This has not been confirmed.
WHere has ANY of this been confirmed? You realize these are all rumors, right? As far as is known, there is no Zanarol and we have no knowledge of any of these types at all. So no, he is not Grass, nor is Yveltal fire, nor is there even a "Zanarol" at all, as far as we have learned.
This isn't just a rumor on Reddit, I actually found the original leak and took the liverty to translate it from Japanese so it could be read.
Lol at people who think this is not a water gun.
Seriously just because it doesnt look exactly like moves from older games doesnt mean its a new move.
Just look at hyper beam, in pokemon colosseum its yellow, in XD its a purple beam and in gba games its red and yellow particles...
Care to post the original leak? If it isn't any different to the pictures posted on the last few pages then it is not confirmed.
It hasn't been confirmed yet, but if this is the case, than why the !@#$ are there so many type triangles this gen!?
Maybe, but I have done massive research and I would (and will) put ALL my chips on this.
Again, care to validate what you're saying?
He is saying he agrees with the quote he quoted, also, validate is not the correct word to use as validate means "to confirm truth." What you want is him to "clear-up" what he is saying. :)
Why would people complain about too many type triangles? When people have been complaining about not enough type triangles since generation 3. Gamefreak being game freak would probably think oh people want type triangles. If they like it on the starters so much they will love it on the legendaries.
What if, instead of changing the HMs we have, we keep, say, surf and fly, but then make all NEW HMs, which would be more powerful and have different uses. A fire-type one to melt down metal stuff. An electric type one to open electronically locked doors. A psychic varient which would do something similar to strength but with the mind. More type variety, and maybe actually make them decent in some aspect, such as:
Melt away: A decent fire type attack which remove's the opponent's held item.
Code break: Lower's the opponent's highest stat by 2.
Mind Force: A powerful move which has the possibility of flinch. Like protect, it is less likely to work twice in a row. The turn after this is used, the opponent is immune to physical attacks. (As it has been thrown across the stage, moving it out of range from physical attacks.)
Thats another idea they could use: Range. Mind Force wouldn't need this to work, but here's how this would work: Along with attacking, pokemon could move closer or further. Some moves/types could work better depending on the range and how far away you are, and some may not work at closer range, while other moves/abilities could move something close or push it away. Probably won't happen, but it's another direction they could go.
EDIT: This definitely won't happen if how the battle system is designed is any indication. But still, a cool idea nonetheless.
Uh, yes, I want him to 'demonstrate or support the truth/confirm the truth' of what he is saying. Validate is entirely the correct word, thank you.
And, no, I don't want him to clear it up. I want him to validate what's he saying by giving his source (thus validating his claim). I know perfectly well what I want and how to say it. Don't tell me otherwise.
Don't make me say "Ha ha told you so!" when I am proven right.
Also although not shown in the trailer and thus unlikely, I want my pokemon to follow me again.
I'm only asking you to give me your source, then I may be convinced. Is this so hard to respond to?
Regardless of what you say, it is not confirmed as Game Freak/The Pokemon Company has not confirmed it themselves.
What in that sentence he said was there to be validated? He is essentially saying "I agree." You need him to source his opinion? Do you want him to source what he is agreeing with?
We're not here to discuss sources, we're here to discuss X and Y. Let's get back on topic.
Don't make me say it IF you're proven wrong.
Whatever your sources, no matter how credible they seem, it does not mean this is CONFIRMED.
Confirmed: Officially announced by Pokemon to be true without any doubt or possibility of disagreement.
As of now, you may think it is true based on your evidence, but it is not CONFIRMED yet. So don't say CONFIRMED and trick stupid people into thinking it actually has been.
How about no, how about you post your source for all these 'confirmations' you're spouting? If it is confirmed from your source that's excellent info for X/Y discussion, don't you think?
@Basileus: Well done, that's exactly what I wanted him to do. Glad you've cottoned on at last. I want him to source why he says it is 'confirmed'. I want validation for his claim that it is 'confirmed'. Please escort yourself to the nearest serebii-esque website if you want to pursue this really very important issue further.
This immediately discredits everything you've said. If you can't back it up don't state it as a fact.
I am not complaining, I am just asking "why now?" it seems so sudden and random to do it now after all these years of not even hinting towards an increase in type triangles. I do find triangles to be interesting, however, it just makes other peoples pokemon harder to counter...
I do enjoy "cottoned on" to things XD.
Bro lets not fight, I would much rather be friends.
Also, I do happen to agree with you that confirming things without a source is quite unorthodox but can you blame the guy for being excited?
Ah damn, I double posted again, sorry guys!
I think call me crazy that Gamefreak actually does do research into what the targeted market wants. With all the cries for a perfect triangle it makes sense to be implement. However as I sad in my previous post game freak has a tendency to believe that if something is good more of it must be better. Thus why I could totally see creating multiple type triangles in one generation. The type triangles also play into GF's love for trios.
See my earlier posts about how bashing other's ideas proves detrimental to discussion.
No it hasn't...
Edit: Sorry, didn't realise other people had already wrote this
I don't think I've ever seen such an inexpert diversion. You're not fooling ANYONE with that. Not to mention that this claim;
is incredibly ballsy and unbelievable without evidence to back it up. You're saying that it is you personally who first uncovered this leak, and was the first to translate it from Japanese? And you expect us to believe this without any proof or even an explanation of how you came across it in the first place?
Anyway, enough of expressing my incredulity at this guys statements... if the leak (which I'm 100% certain did not originate from PlatypusVenom here) proves true and there's more type triangles... I really don't care. Asside from potentially adding some flavor, it really has no impact on the way the game is played. Every Pokemon is going to have Pokemon it does not match up well against either way, only this time it'll be by design instead of by happenstance. Big whup.
