Format: 4v4 Singles
DQ: 96 Hours (i won't take this long)
Abilities: ONE
Switch: OK
Items: ON
Substitutions: TWO
Mega Evo: ONE
Infinite chills / Recovers
Arena: Erlenmeyer Flask
Arena Type: Urban
Field Type: Poison, Water
Complexity: Simple
Formats: All Formats

Restrictions: OHKO moves are banned.

Description:
In the beautiful world of PYREX™ lies a gigantic titration flask, half-full with some ungodly acid; the opening is barely large enough for daring trainers to slip through, and so, of course, that's where the gym battles always take place.

Anything poisonous is powered up in this flask, especially slow-acting toxins. Yet, the water content is enough those who need it to draw their power from. Despite borosilicate's resistance to thermal expansion and network solid configuration, it's still quite fragile and vulnerable to a Pokemon's attacks. As such, the most powerful item of all – Expert Belt – is banned for eternity.

Summary:
Effects
  • BPSN starts at 2 DPA instead of the normal 1 DPA.
  • Rain Dish and Dry Skin are activated at half value in clear weather.
  • Expert Belt grants +0 BAP on super effective attacks.
  • Poison-type Pokemon gain Liquid Ooze as an ability.
Codifications
  • A Pokemon afflicted with PSN that would be PSNed again by an attack will have PSN replaced with BPSN which starts at 2 DPA.
  • Weather Ball is Water-type.
  • SolarBeam retains its full BAP. Morning Sun, Moonlight, and Synthesis restore default amounts of HP.
  • Camouflage replaces the user's typing with a Poison typing.
  • Nature Power will call Sludge.
  • Secret Power will afflict BPSN with a 30% chance.

Lazy. Pay Attention to Shokoli the Fidgit and Bruno the Steelix. Maybe some day I will expand on this.

Gambo (Snorlax (M))
Nature: Quiet (+SpA, -Spe)

Type:

- Normal:Normal STAB; +1 BAP on attacks that match dominant arena type after 3 actions. Unable to have Thrash or Outrage disrupted by oncoming damage.

Abilities:

- Inmunity (Passive): This Pokemon's body has an immensely strong immune response to venom and does not take poison damage when Poisoned. Toxic Poisoning will not do damage; however, it will continue to grow more severe.
- Thick Fat (Passive):This Pokemon has a great deal of extra fat or muscle that increases its resistance to extreme heat or extreme cold, reducing the type effectiveness of Fire- and Ice-typed attacks to the next level of resistance (2x weak becomes neutral, neutral becomes resistance, etc.)
- Gluttony (Unlocked) (Passive): This Pokemon devours healing and stat increasing berries at 50% health (flat) instead of 25% health (flat). It also regains two (2) HP per action when holding Leftovers.

About: One of tavok's first Pokémon, Gambo is the MvP of the team, being the one with the most training and experience. He has showed his worth against many opponents, winning most of the fights he's been at, even managing to KO two of the Battle Pike Queen's Pokémon in the team's first confrontation with her.
Gambo is quite courious, trying to understand everything that is around. He's also a quick learner, managing to perform many moves just after trying a couple times.
He doesn't talk much, but he has a deep thrust in both his trainer and his partners. If there is a tough fight coming, Gambo is the one to fall back on.

Bruno (Steelix (M))
Nature: Brave (+Atk, -Spe)

Type:

- Steel: Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm damage, immune to Poison/Toxic status, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, making them susceptible to Poison-type attacks and Poison/Toxic Status.

- Ground: Ground STAB; immune to Sandstorm. Ignores Arena restrictions on Dig and Seismic Attacks for Arenas in which any land mass exists, Evasive Digging reduced from 6 per action Energy Cost to 5 per action.

Abilities:

- Rock Head (Passive): This Pokemon's hard body prevents it from taking recoil damage from moves such as Double-Edge, Flare Blitz, and Head Smash.

- Sturdy (Passive): This Pokemon's body is solidly constructed, reducing the Base Attack Power from an opponents incoming attacks by one (1). The effect is amplified on OHKO Moves, which are reduced by ten (10) Base Attack Power.

- Sheer Force (Toggle) (UNLOCKED): No default effect. When toggled, this Pokemon can energize all its attacks with a secondary effect (These are damaging moves that either lower the target's stats, raise the user's stats, or inflict a status condition on the target). The Base Attack Power of every move with a secondary effect increases by two (2), but they will never have their usual secondary effect.

Sturdy (Bronzong (M))
Nature: Brave (+Atk, -Spe)

Type:

- Steel: Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm damage, immune to Poison/Toxic status, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, making them susceptible to Poison-type attacks and Poison/Toxic Status.

- Psychic: Psychic STAB; can lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Abilities:

- Levitate (Passive): This Pokemon naturally floats above the earth when released or easily takes flight, evading the Ground moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, and Magnitude. Earth Power will have three (3) less Base Attack Power. Dig and Dive can strike a Levitating Pokemon if their user is over Size Class 4, has Levitate, is 3.5m or larger, or is a Flying-type. Otherwise Dig and Dive will miss. Ground moves can still hit.

- Heatproof (Passive): This Pokemon's mirror-like alloyed skin protects it from Fire-type attacks, reducing the type effectiveness of Fire-typed attacks to the next level of resistance (2x weak becomes neutral, neutral becomes resistance, etc.) The damage inflicted by burns is also cut in half.

- Heavy Metal (Passive) (UNLOCKED): The Pokemon's body structure is immensely dense, doubling its actual weight. Adds two (2) Base Attack Power to all Weight-Based Attacks. Adds Base Attack Power to Gyro Ball equal to half (0.5x) the Pokemon's Weight Class, rounded up.

Randy (Metagross (-)) He's male, don't let GF confuse you.
Nature: Quiet (+SpA, -Spe)

Type:

- Steel: Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm damage, immune to Poison/Toxic status, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, making them susceptible to Poison-type attacks and Poison/Toxic Status.
- Psyquic:Psychic STAB; can lift and throw opponents with Psychic regardless of Special Attack Rank. Psychic-type attacks are not godlike and cannot be used as a catchall for Disabling, Binding, and redirecting opposing attacks.

Abilities:

- Clear Body (Passive): This Pokémon's body structure makes it immune to stat-lowering moves used by opponents. (e.g. Intimidate, Growl, Screech etc.)

- Light Metal (Passive, Unlocked): The Pokémon's body is made of a lightweight but extremely strong alloy. It weighs half as much as other members of the species, but is equally sturdy. The Pokémon executes weak attacks much more effectively, adding +1 priority to all their attacks with 6 or less Base Attack Power (after other ability adjustments). Priority is applied to the summed Base Attack Power of a multi-hit move (e.g. Double Kick has priority at 6 BAP, Skill Link Bullet Seed doesn't at 15 BAP.)

About: One of tavok's starting Pokémon, along with Gambo. Being quite weak when he was a Beldum, Randy felt like he held Gambo back, putting too much pressure on his partner since he couldn't do much himself. This feeling is what finally impulsed him to evolve into a Metang, trying to be stronger, but not much changed, as Gambo was still the powerhouse. He even fell even more behind when Gambo also evolved, being surpassed in literally every aspect.
Now, however, after lots of training and finally feeling the support of his friends, Randy managed to become a Metagross, now being as powerful as he had ever wanted.
Randy is quite energetic and analytic, despite what one would think, prefering to ready himself properly before assaulting his opponents with his powerful moves.
While not as experienced as Gambo, Randy is still one of tavok's most trusted Pokémon, and one to watch for.

There used to be on the old DAT, but it disappears during transition. It may be worth looking upon, but in this match no WC restrictions regardless.

Round 1!

Am I the only one that finds it weird that the Stall Gym never used hazards before? <_<;. Really makes you think.

Sure, Fidgit here was battered and damaged a lot, but that is the price you got to pay I guess. But if the Leader can keep the hazards on the field for long, it should pay up that sacrifice in no time.

here goes

Knock Off – Focus Blast – Sludge Wave

IF (Bide A1) THEN (Use Low Kick A2 and Protect A3)
IF (Nonconsecutive Protective / Evasive) THEN (Use Rain Dance the first time, chill the second, push actions)

There are probably better ways to play this.
... Too bad I have no idea of what they are.

Whirlwind - Protect - RP: Whirlwind*

*Blow away those spikes!

Round 2!

Lady fortune sent out Tavok's A-mon: Gambo the Snorlax to the battlefield. To each the Leader responded with Kailu the Toxicroak.

After seeing how hazards removed a good chuck of snorlax's health, the challenger decides to go with a different approach, somewhat similar to what the leader did last turn: he had Gambo get rid of Kailu with Whirlwind and then use it again, after protecting against a pesky attack, to remove the spikes from the battlefield (Rocks are still there). On the meanwhile, Kailu beat Snorlax down silly.

Whirlwind brought Kozu the Crobat, which is something good for the challenger, given as it has no SE STAB to work with. Still, that Crobat is pesky and the leader is unpredictable, so let's see how it all pans out.

130 - 12 [Spikes] - 12 [Stealth Rock] - 16 [Knock Off] - 20.25 [Focus Blast] = 69.75 = 70 HP... unless I missed something... which is quite probable...

- IF Fly AND not in a combo, THEN Smack Down the first time, Counter the second and Smack Down the third, pushing actions back every time.

And thanks to a 2-action sleep roll, this was a pretty uneventful round.

Kozu forces out Bruno the Steelix which is probably the best possible matchup for it. Which doesn't mean it is a good match up though <_<;.
