On a warm summer day a calm field stands completely silent. The only movement that can be glimpsed at all are two trainers slowly crossing the field towards each other. They meet in the center, exchange a few words, and quietly cross back to their respective sides of the field. The match has been set and the rules are as such:

Battle type: 1v1 Singles
DQ Time: 2 Days
Restrictions: 2 chills/1 recovery
Music: Janne Da Arc - Vampire
Arena: Simple grassy field. There's a lake off to the side for Water Pokemon/attacks.

Let's go Lark the combusken! A mirror match eh? this should be fun.

Start with a Dig in order to hit him wear it hurts. Then Sky uppercut him and finally Dig again. If he decides to dig himself, replace counter on the actions he decides to hit you.

Roy starts off the match by quickly showering Lark with Feathers, drastically lowering its attack and hopefully making the battle to come easier for Roy. Lark spits out the feathers and digs underground to avoid the cloud of down. A second later it pops back up and hits Roy for decent damage.

Roy tries to stave off Larks attacks by setting up a substitute to block further attacks. He finishes it just in time too, as Lark charges forward and smashes the sub with an epic sky uppercut, but the subsitute doesn't break from the powerful attack.

Roy capitalizes on the protection he has from the substitute to charge up a Focus Punch. Lark tries to Dig underground to hit through the substitute but only manages to come back up and destroy the sub. Just as Lark digs back up, Roy finishes charging and smashes him with the fully powered Focus Punch for decent damage.

well I remember them passing a vote to increase the stat increase from boosts to 1.75 but i guess they never decided to actually put it down anywhere so ill fix em up. And i somehow forgot that Combusken is already part fighting type lol, altho focus punch is still only sposed to deal 20 cause Roys attack is only 3 vs 2 defense so it comes out to 19.5
