokemon you could think of? List specific pokemon (both UU and NU) that can do the job. Moltres, Flareon, Altaria, etc etc

This is almost ready to go on site

And just a little nitpick I saw, Insomnia was spelled Insomenia in th efirst set's team options paragraph.

Milotic is also a very good counter to Blaziken and Honchkrow, not getting hit super effectively and can retaliate against them with Surf and Ice Beam.

What's a Parasect set without Spore? Spore is what makes this set almost worth running. Since when Parasect comes in the first thing on a person's (not so sure) mind will be Spore, they will switch out in fear allowing Pursuit to get its damage boost and harming the fleeing Pokémon. Spore is also a good move to help see your opponents counter for Parasect. The EVs are a little odd; (semi-colon instead of comma) 48 EVs go to Speed so Parasect can out run 4 Speed Quagsire, and max Attack so Parasect has a little more power behind its attacks.

Steelix also proves to be an issue for Parasect, but once again Blaziken also helps in removing Steelix from the game. Rapid Spin is helpful to allow Parasect to switch in more than five times.

When using Parasect on your team, Blaziken and Honchkrow are your main bets when it comes to offensive combos. Blaziken and Honchkrow can both take down Shaymin with their Fire-type moves. (period instead of comma) Honchkrow can hurt opposing Blaziken with Drill Peck, while Blaziken can hurt opposing Honchkrow with Vacuum Wave. Probopass also deserves a mention in the offensive section, as he can take down the opponent’s Steel-type Pokémon with Earth Power and allow Parasect more freedom when attacking.

Parasect’s biggest problems come from the Steel-type Pokémon in UU and the teams based around them. Registeel and Steelix’s most common teammates (teammates is a word, so you can use that instead) are Blaziken, Milotic, Mismagius, Shaymin, and Roserade. All these Pokémon, besides Milotic, are handled by a mixed Honchkrow, where Milotic has problems dealing with Parasect on its own.

I took out shaymin references

Yeah, I promised I would do this and now I finally have the time to get working on it. I removed a few of the moves and reworked all the comments with the updates, and also changed some of the comments on some sets. Hope I did well.

Parasect has issues with pretty much everything that carries a Fire-, Rock-, Ice-(I dont see why not as its 2x effective like rock and very common),or Flying-type move, and because of this Parasect has to watch out for the vast majority of the UU metagame. The most dominant counters to Parasect are Blaziken and Honchkrow. Blaziken can come in on any move, besides Spore, and then threaten Parasect with Fire Blast or another Fire-type move. Milotic is also a very good counter to Blaziken and Honchkrow, not getting hit super effectively and can retaliate against them with Surf and Ice Beam respectively (Smogon analyses usually make things clear with respectively).

Since Parasect is also weak to Stealth Rock, carrying a spinner such as Hitmontop or Claydol may also be helpful if you want Parasect to stay around for a little longer. Parasect also can help take out the Ghost-type Pokémon whichstop Rapid Spin from being used effectively..

[SET COMMENTS]

Choice Band Parasect has just (maybe has doesnt sound right but boasts definitely isnt right there average coverage to say the least, but it does come with a few handy moves.

Torterra and Nidoking both do a good job of taking out registeel as well, comfortably switching into its Thunder Waves, and in Nidoking's case Toxics as well. Steelix also proves to be an issue for Parasect, but once again Blaziken also helps in removing Steelix from the game. Rapid Spin is helpful to allow Parasect to switch in more than fiive times.

move 4: Aromatherapy / Light Screen / X-Scissor
item: Leftovers
ability: Dry Skin
nature: Adamant
evs: 248 HP / 8 Atk / 96 Def / 156 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]

Although Parasect is weak in OU, it can be surprisingly decent in Ubers. It's not the greatest choice for walling, but it has a unique movepool and resistances which can make it a fine(I feel like interesting is a negative thing) choice for your Uber team.

Parasect hates Ho-oh, Groudon, and Giratina-O(or do you mean either giratina forms? If so make that clear with a passion. Kyogre can come in on Ho-oh and remove its power behind Sacred Fire by bringing in the rain then using Water Spout or Surf; Kyogre can also OHKO Groudon with Surf.

Forretress and Parasect share common counters, so you need one Pokémon to take care of them both.

move 3: X-Scissor
move 4: Seed Bomb / Brick Break / Aerial Ace

Aerial Ace is if you would like to hit a Roserade ,among other Grass/Poison-types for 2x damage, but otherwise it doesn't give too much coverage.

A Pokémon like Altaria can cause Parasect a really rough time, so something like Slowbro or Registeel, who(should this be which?) carries Ice Beam and Ice Punch respectively, can take care of it with relative ease. Rapid Spin support is once again useful.

move 4: Pursuit / Knock Off / Aromatherapy
item: Leftovers

nature: Impish / Careful
evs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD
