Tornadus-Therian (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 96 HP / 160 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Heat Wave
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Hurricane

Tornadus-Therian may serve as a good partner for Mamoswine imo. Mamoswine struggles against heavily-armored steel-types like Skarmory, Scizor-Mega and Celesteela, which Tornadus-T is able to incinerate (or, at least, to severely weaken in the case of Celesteela) with Fire-type coverage in form of Heat Wave. In addition, thanks to Knock Off, Tornadus-T can remove Rotom-W's lefties itself and let Mamoswine run a move different from Knock Off, as for example Superpower that could add some cool Fight-type coverage to the core. U-turn should not be underestimated either, because it grants Mamoswine a nice coming onto the likes of Zapdos and SDef Jirachi, allowing it to shoot off its powerful STABs against the opponent's team. Finally, a healthy Tornadus-T is able to check Buzzwole, which is pretty huge considering that Buzzwole may get a substitute easily against Mamoswine.

Tapu Lele @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Psychic
- Moonblast
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power Fire

Mamoswine has two major problems. A low speed tier and a susceptibility to common priority moves. Scarf Tapu Lele can easily revenge kill Pokemon that usually try to revenge kill Mamoswine, its access to Psychic Surge allows it to patch up Mamoswine's priority weakness and its incredibly powerful STAB allows it break down Pokemon that commonly wall Mamoswine.

Tapu Fini @ Leftovers
Ability: Misty Surge
EVs: 248 HP / 176 Def / 16 SpD / 64 Spe
Calm Nature
- Taunt
- Nature's Madness
- Moonblast
- Defog / Scald

Tapu Fini forms an amazing defensive core with Bronzong. Sure, Bronzong's best partners are strong wallbreakers, but the main reason that Bronzong wants strong breakers for partners is because of its horrendous matchup against stall and Mega Sableye and its virtual inability to get SR up during the matchup. That's where Fini comes in. TauntMadness Fini has an amazing matchup against most stall (unless if they have Amoonguss), as it can wear down Chansey and other mons easily by preventing them from recovering. In addition it can create a hazard control core with Bronzong, having SR up when you want them and having hazards away when that's what you want. Finally, Fini takes on Dark- and Fire-types for Bronzong whereas Bronzong takes on Grass-types and other breakers for Fini. Stuff like Firium Z Chomp and Gengar are extremely annoying to this core but otherwise it is really good.

Sorry for text wall lmao

Garchomp @ Firium Z
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Fire Fang

Bronzong generates free switch-ins for Celesteela, Ferrothorn, Fire-types that aren't weak to EQ, Tangrowth, Buzzwole, etc. It also can't keep rocks up vs. any defogger really. SD+Firium Z Garchomp will break these with +2 Earthquakes and Inferno Overdrives, leaving Bronzong free to check the threats it wants to. Speaking of said threats, Bronzong is generally used as an answer to stuff like Lando-T, Mega Metagross, Tapu Lele, and Tapu Bulu -- all of which Garchomp really wants worn down at the very least. Garchomp can also come in on Fire-type attacks that aren't liable to burn.

+2 252 Atk Garchomp Inferno Overdrive (120 BP) vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Tangrowth: 430-508 (106.4 - 125.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Keldeo @ Choice Specs
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Scald
- Secret Sword
- Hydro Pump
- Focus Blast
EVs spread and moveset are pretty standard.

Bronzong is a momentum killer, so if you put it onto a team, you should be aware that you need fast and hard attackers which appreciates SR support.
Here we have Keldeo, which is able to get past many Fire/Steel/Dark types with relative ease thanks to the sheer power of its Choice Specs-boosted attacks and, defensively speaking, can enter into some Bronzong's threats, albeit once or twice at maximum.
In return, SR is really useful to wear down the opponent's team forcing switches to the point he isn't able to check this pony properly anymore. Gyro Ball (such as many other Steel attacks) are useful in this metagame to weaken fast Fairies; Earthquake + HP Ice are for coverage and can net some unexpected kills.
The Evs spread of Bronzong is very good in this case, because you can stomach a Knock Off and, still, you can lay down the SR.

Terrakion @ Rockium Z
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Quick Attack

Terrakion is capable of dismantling defensive cores, but it struggles with the offensive threats that are common in this metagame. Bronzong is a solid switch-in to threats that trouble Terrakion like Mega Metagross, Tapu Lele, Latios, and Landorus-Therian. Meanwhile Terrakion threatens Ferrothorn, Celesteela, Mega Sableye, Zapdos, Tapu Fini, pretty much any defensive mon is severely damaged by Continental Crush or Close Combat, even if Terrakion struggles to switch in on some of them. It appreciates the provided Stealth Rock support, and can switch in on those that try to use Knock Off on Bronzong, as well as Fire attacks from the likes of Heatran.

Volcarona @ Firium Z
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Fire Blast
- Giga Drain
- Hidden Power [Ground]

Bronzong is super passive and therefore lures Steel-types that try to take advantage of it such as Ferro to set up spikes Celesteela for Leech or free Autotomize if offensive etc. Volc takes advantage of this "safe switches" to set up QDs and with little punishment (maybe Leech from Ferro/Steela). Bronzong also provides a nice ground immunity and rock resist that both help Volcarona during a match.

Heatran @ Grassium Z
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Magma Storm
- Solar Beam
- Taunt
- Toxic

Grassium Heatran does a great job at luring in the slower, bulkier Water types that are able to wall Bronzong. Heatran is able to take out the many defensive Steel types that may use Bronzong as set-up fodder with Magma Storm. A combination of Taunt and Toxic lets it act as a good stallbreaker as well, preventing the target from switching out with Magma Storm and slowly withering away at it with. It provides a nice Fire immunity as wells as forms a Steel spam core alongside Bronzong, with Bronzong being able to switch in to Ground type moves thanks to Levitate and physical Fighting types thanks to its secondary typing and, in this case, investment in defense. It may also lure in Ground types that trouble them both, like Garchomp and Landorus-T, with Hidden Power Ice.

Gengar @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Wave
- Focus Blast
- Trick

To me, two of the biggest selling points of Bronzong are the capability to deal with Landorus-T, Metagross, Tapu Lele etc. From the other side, it is slow, a momentum killer as said above, and it's damage output is not great.

One of the first 'mon I can see taking advantage of these traits is Gengar. Choice Scarf is used simply because it is, in my opinion, its most viable set right now, being able to revenge kill important stuff, outspeed other threats, and do not risk speed ties. Examples of these are Pheromosa, Scarf Lando, Mega Metagross, Scarf Tyranitar, and so on.

+ With the loss of levitate, it benefits from anything that can reliably swith into Landorus and Garchomp, which is the case of 'Zong.
+ Shadow Ball is not capable of OHKOing Metagross from full. Bronzong can pretty much safely get the chip damage necessary.
+ Bronzong can switch into Psychics from Lele for days
+ Dents bulky waters that try to wall Bronzong - Tapu Fini, being the most common, is 2HKOed by Sludge Wave, and the less common Suicune and Slowbro are dealt with Trick and Shadow Ball, respectively.
+ Unfortunately, both share a Dark weakness that can be annoying - but not much, considering the amount of fairy types making Dark Pokémon like Bisharp and Tyranitar less used.

Replays:
Team peaked 1600 using a core composed of Bronzong, Mega Alakazam and Scarf Gengar. I am not the creator of it, though.
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7ou-526653619 - bronzong constantly pivots into Lando and Thund to aid its teammates
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7ou-526524424 - a little more of Zong vs. Landorus matchup, which alleviates pressure on Gengar
http://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen7ou-526266766 - A-Marowak, that can simply destroy bronzong, is koed by gengar

reserving volcanion

Volcanion @ Choice Specs
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Steam Eruption
- Fire Blast
- Sludge Bomb
- Hidden Power Electric

Like the other Fire-types that have been mentioned, Volcanion functions as a nice wallbreaking partner for Bronzong. Volcanion is able to check Fire- and Steel-types (Celesteela, Skarmory, Ferrothorn specifically) and is able to discourage Water-types from switching in due to the threat of a potential Bloom Doom. Bronzong helps check Ground-types for Volcanion.

Charizard @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Flare Blitz
- Roost

For very similar reasons as stated by the previous posters, Charizard-X is an exceptional partner for Bronzong. In terms of defensive synergy Charizard and Bronzong cover each other's weaknesses very well. For example, Bronzong is an excellent check to the two most dominant Ground-types in the tier Landorus-T and Garchomp, while Charizard is one of the best Fire switch-ins in the tier while also being able to take advantage of the Pokemon Bronzong lures in such as Celesteela, Skarmory, and Ferrothorn.

Week 4: ScarfChomp

Garchomp @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive / Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Rock Slide / Stone Edge
- Fire Blast / Dragon Claw

Heatran @ Grassium Z
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Magma Storm
- Solar Beam
- Taunt
- Toxic / Earth Power

Choice Scarf Garchomp often struggles to accomplish anything meaningful against teams that contain bulky Pokemon like Tapu Fini, Clefable, Buzzwole and Celesteela. Heatran scares all these Pokemon away while also shutting down Recover with Taunt. Toxic + Taunt is very nice to use against bulky balance teams although Earth Power provides coverage against opposing Heatran and Toxapex.

Landorus-T @ Rockium-Z
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Stealth Rock
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

Inspired from Martin, the premise is that Rockium Lando-T is a pretty good way to break past common stops to Garchomp with boosted a boosted Continental Crush. This includes but isn't limited to Celesteela, Skarmory, and Rotom-W. It's also great for wearing down their other similar checks a ton by overloading them, so Garchomp usually has a very easy time cleaning up. I recommended you go with Fire Blast Garchomp when pairing with Landorus to have an easier time breaking through Physically Defensive Tangrowth and Tapu Bulu.

SR Jirachi

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 200 SpD / 56 Spe
Careful Nature
- Iron Head
- U-turn
- Stealth Rock
- Healing Wish

SR Jirachi handles many Fairies which threatens ScarfChomp, while providing SR support to net some KOs or 2HKOs. SR is here to support our team with its chip damage, STAB Steel move is a valuable asset in this metagame filled with all the Fairies around and Healing Wish gives ScarfChomp (or another powerful attacker) a second chance to shine. A slow U-turn is always useful to take advantage of the monster your opponent has.

Tapu Bulu

Tapu Bulu @ Choice Band
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Wood Hammer
- Horn Leech
- Superpower
- Stone Edge

Tapu Bulu and Heatran are two good teammates both offensively and defensively. Tapu Bulu takes on threats such as Mega Scizor, Mega Venusaur and Amoonguss while benefiting from the reduced Earthquake damage and extra recovery that Grassy Terrain provides.
On the other hand, Tapu Bulu switches into Heatran's weaknesses almost perfectly and hits hard in return with CB equipped. Additionally, its ability, Grassy Surge, offers many useful utilities, including halving the power of Ground-type attacks, thus providing passive recovery and further powering up Heatran's Bloom Doom at once.
The Pokemon is ScarfChomp not Heatran lmao

The title of the thread says Bronzong again :x
Reserving Marowak-Alola

Marowak-Alola @ Thick Club
Ability: Lightning Rod
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Fire Punch
- Shadow Bone
- Bonemerang
- Stealth Rock

Scarfchomp has 2 roles: A revenge killer and a late game cleaner. As a revenge killer it doesn't need any support so I figured Marowak-Alola would be a nice partner to let him clean late game. It draws Landorus-T (one of the best stops for late-game Scarfchomp) and deals a nice amount of damage without being hurt by the RH. It also sets up rocks which draws Fini and hits it on the defog for half of its health. Bulky Grass types that tend to switch into chomp also give Wak free hits weakening other mons for a late-game clean or killing the grass-types if they stay in.

Metagross @ Metagrossite
Ability: Clear Body
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Meteor Mash
- Ice Punch
- Bullet Punch

Metagross breaks down walls for Garchomp to clean up late game. It also answers common checks to Garchomp like Landorus and Tapu Bulu. Since Metagross and Garchomp share a lot of checks, they can also easily overwhelm the opponent, as his answers can't come in infinitely, while meta and chomp are both bulky, fast, and strong pokemon that force lots of switches. (Dragon Steel has pretty good defensive synergy as well)

Magnezone @ Choice Specs
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 132 HP / 252 SpA / 124 Spe
Modest Nature
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power Fire

With opponents like Skarmory, Celesteela, Bronzong, Ferrothorn, and Mega Scizor out of the way thanks to Magnezone's Magnet Pull, Garchomp has a much easier time clicking choiced Outrage and Earthquake. Fairy-types and bulky Ground-types hate Flash Cannon as well. The EVs allow it to outspeed uninvested Mega Scizor.

Tapu Fini

Tapu Fini @ Leftovers
Ability: Misty Surge
EVs: 248 HP / 192 Def / 16 SpD / 52 Spe
Calm Nature
- Taunt
- Nature's Madness
- Moonblast
- Defog

Defog users such as Tapu Fini can utilize Defog to eliminate entry hazards while obtaining assistance in removing problematic Pokemons such as Heatran and Xurkitree.
Nature Madness' users are great partner for Dugtrio because you can weaken the opponent's pokemon to the point Dugtrio can KO it later with ease.
On the other hand, Misty Terrain on the field for 5 turns means no WoW spam for your physical attackers and no Toxic for your bulky pokemons, Tapu Fini included.
