Partner Mafia Postgame - TOWN WIN

So, now that Partner mafia has been brought to a close, this topic is to bring the game to a proper finish.

The Teams

The Town were quite strong. They had all the standard villager roles: a hooker, a bodyguard, a mayor, a rogue and an inspector. We gave them a limited vigilante, in the form of the Gunman, limited in the sense that he could only kill twice, and only if he got in contact with the rest of the team. We made sure that his bullets wouldn't go out of the game too quickly by giving the village a scavenger to work with, in the Rubbish Collector. Too bad he died too quickly to accomplish anything. They had a role with an inherent BPV and on even nights and a rogue role that didn't have a revealed death pm to help them gather, but that never happened. The Town didn't really have to do much to win this, and we wouldn't say they did well, though they did win. They also has the Convict role which we got a lot of flak for. It was there to balance the numbers (11 VS 8) and the village would have had a big number advantage if they didn't lynch him, but they still managed to win even after lynching. Overall, the main reasons they won were the crossfire between the mafia that you can see on the spreadsheet, and the both mafia having an unfortunate choice in killers or targets at the wrong times. It's all in the night actions spreadsheet.

The Rejects and the Shady Men were arranged rather differently but we made sure they were relatively balanced in strength. We also didn't want a team-up between the two mafias which would have made the village unable to win, so we made sure the Rejects could almost never win mafia-vs-mafia. The roles were:

Shady Cop VS Double Agent
Shady Drug Dealer VS Second-Rate BG
Shady Thief VS Unlucky Businessman
Shady Lawyer VS Mercenary

A mole is actually more useful than an inspect since it safes one member of the team and gets loads of info and influence, but inspector had the advantage of getting concrete info on the opposite mafia through inspections. The drug dealer AKA hooker was better than the martyr but only by a little if both the BG and the clothes were around. The Shady Thief had the ability to steal while the Businessman had the ability to know what items were moved and provided an inspect immune item; both dealt with items. Both weren't very useful since there were only 4 items and only 1 useful to the mafia (although the Bullets would have helped prevent vig deaths if stolen), which about evens out. BG isn't necessarily that useful as a mafia role which meant it only had a slight advantage over Silencer which would have been really useful mafia vs mafia after the village was eliminated. Both teams were allowed to elect a killer to ensure that they could always kill, with the Reject killer having priority.

Here're their role PMs with comments on each role/players.

The Town

Attention [Earthworm/CyzirVisheen],

You are the Mayor.

You aren't really sure what's going in the town anymore after recent developments, but you do know that you'll continue to do your best as the representative of the people and serve them well. Those criminals won't be having an easy time in your town...

As the Mayor, the respect and influence you command means that your vote will count as two votes during the day lynch. Also, in your office lays a pile of trinkets collected by the town which is considered the property of each Mayor who is elected. You look through the pile for any useful items in the fight against the mafia, and finally pick out a Bullet. You aren't sure what you can use it for, but you decide to keep it with you for now.

You win if the Town win.
I thought they played ok. There was some suspicion on them which I didn't get at all; usually nobody claims Mayor, but either way Fishin didn't really trust them. I expected them to be more proactive with the bullet and try to get it somewhere where it could be more useful but they decided it was a better idea to just wait for the village unite when they would get more information regarding the bullet. Of course that never happened because evan/Shade were killed.

Attention [Evan/Shade],

You are the Gunman.

You are a first class marksman who is well experienced in using all sorts of firearms. However, this is already a thing of the past. Desiring a quiet life, you hung up your guns for good and settled down in this seemingly peaceful town. That doesn't mean that you can't kick all sorts of ass, though.

Now that the mafia have made their move on your home, you will do everything you can to protect this town. Although you have discarded most of your guns, you still possess a trusty sniper rifle which you kept as a memento from your younger days. Your experience means that, unlike other gunmen, you had the wisdom to nail your gun down so that it cannot be stolen. This also stops it from being transferred, so your sniper rifle will not count as an item for purposes of this game. Unfortunately, a rifle is useless without bullets, and you didn't bother keeping any. Should you ever acquire a Bullet, you may send a PM at night to either Gmax or Raikage with the title 'Night X - Sniping [User and User]'. That pair of players will be killed during the night. This uses up a Bullet permanently.

You win if the Town win.
Well, from what I know they kept quiet all the way until they died, which I thought was rather odd considering they were useless without a bullet and extremely important with bullets, as the village killer. I suppose they had a role they couldn't risk getting killed, but at the same if they didn't talk their role wouldn't do anything either ~_~

Attention [Toothache/Billymills],

You are the FBI Agent.

You've sent a report to the higher-ups that the mafia are moving, but they aren't sure if, and when, back-up will be coming. You've received your orders, and they are crystal clear: take matters into your own hands and clean up the trash in the town.

As an FBI Agent, you have undergone strict training in all manner of combat, especially in the art of protecting others. This allows you to prevent those you want alive from being killed. You may send a PM at night to either Gmax or Raikage with the title 'Night X - Protecting [User and User]'. That pair of players will be safe from kills during the night. You may not protect yourself, however. You also have a Bullet which you acquired from an earlier mission. You aren't sure what it might be useful for now, but you keep it with you anyway.

You win if the Town win.
Thought they played ok as well, but I think they were too cautious with their role. Admittedly it's bodyguard but a BG is useless if he kept protecting the wrong people. aamto and Kannon nearly died n1 because they kept protecting Fishin instead but luckily the mafia changed their target. It took nearly 3 day/night cycles for Fishin to know they were bodyguard, I think.

Attention [Matamato/Kannon],

You are the Spy.

You were called off from another mission by the higher-ups after news of mafia activity was reported and transferred to this town instead. You aren't really strong which prevents you from being good in combat, but your espionage skills can prove deadly in other ways.

As one of the best spies on the country, you are able to tail anyone and find evidence to prove their true identity. You may send a PM at night to either Gmax or Raikage with the title 'Night X - Spying on [User and User]'. You will stealthily creep behind them like a ninja and discover who they really are, which will prove to be of great help in the future.

You win if the Town win.
Nothing much to say here, matamato and Kannon played a solid game and played the role of inspector properly.

Attention [Fishin/TAY],

You are the Prostitute.

Er, you weren't too sure what to do when you read the reports of mafia activity, but eventually you decided to protect the town in which you make your living. All sorts of talents could end up being extremely useful, after all...

Using your physical charms and great experience, you can prevent people from carrying out their plans at night by suggesting a more...pleasurable course of action. You may send a PM at night to either Gmax or Raikage with the title 'Night X - Seducing [User and User]'. Your target will be too busy fucking you to do anything.

You win if the Town win.
Fishin and TAY (mostly Fishin) were too suspicious of the right people and too trusting of the wrong people, like suspecting Earthworm and cyzir and trusting thunda/stoo and Vampy/Misaki. Other than that he did decently as the leader of the village and managed to hook the right killer twice on n3/4 even though it was a boss choice kill. They did pretty well overall and took the initiative in this game.

Attention [Hipmonlee/Mordock],

You are the Convict.

You've had a shady past, living a life full of crime, but now you have turned over a new leaf and genuinely wish to help the town. Unfortunately, this might not be as easy as you hope, but if you work at it, you will surely be able to be of some use.

Due to your criminal past, should you ever be inspected by the Town, they will instead receive another PM that will pinpoint you as the Tracker, a member of the Shady Men with a night role that allows you to check if a pair of a users used a night action. Unfortunately, your troubles do not end there. If you are inspected by any other faction, they will receive your true role. You also possess a Bullet from your days of violence. You aren't sure what use it is now, but you still keep it with you as a reminder of the scars from the past.
You win if the Town win.

Attention [Hipmonlee/Murdock],

You are the Shady Tracker.

You've had a shady past, living a life full of crime, and throughout your various criminal exploits, you've managed to pick up the skill of following others unnoticed. This will be your selling point for the Shady Men.

You know how to follow others and see what they do from there. At night, You may send a PM at night to either Gmax or Raikage with the title 'Night X - Tracking [User and User]'. You will spend the entire night following the user, and you will then determine if they have used a night role or did anything else at night. You also have a Bullet which you found dropped behind by someone when you tried following them once. You don't really know what it can be used for, though.

You win if the Shady Men win.
Infamous role that earned us alot of flak from pretty much everyone. This role, though a staple in normal mafia games, had a really low chance of working out on Smogon and I wouldn't included it normally. The role was included for 2 reasons: 1) To teach the beginner player how to handle sticky situations, and 2) To balance the numbers of the game. Unfortunately Mordock wasn't really active and Hip was busy so 1) never happened. 2) refers to the fact that the village had 11 men versus 8 mafia, and this role counted as a negative to make the numbers fairer. We included the Bullet in his role so that he would have a chance of proving himself but that didn't work either and we didn't want to make it too easy (since that would have made the village too powerful) by taking away the mention of a Bullet in the PM.

Attention [Lesm46/Hobo Joe],

You are the Male Lover.

You've worked up a lot of courage and saved up a lot of money, and finally, you've done it. You bought a diamond ring and proposed to your long-time lover, hoping to marry her. Then, the mafia came.

This has complicated matters greatly, but you are determined to get out of this sticky situation. You possess the Diamond Ring. This ring is of use to pretty much no one, but you need to make sure it does not leave your hands. You are also able to protect your lover once. You may send a PM at night to either Gmax or Raikage with the title 'Night X - Lovingly Protecting [User and User]'. Your target will not be killable at night, but only if they were your lover. Additionally, should either of you ever be killed, you will fake your death and go into hiding (you will still be dead for purposes of the game). Should the mafia win, or should both of you be killed though, you won't be able to hide for much longer before you're flushed out.

You know who your lover is as well, of course. She is: [User and User].

You win if the Town win, and one of the Lovers are alive and holding the Diamond Ring.
Attention [AvatarST/Forks],

You are the Female Lover.

You've waited a long time for your long-time love to grow some balls and propose to you, and finally, he managed to work up the courage and propose. Then, the mafia came.

This has complicated matters greatly, but you are determined to get out of this sticky situation. Your lover possesses the Diamond Ring. You know who your lover is as well, of course. He is: [User and User].

You win if the Town win, and one of the Lovers are alive and holding the Diamond Ring.
Tricky role to play as, really. However it wasn't necessarily as tough as it sounds as they only needed one of them alive and the village had a Scavenger to pick up the ring for them. There was also only 1 thief. The 1 time protect the both of them had was really there to give them some control over their fate; they decided to use their protects early when the mafia were most likely to be randkilling. They needed the Town to win as well, because we didn't want them to be 2 free votes for the mafia.

Attention [Serenity/Jimbo],

You are the Rubbish Collector.

You are a smelly sort of man, sadly, but it's not as though you can help it. The town have not chosen to ostracize you for this, however, and this has made you determined to pay them back in whatever way possible.

You spend most of your time sorting out rubbish. For some reason, a law has been passed in this town which classifies corpses as rubbish too, which gives you the privilege of handling dead bodies (and doubling as an undertaker). You will be able to pick up whatever items a person was holding when he died, which can be of much benefit for the village.

You win if the Town win.
Well, Serenity and Jimbo didn't really have much to do since there was little messing around with the items throughout the game, so it was kinda boring for them :(

Attention [moi/Veedrock],

You are the Rogue.

Despite being a rather untrustworthy and dishonorable person, in truth you are really a good guy and you have decided to help out the town you've lived in since you were born with your unique talents. Although others may call you scum or a cheater, you know better than anyone else that lying and running away keeps you alive better than any physical protection can.

You are able to determine who might try to attack you at night and come up with measures to prevent that from happening. You may send a PM at night to either Gmax or Raikage with the title 'Night X - Stalking [User and User]'. If your target should kill you at night, you will fake your death and be able to come back during the day by sending a PM to either Gmax or Raikage with the title 'Day X - !resurrect'. Your great deceptive skills mean that your role PM will not be released upon death, and also that you will always be able to carry out your night action.

You win if the Town win.
We intended moi and Veedrock to claim important roles like BG or inspect or whatever to fuck around with the mafia since they mostly had a useless role that wouldn't have gotten a released PM at death, but they mostly just voted and talked without doing much with their actual role. Can't say they did anything wrong, though.

Attention [moot/Thorns],

You are the Old Woman.

You're the friendly widowed lady who everyone looks up to as a model citizen and the mother figure of the community, and you speak and converse with just about everyone. Now that the mafia have come into this peaceful town, you obviously won't be taking this lightly.

At the moment, you possess no powers, but this may change in the future. For now, you should just try to keep yourself alive, and also use your vote during the day wisely, of course.

You win if the Town win.
This role didn't do anything at all except activate dak and Doomsday when they died; we lied about the powers. We did drop them a little hint about trying to stay alive, though!

Attention [StrangeDanger/Bass],

You are the Grizzled War Veteran.

You've spent all of your youth fighting, dodging bullets, slaying countless enemies, and destroying all manner of fortifications. But now, you're just an old man. This has made you slightly less awesome, but you're still pretty good.

Your wealth of experience in battle situations means that you are well-versed in the art of survival. Should you ever be targeted at night by a killer, you will use all sorts of tricks and tactical knowledge you have gained over the years to foil their feeble attempts. Unfortunately, now that you're an old man, your body isn't as fit as what it used to be. During even nights, you will survive just fine. However, on odd nights you will be struck by a hacking cough which will render you vulnerable to anybody attacking you.

You win if the Town win.
They didn't really seem to do much, but were always in the Rejects' sights for some reason. Bass did come up with a clever lie about being BPV on odd nights instead of even but thunda saw through it anyway. They survived one night thanks to their inherent BPV ability, and another night because of Fishin and TAY's hooking. They're a lucky pair to be alive at the end of it all!

The Shady Men

The Shady Men were a more direct mafia than The Rejects. They did not depend on each other as much as The Rejects did, so picking one of the off wasn't equivalent to blowing a hole in the team strategy. They could obtain concrete information on the other teams using their inspector, and the Drug Dealer had higher priority than Fishin/TAY, so they could have also stopped themselves being hooked if they so desired. The Lawyer would have gained importance if the village had actually lost a few members and could have been crucial in stealing the majority at some point and also of course in a mafia VS mafia situation. The thief could have stopped a kill or two by getting the bullet, shut down a couple of votes at some point possibly by blackmailing the Lovers with their Diamond Ring, or stopped the opposing mafia being inspection proof and gave themselves some protection with the Clothes. One on one, the Shady Men would probably have triumphed over the Rejects.

Attention [Shiv/eric the espeon],

You are the Shady Cop.

You've been a cop in this town for long enough, but no matter what you do, no matter how many criminals you catch, and how many cases you solve, you are overlooked by your superiors and ignored by the townsfolk. You're tired of this thankless job. You are also getting old, and frankly, the idea of living off a policeman's pension isn't attractive. So when you were approached by the Shady Men you jumped at this opportunity for some self-advancement.

You will provide the Shady Men with your services in this game. You have built up your contacts over the years, and you will put them to full use along with all resources you can access as a policeman to discover their real identity. During the night you may send a PM to either Gmax or Raikage with the title 'Night X - Inspecting [User and User]'. In the morning you will discover what they truly are.

The other people on your team are

To carry out a shady assassination at night, your shady members must agree shadily on an assassin and a target. During the night, each man must shadily send a PM to Raikage or Gmax titled Night X - Sending [User and User]1 to Shadily Assassinate [User and User]2, where [User and User]1 is a living member of your team who is to shadily assassinate [User and User]2. The assassins selected as [User and User]1 by over 50% of the living members of your team will assassinate the men selected as [User and User]2 by over 50% of the living members of your team.

You win if the Shady Men win.
Shiv and ETE were the only pair on their team that never tried to claim or anything but that luckily didn't hurt them. They managed to get pretty vital info on evan and Shade before they were inspected and lynched by Hip's accusations. Nothing to complain about here.

Attention [darkie/demon238],

You are the Drug Dealer.

Getting high used to be your favourite pastime. You enjoyed drugs so much that you eventually decided to sell them for a living. That didn't go down too well with the townspeople though, so you have decided to work with the Shady Men to eliminate disapproving townsfolk and help create a town where there will be nothing interfering with business.

Drugs have a funny way of getting people too high to be able to do anything. You and the Shady Men will hope to take advantage of that. During the night you may send a PM to either Gmax or Raikage with the title 'Night X - Selling Drugs to [User and User]'. You will meet those users in some shady alley and get them too high to be able to act that night.

They tried to mole and as a matter of fact did it very well, so well that they ended up being killed by the other mafia instead. They didn't use their role very well, managing to hook Mayor, Mole, and Rogue which were all rather useless. Gmax also somehow sent a PM to BK informing him that a syringe was shoved through his pocket (instead of the arm) which confused everyone. Overall, a good showing, considering how they claimed.

Attention [Vampy34/Misaki-Chi],

You are the Shady Lawyer.

You are an old hand at the courts. You've been there for ages and know each and every detail about every single case that has been tried, and...well, let's just put it this way, everyone in this game has embarrassing things in their past that they'd prefer remained buried.

The Shady Men offered you a large amount of money to assist them in taking over this town, which you accepted after bargaining to obtain a considerably higher amount by blackmailing them with their bloody pasts. You will put your blackmailing skills to good use in this game to help the Shady Men. At night you can PM Raikage or Gmax titled 'Night X - Blackmailing [User and User]'. They will be unable to speak in the daytime, for fear of having their secrets revealed by you. If they speak regardless, you will tell Raikage and Gmax their secrets, who will kill them, outraged by whatever it is they have done.

This pair tried to claim too, but they didn't have the foresight to realize their role could be easily disproven. Well, at least they tried! It kept them safe for a few nights but it turned out to be useless because all their people were dying to the other mafia. Their silence never managed to prove to be a factor. They also silenced themselves n0 and claimed they were silenced to make themselves slightly more trustworthy which was a clever little move but it wasn't really necessary to have actually silenced themselves.

Attention [thunda/Stoo],

You are the Shady Thief.

You're quick, you're nimble, you have the fastest limbs in town. You have applied them profitably in the past few years, having pulled off many world-famous heists. You thought you had settled into happy retirement, however detectives from various countries appear to be closing in on you. You will have to leave this town soon, so you decided that you might as well leave your mark on it. One last hurrah before disappearing. The sudden breakout of violence seems like the perfect opportunity to accomplish this.

The Shady Men have hired your services (they didn't come cheap, you should know) for the course of this game, and being an honourable man, you will attempt to serve them well. During the night you may send a PM to Raikage or Gmax titled 'Night X - Robbing [User and User]'. You will divest them of ONE item that is in their possession. Know this, you are the fastest thief in this game, your action has the highest priority among thieves.

They did extremely well and picked a good and believable claim, which allowed them to nearly access the the village spreadsheet. Unfortunately they moled so well they were killed by the Rejects, which not only disrupted their own kill (because their kill had lower priority) and also stopped them from stealing the clothes off GP and Lightwolf. Pity.

The Rejects

The Rejects were a team that was built with a particular goal in mind. They were meant to hide, and to sneak around gathering information using their various roles. They had a mole, who could infiltrate the Town and find out who was who, and what was going on. They could seek out the inspector and stop him getting information, they could stop the bodyguard getting in their way if they so wished it instead of killing him off, they were basically meant to lurk unknown and untouched in the shadows, with the mole hopefully controlling the village actions. We decided not to make it too easy for the mole, and made his rolename public, so that eventually the Town would cotton on to the fact that there was a possible deceiver in their midst. Everyone on this team pretty much depended on the others, it was meant to be a cohesive unit. Given the interdependence, we decided to give their kill priority over that of the Shady Men.

Attention [Kumar/GTS],

You are the Mercenary.

A man's gotta make a living somehow. Your method of choice just happens to be watching over people to protect them from deathly blows of various sorts. You sure can guarantee bang for the buck though.

The one filling your purse during this game happens to be the Double Agent, the leader of the Rejects. You will do your best to ensure that they come out on top in the end. During the night, you may send a PM to Raikage or Gmax titled 'Night X - Watching Over [User and User]'. You will make sure that that user is protected from anyone attempting to kill him that night.

The other people on your team are

Amelia/Puggy

The Double Agent is a leader in name alone however. To kill a man at night, the support of the team as a whole is necessary. During the night, each man must send a PM to Raikage or Gmax titled Night X - Sending [User and User]1 to kill [User and User]2, where [User and User]1 are living members of your team who will kill [User and User]2. The murderers selected as [User and User]1 by over 50% of the living members of your team will murder the men selected as [User and User]2 by over 50% of the living members of your team.

You win if the Rejects win.
Your standard bodyguard. Unfortunately, these two couldn't do much, because they got rolled Day 1, after the village aborted the dak/Doomsday lynch. They did make a mistake when they had no false claim prepared at all, though. That led to their lynch.

Attention [GreenPikachu/Lightwolf],

You are the Unlucky Businessman.

This was YOUR town. You owned this place. Every little thing in this town belonged to you. Until you hit hard times, that is. In your desperation you borrowed money from the Double Agent. You sold off everything you owned to pay off your debts, but somehow it wasn't enough. You never thought those two grimy Bullets would fetch much, but you were sure that selling off the Diamond Ring was the answer to all your troubles. You thought you might have had to sell the Clothes Worn During Suspicious Dealings, which you acquired for use during these hard times, but thankfully you managed to avoid that. You reached an agreement with the Double Agent that your working with his team, the Rejects, during this violence would set the record straight. They know you still have the Clothes Worn During Suspicious Dealings and expect you to provide them. You also have contacts monitoring your old possessions and you will know if they are moved during the night. However, you will only know if and how they were moved, not who had possession of them, nor who currently possesses them.

While holding the Clothes Worn During Suspicious Dealings a user's role is impossible to glean. While in possession of the Clothes Worn During Suspicious Dealings you may send Gmax or Raikage a PM at night titled 'Night X - Giving Clothes Worn During Suspicious Dealings to [User and User]'. They will gain possession of Clothes Worn During Suspicious Dealings that night.

This role was basically meant to hold the Clothes, and to give the Rejects some information to start off with, since they would have no definite way of gathering information. The item was meant to aid their Martyr in protecting the team. Unfortunately, we messed up with their secondary role, and forgot to send them a PM on a crucial night that got them lynched. We apologise for that. Well, they would have been lynched regardless of whether they got the pm or not, but it's still our fault ~__~

Attention [BlueKirby/Twash],

You are the Double Agent.

You were a spy back in the day, during the war. You picked up a few tricks during your time as a spy, and were known and feared by governments across the world. You decided to hang up the boots a while back and returned to your hometown a few years ago. You were appalled by the state of things. The situation came to a head recently with the recent surge in crime and violence. You plan to run this town, starting over from scratch. You're not leaving the useless Town in charge, and you sure as hell aren't going to let these Shady Men continue their reign of terror. Your years as a spy have taught you to improvise, and do the best with what you can get, and you've identified a bunch of people rejected by society whose abilities you believe will aid you in emerging victorious.

You are a master of disguise, and combining these skills with your reputation as a war-hero you will deceive the Townspeople and the Shady Men. When you are inspected you will appear to be the Collector with the following PM:-

Attention [BlueKirby/Twash]

You are the Collector.

You're a pretty materialistic man. You enjoy collecting valuable objects, and you have built up a formidable collection during your life. People keep coming up to you and offering deals. Your standards are very high, however, and you have turned your nose up at various things during the buildup to the sudden outbreak of violence. There were a couple of grimy Bullets that you didn't care for, since you already had a crate of the finest ammunition in the world. There was also a Diamond Ring that you were very close to buying, but decided that in the end it wasn't worth it, given that you were already arranging for the theft of the Cullinan Diamond. You cannot have any mafia running this town, they would loot your collection and leave you a pauper if they came into power. You will attempt to aid the Town with this knowledge.

You win if the Town win.
The people you gathered are

Kumar/GTS
Amelia/Puggy
GreenPikachu/Lightwolf

You are only a leader in name however. To kill a man at night, the support of your team as a whole is necessary. During the night, each man must send a PM to Raikage or Gmax titled Night X - Sending [User and User]1 to kill [User and User]2, where [User and User]1 is a living member of your team who will kill [User and User]2. The murderer selected as [User and User]1 by over 50% of the living members of your team will murder the man selected as [User and User]2 by over 50% of the living members of your team.

You win if the Rejects win.
<BlueKirby>Mooooooooooooole

Sums it up quite well. The Double Agent was supposed to be the Rejects' way of gathering info. They had no inspector, so this was their primary method. Unfortunately, just when BlueKirby was about to successfully convince Fishin to give him spreadsheet access, his team killed off thunda, who had almost moled his way in. BK and Twash unfortunately never got inspected, so we couldn't show their PM. Also, it appears we messed up with their fake PM, with the win condition being "The Town wins" instead of "The Town win" (and we could have helped him out but cutting out the Double Agent mentions in the pms). We apologise for that. We'd like to add that BlueKirby was the person who took the game in the right spirit the most, and we'd like to commend him for it.

Attention [Amelia/Puggy],

You are the Second-Rate Bodyguard.

PERSONAL SECURITY FOR HIRE. SURVIVAL GUARANTEED. That's what it says on your agency's advertising hoarding. You take care to ensure that you uphold your agency's name, doing whatever it takes, which is why the Double Agent hired you for the Rejects.

However, with the violence in the town escalating to unrealistic levels, you have realised that you are a man of limited capabilities, and are not good enough to make good on your claim by simply protecting a user. You have decided to preemptively assault users whom you think might harm your team. At night you may send a PM to Raikage or Gmax titled 'Night X - Assaulting [User and User]'. You will break into their home and assault them, resulting in any night action they may have been planning now being targeted at you.

The other people on your team are

Kumar/GTS
BlueKirby/Twash
GreenPikachu/Lightwolf

Again, just a standard martyr. In conjunction with the BG and the Clothes, this role was meant to fuck around with the opposing teams' inspectors and killers. The BG died D1 and the Clothes never reached this pair, for some odd reason. This role was what the team was mostly based around on, but it ended up idling all the time instead :(

NEUTRAL

Attention [dak/Doomsday],

You are the Psychotic Maniac.

You've had a terrible, terrible past, good sir. And now, you're a terrible, terrible man. But that won't affect you, oh no. Nothing will affect, or so you thought. Recently, however, something strange's been going on. You've been talking more to others, in particular a kind old lady who treats you the same way she treats everyone else. Your thoughts have...become weird, and you find yourself engaging more and more in 'normal' activities. Nonetheless, you still know that you are the most important person of all...But maybe that mother figure is a distant second. And things that are important to you...Well, they are important. And you don't know what you might do if you lose them...

You win if you are alive at the end of the game.
WINNERS

As is quite obvious from the role PM, they went mad and obtained killing powers when the Old Woman died, and needed to kill everyone else to win. This role was created with the intent of activating midgame so as to limit the total number of kills, while still giving the player an actual chance of winning. Unfortunately, dak and doomsday were inspected by the Shady Men as well as the Town on Night 0 (fucked by the town as well coincidentally), and were almost lynched Day 1. Luckily for them, they managed to turn it around. The mafia also never killed the Old Woman, because of which the Town never lynched them. If they had managed to evade inspection and actually turned wolf, the game would possibly have gone in a different direction.

Tbh I sat back and let Billy take the lead in when to join the village. I wanted to see how he'd play it, and he chose a very cautious time, sometime around Night 3. Next time you are bg you might want to claim sooner, but not early enough that you give yourself away to a potential mole.

Either way, I had a fun game. The two death magnets surviving? A Village win? What will happen next??

Nothing much I could do when the BG died, honestly. I didn't dare to get anyone for the fear of 1) being killed, and 2) being inspected. We decided not to move the clothes onto me because i was already suspected, but i don't see what difference that would make though.

Edit: And Urgh, i was hooked every night BEFORE i was even suspected.

Yea, completely my fault. I was too cautious this game. At least it didn't harm anything.

Yeah, I think Jimbo sent out the command to wear the clothes at Night 5 prior to the announcement of ending it since Town completely obliterated the mafias. Anywayy, good game. But like it says in our description, I found my role very boring :( The lack of items is probably why, but that's to be expected in a much downscale game.

Good game everyone.

You forgot 3)
3) You were hooked every night after they started suspecting you

Yeah! I'd like to thank FishTAY and mataKannon for being awesome players and we really couldn't have done it without you! (or crossfire I guess)
thanks for a good game, raikagemax!

This was more of a learning curve for me than anything and I actually learnt quite a lot, even though I made some mistakes (typing join #superpowerful into #fluodome instead of /join #superpowerful was annoying, but funny in the end when BK made up some story).

We really tried to get into Fishin / TAY's spreadsheets but Fishin was just being quite protective over them (rightly so), which didn't help us. I think we probably should have started trying to infiltrate the village 100% right from the start maybe...

Special thanks to Raikage and Gmax, and especially to Blockirby for helping me in this mafia, it was thoroughly enjoyable!

Earthworm/Cyzir did a number of things to make me suspicious. Cyzir asked me to have him inspected n0, which was a rather strange request for someone that wasn't a mole. Both of them constantly hounded me for information, and then somewhere midgame Earthworm tried to convince billymills (who I wasn't sure about at that point, though I did have a hunch that he was bg) that he was the bodyguard, so if billy was mafia, he would naturally target Earthworm and I could use the actual bodyguard's protect on Earthworm, wasting the mafia's kill. Needless to say, this just made their position worse since if I listened to them, I would be drawing the bodyguard away from a more important role. Also weird was a log I got from forks:

03[23:54] * Now talking in #cyzirworm
03[23:54] * Topic is 'MAFIA PARTNERS ARE EVAN/SHADE AND BLUEKIRBY/TWASH'
03[23:54] * Set by Earthworm on Sun Mar 15 03:25:27
01[23:54] <forks> it's forks!
03[23:54] * Earthworm changes topic to ''

Once evan/shade died and was revealed as village, I figured it probably didn't mean much, but it was still odd.

Looking at the night actions, it becomes even more apparent how lucky the town got (beside double crossfire and chanserv going down revealing the last Shady, the Rejects also cancelled out the Shady kill n1). I probably still would've been at least fairly suspicious of GP/LW even if they had received the correct item movement, since their role was beyond pointless, they took forever to contact me despite having a completely worthless role and (most importantly) I got no results after inspecting them, which conflicted with their role PM. Honestly, though, I think I would've been pretty likely to trust Bluekirby if it weren't for the "win if the Town wins" in his PM since knowing the names of all the items in the game would be pretty difficult without having it stated in your role PM.

It was a fun game overall, though, even if it was much more one-sided than it should've been.

#gotmilk forever!

but yeah, this game was alot of fun even though i was afk for a good chunk of it; what I could teach thorns though was put to good use so I commend him for it!

This game was nicely planned, but incredibly short lived. Too bad nothing went the way it was intended, but that's mafia. Despite pretty much coasting it was fun to watch unfold. I still get a laugh out of every other word being "shadily" in the Shady Men descriptions.

And lol, moi didn't stalk anybody else even though I asked him about it >_> Some tutor XP

Personally, this game was pretty bad for me. I wanted to help ETE with stuff because I thought he could be a pretty good player in time but never got to see him on. In the early goings of the game, I was quite busy with irl stuff so I couldn't get time to fakeclaim etc.

After the first couple of nights and Raikage's blunder it was really all over so we sorta even stopped trying.

And then Fishin took advantage of Chanserv being down to drive the final nail in the coffin.

It was a really 'iffy' game tbh!
