PokéMafia Postgame

Basically I can't be on the computer for many reasons, so I'll be making this over time, sort of. You might want to check back over time in case I update this.

Comments by me, Raikage

The main draw of this mafia was supposed to be evolution, but I agree with many others that evolution was never a big enough factor in this mafia. I suppose Avatar and I didn't want to rock the boat too much. The other big surprise in this mafia was the composition of the numbers and roles. The village had much more people than the mafia - a true uninformed majority. To make up for it, the village had much worse roles than the mafia. All in all, I thought the game was actually pretty balanced. Every side claimed that they were the weakest (including the supposedly broken Strong) and most people had differing views on the strongest side.

Role PMs

You are Mew. You are allied with the Pure.

You’re Mew! You’re pretty awesome in this game, being the leader of the Pure. You have decided to rally those with similar ideals against your enemies Darkrai and Rayquaza to fight for peace and justice in the New World. As one of the most powerful psychic Pokémon ever, you possess some unique abilities – most of them revolving around evolution.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – De-Evolution Beam [user]. That’s right, you’ll use a beam of warping psychic energy to send whoever you wish to back into his previous stage of evolution. This beam will not be able to de-evolve Pokémon which start off as evolved already.

You also hold two items. One of them is the Everstone. Whoever holds the Everstone will not be able to evolve as long as the Everstone is in his possession. The other is the Psycho Plate, a gift from Arceus. It does not count a held item. You are n’t sure what this Plate does, but you must decide who to pass it to in the event of your death during Night 0. You can change the recipient of the Psycho Plate during any night thereafter. You can do this by sending Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night X – Pass on Psycho Plate to [user]. You may not give away the Psycho Plate via any other means.

You win if the Pure win.
Mew wasn't very well used. It was said that if you found a bad guy you could kill him with the vig or just lynch him, but Mew had other uses as well such as de-volving his own team when it was beneficial and also because he held the Everstone. In addition, he was an important bargaining tool for use with Jirachi.

You are Shuckle. You are allied with the Pure.
You are more than well-known for your stellar defenses. However, despite trying to aid your friends in the upcoming battle, you have been brushed off as being too weak for the Strong. Since you never liked them anyway, you have decided to help the good guys to make sure not even one of your former allies will lay their hands on them. And of course, the same goes for any other baddies.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Protect [user]. You will use your own impregnable shell to cover them, and that user will be protected from night kills that night. You may not protect yourself.

You also hold the Metal Coat, which you took from the Strong when you betrayed them. You have no use for this item, however.

You win if the Pure win.
Bog standard BG who couldn't protect himself. I decided to give him an evo item to guard to make it a little more interesting.

You are Ditto. You are allied with the Pure.
You love to copy everyone and everything! You don't have much skill yourself, but you can certainly do a good imitation of anyone. Well, almost anyone.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Transform into [user]. You will copy the role of this user. However, you're only able to pick from dead Pure roles. You are also only able to retain their role for 1 cycle. You may do this only once during the game.

You win if the Pure win.
Ditto was originally fucking powerful but in line with our philosophy of weak village with numbers we nerfed him bad. Sorry Outlaw!

You are Dragonite. You are allied with the Pure.
You prefer to live on your own, far off in the sea, where no one can bother you. You're a gentle soul, but you don't like being around people much.

Due to this, any inspections done on you will receive an NPC result, and should you die or be kidnapped, it'll not be immediately appare nt to other users. It’s up to you to decide how you want to use your unique abilities to help your side.

You also hold the Pokeball. You don’t know what this item does, though.

You win if the Pure win.
...And sorry, Mekkah. This role was basically a negative role and drew loads of suspicion. It also held the Pokeball, which kidnapped the guy holding it for a cycle. Mekkah suggested that it would have been better to say that the guy holding the Pokeball gets killed if he holds onto it longer so that it would be passed around and fulfill its hot potato role.

You are Bidoof. You are allied with the Pure.
You are quite a joke, and nobody takes you seriously at all! Unfortunately for those who look down on you, you have quite a useful ability due to your non-presence. Nobody care s about you, and thus you can easily snoop around to check for items.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] - Useless [user]. You are so useless that nobody minds telling you their items, figuring it can’t do any harm.

In addition, you have formed a partnership with Zigzagoon. He is [this person].

You win if the Pure win.
You are Zigzagoon. You are allied with the Pure.
You are well known for your affinity for items, and this is even more so now that you have a partnership with Bidoof! You go around sneakily and pick up items using your useful trait, complementing your partner’s ability.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] - Pickup [user]. You will steal that person’s items (if any) and take them for yourself.

As mentioned, you have formed a partnership with Bidoof. He is [this person].

You win if the Pure win.
Twins, except I don't believe in the 'gains power when they die' concept. Instead, they were given roles that worked fairly well together.

You are Lopunny. You are allied with the Pure(?).
Despite being part of the Pure, you are anything but that. One could say that you get around…in any case, you’ll be using this rather dubious ability to your team’s advantage in the upcoming conflict.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Cute Charm [user]. That user will be infatuated with you that entire night and will follow you around. Of course, what proceeds from that is unknown, but what you do know is that that particular user will be unable to do anything that night.

You win if the Pure win.
Bog standard hooker.

You are Voltorb. You are allied with the Pure.
You are definitely one of the bravest Pokémon, considering how one of your best moves involves blowing yourself up. You have chosen to aid your friends in the upcoming battle using the most brutal method: taking someone you perceive as an enemy down with you.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Selfdestruct [user]. You will use your very life to take that user down, and both of you will be killed.

However, this doesn’t mean that you should be selfdestructing at a moment’s notice! You also hold the ability to evolve. At night you may instead send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title ‘Night [x] – Charge’. This will cause you to store energy in yourself that is vital for evolution. After three nights of charging, you will evolve into Electrode.

You win if the Pure win.
You are Electrode. You are allied with the Pure.
Congratulations of evolving fully! However, you have entered an ironic situation. Although you have come this far to evolve, you will doubtlessly have to end your life at some point; as Electrode, you hold the most destructive power of all.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Explosion [user]. You will blow yourself up together with that user. Now that you are Electrode, this awesome power is second to none, and nobody will be able to stop you, regardless of their ability, from taking that user down with you.

You win if the Pure win.
Voltorb/Electrode are the standard suicide bombers that I invented as a false claim all the way back during Apocalypse. They're actually a pretty good role since a 1-for-1 deal is great with the village's numbers. We lied, by the way, Deoxys Defense Form beats the `Trode.

You are Delibird. You are allied with the Pure.
You are one of the stereotypical Christmas Pokémon, and you carry a sack around with you, presumably full of presents to complete the image. This time, you won’t have any Christmas powers. Instead, we’ll be using that handy sack of yours.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Putting Note in Sack. Write a message in the main body of the PM. You will put this note in your sack and we will publish this message instead of your real role PM when you’re killed. This message can be anything, from an announcement cursing your enemies to a fake role pm or even someone else’s role pm, just don’t make it unnecessarily long or we might refuse to publish it out of annoyance.

You win if the Pure win.
Remarkable role but Dubulous (sadly) butchered it. Basically, this role could have faked an inspect, bg, vig, or any other power role death and throw the mafia off guard, but it was never used this way.

You are Porygon. You are allied with the Pure.

You are a technological marvel, being the first man-made Pokémon to exist. You will be using your superior technological abilities to help your allies, the Pure, in this war. These abilities allow you to do what no other Pokémon can do – generate weapons.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Inventing Weapon. The next day, you will receive the newly created weapon. You can only do this on even nights (0 is an even number). Unfortunately, as you can only hold one item at a time, you won’t be able to create a weapon while holding an item. You don’t know what to do with these weapons, either, but you surmise that they will be important for your side during this war.

You win if the Pure win.
You are Meowth. You are allied with the Pure.
You’re one of the most intelligent Pokémon out there, if the anime is anything to go by – you have learnt how to speak in human languages and you resemble a human more than a Pokémon. In the original world, this wasn’t worth much, but in the New World, which is completely devoid of humans, this will be your special ability.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Using Weapon on [user]. You will use your human-like intelligence to operate weapons and blow up whoever you deem to be an enemy, and they will be killed that night. Unfortunately, you do not have any weapons on you at the moment. You’ll just have to get them from somewhere!

You win if the Pure win.
The vig pair. This made for a pretty weak vig since you couldn't protect both of them and they were also doubly vulnerable to inspect and hook.

You are Noctowl. You are allied with the Pure.
You are a nocturnal Pokémon who prefers to be active at night instead of during the day. You considered accepting Darkrai’s offer to join as part of the Devious, as many of his brethren are part of the night as well. However, eventually you decided that you agreed more with Mew’s ideals and will now use your expertise to aid the Pure.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Turning Head Backwards and Observing [user], where [user] is an alias which has already been killed. You will spend all night with your head turned backwards, which serves to enhance your intellectual ability, and figure out the cause of death of the corpse.

You also hold the Reaper Cloth. You don’t know what this does, but you have no use for it.

You win if the Pure win.
This role was invented due to me and Avatar recalling our Cell shenanigans back in DBZ and the Cthulhu fiasco in Apocalypse. The main idea was that you could check the deaths for a third faction or to check if someone had betrayed you, but this role was never very useful. To make him marginally more important, we gave him an evo item to guard.

You are Unown. You are allied with the Pure.
You are the symbol Pokémon, which is actually kind of cool. Unfortunately, you are n’t of much use in battle and neither of the mafia groups would have accepted you. You have therefore decided to join up with the Pure instead. You can’t really do much, but you do have a writing-based ability.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Sense [user]. You will use your inherent connection to writing to search the mafia’s secret subforums and determine how often this alias is mentioned. You won’t know the exact number, however.

You win if the Pure win.
Poor thunda. This role was intended to be one of the most useless roles, but it could have proven marginally useful if it had survived for long, but it didn't.

You are Pichu. You are allied with the Pure.
You’re the pre-evolution of Pikachu, the most famous Pokémon ever. You’re pretty well-known yourself, as a matter of fact. You have decided to join the Pure to help fight against the baddies in spite of your youth. Unfortunately, you don’t have anything much to contribute at the moment.

As of now, you possess no special abilities.

However, you do possess the ability to evolve! Should you ever be in possession of the Electromagnet, you will super-evolve into Raichu the following night, and maybe you’ll be able to take a more pro-active role in the battle.

You win if the Pure win.
You are Raichu. You are allied with the Pure.
Congratulations on evolving! After acquiring the Electromagnet, you have successfully evolved into Raichu. As the evolved form of Pikachu, you hold quite a substantial amount of influence over your peers.

Due to this great influence of yours, your opinions are naturally more heavily weighed by others. Your vote will thus count as two votes instead of one during the Day.

You win if the Pure win.
You are Pikachu. You are allied with the Pure.
Congratulations on devolving! After being devolved from Raichu to your ultimate form of Pikachu, you now hold a power unmatched by anyone else. You are Pikachu, and you are the most famous and popular Pokémon ever. Your sway over others is therefore unparalleled.

Your amazing popularity makes what you say count much more than an ordinary Pokémon. Your vote will thus count as three votes instead of one during the day.

You win if the Pure win.
The mayor/champion. Nobody picked up the oddity of Pichu evolving to Raichu and skipping the famous Pikachu stage and thus the secret evo was never unlocked. It was pretty hilarious since Lightwolf was frightened to death of the de-evo beam, not realizing it would make him stronger.

You are Charmander. You are allied with the Pure.
You are a fire-type Pokémon who is still in his first stage of evolution. You have decided to help your friends, the Pure, in the fight against the Devious and Strong. You don’t have many special abilities at the moment, but the flame on your tail does come in handy.

At night, should you ever be targeted by any aliases, the flame on your tail will illuminate them, and you will be able to tell which aliases have targeted you. You won’t be able to tell what these aliases have done, however.

This isn’t all, however. You are also able to evolve! After 3 nights have passed, should you still be alive, you will automatically evolve to Charmeleon.

You win if the Pure win.
You are Charmeleon. You are allied with the Pure.

Congratulations on evolving! You have now evolved into Charmeleon, and you are much stronger than before. Your increased prowess in battle is embodied in your ability to shoot large blasts of fire at anyone who approaches you. Unfortunately, you have lost your previous ability of knowing which aliases have targeted you at night.

Instead, you are now immune to being killed at night. Should anyone attempt to endanger your life, you will ward them off with your fiery breath, and they will be forced to retreat, leaving you safe and sound.

You are still able to evolve one more time. Your requirement for evolution is much tougher this time, however. You will need to have the Charred Ashes in your possession; once you have done so, you will automatically evolve the next night to Charizard.

You win if the Pure win.
You are Charizard. You are allied with the Pure.

Congratulations on evolving fully! As Charizard, you are one of the mightiest Pokémon alive on your side. You are able to produce flames that are hot enough to effortlessly melt rock, which, coincidentally, is the type you hate the most. Also, you are big and strong in general, which makes you near unmatched in a fight.

At night, send a PM to Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST with the title Night [x] – Blast Burn. You will rampage around, shooting colossal blasts of fire at whoever dare s to approach you. Any alias that chooses to target you for this night will be dead from his severe burn wounds in the morning. You may only do this once, so choose the most opportune moment.

You win if the Pure win.
Charmander was actually a powerful little role as it cleaned a large amount of people and was arguably better than Charmeleon. Charizard never materialized but he could have been very effective as killing some mafia would have been invaluable with their small numbers. It wasn't stated but he had a cap of 3 aliases killed maximum. He also formed a combo with Mew in that after the rampage was used he could be de-evoed back to bpv.

You are Electabuzz. You are allied with the Pure.

"I tell you, kid, electric Pokémon saved me during the war!" You are n't just any ordinary Electabuzz. You were originally an Electabuzz who belonged to Lt. Surge, and your chief duty during the war was to carry his weapons and hand them to him during battle. Although this meant that your fighting ability as a Pokémon was severely compromised, it also allowed you to gain a special talent.

You are so adept at handling items that you are able to hold two items instead of the usual one. In addition, you have two items in your possession from the war. The first is an Electromagnet. It is crackling with electric energy. The second is a Rocket Launcher. Unfortunately, you have no use for either of these items and do not know what they may be used for.

You win if the Pure win.
A role that only works in a restricted item-hold mafia. Nothing much to say here about the role except that it also works as an item guard since a thief could only hold one item.

You are Slakoth. You are allied with the Pure.

You're a lazy Pokémon. We all love being lazy. You are so lazy, this is actually your selling point in this game. And if you're wondering why this is so short, it's because I'm lazy.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Slack Off [user]. You will laze about in front of this user. Should this user try to kill you, you won't actually die. Since your heart beats at about once a minute, he'll think he succeeded, though. At any time thereafter, you may send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Day/Night [x] – I'm a slacker, not a possum. You will return to life in another alias. Should you attempt this with no empty aliases available, your powers will not work.

You hold the Slowpoke Tail. This is an item you found while lazing about with fellow friends. You don't know what its use is, though.

You can also evolve, although one would think you're too lazy to do it. Since you're so lazy, though, you didn't bother to figure out how your evolution works.

You win if the Pure win.
You are Slaking. You are allied with the Pure.

Congratulations on evolving fully! You are now a much more mighty Pokémon, and you possess monstrous power. Unfortunately, you're still as lazy as before, if not even more so, and thus can't be bothered to get up and annihilate your enemies. Even dying is a pain though, and you are too lazy to do it.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Slack Off [user]. This works the same as when you were Slakoth, except now you only need to target a teammate of whoever killed you to return to life.

You win if the Pure win.
Bog standard rogue that evolved into a team rogue, which I thought was a neat way of solving the rogue problem. Vigoroth didn't exist.

You are Rotom. You are allied with the Pure.

You are able to inhabit electronic appliances, being some sort of electric ghost thing. This affinity for machines has allowed you realize something strange...That this world actually exists on some sort of machine. And humans are controlling these machines.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Possess [user]'s computer. You will search through his computer and discover his Smogon name.

You win if the Pure win.
Pretty standard role here that died early, the only significance it had was inspecting Rayquaza under Ttar's protection and thus keeping Rayquaza alive until the final night.

You are Ampharos. You are allied with the Pure.

You're in charge of the Lighthouse present in the New World. You weren't very certain why there's a lighthouse present in the first place, since there's no need to travel by sea during this current conflict and Alchemy isn't present. However, trusting that Dialga and Palkia had their reasons, you eventually discovered a use for it.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Operate Lighthouse. You will Light Up The Night and flood the entire are a of battle with light at night. This will ensure that nobody will be able to do anything, and they will thus choose to lynch another person as though it was a day. After this, however, everyone will be too tired to do anything and there will thus be two nights in a row. You may only do this once.

You win if the Pure win.
This role was apparently very confusing and I can't imagine why. It swapped the order of day and night such that there would be 2 days and then 2 nights. The net benefit of this was basically that you could kill off a mafia earlier and his ability would be lost for an additional night, but this role was never used.

You are Natu. You are allied with the Pure.
You possess prophetic abilities, and can look into a person's future. You have decided to aid your fellow psychic, Mew, in the conflict against the Strong and the Devious since you decided they weren't badass enough for you.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Future Sight [user]. You will look into this user's future and determine if they are able to evolve. As an added bonus, you will be able to determine that user's stage of evolution. For example, if you inspect an Ivysaur who started the game as an Ivysaur, you will receive a result of Stage 2.

Having peered into your own future, you are aware that you can evolve. Use Future Sight successfully for 3 nights and you will evolve into Xatu.

You win if the Pure win.
You are Xatu. You are allied with the Pure.

Congratulations on evolving fully! You are now Xatu, a Pokémon that stand stills all day and does nothing. This is speculated to be because of your boosted psychic powers in your evolved state. These powers allow you to see the future even more accurately, and you do not move because you are afraid of fulfilling your own prophecies.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Future Sight [user]. You will look into this user's future and determine if they are able to evolve, as well as the role ability of their evolution (assuming they can evolve). You are also to determine that user's stage of evolution as you could before.

You win if the Pure win.
Evo inspector. It's actually pretty powerful and can detect moles pretty easily but it didn't do anything significant.

You are Zangoose. You are allied with the Pure.

You are a fierce Pokémon with vicious claws, but you are actually a good guy and you accepted Mew's offer to join the Pure. You are an expert in fending off enemies, since that's what you've been doing for your whole life against Seviper. Your blinding speed comes in handy, as well.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Guard [user]. Any thief that attempts to steal this user's item will fail, as you are awesomely fast and will intercept them before their attempt succeeds. It also helps that you're quite scary, I guess. You won't be able to protect them from anything else, though

You win if the Pure win.
Thief guard. It could protect Buzz to ensure the safety of two items, and was unknowingly the target of Seviper to make it more powerful. This resulted in a bit of confusion since the Devious were convinced Zangoose was Strong instead of Pure.

You are Heracross. You are allied with the Pure.

Master Heracross. That's who you are . You're the Pokémon version of those Chinese Kung-Fu masters who live on deserted islands and spend their time beating up palm trees to refine their martial arts. In your case, you bite through trees. Mew has requested for your aid in the upcoming battle, and you were happy to oblige.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Training [user]. You will teach your secrets of being unwallable to this tutee and your training will thus speed up his evolution. You aren't sure exactly how this works, though.

You also have a Persim Berry, which you picked off a tree. You were told it tastes terrible, though, and thus decided not to eat it.

You win if the Pure win.
Kung-Fu master Heracross counted one night action as two for purposes of evolution, and we decided to give him a berry to guard from Garchomp to make his role a bit more involved.

You are Jigglypuff. You are allied with the Pure.

Ji~~~~~glypuff~~~~~~~~Jiggly~~~~~You love to sing, but get extremely angry when people fall asleep while you do it. Mew has promised you an audience in the upcoming battle, which is all you care about. He has also rigged your microphone such that when you sing into it normal words are emitted instead.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Sing into Microphone. Write a message in the main body of the PM. This message will be published the next day.

You are in possession of the Microphone. This item is what allows you to send messages each day. Unfortunately, at the moment the batteries are still charging and thus you can only use it starting from Night 1. Should anyone steal this item, they will be able to send messages as well, so take good care of it!

You win if the Pure win.
Announcer. Avatar and I envisioned a good mole stealing the Microphone and causing mayhem with it but this never materialized. Jigglypuff could evolve as well by announcing thrice, but he wasn't told that. Wiggytuff was the same as Jiggles but could send an anonymous message to an alias every night as well. I mainly did this to reward the village if they kept the item where it was supposed to be.

You are Gardevoir. You are allied with the Pure.

When Mew was gathering allies for the upcoming conflict, you were one of the first Pokémon he approached. Your telepathic abilities allow you to discern what a person is thinking, which of vital importance in this uncertain battle.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Trace [user]. You will peer into your target's mind and discover his role pm.

You win if the Pure win.
Standard inspector.

You are Drifloon. You are allied with the Pure.

You are the Balloon Pokémon. You were looked down by the Devious, whom you attempted to join, as you were deemed to have no special abilities. Mew is a more accepting person than Darkrai, though, and arguably more perceptive as well, for he knows that every ability has its use.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Prepare for Scouting Mission. You will spend 2 nights and 2 days preparing to leave on a scouting mission, as ordered by Mew. You may do this on Night 0. You will then leave for 5 days and 5 nights, floating in the sky like a hot air balloon, during which time you will be considered as a kidnapped user. You may still speak to people.

You know that you can evolve, and it will happen once you return from your scouting mission.

You win if the Pure win.
You are Drifblim. You are allied with the Pure.

Congratulations on evolving! You are now Drifblim. Unfortunately, you didn't gain any powers even after you have evolved. However, you have succeeded in your scouting mission, and it would be wise to inform the rest of the Pure on what you have learnt.

Your travels through the skies and your great observation skills have allowed you to learn that Juggler and Galactic Grunt are NPCs. This doesn't mean that they are the only NPCs left in the game, though.

You win if the Pure win.
The balloonist. Finding 2 NPCs could have proven pretty useful in my opinion since it would have helped shed some light at the end game. Inspired by Apoc for both roles, the inspiration for Driftblim being that during Apoc we had no idea who were NPCs and thought Max and zerowing were NPCs when they were really just idlers.

You are Diglett. You are allied with the Pure.
Nobody has ever seen what the bottom half of a Diglett looks like. This might be because Diglett are very good at digging, and nobody can catch up with them underground. Who knows? Your digging talents will be of great use to the Pure during this war.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Graverobbing [user], where [user] is a dead alias. Should he have in possession any items during his death, you will take them for yourself.

You are also capable of evolution. Should you ever successfully steal an item off a dead person, you will evolve 2 nights later.

You win if the Pure win.
You are Dugtrio. You are allied with the Pure.

Congratulations on evolving fully! Three heads are better than one, or so they say. Now that you have evolved to Dugtrio, your digging abilities are even greater and you can traverse the underground as though you were swimming through water.

You still retain your old ability. At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Graverobbing [user], where [user] is a dead alias. Should he have in possession any items during his death, you will take them for yourself.

In addition, due to your improved abilities, you will now automatically pick up items that a user is holding during his time of death. If you are holding an item when this occurs, you will not pick up the new item. If more than one user was holding an item upon death, you will randomly pick up one.

You win if the Pure win.
Scavenger, not much to see here.

Devious

You are Darkrai. You are allied with the Devious.
You are the leader of the Devious, and you wish nothing more than to place the world under your grasp. Unlike the blockheaded idiots of the Strong, you believe in cunning, wit, and a quick mind; your method of choice is subtlety. You yourself possess immense ability expected of a legendary Pokémon, but no smart Pokémon carries out his plans alone. For this reason, you have assembled a team of Pokémon to aid you in the upcoming conflict that are worthy of you.

However, cunning Pokémon do not allow themselves to be infiltrated easily. To prevent a possible betrayal from affecting your team too much, you have been split into groups, bar one lone soul who you have great prospects for. This Pokémon is Abra. He will be of great use to you in future.

In addition, your personal Bodyguard, Mr. Mime, and one young Pokémon, Duskull, are with you. They are [user] and [user] respectively.

Of course, you also possess two great powers yourself. Firstly, you are able to use Dark Pulse. This will direct a blast of dark energy that will disable the targeted user for that night. Secondly, you also have your signature move, Dark Void. This will encompass the targeted user in an extra-dimensional space for a day, preventing them from posting in the main thread in the morning.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Dark Pulse OR Dark Void [user]. You may only choose to use one of your powers every night, and you may never target the same user for consecutive nights.

You also have another special ability. You have created a shadow clone for yourself, who is [user]. The password to this account is [password]. You are allowed to login and use both accounts to post, but only one alias will have its vote counted – the alias you are currently occupying. Currently, you are occupying [user], but at night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Swapping Presence. This will switch your presence to the other, unoccupied alias.

The unoccupied alias is for all intents and purposes an NPC you control, and can be killed or lynched normally. It is not susceptible to other night actions like other NPCs, however. If your unoccupied alias is killed, you may no longer swap your presence.

In addition, you possess the Dread Plate. It does not count as a held item. This symbolizes your leadership of the team, and you may designate one member to pass this Plate to should you ever be killed. You must decide who to pass it to in the event of your death during Night 0. You can change the recipient of the Dread Plate during any night thereafter. You can do this by sending Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night X – Pass on Dread Plate to [user].

You win if the Devious win.
An extremely powerful role that provided some much needed muscle to the Devious, who mostly were comprised of queers. Darkrai was easily the strongest of the three eaders.

You are Gengar. You are allied with the Devious.
You are a close aide of your leader, Darkrai, and you possess two unusual abilities. You are well known for being a trickster, and you also have the ability to control shadows. You will be using these two talents to aid your team in the upcoming battle.

Your team has been split on Darkrai's orders. Your team consists of Chatot, the stealth communicator, and Seviper, your team's killer. They are [user] and [user] respectively.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Shadow Trickery [user]. Write a message in the main body of the pm. The alias that you have targeted will believe that their role has changed to whatever you have written. You will NOT be able to trick them into believing that their win condition has changed. However, this trickery only lasts for the next night and day, after which they will be informed that their role has returned to normal.

You also have an additional ability to make items. At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Shadow Matter [item], where [item] is the name of the item you want to create. You may also write a message in the main body of the PM to serve as a description of the item for those who hold it. You will receive the item the following day. The items do not actually serve any purpose, but you may use them as you see fit, and you can give them away to other people. As you can only hold
one item, you cannot create Shadow Matter items while holding an item.

You win if the Devious win.
Tricky little role and probably the most creative one in the game, but I thought that it wasn't nearly used as well as it could have been. The Devious kept trying to get people godkilled instead of tricking people as was intended and dak saw through Shadow Trickery as a result of this. Shadow Matter was used ok and was partly why there were so many items with unknown properties in this game (nearly all of them) - so that a Shadow Matter item wouldn't arouse too much suspicion.

You are Abra. You’re allied with the Devious.
You’re an extremely smart, yet shy Pokémon. You really don’t like being around others, and as such you don’t know much about who’s around you. You’ll quickly run at the sight of anyone getting nearby, as well. Darkrai has seen your potential and recruited you into the Devious, but unfortunately you've lost contact with him, as well as the rest of the team.

You have the ability to teleport. Should you be targeted during the night, you’ll automatically teleport and the role will fail.

Stay alive long enough to evolve and you may be pleasantly surprised! You are n't allowed to Press B.

You win if the Devious win.
You are Kadabra. You're allied with the Devious.
Congratulations on evolving! As Kadabra, you are now capable of going on the offense against your enemies. Your psychic abilities are now stronger and you are capable of generating a psychic blast.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Kinetic Blast [user]. You target will be paralyzed due to this blast and will only be able to act on odd nights from then on. It is possible for him to cure himself if he acquires a Cheri Berry, however.

You are also able to evolve once more. Simply use your Kinetic Blast successfully on any target and you will evolve the following day. You aren't allowed to Press B.

You win if the Devious wins.
You are Alakazam. You’re allied with the Devious.
Congratulations on evolving fully! You’re Alakazam, a Pokémon blessed with extremely strong psychic powers and an IQ of over 5000, capable of overperforming a supercomputer. Due to this, not a single mind can hold any secrets from you; you can read anyone’s mind like an opem book.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a private message with the message Night [x] - Miracle Eye [user]. You will basically rape that guy's mind and discover everything about him, gaining his role PM in the process. Your telepathic powers are so potent that nobody will be able to resist.

You win if the Devious win.
A funny evo line. Abra was a bit of a troll because we envisioned the Devious running around trying to find him when he was basically invincible as long as he kept his mouth shut, and Kadabra was a filler role since we didn't want Zam out so quick. It also gave us an excuse to introduce more useless items to the game (berry).

You are Hypno. You are allied with the Devious.
Although you may not have the strongest psychic abilities around when it comes to offense, your hypnotic abilities are unrivaled. Your skill in manipulation was highly prized by Darkrai, and he has recruited you to join his cause.

You have been put into a pair on orders from Darkrai, your leader. Your partner is Banette, the necromancer. He is [user].

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] - Manipulate [user]. You will hypnotize that user during the night and he will have no choice but to follow your vote. The day after, whether the user posts a lynch vote or not, his vote will be counted along with yours. The user will be made aware that he was targeted by a role of some sort, but not the details.

Alternatively, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Hypnotizing [user1] to give items to [user2]. User 1 will give user 2 the item he possesses, if any.

You win if the Devious win.
A very powerful late-game role that was used to pretty good effect. Vote changers tend to be useless early game so we decided to give him a pretty good thief as well so he had something to do during early game.

You are Duskull. You are allied with the Devious.
You are certainly one of the most persistent Pokémon, and are innately talented because of your abilities to turn invisible and pass through walls. Darkrai has recruited you for his cause due to the usefulness of your special talents.

Your team has been split on the orders of Darkrai, your leader. You are with the leader himself, Darkrai, and Mr. Mime, his personal bodyguard. They are [user] and [user] respectively.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] - Follow [user]. You spend all night follow that user and if that user is a member of your team, you will be able to discern his identity.

You may also evolve. Currently you are still a shy Pokémon, but if your entire team is assembled in the main Devious forum, you will gain more self-confidence! This will allow you to evolve.

You win if the Devious win.
You are Dusclops. You are allied with the Devious.
Congratulations on evolving! Now that you have evolved into a stronger state, you may take up a more active role in defeating your enemies. Your body is a literal black hole, allowing you suck up whoever you desire.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Black Hole/ Remove from Black Hole [user]. That user will be sucked into your body and will not be able to speak, use any ability, or vote. Of course, he will not be able to be spoken to, be the target of abilities, or be lynched as well. You can only hold one person at a time, and you may not remove a person and add a person in the same night. If you die, the user who was inside you will be freed.

You are also able to evolve again. This time, you will need to acquire the Reaper Cloth. Once you have it, you will evolve the next day.

You win if the Devious win.
You are Dusknoir. You are allied with the Devious.
Congratulations on evolving fully! You are now a major power player in your team. As a messenger to the spirit world, you are able to communicate with those who have fallen.

You can speak with all dead people at any time you desire. This is an extremely potent ability, so use it as well as you can.

Moreover, the border between life and death matters to you no more. Should you get targeted by a kill, it's all the same for you - you will not be taken out of the game. However, you're still susceptible to lynches; if everyone hates you enough to vote you out of town, you'll go cry in a corner and leave the game.

You win if the Devious win.
Another funny evo line. I thought Duskull -> Dusclops was a good way to make the recruiter useful after the team had been assembled. Ironically, Dusknoir proved to be more useless than Dusclops due the number advantage conferred by kidnap, whereas Dusknoir's strategic deadtalk was worthless since all the dead Devious swore not to deadtalk in exchange for info on the game.

You are Seviper. You’re allied with the Devious.
The scars over your body are proof of your long-running feud with Zangoose. You’ve decided to ally with the Devious as Darkrai has promised you Zangoose's death with the aid of the rest of your team. The poison you carry within your body is extremely strong, and no Pokémon afflicted by it can hope to survive.

On the orders of your boss, you have been split up into groups. Your team consists of Chatot, the stealth communicator, and Gengar, who has some strange talents. They are [user] and [user] respectively.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title - Night [x] Poison Tail (y) [user], where x is the current Night number and y is the number of days you wish to delay your kill. Your target will be afflicted with deadly poison, and will die accordingly. For example, if you target someone on Night 1 and delay it by 2 days, they’ll be dead at the start of Day 4. As your poison is not yet at full power, you must always delay your kill by at least 1 day. However, should you ever kill Zangoose yourself, you will be able to develop stronger poisons by analysing the antibodies in his blood, and you will not need to delay your kill.

In addition, you are in possession of the Cheri Berry.

You win if the Devious win.
A deceitful killer that wasn't used all that well, partly because it died so early, but it did get revived. It was thought that the the role could be used to mess with the other's perception of the Devious' kills but the Devious didn't bother to use it in this way. If Seviper hadn't been revived the Devious would have to pick a role as killer and then had the restriction of being unable to kill on prime numbered nights (2,3,5,7,11,13, and 17 if it ever got there)

You are Mr. Mime. You are allied with the Devious.

As the Barrier Pokémon, you are capable of emitting force fields that harden the air you touch, turning them solid. Darkrai has realized the potential of this ability and has recruited you to act as his personal bodyguard. Of course, you are expected to protect the rest of the team as well.

Your team has been split into a few groups to avoid infiltration. You are with the team leader, Darkrai, and Duskull, a young Pokémon. They are [user] and [user] respectively.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Barrier [user]. That user will be surrounded by an impenetrable layer of air and nobody will be able to kill them. You may Barrier yourself if you wish to.

You win if the Devious win.
Standard BG, but he was the only one who could protect himself.

You are Chatot. You are allied with the Devious.

You look pretty cute and innocent but unbeknownst to anyone, you're actually in league with Darkrai. Who would have thought? Your ability to manipulate sound waves has turned out to be unexpectedly useful for your team. All according to Darkrai's plans, of course.

Your team has been separated on Darkrai's orders. You are with Seviper, the poisoner, and Gengar, who has some special abilities of his own. They are [user] and [user] respectively.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Chatter. Write a message in the main body of the PM. This PM will be sent anonymously to the Strong. You may only use this ability three times during the game.

You win if the Devious win.
With the numbers in the game, we thought that a crossfire would be pretty fatal and thus introduced this role. It was also a bit of a natural role since the mafia inevitably has to co-operate anyway.

You are Banette. You are allied with the Devious.
You are greatly skilled in manipulating marionettes, and this, creepily enough, extends to even your own teammates. Your duty in this war as tasked by Darkrai is to ensure that, should any of your allies fall, they will be able to continue battling even beyond the grave...

You have been split in groups. Your leader, Darkrai, has placed you in a partnership with Hypno, the manipulator. He is [user].

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Animate [user]'s corpse, where the alias targeted must be a dead member of your team. You will be able to manipulate his corpse, essentially allowing you to use his role. You may only do this once during the game.

You may also send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Invite [user] to death with death butterflies. He can't say no. You may only do this once during the game.

You win if the Devious win.
Necromancer, with an extra kill to make the Devious' kills even more tricky (and make up for the one day lag time of Seviper's).

Strong

You are Rayquaza. You are allied with the Strong.
You are the leader of the Strong, and indeed, your might is nearly unparalleled. You have a sincere belief that only the truly strong should rule the New World, and you have gathered a team of like-minded individuals to impose your ideals upon those who would resist your monstrous might.

As the leader of the Strong, you are able to choose which of your minions will kill. At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title – Empower [user] with Draco Plate. This user will be made the new killer of your team and can, at night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Draco Meteor [user]. That user will be dead the following morning. This is possible even if the killer is not a dragon-type. However, your team may only kill once during N1 and N2, once during N3 and N4, and so on.

Since you're so big and scary, no thief will dare to target you at night. Should anybody attempt to steal your item, their ability will not work.

Lastly, you also possess your trademark ability: Air Lock. At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Stand in the Heavens. Your entire team will be surrounded by an impenetrable barrier of ozone. Any kills that attempt to target your team will not work, but strangely enough any other night actions will still be effective. You may only do this once in the game.

As mentioned earlier, you possess the Draco Plate. It does not count as a held item. This symbolizes your leadership of the team, and also grants the ability to choose the killer. You may designate one member to pass this Plate to should you ever be killed. You must decide who to pass it to in the event of your death during Night 0. You can change the recipient of the Dread Plate during any night thereafter. You can do this by sending Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night X – Pass on Draco Plate to [user].

You win if the Strong win.
Rayquaza had bosschoice and global BPV, but global BPV was never used due to Eo being hooked and killed during the fatal night. It may have helped to use it earlier. All in all, actually a pretty weak boss since bosschoice is really a team ability rather than role specific, so we made him immune to thieving as well.

You are Machop. You are allied with the Strong.

Although you are fairly weak now, your potential and drive for combat has been recognized by your leader, Rayquaza, and you have been accepted into the Strong. You still have other uses even if you're not yet fit for direct combat!

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Low Kick [user]. Using Low Kick, you are somewhat able to gauge the targeted user’s ‘weight’ or importance to his team. Although vague, this power can still come in useful in certain cases, so don’t underestimate it.

In addition, you are able to evolve. Use Low Kick three times successfully and you will evolve into Machoke.

You win if the Strong win.
You are Machoke. You are allied with the Strong.
Congratulations on evolving! Now that you’ve evolved, you have gained more power and a stronger ability as well. Your love to fight has only increased, and with this has come the strength to take your enemies head-on.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Submission [user]. You will pummel that opponent into submission and he will be unable to do anything that night. However, you may not target the same person twice in consecutive nights, and the recoil from doing the move effectively causes you to be silenced the following day as you recover from the exertion. You will not be able to post in the main thread the following day.

And here’s an extra perk: you can evolve! Use Submission three times successfully and you will evolve into Machamp.

You win if the Strong win.
You are Machamp. You are allied with the Strong.
Congratulations on evolving fully! You are definitely one of the most important members of your team now, and are indeed worthy of being known as one of the Strong. As Machamp, you hold your own unique ability that is unmatched by any others.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – No Guard [user]. If there was a bodyguard of some sort protecting that user, you will use your four arms to disable and fight him one on one. Even if that user was the target of a protection of some kind, he will still be susceptible to kills that night. However, this does not affect any kind of ability besides protection, and you may not use this ability for consecutive nights, so choose wisely.

You win if the Strong win.
The Strong's version of the funny evo line. Machoke was possibly weaker than Machop but it was mostly a filler role. Machamp basically gave the Strong unblockable kills but they had to conform to either odd or even nights only instead of their olympian kill if they wanted that. Machamp could also throw someone over the horizon and force them to walk back to the battlefield (which we thought was hilarious), essentially kidnapping them for 2 cycles, though the above pm wasn't changed to reflect that.

You are Riolu.

When Rayquaza was recruiting for the Strong, you decided to join his team. Although currently you are still weak and small, you impressed the great dragon with your courage and inner strength, and he accepted you, looking forward to your growth in the future.

At the moment, you are unable to use any abilities.

You are , however, able to evolve. Unfortunately, you don't know how this can be achieved. If you could somehow manage it, though, you might be able to take a more pro-active role in the conflict.

You win if the Strong win.
You are Lucario.

Congratulations on evolving! You are now Lucario, the Aura Pokémon. Using your control over Aura, you have an extremely special ability to control the movements of others. This ability will be of great use to your team, but it is limited in use, for your Aura is derived from an unbelievable source: the lifeforce of your departed teammates.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Aura Reversal [user1] to [user2]. The first user will have his night action redirected to the second user. There are some users that cannot be affected by this ability, however. In addition, this ability is limited in the number of times it can be used. For every dead teammate, you may use this ability once. For example, if 3 of your teammates are dead, then you get 3 uses for each teammate, after which you cannot use your ability until another teammate dies.

You win if the Strong win.
Poor aamto didn't know anything, then died. Riolu evolved when 2 of his team members died and Luke got a redirect for every dead member with insane priority, but he still couldn't affect killers.

You are Tyranitar.

You are a Pokémon who possesses such great power that it is said your rampages can change the landscape. You were a natural choice for Rayquaza when determining the members of the Strong, and you accepted his offer to join his team as it gave you license to rampage as you liked.

Due to your special trait, Sand Stream, you will be immune to inspection. Should anyone attempt to inspect you, the sandstorm will prevent them from doing so properly, and they will receive the result of inspecting an NPC instead. In addition, your sandstorm is large enough to hold an extra person. At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Bring [user] into Sandstorm. That user will be protected from inspection for that night as well.

In addition, you are able to cause an Earthquake using your immense might. During the day, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Day [x] – Time to Redraw the Maps. You will rampage about and cause so much destruction that the lynch will not be able to proceed normally. You may only do this once.

You win if the Strong win.
Broken role according to many. I must admit it was extremely powerful but I thought that it was made weaker by Dragonite, whose PM should have alerted the village to the possibility of inspected 'NPCs' being protected aliases.

You are Scyther. You are allied with the Strong.

Your wicked scythes are excellent for offense, and you possess blinding speed that catches your opponents off-guard. Unfortunately, none of your teammates wanted to or were able to do the job of bodyguarding, so Rayquaza has chosen you to do it instead. Too bad!

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Hide in tall grass around [user]. Since you're like a ninja, no one will ever suspect that you are in fact in the random piece of tall grass around your target. Should anyone try to take the life of your target, you will jump out of the grass and fend them off. Unfortunately this doesn't work on yourself, naturally.

It is also possible for you to evolve! Should you ever be in possession of the Metal Coat, you will automatically evolve into Scizor the following night.

You win if the Strong win.
You are Scizor. You are allied with the Strong.
Standard BG for Scyther. Scizor gained a one-time revival ability where he could activate the ability and come back if he's killed within 2 cycles of activating the ability.

You are Flygon. You are allied with the Strong.

Also known as 'the spirit of the desert', you have learned to use your abilities in unique ways. Now, it might be more appropriate to call you 'thief of the desert'. You aren't all that fast but your powers make you a gifted thief who is adept at handling items.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Sandstorm [user]. You will kick up a sandstorm around your target and then make away with his items before he can do anything.

You may also send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Scan [user]. You will use your 'goggled' eyes and antenna to search the target for any items.

You win if the Strong win.
Bidoof and Zigzagoon combined into one, in line with the 'stronger roles' theme for the mafia.

You are Exploud. You are allied with the Strong.

You're a Pokémon capable of generating earthquakes by simply bellowing. That's pretty mighty, but Rayquaza has observed that you guys are outnumbered and thus must take a more secretive approach to this conflict. This doesn't mean there's no use for your abilities, though!

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Hyper Voice. Write a message in the main body of the PM. This PM will be sent anonymously to the Devious. You may only use this ability three times during the game.

You win if the Strong win.
Ctrl F 'Chatot'

You are Salamence. You are allied with the Strong.

You're a big, firebreathing dragon, so when Rayquaza was calling for allies, you naturally joined up. You won't be using your offensive capabilities for the purpose of this war, though. As a Bagon, you dreamed desperately of flying. Now that this is realized, you will use this ability for your team.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Soar above [user]. You will soar high in the sky and spend all night following this user, after which you will have determined his role.

You are also wreathed in a shroud of dragon fire. This works as a shield against anybody who may try to take your life. This is only good for one use, however.

Lastly, you are in possession of the Charred Ashes. You don't know what this item is used for, though.

You win if the Strong win.
An inspector that we tried to make more interesting by giving him a one-time BPV and an evo item.

You are Gabite. You are allied with the Strong.

You are the Cave Pokémon and spend most of your time skulking around caves. To your surprise, Rayquaza gave you an offer to join the Strong, claiming to see hidden talent within you. You figured that this was better than living in a cave so you accepted his offer.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Track [user]. You will use your years of experience of living in a cave to follow this user at night and see who he targets with a night action.

You are also able to evolve! Track a user successfully for 3 nights and you will evolve into a mighty Garchomp.

You win if the Strong win.
You are Garchomp. You are allied with the Strong.

Congratulations on evolving fully! You're now Garchomp (holy shit!). You still retain your old ability to track others, but now you have acquired a new power that may even rival Rayquaza's might, and you are an integral part of the team.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST and PM with the title Night [x] – Outrage [user1], [user2], [user3], and [user4]. You will kill one user every night, starting with user1 on the night you used Outrage. For example, if you Outrage during Night 5, user1 will die during Night 5 and users 2, 3, and 4 will die on Night 6, 7, and 8 respectively. Should you ever be lynched while in the middle of your Outrage, you will still take the next user to be killed with you when you die. After your have finished your Outrage, you will be in a state of confusion and you must make typo errors in every word when you post. This effectively prevents you from posting a legitimate lynch vote, and should you violate this restriction, you will be godkilled. You can cure your confusion by consuming a Persim Berry. You may only use Outrage once.

You are also able to Track users normally as per your previous role.

You win if the Strong win.
Garchomp the mighty. Gabite was already fairly good but Garchomp was extremely strong. I don't think it's justified to claim that Garchomp was broken though due to his restrictions and the fact that the Devious actually had more kills as a team than the Strong did.

Neutral

You are Deoxys. You have no allegiance.

You’re a Pokémon from outer space. Arceus has brought you in secret to the New World, and has given you explicit permission to carry out your wish: eradicate every other life form on the planet except for yourself. You possess tremendous power that is quite capable of fulfilling this objective, such as your Shapeshift ability, which grants you Speed, Attack, and Defense Forms. You are also able to kill, of course.

At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Psycho Boost [user]. You will unleash a deadly beam of psychic energy and fry this user to a crisp. However, you will need some time to achieve complete power. Hence, you will only be able to kill on odd nights until Night 6. You will be able to kill every night from Night 6 onwards.

You can also Shapeshift into each of your special forms once. At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Shapeshift into Attack/Defense/Speed Form. You will gain different special abilities based on the form.

Shapeshifting into Attack Form lasts 2 nights, including the night you Shapeshifted. Your kills will be unblockable for the duration you are in Attack Form.

Defense Form renders you completely immune to everything in the game for 2 cycles, including lynches, starting from the night you Shapeshifted. However, you may not post a lynch post or kill while in Defense Form.

Lastly, you have access to Speed Form, which lasts for 2 nights, starting from the night after you Shapeshifted. While in Speed Form, you may send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Following [user]. You will use your blinding speed to easily keep track of the user, and you will have discovered his role by the end of the night.

You may not be in more than 1 form at the same time, but you may use more than 1 night action every night.

You win if you are the Last Man Standing.
One of my favourite roles; I thought it was a pretty good wolf. We gave him a .75 kill since there were already too many kills in the game (especially for his size) and that worked out ok. He was expected to Defense Form early to gain access to his full kill but instead took the risky route of holding on in hopes of winning at the end through Def Form, which wasn't a bad strategy. Had a good false claim.

You are Jirachi. You have no allegiance.

You are the Wish Pokémon. Unbeknowst to most of the Pokémon present in the New World, you have been brought in by Arceus to observe the fighting. You don't really know why you need to do this, but never question the Boss. As one of the legendary Pokémon, you possess a plethora of powers that will aid you in your task. In addition, Arceus has partnered you up with Celebi, another legendary Pokémon who has a mission of his own. Both of you have been instructed to aid the other with his respective objectives.

You know the identity of Celebi. He is [this user].

You also possess an item of tremendous power – the Starchild. It is possible to make wishes upon this special stone, at which point it becomes a binding contract for all parties involved.

In order to use the Starchild, all parties involved must, at night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Wishing upon Starchild. The details of the pact must be stated in the main body of the PM and the item will only activate if this main message is the same for all PMs sent. You may wish to talk more with the hosts, Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST, to clarify what you can and cannot do with the Starchild. The item may be given away or stolen, at which point it will be usable for whoever possesses it. However, change of possession will not affect any wishes made previously. In addition, the item is directly linked to your existence and thus will return to your possession one night after it is stolen. Wishing is the highest priority action in the game.

In addition, you have two abilities, only usable if others wish upon the Starchild. The first is your trademark move – Doom Desire. Whoever should be targeted by this move will be surrounded by meteor showers during the night and no killer will be able to get close to him. In addition, you may also open your Third Eye. By targeting a user with your Third Eye, you will freeze him and he will be unable to do anything that night.

Lastly, you cannot be killed at night. Arceus does not want his observer to be killed accidentally during this conflict, and has thus made you invulnerable. You are still affected by any other actions, however, and you can still be lynched.

You have been informed of three different Plates – the Psycho Plate, the Draco Plate, and the Dread Plate. Your job is to keep track of who is in possession of which Plate at the end of the conflict.

You win if you are able to correctly state the holders of the three Plates at the end of the game and the game ends no earlier than Night 12.
You are Celebi. You have no allegiance.

You are the Time Travel Pokémon. When Dialga created the new dimension, you naturally sensed a ripple in time. You thus spoke to Arceus on the matter, and persuaded him to send you to the New World, as you can cross time but not space. Upon your arrival, you immediately travelled to the future, where to your horror you discovered a temporal fork: if the current conflict ends before the twelfth night, it will be followed by never-ending battle and war. On the other hand, if it ends after the twelfth night, it will be followed by a century of peace in the New World. Being a peace-loving Pokémon, you have decided to fight for peace!

To aid you in your mission, Arceus has partnered you with Jirachi, who has his own task to complete. You know that Jirachi is: [this user]

You are able to throw the game forward by one cycle. At night, or during the day, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night/Day [x] – Back to the Future. This has no practical application in the game other than helping you achieve your objective. You may only do this once.

You are also able to send people to the future temporarily. At night, send Champion Raikage and Boss AvatarST a PM with the title Night [x] – Send [user] to the Future. The user you select will be sent to the end of the conflict during the night, where he will be able to estimate the time of the conclusion. This information is of great use to you, but you will not be told what the user learned. It is up to you to get the information from this user yourself. You may only do this three times in the game. You may not send Jirachi to the future.

You win if you are able to correctly state the holders of the three Plates at the end of the game and the game ends no earlier than Night 12.
The plate duo. Celebi wasn't very well used to EA idling and the roles didn't go as how I thought they would. Jirachi's starchild was never messed with which was disappointing; he could lend the item to the other groups for a night so they could make pacts without him. In addition plate info was leaked so Fishin didn't even need to mess with anyone to get it. The Night 12 condition I thought was pretty good in making sure that the neutrals wouldn't be biased towards anyone.

I havent written all the comments due to lack of time.

This goes for the PMs as well. We obviously didn't write some role PMs until the person evolved, it would have been a waste of time and effort. I'll describe the roles without an actual pm in my comments.

I think this was a balanced game, it all came down to tactical thinking as it should (as smogon mafia trades psychology for tactics O_o).

Some creative new roles, a fitting theme and the concept of evolution. What else could one want?

Hard to say if Gmax' Dusknoir evolution would have changed the outcome.

Magikarp for president.

However, you're still susceptible to lynches; if everyone hates you enough to vote you out of town, you'll go cry in a corner and leave the game.

i have no regrets, although i suppose i should have asked a few people how i could better put my role to use. i knew it was a role meant to die, however, and i believed that a kamakaze was the best course of action. the possibility of taking out an entire team was much too enticing. the reward was worth the risk, i mean.

it also didn't help that the role i claimed was essentially the same as kumar's. live and learn.

You monster, you actually did it. :)

I would have liked to have been more involved in this game but there's only so much one Dragonite can do when dak is demanding control. I'm still of the opinion dak was too careless with info management but you'll never hear him admit it. Did all I could, basically asking Gmax to kill me (he already had me delay-killed at that point so w/e), but making sure to do all I could to get CN to give sheet access to billy/asim/lesm I think before I did die.

The role PMs look very neat in a way, btw. They're not very long, and the overall choice of Pokemon is pretty cool and has some nostalgic feel. At face value, the game doesn't look very imbalanced either, but obviously that's what happens when all three factions gang up on the village at once.

pokemon mafia: the mafia game I lost yet no one had any idea i was even playing until after the game was over (except billymills)

i actually really loved this game, the role pms, roles, etc. though we had some disagreements and i'm still iffy about the balance. i think, even though i made several mistakes, i did the best i could for my team, and that's what counts. gj starting postgame!

lol, so you actually completed it this early. That's surprising. Good job!

This game was a blast! Things weren't looking so good initially, with us having no inspector, having our BG lynched, and having our killer murdered by the Strong, and jumpluff, our mole in the Pure camp, on the verge of being exposed by a pact made with Fishin. It looked like despite having a mole in the village ranks in the form of jumpluff, who was privy to quite a lot of sensitive information, and a decent bunch of roles to work with, we would lose to the village, that had been uniting under dak, LW, CN and Mekkah. The situation seemed pretty bleak. Then things started to pick up really fast. Altair managed to get into the good books of the village, and picked up EW's delayed kill abiity. Jumpluff found Kannon the Zangoose. LN contacted us, and put us in touch with evan and the Strong. We also figured out a way to beat the pact with Fishin. All this took place within three phases, which unfortunately involved the death of jumpluff in between, killed by the Strong because. From that point onwards, both mafia factions and the wolf launched a combined assault on the village using all the info we had amassed with their inspections and jumpluff's moling, taking out the village leadership within two nights, and taking out their power roles the next.

From that point on it was pretty much a war between the Strong and the Devious. We each had a trump card hidden away. The Devious had Altair holding a souped up version of EW's kill after killing Kannon, looking like a villager. The Strong had Eo, their one-time global BG, supposedly hidden away as the supposedly confirmed NPC Gambler. We both believed we had the aid of Fishin (though Fishin worked with the Devious for a large portion of the game, which was of immense importance). So basically after a bunch of tied votes where both men died (which was a gay rule that I hope isn't used again), some more village massacre, with LN falling on the wayside(props to LN, the village would've won without you), we ended up at Night 11, with the village having 8 men, the Devious having 5, and the Strong having 5 too. Two Strong men were due to die that night thanks to a delayed Devious kill and a regular Devious kill. The Strong were activating their one-time Global BG. After much hesitation, discussion and drama, we decided to hook Gambler, since we believed he was Strong, and it would make most sense for the Strong to kill one of ours using him, since he had been hidden all game. This effectively sealed the game in the favour of the Devious the next day, where we managed to get rid of Gambler thanks to a last moment vote switch by Altair, which I'm sure was a nasty shock for billymills and eo. This was a fun game, and the Devious bunch made for a great team to work with. Thanks to the rest of the Devious for being so great, to Fishin and EA for running with us, to LN for dominating the village, and THANK YOU Raikage, Avatar and Chronicles for hosting such an awesome game!

also i want to say that this actually was a very good game except for, as gmax pointed out, the lynching rule.

The whole game was essentially decided, among a few other things, based on the fact that i posted a lynch vote about 4 seconds late.

Also this was kind of another case of "whichever team the neutral decides to help will win", which i hate, but other than these 2 things I really enjoyed this game!
